If you want to fight like Neo, You need to speed up your brain to superhuman levels so that you can be aware of their thoughts/actions instantaneously. If you master this skill, you will be a complete badass regardless of physical conditioning. What many fighters don't realize is that fighting is 90% mental, not just in the sense of mental toughness but your awareness/precision/instinct. What people mistake for unattainable talent is just a rare display of these qualities that can be found in all of us. To make it easy, I've created a routine that will raise these capacities to incredible heights when practiced dilligently:
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/brain-training/oMaKsPBYLl8/bBsQQM8GBgAJ

In addition, I highly advise you work on your spatial skills and lucid dreaming. In your dreams, there is instantaneous connection between thought/action, it's also easier to imprint techniques and reactions into your muscle memory while practicing them in your dreams.
https://www.reddit.com/r/LucidDreaming/comments/zdymj/here_is_a_lucid_dreaming_exercise_that_you_can_do/

For your spatial problem solving skills, Practice rubix cubes and other spatial puzzles with time limits placed that force you to chunk visual-kinesthetic information as quickly as possible.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xZARvR7Hd8

Lomanchnko is an example of someone with high levels of mental power, the result of years of training in not merely boxing drills but cognitive test and methods as well, and as a result, he can read his opponents like books.

It's not about fast reactions, it's about prediction. It's like chess and thinking multiple moves ahead of your opponent. Of course the ability to process information fast is beneficial, but simply moving fast is not enough, in fact it can make you very predictable. Look at someone like Lionel Messi, it's soccer but the same principles apply, most people assume he's just extremely quick but that's really not true, he's just very good at predicting his opponents movements. Sometimes he'll actually slow down the ball and his movements, and his opponents, who are trying to outpace him, will overstep and make it very easy for him to simply walk past them.

To elaborate, If you can practice martial arts while lucid dreaming that's an extra 6-8 hours of training a day you can get that even professional fighters can. Tokito ohma uses this method.

Yes, I agree. I'm referring to all mental aspects of fighting in regards to this sort of training.

Everything that's made you capable fighter.
>>
>>23595856
>Everything that's made you capable fighter.
Mainly a lifetime of training. My father started teaching me martial arts at a very young age and instilling the way of a martialartist into me. It's not something that comes over night of after a few years of training. It's about making your moments second nature and removing thought from the equation. If you have to think about blocking that punch you have already been hit. Internal arts is something I picked up after realizing I already have some basic control. Having done a traditional art I was taught some basic internal principles without it being called internal arts.

I'm a martial artist not a brute. Just because you desire money doesn't mean I do. But I have considered it because I could break out of the wagecuckery cycle. I'm pretty fucking light so I think I'd carve up my weight class.

that's just the thing though
my first chain
came before the end
before I was set in
I did everything before I was sent to judgement
before I was cast into this prison
First hit is victory
First chain
its more like Qi Gon
Silly Slap
when she tried again, she used the red dragon
but I embarrassed her with my silly kung fu
I tried making a unique action as a child one time
I tried doing silly things and realizing there's nobody else that did it but me
This looks silly but if the conditions are met and everyone's on the same page we can all mass drive the course of the living entities we live on and ask for the central suns cooperation
Like psychically coming to terms where we want to go
and the cosmic course being changed by us
With the silly slap fight
the misdirection
the dragon would lunge at me
but it could never hit me
and when it came at me
I went the opposite direction following up with a opposite direction attack
my attacks always came from the opposite of his expectation
also
because I have slain more dragons than there are ever in existence
they just like me are immortal
so slaying a dragon doesn't defeat it
it simply humiliates it

Discipline goes beyond patients. Discipline is the expression of one's spirit, their will to succeed.

You will always find a way to counter the balance of wordings with your own interpretation of an other's wordings. Life is too short for you to pull apart the meaning by attempting to find the most negative criticality you can to impose your will on the other. You picked out the part that you disagreed with but failed to mention the part that you agreed with.

Dude I did 9 years of Shotokan and got a black belt and when I started training at an MMA gym I got my ass kicked. Martial arts just doesn’t transfer over and isn’t as practical in a setting like cage fights. Sure it puts you ahead of a complete noob but unless your background was like Muay Thai a lot of martial arts like Kung fu and wing Chung isn’t that useful against MMA people.

What you train is not as important as how you train. Combat "sports" train with aliveness every day. Most kung-fu and "internal" styles do not. It's why people can touch spar and do forms for decades and still get destroyed by a Judo white belt who has been trying to throw a resisting opponent on the ground for three months.

it is most definitely about hurting people

what you use martial arts for is a matter of personal philosophy.

>>
I practiced martial arts for 10 years, before reaching enlightenment and realizing that all conflict is meaningless. Strength is meaningless. What you perceive as power is only an attempt to hide your weakness. He who has no weaknesses has no need for strength either. There is no enemy, only your self.
>>
>>23598979
Yeah, fuck your shitty pacificistic ideology. shaolin monks thought like you but started practicing martial arts after local bandits raped and pillaged them a few dozen times.

Is conquering self gonna stop a big black man from raping your asshole and destroying your kundalini circuits. Stupid Buddhist fuck.
>>
>>23599074
No big black man has raped my asshole or destroyed my kundalini circuits yet, and no one else has expressed any interest in fighting me either so far in my life. When I still trained fighting techniques, I kept going around wishing otherwise, bragging and looking for challenge, a lot like you appear to do. But the inescapable truth is, we people create our own enemies. The sooner you see that, the sooner you can let go of fear and pain.
>>
No amount of youtube videos can simulate a punch coming at you. No amount of youtube videos can simulate the pain of taking a low kick followed by a flurry of punches and a high kick. No amount of youtube videos are going to help you avoid a head lock or teach you how to sprawl. You have to actually train, there is no hidden path. There aren't cheat codes. You have to actually put in work.

