The real problem with the media is not their ratio of lies/truth, but rather what they don't say.

Does a fake poll matter compared to not reporting on pedophile rings?

But, the same logic applies to Trump. If we have the ability to deliver 20% GDP growth and Trump is wasting his time yapping on about distractions, then we need to reach one of only a few conclusions:

(1) he is legitimately retarded

(2) he is actively working against us

(3) he wants to do good but can't because he is cucked by higher powers - he'd rather watch billions suffer needlessly than take the personal risk to speak this truth and should therefore by rejected as a pathetic individual

Is it possible to build a space elevator today?

Yes:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qezLhypA0Y

The key idea is the Orbital Ring version of the space elevator, not the geosynchronous tether concept you are familiar with.

See, for example, Paul Birch's writings:

http://www.orionsarm.com/fm_store/OrbitalRings-I.pdf

The orbital ring only requires tethers about 300 kilometers long which is technically feasible with common material like steel, but ridiculously straightforward with better and already available material like kevlar.
>>
>>111367765
There are some important questions. First, how much would it cost to do something like this?

We need to send about 160 million kilograms of material into space (See Birch's boot strap estimates in part 2: http://www.orionsarm.com/fm_store/OrbitalRings-II.pdf)

We have rockets available at $2000/kg costs to LEO today in "mass production" mode, which is only about 10-20 launches per year. Compared with the couple thousand launches necessary for a space elevator, $2000 is an unreasonably high upper bound for launch costs.

We also need to include the cost of materials. A space elevator is about 98% steel and aluminum, 1% kevlar, and 1% other such as superconducting magnets. Most of the mass (98%) cost around $1/kg, with an average cost per kilogram of no more than about $10 per kilogram.

Summing the above up, we get about $430 billion in launch costs plus another $1-2 billion in material costs.

In other words, we can have a space elevator for less than $450 billion - significantly less than one year worth of DoD spending, one bank bailout, many times less than a variety of pointless wars, etc. This is well within our reach financially in other words.

>>111366688
He is nuclear
>>
>>111367811
What do we get in return for this $450 billion investment?

Virtually unlimited value. For example, with a space elevator we can reliably launch our nuclear waste into the sun. We've spent $100 billion building a waste repository in Nevada, but it was ultimately decided not to even use it. Now it costs only a dollar or two per kilogram to get rid of all of the nuclear waste in the world.

Second, we have immediate access to viable asteroid mining industry. Because the cost of delivering payloads to LEO drops to about $1/kilogram, we can not retrieve asteroids with trillions of dollars worth of minerals for mere tens millions of dollars in addition to having an easy viable way of returning those resources back to the surface.

We acquire the ability to deploy profitable solar power in orbit above cloud cover and with the ability to return said power back to the surface with near zero loss by running power transmission cables down the elevator.

Just how profitable?

With increased luminosity in space, enhanced exposure time, and the ability to deliver base loads, solar panels pay for themselves in only 1-2 years while having a 20 year life time.

In other words, if you put $5 trillion of solar panels into space, you get your $5 trillion back by the end of year two and a $5 trillion income stream each year thereafter.

In other words, the US could cut everyone's taxes, both personal and business, income, capital, death, or otherwise, all to 0%, not even cut any benefits or current spending, and pay off the national debt within a decade.

do you throw shit fits at chess because you had more pieces on the board?
>>
>>111367915
It should already be obvious that the entirety of the political debate spectrum is cointelpro.

Are taxes too high or too low? Irrelevant, we don't actually need taxes.

Is social spending bankrupting us? Irrelevant, we can retire the national debt without cutting spending all while having no tax whatsoever.

What does this have to do with taking the red pill?

We've had the technological ability to undertake such a project for decades.

That means all the squabbling you have heard your entire life, money, debt, spending, taxes, scarcity, whatever, is all bullshit. Not only is it bullshit, anyone with rudimentary knowledge of the world has known that it is all bullshit for all of this time.

In other words, once you come to understand the such a project is and has been technically feasible for decades, you have to reevaluate many things.

Why is there nothing of this in the conspiracy media? They are not really trying to expose or solve any problems. One hundred percent of it is cointelpro. From the Young Turks to Infowars or whatever, they are all completely full of shit because solutions to our problems not only exist, are easy to carry out, but this has been the case for a very long time.

Similarly, you now know that 20%+ annual GDP growth is possible. If Trump gives you 3-4% instead of Obama's 2%, he is simply working with the establishment to try to placate and subvert a rising tide. If we see the easily achievable 20%+ growth rates, it is at least possible that he isn't a subversive. Anything less and you know he is a fraud.
>>
I love how amazingly he's completely wrapped the media around his finger and then shook them off into the trash. Nobody pays them ANY mind now no matter what they tweet, and it just infuriates them and makes them react even harder, which makes the public ignore them even more. Anyone who doubts that Trump is actually genius-level at persuasion is hopelessly deluded.

