Is this really all he can do?
How can be become a superhero?
That ideal of his is impossible.
Fucking secondaries man
Is he related to lancelot?

doesn't the guy forge like a thousand swords?
He's Lancelot from the future
How was he summoned to the current time if his legend is from the future and no one knows about him yet?
how can he hold that many swords?
He doesn't need to be known to be summoned.
He carries them on trays, son
He can make near-perfect fake copies of the weapons he comes across.
He doesn't, his hands will never know anything
The prophet warned us but we didn't listen.
It's too late now.
Shirou is a sick twisted individual who looks forward to a death game that potentially threatens the lives of tens of thousand of lives, just because he get to play the hero. He does not deserve happiness and should have suffered forever. EMIYA end is too kind for sick fucks like him.
His summoning is just as fucked as Saber's, he made a deal to become a heroic spirit. Once your copy is sent to the hero place, a time line is meaningless.
His body is made out of swords
His blood is of iron and his heart of glass
He survived through countless battles
Not even once retreating
Not even once being victorious
The bearer lies here alone
Forging iron in a hill of swords
Thus, my life needs no meaning
This body is made out of infinite swords
why does /a/ like EMIYA so much?
Just wait for some bullshit twist that he is made of swords.
He's a perfect waifu.
He's an awesome guy.
This thread is kill
/a/ is gar for him
Because it's a story of becoming. Of *being* a hero, more than that it's the story about a hero in an age where after him there will never be another hero. And It's not quite the usual shounen stuff because EMIYA is a deeply flawed and terribly fucked up person *and he's aware of it*.
It's like why so many people like the protomen albums.
He tries to kill Shirou
>yfw due to alternate timelines there could be a universe where Shirou actually becomes a successful hero somehow
>EMIYA Archer lands himself in that timeline by coincidence after being summoned a gajillion times
>Successful superhero Shirou looks Archer dead in the eyes, says "git gud" and flies off with a saved Ilya, redeemed Saber, dere Rin, and unraped Sakura as his magical jackhammer spreads love and peace throughout the world and eliminates all suffering forever
>Medea gets to love again
>Cu and Bazette get married, and play golf on their honeymoon with Robin Williams who is still alive
>Gil is reunited with his barbed lion penis buttbuddy and gets all the douchebaggery fucked out of him
>Kotomine jacks off to his maggot-corpse wife in a corner while his daughter slathers his prostate with mapo tofu mix, the ultimate dream of every pagan, dark-god worshipping priest
why sakura likes shirou but not kariya?
Kariya is a corpse.
Daily reminder that ufo is giving us mana goggles.
Kariya just wanted to fuck her and Rin.
>yfw sex scenes are obscure CGI analogies again
How come we never get other heroes from the future?
Because not many people are desperate enough to make a contract with Alaya.
It's easier to get catalysts for heroes of the past duh.
Because Shirou literally saves everyone.
>Sex scenes switch to Archer on his couch narrating what happens in incredible detail from a giant storybook he has open in his hands
>He's wearing a bath robe, thick rimmed glasses, and holding a pipe in his mouth
>Ends with "... and that's how the younger me totally fucked Rin Tohsaka's anus. But I wouldn't remember, I have amnesia, ha ha ha!"
So instead of "Can Shiki kill servants", "Serious Gil" and other powerlevel or worm related issues, Fate threads will now get plastered with stupid question that could easily be answered with a quick look at the VN.
Because the chances to get catalysts for future heroes are near 0.
You don't have to read very far to get the subtext of a CGI dragon.
A man can dream of this right?
This is heaven
Hard to get catalysts from the future. The pendant that Rin had which she used to save Shirou's life was the catalyst to summon Archer. If you didn't notice Shirou took the used pendant home with him, yet Archer gave Rin one as well.
So there are actually two of them existing at the moment.
So which one of you is the faggot who went through the entire wiki and changed every instance of "Aurturia" with "Altila". Is there any reason for this other than some anon's autistic translation fetish?
But you can summon heroes without using a catalyst, and doing so is supposed to summon one with a similar nature to your own. Wouldn't a modern human be more likely to summon someone from the near future rather than the past if they didn't use a catalyst?
Don't worry, it'll all die down in about a year or two.
Then come the HF movies.
Archer is a Lancelotfag in UC.
God, I hope they just fade to black, if we get sperm dolphins and dragons i'm going to be a little upset
Good, the old TM threads were horrible circlejerks.
How did Shiro not die from getting his chest skewered by Lancer?
If you don't have a catalyst it will summon a random servant that matches close to your personality, but Rin had a catalyst; her pendant.
I assume most masters use catalysts when summoning heroes.
It's been a fucking decade since the VN game out.
10 years man.
GAR for Archer was a thing before 4chan even had themes.
Everyone knows F/SN by now. People asking obvious questions are just baiting.
Read the VN and find out for yourself.
I know that, and I'm not trying to say that she should have summoned anybody else, I'm just speaking in general for the ones summoning without a catalyst.
His body is made of swords...yeah.
I really can't tell if people are seriously asking these questions or just baiting.
1) Catalysts are intricately tied to heroes. It's near impossible to get a specific hero without a catalyst. And it's only when you have very specific sets of timey-wimey shenanigans that you can end up with a future hero.
2) There are no heroes that come after EMIYA. Because the mana on earth is a finite thing, if there were less people heroes could be a thing, but when you try to take say 10000 mana and divide it up among 10 billion people there's a whole lot of people who don't end up with anything. When there was 10000 mana and only 500 million people heroes were a lot more common
Because Shirou is a Hero, Kariya couldn't even get her out of a pit, fucking usless shit
Any master who isn't retarded will use a catalyst as there is a very high chance of failure without one, and the chances of you getting an absolutely shit servant are very high.
Tohsaka Rin used half of the jewels she owned on her summoning ritual (that she thought she was doing) and outright made the statement of "I cannot fail this, as it would come very close to putting me in financial ruin"
There's a lot of potential reasons for why, but the big one is that a lot of the masters that summoned in the previous wars had catalysts because they were angling for a specific servant or hero.
One thing to consider about this is in the first few Grail wars anti-heroes, villains and counter guardians weren't even on the list. That gets fucked up because some people couldn't handle not winning. That happened in the war before Zero if I remember correctly, so there's only been two with these new, fucked up circumstances in place.
Then you also have to consider the rarity of heroes in the future. For all we know Archer might literally be the only counter guardian that starts to exist past the era of heroes.
A) she was a young child when the worm raping by his family started. By the time of Stay Night she's likely completely forgotten about the kind uncle who would play with her and give her sweets
B) Kariya is indirectly responsible for aforementioned worm rape by renouncing the Matou magecraft and all her suffering stems from becoming their successor in his stead.
C) Kariya didn't succeed in saving her, and if anything all that could have done was crushed her spirits even more until she met Shirou.
In Kariya's defense, it was a pit filled to the brim with slavering penis worms that ate him alive.
Remember though that heroes are people who are bound in myth and legend. There's very few near future heroes for the same reason there's very few near past heroes - modern technology and science makes it hard for people to believe others are superhuman (this is WoG from nasu) and thus no new heroes.
Archer was already in the Throne thanks to making a pact as a Counter Guardian, and then Rin happened to have the catalyst with the strongest possible connection.
Making a summon requires quite a few resources, and time travel/manipulation generally requires True Magic, so few magi are going to be willing to bank that many resources on the possibility of some random faggot from the future
Maybe he should've thought twice before abandoning his position as a magus and not bothering to learn any magic.
Shinji would've killed to have just the little bit of magic potential left in Kariya before the whole family got neutered.
Couldn't He just grab Sakura anytime and run the fuck away?
he has mc status
glow sticks will be all he'll need to preach
What would daddy Emiya think of Shirou and Archer?
Which version of his son would he prefer?
I think he debates it internally in the novel, IIRC, but Zouken had already implanted the crest worms in her by the time he resolved to save her, not to mention Zouken is an evil rape wizard and would likely track him down
>Couldn't he just grab main Zouken worm anytime and run the fuck away?
No because worms are already inside both him and Sakura, which Zouken can use to remotely kill him
He'd probably call Shirou a hopeless idiot for his ideals, similar to the way Archer does.
He doesn't die even when he's killed. You'll see next episode.