Thanks, I just wish someone made a thread like this when I was younger. Most tma/kung fu is bullshit, autistic lanklets watch jet li and think they can imitate that through air katas and chi breathing then get fucking womped in a real fight. No mental/physical conditioning whatsoever.

Now, I still have that sort of idealism but I'm serious about it and want to actually find away to achieve that. The secret to that is accelerating the cognitive and perceptual functions of the mind. Imagine the eye of a sewing needle, The small hole represents "oppurtunity" now imagine ANOTHER needle inside that hole, and so on grow infinitely smaller. The goal is develop the super speed to perceive and predict these moments of opportunity and acting on them instantaneously. Just like how in the movies, you see some small Chinese dude predicting attacks, but your not relying on choreography In this case but hyper perception awareness.

Walking into 7/11 and immediately having access to all sorts of sensory information in an instant. If someone pulls out a gun at the store clerk, your mind will be so fast that you'll see it slow motion so you'll have time to pull out your gun and shoot him or attack or something. But it's not just visual. You can sense it and intellectually contemplate his next moves at high speeds. Chunking masses of info in mere seconds.

>>23599334
This goes beyond drills. Everyone does drills, but that doesnt make a champion. Talent does, and what generally makes a talented champion is higher cognitive factors like IQ/working memory/Instinct but these are often overlooked and wave as fixed "Talent" but, in fact, be changed in improved upon to a mind blowing degree. Now try to grasp what I'm fucking telling you (for free) apply these methods to maximize your potential, and own life or fuck off.

Watched "the art of self defense" last night, basically a movie about jesse eisenberg getting beat up and learning karate and becoming disciplined in other aspects of his life due to the training, it was a funny movie and had a good message but I ended up hating it because it broke two of my own made up personal golden rules of filmmaking, basically to make you not sympathise with the antagonist they had to kill the main characters dog, now that's just shit writing, and also throughout the movie they had this actually strong and stoic female character who isn't sexualised or anything but in the end she has this speech basically telling the audience what the point of the movie was and explaining the movie I just watched and it made me hate her, like why do you need to explain what the movie clearly demonstrates, I think this is an american thing and it's condescending as fuck, no respect for the audience, anyway it ruined a potential cult classic, there was this major twist like 10 minutes from the end that was clear from the beginning and I'm not even mad but having that bitch insult my intelligence was what ruined it anyway hail satan

Definitely, if more top fighters actually did legit meditation for hours they'd have a severe advantage. But I advise to combine this with various other forms of mental training, one of the primary goals is to get such powerful processing speed that you can perceive movement in slow motion, without requiring adreline or being in the "zone". But just being able to enter such a state through the lightest attention of will.

A large part of that is repetition and muscle memory. The best (like messi) are ahead of the curve and exploit other's muscle memory and good habits. You see this in good fighters too.

Though the idea that fighting is 90% mental is false. If it were, the prime for fighters would be older than it currently is, more comparable to the prime age of chess players.

Mental prep would also have outcompeted other fighters by this time, but instead conditioning, training, sparring are the cornerstones of building the best fighters.

A good mindset is important for success in any field, though for prof fighters this is also half-offloaded to the coach who makes the decisions about training and diet. At most the mental part is 50%.
>>
>>23603902

OP, seeing your post makes me smile. I was a lot like you when I was younger and I dabbled in and practised nearly all of those things you mention in your post. I'd like to pass off some of my own personal discoveries to you.

I highly recommend you practice speed reading. Train your eyes to become proficient at gathering concentrated data quickly is key and while I have no sources I do have memory of reading multiple articles where an auspicious martial artist speaks of the technique of reducing focus in order to see all of your opponent, almost like seeing their spirit
tDCS; you'll need to get your hands on an iontophoresis unit and research how to properly apply it, but it is hands down the best way to deliberately increase brain plasticity before training. You'll want to start off with the Left Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex, or left DLPFC. This tech is truly phenomenal.
Supplement yourself with a probiotic, digestive enzymes (Orthobiotic is the best, you get what you pay for) and deer antler velvet. You'll need to take your velvet with omegas.
Finally, get yourself some Tiger Iron, wear it and take care of it. If I had one stone to modify my vibrations in a fight it would be Tiger Iron.
Godspeed anon.

Thanks i used to be very into speed reading and actually have read many books on the subject, but this program if practiced should give you that skill as a side effect.

>I have no sources I do have memory of reading multiple articles where an auspicious martial artist speaks of the technique of reducing focus in order to see all of your opponent, almost like seeing their spirit

That's the goal somewhat , while I believe in the spirit that's primary but be able to develop your contentiousness to the point were every physical aspect of your opponents being like body movement and mentality is read instantaneously and adapted to extensively at high speed without effort. Also, to access more of your physical strength and explosiveness you must have a powerful mind. If any ufc fighter applied this since childhood hed have become the greatest of the modern age by now

Tdcs and plasticity augmentation would definitely optimize training and recovery

I have taken deep velvet and it's worked for me in terms of testosterone boost but too expensive.

Tiger iron eh? Now that I havent heard of. I'm not really into crystals and all that shit but one for combat is way kino.