He gets away with by being apologetically audacious. The average politician says something that stirs controversy, then immediately starts backtracking when the media attacks them for it. Trump doesn't. Instead, he doubles down, refuses to apologize, then says says something even more outrageous as a follow up. The media is left sputtering and it reveals that they actually have no more power than you are willing to give them as the president. This past election cycle broke much of their power. They quietly support him because for the average person, it is still financially dangerous to do so openly. The Left still has it's claws deep in the media, academia, and corporate America. Why would anybody be glad about the media being disassembled?

The media is the very last check on the government, it's the whole reason we have free speech.

If Trump makes it so no one believes any media anymore, then not only Trump, but literally every politician will be free to do whatever they want without consequences. They would never fear negative press preventing their reelection, because no one would believe anything negative about their candidate.

Let's not even worry about politicians taking away your rights. What are you going to do when every politician begins flagrantly violating corruption laws? "No, I didn't award that contract for $50 billion to my friend, that's fake news." or worse "No, I'm not going around paying people to vote for me, that's fake news."

real talk, how can these news sites, this time nyt, claim to have "high level sources" that were present behidn closed doors in the white house and know without a shadow of a doubt that trump had no clue what he was signing for the one of like 10 executive orders he signed when it had to do with such an extremely important matter?

This is national enquirer type bullshit "news" with no basis on fact and no way to verify. They can print anything they want and just say a source told them when IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE A SOURCE THAT HIGH IN GOVERNMENT THAT ISNT FUCKING TRUMP HIMSELF.

Its ridiculous to even read it and people are taking it as fact that "sources" told them this shit. It's like me writing a "news" post saying "Trump Replaced By Spaghetti Monster Says High Level Source".

In 2006 Hillary Clinton called for a "Wall on the Mexican border" and "restrictions on Muslim immigration". Those were considered centrist views at the time. Trump is only a radical when viewed through the lens of the the current Left, which shifted far to the Left that a moderate New York Republican is seen as "Literally Hitler" by the media that shills for them.As to the polls, Every major news outlet SWORE with 90%+ certainty that Hillary Clinton would be elected president. I would point out he's been in office less than a month. He has to secure his power base and clean up the executive branch before he can do things like building space elevators. You're questioning the strategic planning of a man who took on every aspect of the of the Golbalist elite and all the power they could bring against them, and won. First things first. You crawl before you walk, walk before you run, and run before you fly. You're wanting to go straight to the flying part without any of the intervening steps.

>>111376749
Of course. If he had the money. That's like trying to say Elon Musk wouldn't be anything without the media. He's not a household name, but he can still do large projects.

Not the best comparison, mind you, but you get my point. Trump relies on his brand recognition more than Musk, but to say that he couldn't make deals internationally without the media is silly. Money is money. They'll wheel and deal regardless of the level of fame. He might not get as favorable terms, but again, it's silly to exaggerate and say he'd be worth much less than he is now.

In fact, if we go with your logic, it's possible he'd be worth more. Without whoring himself out, he may not have made certain deals like in Atlantic City and he would have stuck with the safe bets.

I should have said "traditional media." The traditional media is owned by a handful of rich men who want to see the power of individual nations disassembled. This is not for the benefit of humanity, but for their own. They banked on the trust people placed in the old news sources to try to push that agenda, and utterly wrecked their credibility in the process. No one with more than two brain cells to rub together will ever trust the traditional media again. This leaves a vacuum which alternative media has already begun to fill. There will always be some form of access to news by the public. The internet is making sure of that. Where in the past they could bury the truth because they were the only source, there is always access now, and the truth will out. If Trump actually becomes a fascist dictator, we'll know it. At this point, he isn't. He's loud, crude and bombastic, but even the Left of a decade ago wouldn't call what he's doing now radical. Here's something for you to think about. The traditional media was more than willing to cover for Hillary during the campaign and went so far as to collude with her by feeding her questions during the debates. How critical do you think they would have been of her administration?

everyone who voted for hillary is a subhuman who didn't care about politics and had no reason to vote in the first place.

The day after Trump won, a friend of mine congratulated me almost facetiously that "my" guy won. He then told me he didn't even vote.

Like shit, most people who are upset that Trump won did not even fucking vote, should not have voted, or could not vote. There was no genuine support for the democrat party outside of Bernie.

I don't even care that it's likely that many many many Hillary votes were fraudulent, when the legitimate ones were submitted by fraudulent beings pretending to be rational humans.

Trump beat out a dozen republican competitors before getting to Hillary - meanwhile she had to cheat to get an edge over a doddering fragile old jewish man, all the while fucking complaining and being a cry baby.

It isn't a matter of "trump only won cause yada rules" or that it was "50/50" - Trump just won flat out.

