Does anyone even care about SAO anymore?
I care about Shinon's ass.
I never cared.
Why? Something worthwhile happen?
Why would anybody care about it when it's shit?
It's better this way.
depends if sinon continues to show up every week or not
GGO is over now right?
Is this Calibur thing fantasy based?
SAO is complete shit until the Alicization arc.
>SAO is complete shit until the GGO arc
>SAOfags two years ago
you won't fool me again
GGO was utter garbage
No i dropped it on episode 3 , there's too many show to watch this season and so little time.
The only people saying that were Sinon fags.
"GGO is good because dat ass XD"
Yes, I still care about Shin Angyo Onshi
Funny enough, the vita game is actually pretty good.
did anyone cared about SAO from the start?
I just watched 1-14. Enjoyed it immensely. Shinon is best girl. I feel bad for Asuna, not being as good and all.
The gun mmo was beautiful, that should be the new main game they all hand out in .
She's a catgirl now
Well at that time Alicization hadn't been translated yet.
Also the source material of GGO improved a lot compared to the first two arcs, the anime just fucked up the pacing and exposition. But you faggots won't believe me anyway
The only thing I ever wanted from the anime was Caliber.
And now that it is finally coming I do care.
That's a big assumption
I care about Aoi Yuuki in Mother Rosario.
It was just like all the previous season of SAO.
Aint nobody has time for that
Fate/stay night is already here
I love that girl.
I liked GGO's setting a lot more than SAO and ALO. But of course it didn't mean much in the end because Kirito's usual bullshit overshadowed everything else of value.
if anything has anything to do with the way women are treated it's automatically garbo tier
>recap episode after flashback arc made of 50% flashbacks
Why was this allowed?
>recap episode made of recaps
You dont say.
Fuck Fate, I'm sick of seeing 5 Fate threads on the front page. And its fanbase is so atrocious they probably won't stop rioting even after the anime ends.
Just wait until the movie comes.
How does one get excited over an anime thats once again a retelling of one game? Its like the 6th remake.
People said the exact same thing about GGO a couple years back. Going on about how Sinon was the best girl and nothing like the other girls.
I hope not. SAO is the CoD the Anime.
>caring about the fanbase
>caring about what's popular
>not realising that there are huge plotholes in just about every anime
Everybody knows Mother Rosario is the best arc, Anon.
Cen I hav sum pussi pls
I'm already this far in, might as well keep going.
It's entertaining in its own right as a study on wasted potential.
GGO was so retarded with girl kirito and deso gun that it made it entertaining, I hope AIDS-chan can keep this going
Shut the fuck up
That some yuri I'm seeing?
I've honestly liked this arc a lot, but it's rather slow-moving. Sinon is a joy to watch, but Leafa is still the hottest girl.
It's such a shame that he already picked Asuna all that way back, because every one of the later girls is better.
At least there is no impossible microwave death in SAO II.
Girl kirito was the only good thing about GGO, go be a pleb somewhere else, anon pls
But its a fact that Asuna is better than everyone but Sinon.
>complaining about the impossible reality of situations in a fucking cartoon
>more garbage-tier wish-fulfillment wank
You may be right, but the problem is that she's kind of bland. Don't get me wrong, she is the best (logical) choice. Rich, attractive, understanding, mature, gone through a shared experience and all that...The smart and attractive people would logically hook up with each other.
But the way he meets all the other girls is such a perfect set-up to a whirlwind romance, it feels thematically odd that there isn't one. I mean, when Kirito punched out what's-his-name, Sinon's would-be rapist/murderer? For a girl, that's nuclear.
I'm surprised that she didn't claw her panties down and start riding him over the other guy's unconscious body. Or kiss him right there, because holy shit, it's hard to overstate how wet a girl would be in that moment.
How is MR wish-fulfillment?
Kirito is not the focus/lead character in that arc.
I could be wrong but didnt he get his ass handed to him? She knocked him out with the radio. I think that probably put a damper on her estrogen.
>not realizing that there are huge potholes in just about every anime
>trying this hard to justify your shit taste
There's nothing wrong with enjoying a bad show, but trying to justify it by saying "other shows have flaws too!" just wreaks of trying to preemptively cover up the fact that the show is garbage.
No one's gonna care if you say "I enjoy watching/reading SAO."
SWORD ART online was snit when only one fag can hold a second sword or a shield
Is he still in it?
If yes then it's the same shit.