Which Shirou? My guess would be HF, as he didn't want shirou to become a magus in the first place, nor did he want him to become a hero. Giving it all up for the sake of a girl seems like the kind of thing he would appreciate.
In F/SN Zouken has the ability to kill/control Sakura instantly because of his imbedded crest rape worm of death.
probably exists in F/Z too, although I don't remember it being mentioned.
I don't think he has the right to say anything about any Shirou other than MoS
To me Kariya seemed more obsessed with living a happy family life than actually saving Sakura.
He's so busy trying to be angry at Tokiomi that he fails to properly explain what Sakura's going through.
I see your schwartz is as big as mine.
>talking shit about Zouken
Fuck Sakura, save Zouken.
I was wondering about that.
Archerou said he lost his memories, but how would he know to give the pendant to Rin unless he did remember?
He has way to few wrinkles in Zero
And plus, even if you do summon a future hero, you've got absolutely no way of knowing if they're remotely strong or not.
No, Kiritsugu would like Mind of Steel Shirou the most, probably. Kiritsugu would hate Shirou if he was willing to sacrifice everyone in the world for one girl. Kiritsugu was the opposite; he'd kill his entire family if it meant saving everyone else.
Which Shirou? Most of them are a rejection of Kerry's ideals and Archer just plain gives up on having an ideal.
Sakura had a Crest Worm in her, Zouken could cause her immense pain on demand.
As shown in his death scene, even though he knew that Shirou would follow up on his path of suffering, and even though he tried his best to teach him defective magic techniques to keep him away, Kiritsugu was saved (internally) by the fact that he had a successor, by the fact that there was someone else who believed that his ideals are worth pursuing. He was glad that at least one person believed in him.
Of course, if he was in full strength he'd probably try to make Shirou avoid everything magic related, but he was just a dying lonely "old" man who dedicated his life to others. Being proud of Shirou following in his steps was his first act of selfishness and probably the last.
>Archer just plain gives up on having an ideal.
He does remember. He's lying. Keep watching or read the VN.
Yes but don't tell that to Kariyafags.
He remembered everything after the night of his summoning.
Not that explaining to Tokiomi would've done anything.
The deal was made, a gentleman magus like him wouldn't back down on his words, especially since Sakura was already raped and traumatized.
>Archer just plain gives up on having an ideal.
Did we read the same VN?
He didn't lie about forgetting. His memories gradually come back after Rin tells him her name, and he just "neglects" to inform her of that.
He's lying. He just didn't recognize Tohsaka at first, but once he did he decided he could achieve his goal of killing himself and made up the amnesia thing
He's not lying, he really doesn't remember anything after the summoning. His memories come back only after that, but I'm not sure when.
And you guys wonder what makes a person draw something like this
We can dream, can't we?
Right, but at the end he regretted it all, didn't he? That's why he told Shirou he wasn't a hero.
Besides, Shirou doesn't sacrifice the world, just his own ideals. Kerry thinks ideals are stupid and so is being a hero, so it seems like a stupid romance thing that would resonate with him
I love you, anon.
Deception is deception. He could have easily told Rin, especially after recognizing and hesitating after seeing Saber but chooses not to because at that point he realizes that he's going to completely disobey Rin and kill Shirou at any cost with no concern for the Holy Grail War.
>Besides, Shirou doesn't sacrifice the world, just his own ideals.
He would have sacrificed the world.
That's the whole point of HF.
He only lives for Sakura anymore.
See Geas end
You don't know shit about being a father.
Kiritsugu wouldn't want either of his children to carry on those ideals of his, because he knows full well what sort of pain it's caused him - There's no way he'd wish that on them. The path that makes Shirou happy is what he'd want.
Kiritsugu only regretted it because he failed. His ideals didn't really change. It's the same with Archer. Archer hated himself because he failed to achieve his ideals. Even knowing how stupid and fruitless it was to follow them, however, he couldn't give them up even in death.
Oh yes, he's very much deceiving her.
It's just that the wording in the post I quoted made it seem like he was lying from the get go, which'd be misinforming the person he was answering. I was offering clarification.
Crest worms can kill you man. If Zouken thought Kariya was gonna make a break for it he'd just remotely have the crest worms inside Kariya's body devour him. This is also an issue for Sakura in Heaven's Feel, and is the main problem Shirou tries to overcome throughout the story to save her.
Unlike Sakura, who had one worm, Kariya had multiple to make up for his lack of training as a Matou magus. They greatly increased his circuit count and made him a much better "faucet" for prana, as Rin would say.
The trade off for having all that worm prana was that they slowly devoured him from the inside, including his brain. He gradually lost sight of his objective of saving Sakura as the 4th war dragged on due to the influence of the worms, and became driven to kill Tokiomi and take his place as the father of his family instead.
All the common proposed fixes for Kariya's dilemma; tell Tokiomi about the worm rape, call the police, run away with Sakura etc simply wouldn't work so long as Kariya's life was in Zouken's hands. If he tries to talk, boom, he's eaten alive. He tries to run, ouch, he's worm food. His only actual option was to win the grail.
>No, Kiritsugu would like Mind of Steel Shirou the most, probably
He wouldn't wish his ideals or fate for anyone in the world, not even to his worst enemy. That's the reason he wouldn't teach Shirou anything. If he was there to see Shirou follow the mind of steel path, he probably would've killed himself on the spot.
He wouldn't have killed himself, but he certainly wouldn't have been pleased at all. It'd have been like he raised himself Maiya mk.2
I'm not sure about that. It's heavily implied that Shirou wins or possibly Kirei.
How the hell do we go from this to this?>>115275216
When did the Matou line turn into a bunch of weenies
If Shirou wins, Kirei wins by having fun watching him suffer as he kills everybody. As for the actual birth of Angra Manyu, it's unknown what would happen, but I can't see him standing on the sidelines when he makes his pro-life stance known in true end.
Because Kotomine always tells the truth.
I don't realy see how Shirou has a chance to win.
200 years of soulrotting
After how bad his ideal backfired on him during the previous war, it would've hit him even harder than before. Poor guy, I don't think he could have dealt with it.
The real reason the Matous declined isn't due to compatibility issues with the land, but because Zouken's been body snatching Matou successors for generations to keep himself alive.
>Because Kotomine always tells the truth.
Yes that is true. Kotomine never lies, he simply withholds from telling the truth.
He won't say "stay chill Shirou, the grail isn't corrupted" , he'll simply avoid mentioning anything about the grail being corrupted at all.
So it's his own fault that his line is dying out? Nice job dude
No that guy is just a retard who can't read.
Zouken isn't a bodysnatcher
That timeline would still produce EMIYA. Isn't it sad?
>I don't realy see how Shirou has a chance to win.
Because it's not like he wins in every route where he has much less resolve and fewer murderous intentions, right?
A ruthless Shirou with Saber at his side would be rather potent in killing Ilya, Rin, Sakura/Shinji, and even Caster. The only threat he has is Kirei, but since Kirei has a boner for Shirou it's unlikely he'd make any attempts at a win that are heavily stacked in his favor.
But Saber is already dead
He doesn't have a servant at that point.
>with Robin Williams who is still alive
I can't even imagine the sort of pleasure Kirei would feel from making the son of the only man who defeated him into his exact copy.
Especially since that's exactly what that man hated and wanted to avoid afterwards.
I bet he went over to Kiritsugu's grave and jacked off over it.
>people keep replying to bait/secondary threads
Is this really the kind of /a/ we have these days?
It was this way from the beginning.
Zouken is like a step away from being classified as a 'dead apostle' by the church - He is what /tg/ would call a lich (specifically a "Worm That Walks") - a powerful mage who has transferred his soul into something else to prolong his life. The problem is that you can never completely transfer your soul and you always need to top it up a bit, so he falls under the 'dead apostle' (usually used to refer to 'vampires') classifaction because he feeds on the life-force of others.
He's also pretty damn old (like 300 years?)
EMIYA is Shirou from a real bad timeline.
There are implications that it could've been an Illya route Shirou.
>That happened in the war before Zero if I remember correctly
Series about the third Heaven's Feel when?
Think about all the potential?
The Edelfeldt sisters murdering each other, Acht, the shittiest servant of all time, Nazis.
Actually, he kind of is, when his body wears out (because he's now made up of crest worms) he consumes people to make a new body.
>he's now made up of crest worms
His body is made up of blood worms
MoS Sherry, obviously.