His implementation isn't incompetence. It's a Zerg rush, a Blitzkrieg. The Left is off balance and reeling after loosing what they thought was a slam dunk election. The protests and random sperg outs show they really had no plan to deal with a Trump presidency because they thought it wouldn't happen. He's capitalizing on that. Politics is just war without violence, and trump is on the offensive. Their lines have broken and he's pushing forward. Consider, if he had only issued one EO since taking office, the Democrats would have formed up and offered a solid, coordinated opposition to it. But trump keeps spamming executive orders, provocative tweets and generally continues to sew chaos among his opponents. If politics is a battlefield, and the Democrats are the enemy line, then the executive orders are individual attacks on multiple fronts while his Tweets are skirmishers and cavalry attacking from the flanks and from the rear. The Democrats are disorganized and in disarray and are unable to concentrate on a single point of resistance. What looks like chaos is a coordinated strategy to attack and disable the opposition. And before you dismiss this out of hand, consider that he used this strategy to curbstomp every opponent he faced, including Hillary.

if republicans had the same groupthink as democrats the opinion polls would be low but not this low. 90% of democrats hate trump and 90% of them loved obama.
Republicans vary over the polls from hating obama to being indifferent or loving trump to thinking he will just be good.
it's realism versus groupthink

The media are the worst though.
The time of journalists informing the public isn't just over, it was never there. but today people don't need the media at all to know what is happening. The media are more political agitators than anything.

Honestly I think the media are surfing on habit. They have no function after the internet. They are glorified bloggers. After the clusterfuck that has been the recent years and the constantly falling trust of the people, I don't see the mass media being a thing 25 years from now.

Hey buddy.
You do realize that almost the entirety of anything you have ever read during your lifetime has the possibility to be a straight up fabrication, or half-truth, right? You can also skew any type of data or information to "lie" about something while telling the "truth."

Do not be quick to willingly accept thoughts and ideas, it makes you prone to brainwash and manipulation. Think critically of everything before solidifying your own beliefs. Use your own judgment and logic to gain understanding.

NEWS can be fake, HISTORY can be fake, RELIGION can be fake. In other words, be skeptical.

Except about KEK.
KEK is eternal.

How's that jewish cock taste, tyrone? Better than your flint water?
Do you even know who owns the media? Do some research for fuck's sake.

The day they get shut down is the day we come closer to a more peaceful, civilized society. Fuck them for trying to incite violence every chance they get.

Happens in America as well. You have riots happening and the campus police are ordered to stand down.

It is tough all over. Literally the pussies are rioting and using violence, and the real men can only watch in dismay since if we engaged them we would be arrested and go to jail.

Implying even an appreciable percentage of the US population have souls/are human.

Like I care what some degenerate voting for Hillary wants or thinks. In a fair world, they'd all move to California, then the fucking entire thing would break off into the sea drowning them all.

If the 2016 election were movie, Hillary has all the earmarks of a Hollywood establishment villain and Trump has all the characteristics of the improbable underdog candidate. Someone in Hollywood probably recognizes this and is fully aware of the irony.

That's one point among many. And the EO is still in place and merely needs to be unblocked, by the supreme court if need be. Note also how you use the singular compared to his many actions.
Are you suggesting that having political opponent violating the regular powers of the president is a sign of incompetence? So I guess Napoleon and William Pitt were incompetent too.

That's one of the benefits of putting solar in space. Ground-based solar can never be used for base load generation because it is unreliable due to weather (cloud cover). Solar panels in space don't have this problem. You can predict exactly how much energy you'll get at any given moment just like with a coal or natgas plant.

Yeah but you have to convince like half of Americans to invest in this risky project because space travel is extremely high-risk and does not have immediately recognizable cost returns to the average American that they can feasibly think about.

The space loop is a brilliant concept I love it but even though the Department of Defense uses that much money every year it also protects the planet from astroids and it keeps countries and check.

$400 billion is not even including continued maintenance or protection from terrorism this thing will be the hottest target for Jihadis anywhere on the planet.

Again yes there's a shot ton of corruption and yes we have been lied to for decades but that doesn't mean there aren't good people in government trying to make things right.

Ummm no sweetie. Hillary won't let him get impeached.

She wants to take him down fair and square. She's going to embarrass him at the next debate like she did on all three of the debates this time. She let him win this time because she was worried about Bill's health. Now that he's feeling better, she's going to get a tv Show and release two books.

Get ready deplorables. Hilldawg's time is almost here.

This is just silly rationalization. He can neuter all his opposition in the general public with one speech but explaining how we're going to make america great again. There is a clear, obvious, and decades only mechanism here for eliminating the debt, slashing taxes to 0%, and even being able to pay for healthcare/etc. for the poor (or everyone), even have the government write you a check each year instead of the other way around. This is the stuff of overnight 99% approval ratings.

The only reason you don't do this is if you are scheming against the public, working with the old establishment.
