So why did the japs not like this anime again?
too much and not enough loli at the same time
too much and not enough family values at the same time
nips have shit taste
Not enough semen drinking.
But also, too much semen drinking?
Promised semen drinking loli, did not deliver.
It advertised loli succubus drinking semen, It instead delivered family values and big fat cow tats, also the anime original ending sucked.
I thought it was heartwarming and hilarious.
because Lotte saw her mom getting gangbanged in her bedroom when she wanted to see her mommy
>the anime original ending sucked.
That was really my only beef with it. Otherwise I liked it very much. Very heartwarming and hilarious. Also I thought they did a great job with the character designs and the setting. It was very magical looking?
Usagi Drops ending, all over again. Made worse by the fact that the mom's still around and her daughter's now the sister of her aunt.
because it has a fucked up premise
That's not accurate at all. You didn't even watch or read it.
Not enough of her.
Because 12 episodes.
too lewd for the normies
too tame for the perverts
doesn't satisfy anyone
>Naoya marries Astarotte
She's sister to her half-sister now, but it's basically correct.
Because it sucked. Better question is why do people on /a/ like it.
The early volumes of the manga were cute family-raising and minor harem elements. It looked like it was heading to a happy family ending where Rotte and Asuha reconcile with Mercelida and they have a family again.
Manga was better. The anime was too tame.
Thorhelga didn't even show up, did she?
I wasn't a fan of the ending, but in retrospect it was fairly consistent with what the manga ended up doing.
Actually, the whole thing was very faithful in terms of mood despite all the original material.
Lotte is not his daughter, adopted or otherwise.
It did alright for a loli anime.
>fanservice loli manga with semen-drinking succubi ending with MC "very unexpectedly" marrying the title character is the same as a shoujo manga about raising a daughter
It's wrong. Asuha is now the daughter to her half-sister is what's trying to be said, I think.
Sure, that would be correct, but it also would not have anything at all to do with Usagi Drop then. Saying "Usagi Drop ending all over again" is what I'm taking issue with here. It's nothing at all like Usagi Drop. Naoya doesn't marry Asuha and Lotte isn't his daughter.
More importantly, even if he did, no one would give a fuck because target audience is completely different.
The mangaka Yui Haga was so devastated she took down her pixiv and basically went to live under a rock. It might have also been responsible for ruining Rie's career, she hasn't had a lead role since.
I understand it doing bad. I just don't understand how it did THAT bad. It was a decent anime but it literally sold in the 100's. If I wasn't unemployed at the time I would've given it a pity buy.
Losing Yui Haga was the biggest lost. She was very active and put out a lot of amazing fan doujin (see precure). Her art was really cute and filled a hole for me left by Blade since he became rather inactive lately and hasn't done anything since wasshoi wasshoi.
Fuck the world.
It was a horrible adaptation that pretty much had nothing to do with the manga except the characters looking the same.
Go find her Pixiv. It's empty. What do you need a citation for? The sales? Fuck if I know those were stalker prediction numbers.
As for sales just google a little.
Well, it was her chance to make it big. And the anime studio completely fucked it up. It wasn't her fault at all and manga kept selling good after the anime.
Except she kinda already made it big Baka Test, if nothing else
Then it all got flushed down the drain.
Come back yui I love you.
>deleted her pixiv and disappeared because of the anime's failure
That's just fanfiction. There's thousands of valid reasons to delete an online account. She never stopped tweeting or corresponding with some of the anime staff, for that matter.
>Rie not getting any main roles since
Same as above, could as easily be a case of old and busted. Also, Kyousougiga, Hayate and others would like a word with you.
>sold in the 100's
Missed a zero in there.
Unlike most other authors, she was very involved in the anime's production, visited the studio, etc. and might have felt guilty for any changes she might have been responsible for, but that's hardly a reason to commit online sudoku.
>That's just fanfiction. There's thousands of valid reasons to delete an online account. She never stopped tweeting or corresponding with some of the anime staff, for that matter.
It's pretty obvious she deleted it out of some kind of shame. She never responded to people asking her what was going on.
>Same as above, could as easily be a case of old and busted. Also, Kyousougiga, Hayate and others would like a word with you.
Rie was already locked into those roles. "Get" implies you know getting a role, not finishing one off. There is also nothing old and busted about Rie. She's a VA and she still sounds find.
>Missed a zero in there.
Looked it up and the final sales seems to be around 1000. That's terrible.
Sure, but that's still all speculation with no facts at all. And I'm not a VAfag, but I seriously doubt one flop is enough to kill a career, especially when every single season has plenty of shows with even worse sales.
But whatever, it doesn't matter now that the whole series is over anyway.
>There is also nothing old and busted about Rie
Nah, she is an instant-drop for me.