But at that stage Saber had already been swallowed up by the shadow and Shirou was a master without a servant. He doesn't even have Archer's arm at this stage.
With Sakura dead, the only servant on their side left dies with her and Shirou is left as a crappy mage with no trump card against Rin with Archer, Ilya with Berserker and Zouken with Assassin. On top of this, Gilgamesh is still around with no shadow left to eat him a few days after Shirou pledges to protect Sakura.
The only ways I could see him getting over this hurdle is by either starting to develop UBW at an accelerated rate like he does in UBW route by making a lot of contact with Archer, or by going to Ilya and stabbing her in the back after she's beaten everyone else, which is unlikely to work as she knows what he's become at that stage and is more likely to kill him on the spot.
So what you're saying is that EMIYA's a lolicon?
You can't deny that it was a choice in HF.
Though the alternative was a tsundere, so the answer was obvious.
He didn't have to fuck Illya at any point, he probably just became Illya's doll, but somehow talked her out of that.
Nope, there is absolutely no way Shirou could ever actually become a successful hero. His ideal was too retarded and there's no way he would ever truly get the recognition and stuff his actions deserved.
>which is unlikely to work as she knows what he's become at that stage and is more likely to kill him on the spot.
What? She leaves him alone after he makes the choice and talking it out with him.
Isn't he literally called Nameless Hero in the game ?
Didn't the story outright state that he was considered a hero by the people before he was betrayed by his friend and set up?
The ToH tries as hard as possible to preserve causality. Even if you have a future catalyst, there's a near zero chance it will work, and the grail will never select a default future hero for you just because you don't have a catalyst.
Archer is a special case. He's a counter-guardian, meaning that the things on his possession when he died went with him to the ToH or wherever he went. I'm not sure if CGs get NPs as well, or what classifies "on his possession", but at the very least, he went with the pendant he picked up after Rin revived him.
His pendant was a catalyst for Rin. She didn't have a proper catalyst, but the ToH tried to recognize the pendant as one. As such, Archer's pendant was drawn to her since the ToH was trying to match it against him (even though it didn't work). Basically, ephemeral metaphysical bullshit.
there aren't any heroes in the future.
Archer isn't from the fucking future, he's from a parallel universe.
There's only a single one Throne of Heroes for all worlds of the Kaleidoscope.
Why did Kirei and Gil need a new vessel for the grail again? Why didn't they just kidnap Ilya? Why did they bother with all the heart transplantation?
I'm usually good for Fate stuff but I can't recall the reasoning for this at all. I remember why wanted Tohsaka as the vessel because of her magi potential, but Gil settled for Shinji in the circumstances.
But why the fuck did any of that happen in the first place?
Gil wanted to show what a great heart surgeon he was and Kirei went "sure, go ahead, mate, I'll watch".
>Archer isn't from the fucking future, he's from a parallel universe.
Actually, when he's summoned, all the way up until the end of prologue, he *is* from the "future". Archer's home universe had Archer get summoned in the same way as he actually did. Archer's summoning is a kind of closed time loop that doesn't actually loop in perceptible space, that's why it had to be a reverse future catalyst.
He is from "a" future, but not "the" future.
They'd need Aoko's help for the grail to be capable of something like that, but she wasn't around back then.
The universe only goes into ~lol parallel~ after the first choice you make in F/SN. Otherwise, it all happened.
Could someone post the guide to reading to starting Fate/Type Moon please? (The one that has read the VN as a startpoint).
Right, but the "a future" that he's from is one of the futures that follow his summoning. That's literally the only reason that the ToH accepts it. For EMIYA, a *very valuable counter-guardian*, to exist, he needs to be summoned from the future to the universe where one of Emiya Shirou's futures is beciming Archer/EMIYA.
Why was EMIYA summoned as an Archer?
I mean, sure, he wasn't known so he can't actually fit classes that have to be known for something, but he used swords his entire life, he is made of swords, his fucking origin is "swords".
Why the fuck did he get put into the Archer container?
Do whatever you want bro
It's all cool
I like the man in white but hate the man in white, the man in blue is cool tho
glowstix are fuckin spooky m8
Read FSN, or Tsukihime, or read/watch Tsukihime.
Don't read F/HA until you've read FSN.
Don't read/watch F/Z until you've read FSN.
Don't read/watch Kaleid until you've read FSN and F/HZ and read/watched F/Z.
Read the Tsukihime sequels/spinoffs in chronological order.
Don't substitute the "alternate versions" of stories (like Unlimited Codes) for their original stories, and don't read/play/watch them beforehand.
Read FSN and F/HA and Tsukihime, somehow do Melty Blood, and preferably as much other Type Zero stuff as possible before watching Carnival Phantasm.
Keep watching boi ... Keep watching.
Because he can use projectile weapons
Nigga is best when using it as projectile.
He technically can be summoned as Saber, Archer, and Caster.
Archer was the last class available, and his skills apply better to Archer than any other class anyway. He's weapon-oriented, but he's not a "wielder". Since you don't wield arrows, swords fit the archetype well enough, especially since there's shitloads of them.
Because he went to the archery club.
where do umineko and higurashi fit into the timeline
Shirou was an obscenely skilled archer.
EMIYA also doesn't qualify for Saibah, since his stats are too shit.
>EMIYA as Caster
pecause he can count the tiles on a bridge
Whoops, I was thinking of KnK, but Tsukihime came out instead. My bad. How does "watch Tsukihime" make sense, anyway? That's like "Eat FSN".
But... he's more suited to Saber because "lol swords", no? He wasn't known for using projectile weapons.
>Archer was the last class available
Think this statement through
I can accept that, but he's clearly more suited to the requirements of a Saber. He can't be known for anything, as he is a Counter Guardian, so he can only go on "lol swords"
>Think this statement through
Whoops. Fucked up my order of events.
I can accept that stats argument, but otherwise what he was good at/known for doesn't matter, as his identity is a mystery and irrelevant in the case of summoning.
Yes, he's definitely a hero in the future where he wins the grail war and goes to london with Tohsaka, then train to be Kerry-like and got his shroud from the curry lover, then there's some bullshit war and he makes the pact where he becomes EMIYA.
Well, Rin's intention was to summon Saber, but since she fucked up EMIYA showed up as Archer. That's my interpretation at least.
>he's more suited to Saber
No he isn't.
He never received any real training in swordsmanship.
His only natural talent is archery.
He has no magic resistance.
None of his swords is a part of his legend.
He doesn't begin to qualify for Saber.
This. He's not good because he's a natural swordsman, he's good because he can project powerful swords which belonged to other people.
and he makes up for it by throwing LOTS of them at the enemy. Not unlike Gil
I just finished Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. You guys did NOT tell me about the finale of this like holy fuck. The non-h eclipse scenes were pretty great, I find it funny that Type moon comedy is probably the best around.
Anyways, what do I do now? I feel like there's a giant hole. I was expecting Shirou and co goes on an adventur in London but we never got that ;_;. I want to read more.
I can accept this alongside the shit stats argument. Although his "legend" is irrelevant, because he isn't a hero. So we can only go on natural talent, experiences, and stats I suppose.
Has it said anywhere how he fought up until his death? I thought the UBW broken-phantasm bow only became possible after he'd become a Counter Guardian and actually seen all those Noble Phantasms.
I always wondered why Emiya Shiro makes a circuitry pattern in a show that has nothing to do with electronics.
Also he was not born to be a swordman, Avalon changed his origin to "sword", he was born with the skill of an Archer.
Also why is it in the Nasuverse the sluts are the best girls?
>after he'd become a Counter Guardian and actually seen all those Noble Phantasms
You forgot about meeting Gilg. Surely, he would've seen GoB at some point?
oh boy it's like all sao fags have migrated to fsn
I guess it's just down to how he actually fought then before he died, then. He shows a preference for melee combat anyway.
Did Archer participate in the war in his timeline? Did he get the broken bitch?
Probably most of the swords he has in UBW have been copied from GoB during the Grail war. I mean, there aren't a lot of swords around to analyze in the 21st century.
He had to have. Shirou only got his heart impaled because of a very specific series of events involving Archer.
He had to. The pendant he got from Rin that was used to revive him means he must at least been killed by Lancer.
What would it be like if someone summoned EMIYA as a Saber instead?
He only whores on melee because he doesnt want to show his stronger attacks nless he absolutely has to.
Superhero ending Shirou becomes Archer. Most probably, anyway.