At this point I only watch for Sinon
True, but the guy she met over the Internet and had a deep emotional moment with is RIGHT HERE. And holy shit, he's hot! And he's fighting for her and not being a creepy fucking stalker at all!
This guy's a keeper, is what I'm saying. And he rides a motorcycle and everything! I would sink my claws into him and never let him go, if I thought there was a chance he was single.
Why would you stick with something that's "complete shit" until you're that far into it?
GGO was pretty good
>hey everyone, i'm the strongest and most awesome
>Kirito is not the focus/lead character
>hey everyone, my boyfriend's the strongest and most awesome
Asuna lost a lot of her appeal once the relationship began. It was cute, no doubt, but then she became a side-piece to the kirito story, AFO happened, and now barely does anything.
Returning to normalcy is good and everything, but it doesn't make it any less dull to see "lightning flash asuna" do anything but sit around and watch things unfold before her.
wait, didn't it already end?
My life is a lie
Jesus anon, if you like him that much you should make him your husbando
I was hoping she would immediately switch over to GGO and save her trap boyfriend from the clutches of doom, Sinon.
>you will never have a gary stu with a motorcycle waiting for you outside of school/work
Kirito is best husbando.
Aoi Yuuki a shit.
The books are generally better than the show, yes, but Kawahara writes like a horny 14 year old who hasn't played an MMO in his life.
make it a reverse-trap asuna getting into male-oriented hi-jinks to save her trap boyfriend and we're sold
I recently marathoned S2. It was pretty enjoyable, dunno what the shitposting is about. Probably one of the better anime of last season, a solid 7.5 or 8/10.
>tfw I never trust shitposting anyways
Can you imagine that? Literally riding off into the sunset with your boyfriend, in front of the jealous eyes of your bitchy classmates?
"He's MINE, bitches!" doesn't even come close.
>"Hey guys! I can beat the strongest and most awesome character!"
>dies of AIDS
I find that on 4chan, the general idea is that the more a show is trolled, the better it is. A genuinely bad show simply never gets talked about.
And I agree. I just marathoned it as well, S2 was better than season 1. The only thing that bothered me was the amount of dialog in certain spots.
He played PSO, RO and UO, though.
Most people fail to realize that SAO is an ARPG at his core much like PSO, hence all the focus on reaction times, canceling, and so on, and get angry and confused at the fact it doesn't work like WoW.
That's true. You have a point. Nobody shitposted something like Momo Kyun Sword or Blade and Soul because their badness was a given.
Gotta make sure all the BDs have the same amount of episodes, yo.
>The recap episode is actually going to be in the BDs
It's sort of like Aldonah/Zero. I never understood the immense amount of shitposting for it, because it felt like a very solid show to me. Even now, I'm still not certain why there was so much hatred.
Because Slaine is a complete retard and anyone who wants to fuck him in the ass gets pretty mad when you mention it.
I have a feeling once we get into MR,and hopefully according to the director since they're really working hard on that arc, SAO will show a new level of depth it hasn't before which will hopefully put it into a good light. I've read all the LNs and it honestly just keeps getting better and better for what it was at the beginning.
I honestly liked that he fucks up everything wherever he goes. There's a very NTR-ish vibe to Aldonah Zero, but I enjoyed how he just starts lashing out at everyone in the end. I want to see him utterly consumed by spite and hatred in S2.
And I hope that Inaho and Princess remain dead. Especially Princess: I think she's a particularly good, non-annoying one, but if she's dead there's no hope of a peaceful resolution. I want to see those fuckers tear each other to bits.
I'm the guy you replied to and I have literally dropped it because of the plot.
Just like Valvrave
I almost dropped it because of the plot but I think ill watch the rest just to see what absolutely retarded thing Slaine does next.
All series that actually evoke emotions instead of being safe, generic fluff ignite a shitstorm on /a/.
Sinon butt is best butt.
I want to get closer to Sinon and make her depend on me. I want her to slowly but surely lower her inhibitions, and eventually begin to trust me as a friend.
Then she will fall in love with me, but she wont be able to admit it at first. However, as her feelings grow stronger, the urge to stay quiet will weaken, and eventually one day she will blurt out that she loves me and can't stand it anymore. I will reciprocate her feelings, which will be unbelievable to her.
We begin dating, are madly in love, and Sinon has never been happier. We make passionate, hand holding love every night, and life couldn't be more perfect for the both of us. Then one day I will simply disappear forever. At first Sinon will believe I've been abducted, but when my name doesn't turn up on any records, she will come to believe that her fleeting love was nothing more than a delusion. This should completely devastate her emotionally, and she becomes a hollow shell of her former self, and eventually gives in to despair and insanity.
