>Make an anime based on a videogame that's just you playing as some spooky undead gunman carrying a coffin with a rocket launcher in it shooting mutant gangsters left and right with each stage opening with the game encouraging you to "Kick their ass!" at the start of each level as well as the opption of finnishing off bosses in elaborate cutscenes
>Make a drama-based crime anime that opens with a slow-as-shit opening with just about no action whatsoever until the second half where the guy finally rips ass, with him not even fighting the big creepy mutant head but instead crying with his evil friend and killing each other
Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?
>Turn a shit video game into a great story of self-sacrifice, tragedy, betrayal and friendship redemption.
Best idea ever.
>a slow-as-shit opening
thought the start was some of the best of the anime
Gungrave anime is was awesome ended up buying the game at 7-11 and was so disappointed
the game was shit
the anime was actually decent
your forgetting the first episode was a spooky undead gunman ep whle epsode 2-whenever brandon got headshot was the best mafia anime ever
The first half was better than the second half imo
although the last episode or two really hit me in the feels
>implying making an actual story is worse than making it directly gungrave: the animated videogame
>game was shit
Could have been worse, they could have animated the sequel where he gets brought back to life AGAIN because that fucking girl didn't want to lose him and needed people shot.
It turned shit videogame into something decent