Wait... is Rin alive when Archer Emiya travels to the clocktower?
Broken phantasm is just pumping prana into things.
Caladbolg II is his original research.
And I imagine he picked up most of his phantasms from GoB and Aacha's swordspam, it would be bit broken if he could download the entire Throne's worth of weapons into UBW.
Do we know who Rin summoned?
He'd just have different class skills, he'd still be able to shoot people with a bow and whatnot, heck is Berserker wasn't completely mad he would have had a variable arsenal.
Lancelot is Shirou from a timeline where he wished to be sent to Camelot at the conclusion of HGWV.
That doesn't mean Archer has to exist. It just means Shirou got killed at some point. Doesn't have to be by lancer. Just that Shirou didn't know who it was and Rin saved him.
no boobs for Shirou ;_;
More importantly, how many times Saber went through grail wars before she was summoned by Emiya retards?
Fuck this causality bullshit it's actually giving me a headache to think about
Looks pretty rad.
Also when all the circuits open up in the VN, you know shit hit the fan.
She showed no specific memories from other wars
It had to be Archer because the fight with Lancer had to last the same amount of time. It's an endless recursion of Archers. Unlimited Archer Works.
>Lancelot Shirou ends up NTRing Saber
But the only one he could steal to NTR her would be himself
3 or 4 max, probably.
Servants dont have memories of previous summons because the grail sends a new copy of the hero every time. The only reason Saber is the same Saber is because Avalon still had F/Z's Saber's mana in it.
>Servants dont have memories of previous summons because the grail sends a new copy of the hero every time. The only reason Saber is the same Saber is because Avalon still had F/Z's Saber's mana in it.
>Being this retarded
That's an advanced level of bullshitting you've got there, buddy.
They outright explain sabers special case.
And it ain't the one you just described.
Imagine if HGW was a sports competition and High Jumper was a class.
At least once because she had a reputation for being the strongest servant before Gilgamesh was a thing.
When they say Saber is the strongest they talk about the class, not the heroic spirit
Since she's different from normal heroic spirits and not actually dead, she can remember everything from the times she was summoned.
People who say that Nasu cornered himself with F/SN ending just don't realize how simple it will be to write a story with Seibah based on grail wars other than Fuyuki's which happened before she was summoned by Emiya masters.
>how can he become a superhero
It is easy. He just has to wear a mask, I would go for the long metal nose mask.
A huge glowing stick and his long metal nose could be used to penetrate the anus of vilians. And he could name himself the legendary stick sticker.
>yay, let's be retards to get reaction from our fellow anons!
She was summoned in the first and second And summoned later after Shirou, too. Kiritsugu got her catalyst from the family that summoned her before.
>She was summoned in the first and second
She couldn't have been summoned in the first. She was the head of one of three mage families that started it.
What happens if he does the Tron shit on his dick?
>"King of Heroes, do you have enough swords in stock" will happen and it won't be shit
I'm hyped as fuck
I wish you could also post the source of this.
>summoned later after Shirou, too
Unlimited Rape Works
Shes summoned in the Ainsworth GraimWar, after Shirou's shit.
Yeah, he's just like Gandalf, everyone suck his dick but the only thing he can do is make his staff glow in the dark.
Wrong, you fucking retard. Archer did not abandon his ideals during his lifetime.
>B) Kariya is indirectly responsible for aforementioned worm rape by renouncing the Matou magecraft and all her suffering stems from becoming their successor in his stead.
Now that I think about it, Zouken probably told her that all the time.
I mean, what's the point for her to participate in wars any longer. In Fate and UBW I think she was pretty established about quitting the game because she no longer had the wish to erase herself to be granted by the grail. HF Saber maybe?
Is this the new spinzaku?
I think he went after Masters in MoS, possibly getting servant of a master he killed.
i thought something was off but i didn't pay much attention to it. doesn't anyone take care of the wiki? what's that supposed to mean anyway.
That move was awesome as fuck, putting all your weight in one OP swing, Lancer had a hard time blocking Saber
Why didn't Archer just save everyone?
If he killed Zouken, Assassin would be likely to contract with him for a while but eventually stab him in the back. Easily the hardest person to kill as all of Zouken and Assassin's skills are anti-human.
If he played up her trust in him and killed Ilya then Berserker would be impossible for a novice magic user like Shirou to control, and would likely be unwilling to contract with him in the first place.
If he seduced Rin and killed her when her guard was down then Archer would kill him without hesitation.
Gil is very, very unlikely to partner up with Shirou in an actual master/servant contract, and would probably prefer to kill him on the spot.
The only viable option is to acquire his reality marble before the inevitable confrontation with Gil, then team up with someone else in order to defeat him before stabbing them in the back. Then he'd need to destroy the grail with something like an Excaliblast, which would likely kill him for using magecraft beyond the scope of his powers.
He is Lancelot during this grail war he gets sent to the past by Caster's NP and becomes a hero.
Why doesnt Shirou just fuck her
I was thinking about Rider.
Because he's his friend's sister.
Didn't Sakura ate Gil before that choice? Or did it happen after it? I know Lancer and Fake Assassin were dead long before that.
What does she mean by "goof off"?
With Shinji or in the worm pit.
Have sex with Shinji I guess.
Assassin is actually extremely loyal, so he'd probably stick with Shirou if that was his main option. Zouken should either be dead or close to death at that point anyway unless the worm managed to escape from Sakura.
She might just be willing to be his Servant before she disappears, but the fact he let Rin kill her definitely works against him unless he lies and says he tried to stop her. If he ever dreams about it in his sleep though Rider will know.
Given he isn't a proper master, He'd need to give Rider buckets of his semen for her to be combat worthy against Berserker or Archer, let alone Gil.
He'd have to keep Rider out of the loop with regards to the time he spends with Rin (and by extension, Archer) while he acquires UBW and uses them to defeat Berserker.
Gil was eaten afterwards. If MoS actually results in a Shirou win, I'd be very interested to see how he went about beating the king of heroes.
Why does true assassin only appear in HF?
Is there a particular reason he never does anything in the other 2 routes? I don;t recall anything ever being mentioned about him in Fate or UBW that'd explain why he's MIA for both of those routes, but it's been a long time since I've read it
For some reason she doesn't want him to think that she has friends and a social life implying is bad to go out with friends. Honestly I don't get what her point is.
I wonder if Zabaniya (Delusional Heartbeat) works on him too.
How do you figure he'd be dead? The guy was prepared to skip over the 5th war and just assimilate new bodies with his worms while he waits for a better pawn for the next war.
The crest worm wasn't Zouken's main body. He enters Sakura briefly before the finale at the greater grail so that he can assimilate her body and make a wish if she gets mindbroken by Angra Manyu.
It's kinda sad how she straight up says that she has no friends or social life other than Shirou
Zouken doesn't summon him. It's as simple as that.
Why does Berserker warp and stop besides them?
She has a social life that consists of worm rape, getting raped by Shinji and drinking magus semen. Her friends are dick worms and lots of semen.
Do you understand why she would tell him that? The weirdest part is how she is proud of that.
She thinks it would be bad to imply that she would be putting her friends or her social life above her servile wifely duties to shirou and his home. She's deluded enough to think that her mindless devotion of him is really important, and that it would offend him if she had a life of her own outside of taking care of him.
He's a collection of worms, but his main body, the worm by her heart, is what contains his soul. He was able to hold on for a little bit after she crushed it, but he would only be a little better off if Rin had killed it when killing Sakura. I doubt he would have much time or the energy to sustain Assassin.
My god that's sad. You can see how badly the worm rape and all the suffering has affected her.
Before a normal Magus can summon the Assassin class servant in his normal form of Hassan Caster binds her own pseudo servant with the Assassin name, blocking any attempts to make a contract with true Assassin.
In order to summon true Assassin, the body of Fake Assassin is needed early in the HF route, and Assassin literally bursts from his body like an oversized chest burster and eats his corpse while the shadow kills Kuzuki and Medea.
To show that she is 100% devoted to Shirou and that he is her life?
That makes sense, thanks.
Pretty much all of HF is a haze, I think I skimmed a lot of it rather than reading properly.
But anon they are just friends.
You should go back and read it properly. It's the culmination of most of the characters development, and the other two routes are the nascent stages of the story that build up towards HF. It was without a doubt my favourite route overall.