Years later at a rehabilitation center, Sinon is making steady recovery progress and getting her life back on track, when one day she receives a notice that she has a visitor by the name of Anon. She can't believe her ears so she quickly gets dressed and reports to the lobby. When she finally gets there though, she is informed that her visitor has left, and instead simply left a card. Sinon cautiously turns over the card, and reads:
I know the series is shit, but I still can't stop watching it.
It's been like this since the second part of season one.
The characters are generic as fuck and especially the antagonists are lousy. Seriously, I can't comprehend their stupid reasoning.
On the other hand the setting is alright. The story shows some interesting ideas, but they are poorly executed.
Maybe it's the above-average animation that keeps me watching,
or maybe it's just Sinon's booty >>115273712
I don't know if I like that best girl doesn't win or not
>depends if sinon continues to show up every week or not
She's joined the other past characters in the pasture aka ALO hangout. NO ONE'S RELEVANT ANYMORE THERE.
I wish she even remotely resembled the way she looks in that fan art.
Fuck yeah bro, look at dem thighs.
Everytime. Never again LN readers.
Is Kirito still a trap?
I think it was decent until the ending of an arc. It always ends with an asspull. Like that shit on his chest last episode.
Canonically, Kirito's always been a trap. GGO just made him even more girly, and gave him long hair.
log horizon good?
Who is that girl with Asuna? I heard she has good skills being terminal
But she'd be lying and caught out when one day he's there with Asuna. And it would be so good.
when does this qt show up
oh look it's Saber
A-1 Pictures can't draw asses.
I'm waiting for MR arc for best girl Yuuki.
SAO has Kirito has MC, making it consistently shit.
its shit so no
not since the first few episodes
GGO was decent, though. Addressed most of the problems with S1 (there were a few SAO-isms here and there, like the rape scene and I H-HATE YOU KIRITO!! but besides that it was fine)
What I do want to know is if the future arcs are as good as GGO; do they actually address themes like GGO's validity of a digital self? Are there characters as complex as Sinon?
Did the "recap" episode add anything new?
I thought it was pretty decent.
The first arc of SAO is really good. The Alfheim arc was really weak. The GGO arc was pretty good.
The show has interesting topics-- it just doesn't have as much to say about them as it should and what is said isn't often that deep.
I also like that it isn't really a harem. A harem is when there is some ambiguity as to what relationships exist. He's pretty straightforward about the Asuna thing-- except for an interesting deflection of the question when he's in the cave with Sinon.
But I don't think it qualifies as a harem when the MC has chosen a girl and the other girls are just around anyways. That's sort of more realistic. There's a lot of girls that have male friends that they are just waiting for them to be single.
It was 20 minutes of Sawashiro telling us everything that happened.
can anyone tell me about log horizon?
Just living in the database, whoa oh.
That depends on what you find "good".
Each arc has its own feel and genre about it, tho for the most part, the moral of SAO is about ones identity in a virtual world.
The next major arc ("Alicization", which should be Season 3) will be pretty different from the previous arcs. Some say that it may as well have been a different story all together, considering you could take out the "VR" aspect, and it could have still been a pretty similar story.
But at the same time, Alicization is a necessary final step in terms of the ideas regarding "VR" as a whole.
The only real problem with the arc would probably be that for a large chunk of the first parts of the arc, the story will pretty much be something like a Slice-of-life, and pretty slow moving. That's mostly because the arc focuses a lot more on the characters, than previous arcs did.
>Each arc has its own feel and genre about it, tho for the most part, the moral of SAO is about ones identity in a virtual world.
Season 1 did a poor job of articulating that. It wasn't until GGO that actual themes were addressed / developed.
I'm kinda skeptic about a character-focused arc - S2 is at its best in the actiony moments.
>Season 1 did a poor job of articulating that
That's because the first arc was a collage of multiple side-stories with varying ideas behind them. There were points, even in the anime, where they tried to articulate the ideas behind ones identity, and the closeness between real and virtual. Asuna scolded Kirito because of his doubts, and later Kirito even gave Leafa a long speech about it.
It just didn't do a very good job of articulating this point all through-out.
>S2 is at its best in the actiony moments
Well, S3 will start out slow, but the action scenes will pretty much blow S2's out of the water. Probably.
SAO without action and good animation. Also has a lot of politicshit in it.
Nope. I dropped it after Aincrad.
