Been gone for a while and missed the discussions on /a/ about the most recent chapter. What did you guys think of it? I'm worried about Miura going on another hiatus since there was no set date mentioned for the next chapter. I am certain though, when the next chapter is released in 2 years, we will DEFINITELY be going back to the boat. I just want to see Guts and his friends again ;-;
>dat Rickert slapping Griffith
most satisfying chapter in a while. glad miura got back on his game. GG miurachan.
>we will DEFINITELY be going back to the boat
Oh please not again.
I hope that the journey will finally end in the next chapter.
I think it's about time that Miura focuses back onto Guts.
I fucking HATE shit where it doesn't focus on the main character. I always end up reading it halfheartedly whilst eagerly hoping that it will go back to the MC sooner rather than later. I don't even take in much of what's happening because of this.
I would even rather chapters of the boat and bed ridden Guts doing nothing but thinking and brooding than see griffiths castle in all its majesty while he gets Reckert.
>leaving out the bonfire of dreams chapter
More like leaving out everything.
Do you guys think Miura has any intention of revisiting Giganto Makhia during another hiatus or after Berserk is over, the story didn't exactly get wrapped up
That would be cool but I don't thnk that he will continue the story.
Great chapter, just hope miura comes back soon...
I'm glad Rickert slapped Griffith, but at the same time I feel so bad for him. He's finally come to terms with the fact that his leader (and the dream) is well and truly gone.
I think Gigantomakhia is interesting, but I don't want Miura to be distracted by it.
Should I read chapter 83? I thought it was considered non canon now, but everyone loves to bring up the Idea of Evil shit all the time
You may as well. I think IoE will be reintroduced at a later date, but will be presented rather differently to the one in chapter 83. It's only really a matter of how it'll return to the plot, seeing as the Ideal World can only be reached by those who have no tangible ego, ie. self-awareness.
Is Casca self-aware in her current state?
It seemed like too important a plot point to not bring up again at some point. I was always under the impression that it had been removed because Miura felt it gave off too much information or something, but maybe I just misread.
>I was always under the impression that it had been removed because Miura felt it gave off too much information or something
Yes, that's the excuse he used to remove it.
Yeah, he felt that he limited the scope of the Berserk world too early. After all, this was still the Golden Age.
I think the term "excuse" is too accusatory. It's good reasoning for it.