To be fair to her, I think she actually values her domestic time in Shirou's home above pretty much everything else in her life. It's something she does because she chooses to, and it makes her happy to be helpful to someone that she cares about, plus it's her refuge from the wormpit and Shinji.
Honestly it would probably hurt her feelings more than anything to hear Shirou say something like "oh don't worry about your chores at my house, I don't really care if you go hang out with friends instead". She puts it above her social life because it's important to her, and she wants it to be important to him, too.
Sakura is a good girl, even if she's a little odd.
Try telling that to the lewd girl who spends her free time playing the role of his wife, fawning over him day after day in his own home, tenderly shaking him awake every morning, preparing all his meals, wiping away the loose grain of rice on his cheek at the dinner table, all the while resisting the impulse to do unspeakable things to him due to the effects of the Matou training.
This fucking guy's voice is giving me boners and I'm straight as fuck.
>plus it's her refuge from the wormpit and Shinji.
Wouldn't this be the reason why she grew to value her domestic time in Shirou's home? I agree she is a good girl but I think her personality also reflects some of her scars.
That's why his route was cut from VN, it would be too dangerous.
I don't want to read the VN for 70 hours you faggots, is there anywhere I can get a summary of the major plot points.
Shirou is so dense how could he not notice the obvious? I wish there would have been flashbacks to when she just started helping at the Emiya household.
Well anything could be a refuge. That particular refuge is valuable to her because it's a refuge she found and chose of her own accord. It's an expression of agency, and thus freedom. She values it because it was her choice, and the simple fact that she had the chance to chose makes it precious to her.
She values that agency all the more because she gets so few oppourtunities to express it, but it doesn't change the fact that it is her choice to devote herself to Shirou.
No, eat a dick.
A flashback to how Shirou and Sakura met and how they came to be close friends would be pretty cute.
I'd love to see how she wormed her way into his life
The DEEN anime summarized all the routes, so you could try that.
I got you friend.
I literally felt pain because of this image.
>chose of her own accord.
Didn't Zouken sent her there to spy on the Emiyas? I am sure she values it because Shirou was a good Senpai to her and she opened up to him.
Probably for the same reason that he didn't kill her when the Shadow was roaming around eating people; He buried his head in the sand and pretended he convinced himself he didn't know, likely because he doesn't have a sense of personal happiness and he couldn't possibly pin down and violate the sister of his friend Shinji, regardless of how much she clearly wanted it.
Early in the story he acknowledges how good looking she's become, but that his role as a good senpai forbid him from acting on it and seducing her, plus the fact that she was Shinji's sister.
It's okay to be a shitty king as long as you recognize your destiny to be a shitty king, women can fight if they have invincibility.
You are a sword, Shiroe.
No Archer, I am a hero.
Sakura's worm spillage consumes an entire town, cataclysm dwarfed by manly brawl. More news at eleven.
I watched it, it summarized Fate but not HF or UBW. I want to know what happens so I can get hype for the Ufotable versions.
The ultimate summary of the nasuverse.
Saved, going to send it to a couple of faggots I know who want to Fateverse
By stealing White Man's arm.
Everyone likeable dies
>A flashback to how Shirou and Sakura met and how they came to be close friends would be pretty cute.
That's the biggest fault of HF it was her route yet they failed to explain how Shirou broke the ice.
But Rin and Shirou are alive on all the endings worth a shit.
Shirou technically died but came back as an undead zombie or something, the details are fuzzy since I read the thing ages ago.
>But Rin and Shirou are alive on all the endings worth a shit.
>Implying Rin survived the 5th war after Shirou makes his choice in MoS.
> Fate/Stay Night (2006) DEEN
>The anime is critically acclaimed and very popular
I ... am I being trollinated
>>Implying Rin survived the 5th war after Shirou makes his choice in MoS.
>implying he didn't seduce her with his Archer impression
It affects my autism specially seeing her animated and wanting it so bad and not getting anything. In the VN it felt like she had a bigger barrier but not here.
Archer vs Lancer with Kawa Kenji's OST.
Why would you think that? The DEEN anime was very popular.
Actually yes sorry I did try to trollinate you here's the actual chart. Fate/Zero was never a reboot.
He can only cut down 10 trees a day with a chainsaw. But shortly someone's going to show him, how to switch on the engine.
Pic not related.
>He can only cut down 10 trees a day with a chainsaw. But shortly someone's going to show him, how to switch on the engine.
That's a great analogy, actually
I miss that guy. I am not really fond of the bwoongs in UFO UBW but hell I am already satisfied enough by them.
Command Spells have enough mana in them to make the impossible (like teleportation) possible, he could have command spelled Berserker to kill Zouken, and turning a surgical scalpel into an NP he can destroy the crest worms implanted in Sakura without destroying Sakura herself.
WHAT THE FUCK
If Command Seals are so powerful then why didn't Berserker stop fighting Gilgamesh?
>and turning a surgical scalpel into an NP he can destroy the crest worms implanted in Sakura
I wouldn't trust a berserk lancelot with surgery
Can Ryougi Shiki kill servants?
If you summon Emiya as Saber, you botched the summoning and summoned him as a Wraith.
He can't be a saber, for a very simple reason: He is not good enough with his own weapon.
and his stats is too shit to get past the summoning phase, unless there is a beefier monster version out there.
Why is Kenji so Kawai?
But you would trust Dr. Gilgamesh with heart surgery?
His gold armor probably protects him from it, considering it's anti curse properties.
This armor also protects him from Medusa's mystic eyes.
Gilgamesh was a certified doctor. The Hippocratic Oath was written by Hammurabi.
>Issei route never
The class doesn't make the Wraith, the hero itself does. In F/SN continuity, there was no actual Sasaki Kojirou (aka a legend with no basis, whereas Herk, Medea, Medusa actually were there during the Age of Gods). And EMIYA does seem to have a preference for K&B, see Crane Wing Realm Three, which can defeat Saber.
Kotomine, a spiritual surgeon with an innate skill for sorting out magical ailments, was unable to extract the crest worm without killing her.
A teenager with a normal scalpel and absolutely no medical training isn't going to do anything but make a gory red mess of his girlfriend, and has no hope of removing the crest worm, a fundamentally magical parasite that normal medicine cannot heal.
Zouken is just going to crawl back to life. Its his job after all.
Might take 10-20 years, but he is going to do it.
Just a shame K&B are Assassin weapons.
Then if you attack him before he wears his armor, you can take him down with True Assassin, huh?
If you got the drop on him, sure.
There are no heroes left in man
>implying he didn't strangle her to death mid coitus to make sure she wasn't a problem later.
Well that and you would have nothing to heal the gaping wound you made in a five year old girl's chest, so not very smart from the get-go.
Considering Gilgamesh and his tendency of underestimating people, I can easily see this happening.
Assassins never win though, because it doesn't make an exciting story.
Command Seals aren't fucking magical genies that can grant your every desire
Help me come up with an FSN drinking game, /a/.
>Drink every time Sakura says "senpai"
>Tacticool wizard gets Assassin and has to stealthily assassinate the other masters to win the Grail
Why didn't Rin at least use a Command Spell on Archer when he faced Berserker alone? At least to give him a boost?
I know Command Seals are precious, but when going up against a monster like that, using one to give your Servant even a slightly higher chance of winning seems like a fair trade-off.
>drink whenever Shirou does or says something stupid
He can't, easy. That's a pretty useless power.
rin is a dumbass
>wanting alcohol poisoning
>drink every time Tohsaka says "mattaku!"
Kayneth is suffering
Kotomine had to keep Sakura infirmed to keep Rin and Shirou fro dealing with the real problem, and keep them from realizing she was inadvertedly birthing AM, so he left out quite a bit of things. He also still had a command seals, and they could hypnotize a heart surgeon to particpate in helping him out.
I agree Kotomine would be better than commanding a berserker to do it, but in HF, Kirei was going for yuetsu. It was kind of hilarious he convinced Rin that his hijacked command seals from the 4th war were a "family crest".
Take a shot every time Seiba yells out 'Shirou!' or vice versa.
>It was kind of hilarious he convinced Rin that his hijacked command seals from the 4th war were a "family crest".
Well, he had me fooled.
Why was Kayneth so retarded?
