Why is super sentai strictly to live action? More often than not, whenever super sentai is in anime, it's done as a parody.
Why aren't there any (good) straight up sentai series? Kids would eat that shit up just as much as they do the live action ones.
I wonder the same thing.
It does everything Toei wants it to as a live action series, why would they risk changing it to a shitty anime?
Because Toei has a copyright to the entire genre, right? And they somehow can't do both live action and anime simultaneously?
He said that it works best as live action rather than animated, probably because it would be QUALITY galore to animate what super sentai does.
Super Sentai isn't a genre.
You don't say?
>it would be QUALITY galore to animate what super sentai does.
You mean the genre isn't Super Sentai.
Because Super Sentai's genre is tokusatsu.
Because they could do it better in most cases. Like actually making monsters that look like monster instead of dudes in goofy suits. Though that is a big part of sentai's charm.
It would look shittier than any live action 90% of the time.
No way. The budget needed would be gigantic for shows with good Monster designs. Designs like Go-Busters's villains would probably be CG in an anime.
What makes you say that? Comedy series aside, stuff like Guyver does pretty good sentai-style monsters.
Guyver isn't airing a new episode nearly every week of every year.
>someone on /a/ watched Shinesman
Isn't Madoka just Kamen Rider with frills?
Super Sentai is a specific series.
There are plenty of serious sentai anime, including the archetypical Gatchaman.
Why does /m/ like power rangers so much?
>QUALITY galore to animate what super sentai does.
You mean that shitty CGI that they use nowadays? Top kek.
