what's the worst episode from your favorite anime?
Aw, i loved SftD. I can't stand episodes three and four. They're faye episodes, and i can't stand her early on.
Jet episodes are worse
>this one's for us old guys
Eh, Jet episodes aren't for everybody. I can watch Ganemede Elegy over and over again, it strikes to home fairly well.
Black Dog Serenade, a bit less so. And Boogie Woogie Feng Shui not at all. And that's a shame, cause there's this one really good visual gag; they're basically being chased by the Blues Brothers in the beginning, i mean look at those guys. But the poor episode just feels like complete filler, and adds almost nothing to Jet's characterization.
I think it's called " Night Cruise" from GITS 2nd GIG. Just some delusional guy's butthurt monologue about his prosthetic junk. I always skip that one because it's so boring.
You aren't talking about the taxi driver one right?
Gintama is my favorite anime. The first and second episode has to be one of the worst episodes of an anime I've ever seen in my life.
I almost didn't watch Gintama because of those episodes, had to try like 4 times before I got past that two parter.
No the guy is a helicopter pilot.
The 3 OVA episodes from Baccano were pretty awful
Wow that whole episode is a reference to the Movie Taxi Driver
Yeah that's the one I'm talking about. It reminds me of the movie Taxi driver. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a reference a lot of stuff is the same.
Toys in the Attic
Every time I stay up to watch Bebop I catch that episode
Episode 1 of FMA:B
Absolute clusterfuck of stupid fanservice character appearances and unfunny humor.
Only good thing about it was the animation quality.
Oops didn't realize you were talking about the movie (I haven't seen it).
>Human Behavior, Eureka Seven
It's right smack in the middle of the slow first half and doesn't really do anything for the plot except at the very end
The 11th episode of ef: A Tale of Memories
Because for Horo's sake, Renji and Chihiro's secks scene is just totally ruined by those perfectly folded clothes. It would be ideal series without that. And now it just can't forget that shot instead of the drama.
Although which episode's the worst is EXTREMELY debatable, Magma Diver was my least favorite Eva episode. It was strangely silly compared to the earlier episodes, and even the other "introducing Asuka" episodes that came before it. Those episodes at least had some good action sequences to justify their lighter tone. That hot springs ending felt like they were just looking for a joke at the end, too.
The first season of Gintama in general was horrid
The final OVA of SZS
It's just not a good episode to end the series on and commie completely butchered the second half.
I couldn't stand it either, until i watched Black Dynamite. Then, i appreciated it for its blaxploitation send up.
The ninamori episode
I don't know, what about the "We're all Zero" episode?
Magma Diver, I came here to say this. It's not terrible, and I can enjoy it, but it's not good enough for NGE standards.
And fuck off, OP, there's no way Sympathy for the Devil is worse than the one with the fucking fridge monster
It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst.
No man, it's pretty clearly Magma Diver.
Is that the one that ends with Anemone showing up for the first time at the very end, where everyone's just sitting around?
I see some love for Magma Driver every now and then, but it's hard to tell if it's just irony here or if it's genuine. A lot of people dislike the last two episodes the most, although I enjoy them for what they're worth.
Who the fuck dislikes the last two? They're some of the best in the entire series.
I actually liked Magmadiver, the tone had to get lighter for 15 onward to have more impact. Speaking of 15, Women who Long etc. is easily the most underrated episode of the series, it had excellent drama and character development without needing to resort to any of the trippy psychological stuff
But Ninamori is best girl by a fucking mile.
Best is kind of reaching. For a saving throw they managed to fit the show pretty well and congratulations is iconic, but I'd never call them best anything.
>mfw I was teenager I liked Haruka, as an adult I like Ninamori
>for a saving throw they managed to fit the show pretty well
While I think that EoE is a better interpretation of the ending, 25 and 26 are fantastic.
Human Torch was always the best girl.
>mfw I liked Ninamori best as a teen and still have feelings for an adult
>I don't actually like being attracted to underage girls
Falling in love with those that don't age with you is suffering.
We've had really long threads about what is the worst CB episode, and the overwhelming consensus is that Heavy Metal Queen and Boogie Woogie Feng Shui vie for worst episode. I actually liked Sympathy for the Devil; debatable writing but excellent presentation.
>tfw you realize Haruka was a cunt who only wanted Naota to manipulate him to get what she wants
>Minami was a bad case of borderline personality disorder and wanted Naota around as another outlet of escapism
>Ninamori was the only girl who liked Naota for Naota
fuck you kaiji you stupid shit
That episode got me into the "Blues Harp".
Zombies and meteors... Fuck off.
I forget, was Mamimi molesting Naota? I remember something about her leaving marks on his neck
My nigger of great tastes, I came here to say Magma Diver aswell.
Didn't [anon] Sub it?
Also, the final OVA is actually how the manga ends, on some related note.
Chiri won first, so it was an okay ending.
Yes she was.
And toying with his tender shonen heart
Gintama is ending
That episode was black comedy for me. The worst GitS episode was the 22 minute long chatroom conversation.
Hating one of the smartest episodes going back it actually spoils a lot of the 1st GIG
Outlaw Star: Advance Guard From Another World
The first half of a filler arc between the first major fight against the McDougal Brothers and the first appearance by The Anten Seven.
You have to TRY to be this level of miserable.
I haven't seen it aired on Toonami. What exactly was up with that episode? Was the next episode back on track as if that never happened?
It's Haruko, you know.
The second episode was the worst for me, maybe the first. One's too melancholy and the other's too over the top for me. Not that they're bad, it's just that they're not as good as the rest.
At least we can all agree that the last 3 episodes were incredible.
Aria and Texhnolyze have no worst episodes. They're both perfect in every way. Literally flawless.
Watanabe has a huge boner for zombies.
More people should be fluent in Zombieese...especially this time of year.
Japan loves soccer and E7 was made for the Japanese. They did the same thing with Digimon.
Get the fuck out. Soccer ep is best ep.
>The first and second episode has to be one of the worst episodes of an anime I've ever seen in my life.
You have no idea how bad those episodes are.
The last time I watched them Fukushima happened. I'm not even kidding.
It just discussed the Laughing Man's background and possible suspects/motives, it's not that smart.
I thought the one where Jet goes on a mini-adventure with some Chinese girl was pretty bland, something about looking for her father who smelled of sunflowers
it was a zombie tribute, but fans just like to imagine they were high as fuck off of the shrooms they ate in the beginning of the ep.
I'd say that somewhere in the first 10 episodes lies the worst one. That arc was mediocre compared to the rest.
>I had such high hopes for this series but it just keeps getting worse and worse with each episode.
no thank you
The couch episode of PSG.
If you want to see that kind of thing done right, watch David Lynch's "Rabbits"
I liked magma diver. But then, the angel-of-the-week arc was my favorite and I KNOW I'm in the minority there.
Don't think so, it's the one where him and Eureka, Matthieu too, go to some town and he meets his uncle who hates the military.
I actually liked it, when Renton stood up to his Uncle about being part of the Ghekko State.
"I am who I am"
pls die oldfag
Tsubasa Cat, Part 1
It doesn't help that a lot of the episode was retconned.
Oh I really love that episode. Matthieu doesn't get nearly enough screen time.
tripping, was a good episode. Was exactly what the crew needed
I'm tripping he loves the military, hate the Gekkostate
Yeah, mine too. Matthieu was a G
Episode 2's info-dump session at Mami's apartment.