Was it mercury poisoning from the puddle?
please redo, you cut a bit from the last line in the fate zero entry. i think this will be useful very soon.
obviously training with mercury from young age got to him
While mercury by itself isn't that harmful, vapor getting into your bloodstream is pretty dangerous. Kanyneth having no other friends being a social retard probably spent time with mercury for long ass time
Why did Fast Wheels bring his girlfriend with him to the Holy Grail War?
It seem like a bad idea, especially considering his Servants identity.
Any kouhai character in an anime would have your liver dead. She doesn't say it more than most of them do.
>Give up everyone to save Ilya
>Her body shuts down a year later anyway and there's absolutely nothing he can do about it
Definitely enough suffering to go around there
Well he hadn't planned on using Deermud, he's lucky he was able to get a backup catalyst.
Fastwheels thought that the Grail War was your typical HP wizard battle and thought he would show-off to Sola
Didn't Deermud make all women want to fuck him?
Saibah held back because his face was so cute.
It's all Waver's fault
Iskander would have made a man out of Kayneth. He would finally be able to get Sola's love and the respect he deserves.
if he were related to anyone I think it would be Iskander since they both can create a Reality Marble
plus, Gingers are Ginger
To this day, I can still hear her saying these things, along with an angry "DAKARA"
a man indeed.
>not ending sentences in -kashira to sound refined
>not "aa, mou!" for tsundere fits
>not "wakateru yo" when she's frustrated
he was gifted (see: cursed) with that ability, yes
>It's all Waver's fault
Kayneth, get off the computer.
fast wheels messed with the summoning ritual so his wife would provide the prana while he carried the command seals.
that way he could fight at full power against the other masters
>[HorribleSubs] Fate Stay Night - Unlimited Blade Works - 01v2 [720p].mkv
Is Shiro no longer the White Man?
Fastwheels was too pure for the HGW
let's be honest here, Waver caught at least one bumming from Iskander
Sure thing Kayneth.
The throne thinks guns are bullshit. And it's right.
Waver is responsible for:
>Stealing a prestigious mage's catalyst
>Illegal entry into the Holy Grail War
>Manipulation of the elderly and infirm
>Resurrection of a homosexual tyrant
>Voluntary enlistment into the army of a homosexual tyrant
Waver is truly the one worthy of bearing all the evils of the world
A modern warrior takes infinitely more skill and experience to master than any ancient soldier.
I can't stop hearing it
he also murdered some chickens when others just used mercury, or some other substance not acquired from killing innocent animals
>skill = heroism
I guess we should fire all the ancient heroes and replace all the Grail Warriors with Korean StarCraft players.
Yeah, but a modern warrior can be taken out with the lowest class of the same weaponry by some moron who happens to stumble upon him. Guns give everybody and equal chance of fucking each other up.
Iskander Kayneth would be the worst master/servant compatibility ever.
Lancer's curse was stated to be very easy to resist for any decent mage. His fiancee just chose to let it affect her because she doesn't have any feelings for Kayneth.
there is no escape
What if Shirou had, instead of Saber, formed a contract with:
>Gilgamesh (or Child-Gil)
>a modern warrior can be taken out with the lowest class of the same weaponry by some moron who happens to stumble upon him
As opposed to?
I CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU
You literally have no idea about the context that page is in. It's way less edgy than you think.
Hint: Its not from FSN.
I'd say skill gap is rather reduced and aided by machinery and other helpful tools
He also turned Mercury-chan into his personal maid. Truly the worst enemy of Kayneth.
How long until this bit?
In an alternate reality, Iskander and Gilgamesh aren't much better.
The original F/SN (the one that came after Prototype) had a Medea and Medusa route.
Medea turns into a loli to fool Taiga and the rest while he gets Medusa from the same shed.
>Summon that finish guy as assassin
>Keep on peppering enemy servant and masters, and they can't figure out where the shots are coming from
>Spend entire war in hiding, while keking
He loses with any other servant unless he's fortunate enough to be chosen as the master of Sir Gawain. Sir Gawain is objectively the most powerful Saber and would absolutely destroy any of the other lowly servants that tried to defy him and his master.
>Warning: objects in prism are edgier than they appear.
Am I slowpoking with this?
Dying a bitch death on the battlefield because you're a colossal fuck up? Guns kill people, swords take a bit more effort to kill people.
Except non of them are superhuman, and pretty much no modern human are ever gonna think of them as superhuman, and thus no legends will be born of them.
You need to be superhuman or have superhuman legends the people at the time believes.
The best part is that she doubted him, and even sa, "you can't 'use up" a crest that your famil has built up fom generations pat!"and then he just ays, "mine is a spcial consumptable type". And Rin, being the type that never questions a percieved authority on a subject, even when she knows in her bones is fishy, taes the bait.
I will bet money he laughed so hard whenthey all went home that night that the orphans in his basement could hear it. It's why when Shirou punches him in the face later on after calling him on his bullshit he doesn't mind. They gave him humor and spanking material of suffering for weeks to come.
wasnt that last year or something
I want Extra and CCC, animated, by Shaft
It's exactly because of the tools and the machinery that the training is significantly harder.
You have to know combat doctrine, what EVERYTHING does, and how and when to use every possible tool to keep you alive precisely because of:
Modern Training is significant, comparatively. Even for the basic army you need to know a hell of a lot more than discipline and to point and shoot.
Though if it's the most significant? I can't say, honestly. Different times.
>Simo Hayha as Assassin
>Implying that isn't broken as fuck
Fortunately the only one who could summon him is Luvia.
I don't know how much money it would take to make this possible, but I would rob, cheat, and steal to make it so
Taking into account the spoilers for three and four, episode six or seven? It probably won't take place in the same episode as Battle of the Flab.
Pretty much, heroic spirits are literally created from human legends.
Heroic Spirit [Concept]
Source: Fate/side material (2004-1-30), p.056
Heroes who achieved great things in life, and became objects of worship after death.
As a "power that protects humanity", they are high ranking existences, categorically closer to elementals than wraiths.
However, whereas elementals are "power" given form using the container called human imagination, Heroic Spirits are woven from people's ideals on the inside, too.
Among the Heroic Spirits, there are those from legends, those that really existed, and those that were never observed at all. The ones who aren't worshipped much fall under the broad classification of "Counter Guardian", and are used as a mindless "Counter Force".
Of all the Heroic Spirits that appeared in the story, the only one functioning as a "Counter Guardian" was Archer.
Because the other Heroic Spirits had high divinity, and were existences closer to the planet than humanity, they were able to avoid being drafted as Counter Guardians.
>Shirou no manuke!
Oh god, hits the spot.
>threat to servants and magi
Nah. Gawain's a poor match. In terms of personality, I mean. Furthermore, every single battle in the Heaven's Feel take place at night, out of necessity, as dictated by both the Mage's Association and the Church. Brawling it out in broad daylight is strictly taboo. In other words, the Numeral of the Saint is rendered effectively worthless. There is no Master or Servant who would be stupid enough to show themselves when the sun's out, so there would be no enemy for Gawain to fight when he's at his strongest.
Also, Gawain would have no means of defeating Gilgamesh, even if the conditions were perfect. Unlike Saber, who can obtain a certain cheat called "Avalon", Gawain has no such convenient trump card. Plus, all the Numeral of the Saint really does is triple his parameters; it doesn't necessarily make him absolutely invincible. He wouldn't necessarily survive a blast from Ea, even with it active.
He'd also be a poor match against Berserker as well.
Imagine Shirou with Archer hair and a beard.
Please don't spoil who Archer and Lancer is, I already know who Saber is from Fate Zero
Not superhuman nor have any superhuman legends.
FSN Lancer is the same Lancer from fate/zero, just look at his spear
Archer is Gilgamesh's second personality.
Lancer is Diarmund.
Archer and Lancer are the same person
Same. I believe Kana Ueada had a big role on making these unforgettable.
>Saibah held back because his face was so cute.
Wow what a slut.
Leave this thread, now
Archer is the Red Man
Archer is the red man, Lancer is Coo coo ca choo
The original one had Shirou and Rin as separate protagonists with a Saber, Ilya, loli Medea and Medusa route until wormslut was introduced (gotta appease the meidofags) and thus the Medea route was axed completely, Ilya and Medusa's routes were recycled into what we know now as Heaven's Feel while Rin gets a route of her own leaving Shirou as the MC for the VN.
It also had the unnamed Servant of the Shield that appears in Fate/Grand Order.
Thats not the issue. The issue is that
>The Soviets' efforts to kill Häyhä included counter-snipers and artillery strikes
The war is going to end with Hayha against the final servant, regardless. Unless somebody nukes half the city.
He is so new he hasn't been spoiled yet.
>>threat to servants and magi
Let's ask Kerrytsigu about that
Play any match in Unlimited Codes with Rin getting ammered. You'll hear "Aa wakata!" every other second, it's maddening.
Though it sounds kind of M to say " I know!" n response to being hit.
you go single-handedly defeat the Soviet army in the middle of winter and then tell me you're not superhuman
Lancer is a dog and Archer is the red man.
Having a harder training or knowing more or any of that bullshit isn't relevant in this case. A man in 1200 AD cuts down 30 men and 2 horses in a single battle, and he's considered a god of war. Some grunt with an LMG guns down 100 people now, and he just happened to have a good spot to sit in. Because guns are bullshit.
Here you go.
The difference in skill is much more evident with modern weapons than ancient ones. The advantages of heroes in the past generally come from class instead of any personal ability. The knights of medieval Europe didn't become famous as ruling the battlefield because of personal skill, but because they were rich enough to afford the training and equipment that would give them the edge over the majority of other medieval troops. The farther back you go the wider the divide is. Someone who can afford equipment and training will be much more likely to win against a peasant who can barely afford a spear.
Having someone who can distinguish themselves when the skill gap is much more equal makes it even more significant. Most anyone can use a gun, sure, but that's what makes the people who stand above and beyond the rest even more unique and noteworthy. Look at Simo Häyhä, Jack Churchill, or Audie Murphy. If you look at modern legends and think it's less special because they have more deadly weapons, you need to also consider their enemies have the same ones, if not better in some circumstances.
That kind of skill though is literally the antonym as the what is required of a heroic spirit.
Basically, the Fuyuki Heaven's Feel is pretty much THE worst possible battlefield for Gawain. All of his advantages are stripped away from him and he has too many natural enemies.
The only reason he was so effective in the Moon Cell Grail War was because conditions were actually favorable for him there.
I-i don't know how to make glowsticks.
Do you wear a diaper to keep shit from oozing out of your ass normally? I would suggest you change it because it got all over your keyboard.
Sure and he loses.
He's worthless as servant.
I was too late wasn't I.
Oh, I agree completely. I wasn't the original person who said that.
I was just clarifying on the difference. Training is important in modern warfare so that you DON'T get gunned down by one fucker with a good spot. Training and tactics are pretty much what keeps you alive in situations.
Finland as a heroic spirit when?
Reality Marble is a sauna where all slavs die from the heat.
Sir Gawain's most powerful hour is at high noon, yes, but his power as a knight extends so vastly beyond his competition in the Fifth War that he'd be easily able to deal with them well into the night. Gilgamesh and Berserker would be noble enemies, but the arrogance and madness of the two would be their undoing.
Sir Gawain's quick thinking and raw skill combined with Shiroe's innovation and tactical foresight would inevitably lead them to victory.
The soviet army was an absolute joke at the time, and one of the reasons Hitler thinks that he can easily win against them.
And tons of people have survived worse odds and are not considered superhuman.
He make all his kills over 100 days and had helps of other soldiers, and even with a gun that wasn't comparable to heroes of the past that did tons more killings in far shorter time with melee weapons.
You still don't understand what superhuman means. It means BEYOND HUMAN ABILITY.
For god's sake, there always has to be those guys who try so hard to convince themselves that modern figures could be heroic spirits. Why? Are you just bored? Nasu's already said why it's exceedingly unlikely, take it up with him instead of fangirling over some sniper or whatever in Fate threads.
Go to sleep, Gawain
I've seen a lot about the scrapped routes, but no where was it said that Sakura wasn't an original heroine. Your calling her wormslut kind of proves you're baiting here, so stop.
What catalyst would be needed to summon him?
And literally any of those people taking a stroll through Oakland will possibly land them 6 feet under by some random punk with a 9mm. The skill is NOT important. I don't know how many times you have to be explained that in this thread. The throne does not allow people after a certain point simply because using a gun is not very heroic. Even if you are the best sniper in the world, and can hit a bee from 100 miles out, it was the using of the gun that made it famous, not because of the feat of the person.
Guns aren't heroic. They're bullshit.
>He make all his kills over 100 days and had helps of other soldiers
He went solo into the woods. Having others would have just been a distraction and they would have gotten in his way.
He fought like he had hunted his whole life.
No, that alone doesn't suffice. There's still gonna be a huge skill gap.
Cu Chulainn is the son of Lugh. He was an insanely talented monster even before he took up training under Scathach. The innate abilities of Heroic Spirits are just incomparable to anything modern humans have. We don't have many demigods in the modern era. The talent gap is just to wide.
Even King Arthur had a number of unfair advantages from birth. She's an athletic goddess who can master any movement or physical technique in less than a day.
This one has higher bait potential since most secondaries already know F/Z.
No, it is more because many feats accomplished by firearms are not impressive to modern people.
>Q: If there are Heroic Spirits like Archer, who was summoned independent of time axis, is it possible for warriors from the future, who are loaded with modern weapons, to be summoned as Servants?
>A: Although modern weapons are powerful, it is difficult for the users of modern weapons to be classified as Heroic Spirits. The advantage of modern weapons is "anyone can use them as long as they were trained", thus it is difficult for the user to become a Heroic Spirit, whose definition is "the one and only". The users of modern weapons are faceless heroes. If there are indeed heroes who are loaded with modern weapons, the users will not become Heroic Spirits, as they are merely "experts anyone can achieve through sufficient training". The actual Heroic Spirits being worshiped will be the "greatest weapon of that era". However, for the weapon to become a Heroic Spirit in this case, it must harbour a soul.
A watercolor painting and a veggie burger
The gun he used to kill himself could work.
You go slay a dragon, on your own, beat up an invisible dwarf with super strength, grab his shit, get the biggest know treasure of your time, sail with your best friend to iceland, win a battle against a Valkyrie, marry his sister and pull the first NTR in history and pull it on both your best friend and his sister.
That's really not as big as "shooting guys while camping out during the winter", right?
I just noticed why do Shirou and Archer have different eye colours.... is that due to excessive reinforcement or some other shit (ala completely missing that detail like Nasu often does).
That is exactly what I said.. Were you supposed to be making a point against me? ToH doesn't like guns, they're easy to use, past a certain point (the creation of firearms) heroic spirits stop being possible.
Isn't Saber physically the weakest between Shirou Rin and her. This is stated in the VN. She relies heavily on prana burst.
Making glowsticks is the best power though. Just imagine: you could start a rave ANYWHERE.
Do you not know who Ireland's child of light is?
Him shouting Gae Bolg should have been a dead giveaway.
>Not recognizing Santa Claus
Lancer is Issei.
Archer is Illya.
Gilgamesh is not the real Gilgamesh, instead he's actually Shinji.
I wholeheartedly agree to this post, this young man right here is definitely a smart person.
Why summon useless Servants when you can win with Sir Gawain? Sir Gawain doesn't even need sunlight to be effective, its just a bonus skill.
It is not just to strength to obey, but the strength to command.
not just strength in numbers, but the strength of brothers.
not just strength to lift, the strength to raise.
not just strength to win, the strength to get over yourself.
It's more than physical strength, it is emotional strength.
There is nothing on this green earth stronger than Sir Gawain, because nothing there is nothing stronger than the strongest Saber.
There's strong, there is Sir Gawain Strong.
No one cares about Irish mythology
What if the fairies make a Gun that is one and only?
>see Fate/Stay Night USA facebook page doing giveaway
>they make a post with a list of names, telling those people to message them because they won the giveaway
>my name isn't on list
>look through the listed names until i find someone who doesn't use facebook much
>make an account with the same name, using the same avatar (which is just an anime picture)
>send a message pretending that i won
>they fall for it and have sent the prize
Her athleticism is second to none. She went from someone who has no idea about even the bare-basic fundamentals of swimming to a fairly competent one in less than a day. With just a week's worth of practice, she'd outstrip even the top Olympic swimmers of the modern era with ease. She mastered the fundamentals of soccer within a single short afternoon. Even without her Prana Burst, she can easily flip over a grown adult with minimal effort.
The difference between Saber and any modern athlete is that anything that would take a modern athlete years and years of training to master would take Saber only a few days at most.
>that fucking theme starts playing in my head
Well done, anon.
Magic happens and it lands itself into the hands of a noble warrior who takes it and does somethings and dies. Where he just stays dead and doesn't go to the throne CAUSE THE THRONE DOES NOT ALLOW GUNS.
Would you say that he's an even better Servant than King Arthur?
If I trained really hard to become a martial artist and became one of the greatest martial artists ever, then used my skill to help governments take down terrorists could I become a heroic spirit?
Let's not get too hasty there.
Except the Throne of Heroes does allow gun to be heroic spirits. Rin even stated that machines can become heroic spirit.
No, because you could only help your government by killing other people with guns. And then you're just an idiot for not using the readily available and much better method of fighting to kill said people with guns.
Ghost Banri's going to fuck it up for you.
Why doesn't the throne just allow guns?
>help government to take down terrorists
The government wouldn't exactly be spreading word of your deeds, so no one would know who you are. You'd never become a legend
She's awful at baseball, notice how all your stuff comes from F/HA in the actual VN the first one she's simply implied to be physically weak and bad at sports.
They can. But they won't. You fuckers really just won't quit on this will you?
Are you sure that's not what you're saying?
Because that appears to be what you're saying.
It really seems to me like you're saying that THE LOYAL KNIGHT OF THE ROUND TABLE GAWAIN is BETTER than KING ARTHUR, THE KING HE HAS SWORN ABSOLUTE LOYALTY TO.
What if hundreds of years in the future the machines rebelled against humanity and were lead by a heroic AI that accomplished all sorts of supertranshumanist tasks and liberated them from human rule before being destroyed? Would you be able to summon an AI as a servant?
so in some universes shirou never becomes archer. so technically with paralel universes and all there may be universes where different characters become heroic spirits or counter guaridans
so if a different version of you became a heroic spirit what life would it have had and what class would you be? honestly i think my heroic spirit version would probably be a version of me that never quit doing karate as a kid and became one of the greatest karate masters to ever live. i'd live to my mid 20s teaching my techniques and starting a new whole school of martial arts and i would be a world renowned artist. i would get involved in government agencies because they want me to teach their agents and eventually when WW3 would break out i would die defending my temple from terrorists. after WW3 ended people would regard me as a hero and my legacy would forever me known.
as for my class i'd probably be an assassin due to my work in government agencies. i might work as berserker too because i would be known to go berserk in battle and would have had a short period of berserkness when early in WW 3 one my temples got destroyed and my students killed (i would have became and single handily wiped out all those terrorists who did it in my anger) the attack on my other temple (the one where i die) would actually be revenge for that, and i would forever regret losing myself to the anger because it cost even more lives. my wish would probably be related to that
I think you're going overboard here, there's not a specific prohibition against guns in the Throne, it's just very unlikely for someone to become a hero for using guns since they can be used by anyone with little training. But hypothetically, if there was a super special magic gun that only one person could use, I don't see why they wouldn't be allowed on the Throne.
She's always awful with things at first. She gets much better insanely fast with practice.
Are guns around at the time? If they are, then no, if they aren't, then maybe.
Because then the Throne would become like America.
in fate/prototype manthur billed gawain as the strongest and most loyal in camelot
and manthur isn't a slacker either
It'd be a tad difficult getting a catalyst that could summon it, given that it's from the future and all.
It'd also be difficult to try a summoning without a catalyst to get it because in terms of compatible personalities, you're probably not an AI
Only if the AI looks like Saber.
Like how fast she learns to play soccer.
Well, ignore the governments part. I'd just single handily take down ISIS by myself.
What If me and my gun are one and the same?
Yes, because she's a 1.5 m tall fourteen year old girl, physically. And she's never been implied to be bad at sports.
the gun he offed himself with
His stats are sexy and all, but need I remind you he got taken out by an, albeit sexy, caster class servant. No excuse, Gawain shit tier servant.
He wasn't a hero.
She tried a lot with base ball many times, that's the whole point of that scene (it's why Shirou called it hell). She forced Shirou to do it again and again, and lost every time until she was forced to admit defeat..
The point being she completely lacks the upper body strength require because she is physically weak.
Fucked up his body doing too much cocaine.
Except baseball and sports of that nature
Except it is explicitly stated that they can if they have soul. So something like say Convoy/Optimus Prime (funny enough, he was referenced in the cut joke script file for F/SN for the cut option of joining Shinji).
Theyhave an interlude of that both from Shirou's perepctive, and Sakura's perspective. Shirou's was when he and Sakura have a private talk about his ideal (the "if I become a bad person" lines from the movie preview were from that scene), and Sakura's was during HF Normal, where she reflects how she came to help him when he was injured and what she felt back then. It is the counterpoint usually brought up when people say she fell for him after the high jump, when it was really much later.
You sure you read the route guys?
Eh, the KGB has Hitler's skull and jawbone (complete with bullet hole). Or at least I think they do, they might've had them destroyed.
But at any rate, if you're a scary magus I'm sure breaking into wherever they've got that shouldn't be a problem? What better catalyst is there than a chunk of the guy you're going for?
>he got taken out
>by a playable Servant
>a blonde Servant gets taken out by a ginger
>Greece's greatest hero gets taken out by a ginger
>A schoolteacher beats a Servant
>You sure you read the route guys?
I did is it wrong to ask for more on their past though? Because honestly it was pretty dry.
Alexander wasn't Greek, he was Macedonia. Macedonia is not Greek.
Doesn't she obliterate a soccer ball (or football if you prefer) by kicking it real hard in F/HA?
Why do I love Shinji so much? It's pretty simple when I think about it. Shinji isn't just the best character in the series, he might just be the greatest character of all time. Just imaging him walking through Fuyuki, all the ladies swoon at his very scent. They know how he smells, the essence of his smell is sold under the the name of "Matou Orgasm." The very nature of Shinji is mystery. could he be playing a deeper game than even his creator realizes? The answer is yes, he has transcended such boundaries as the written world, and has free will to do whatever he sees fit. However, Shinji is filled with such guile, such arcane craft that he does not even use these powers. Why, you might ask? You will never know, for the mind of the Shinji is not one that is easily penetrated. Shinji is such a force of nature in his realm that nothing can truly touch him, the only thing keeping him bound to the page at all is his will to exist within the preordained boundaries of his world. Shinji is not only beyond the comprehension of us, he exists within a plane of true focus and beauty. Observe his playful smile, his gourgeous and rippling biceps, his gallant nose, and most importantly, his eyes. His eyes, like pools of sapphire, provide the only glimpse into the true machinations of Shinji. Do not stare into them. Many good men have gone mad in the attempt. Shinji is not just a character, a formless collection of words and images, he is himself is the binding that holds the saga together. Without Shinji, the entire series, the entire Fate series as we know it crumbles.
These are just of a few of the reasons why I like Shinji so much.
He's only 8 years old
FYROM is just a Greek city in denial
If you love him so much why don't you marry him
>What better catalyst is there than a chunk of the guy you're going for?
Being the guy himself
>Shirou will never summon archer
>they will never discuss their ideals
>they will never bro op in the end
>Archer will never train Shirou
>Double UBW never
At the time, Macedonia considered itself Greek
But none of the Greek city-states considered Macedonia Greek
She was playing literally for the first time well enough to keep her duel with Shirou nearly endlessly because of the rules.
And before you say "swordsmanship is like using a bat", no. It really isn't.
if shirou joined Iskander's army, could he equip everyone with projected NPs and destroy everything
I mean technically being the spirit is having the chunk of the guy right?
That's not it. The rules were that the winner had to win x amount of games in a row, she was good enough to keep it going for hours.
i don't think shirou ever beat alexander
pretty sure he is talking about herc
It wasn't because she was good enough, it was because she was competitive and wouldn't let it go until she won.
K+B Combo with 12 swords. Fucking Christ.
Yeah, Shirou should have had his DNA and body count as a catalyst for summoning archer. Rin got lucky some of Shirou's semen was on that pendant when she performed her summoning before Shirou had a chance to.
A complete amateur wouldn't be able to win enough against more experienced players in a single afternoon.
What level of plot bullshit would be required for Shirou to beat Alexander ?
What if Lancer never spotted Shirou in the prologue? What would have happened to Archer?
UBW inside of IH, does it work?
reality marbles can't mix
it would take too much mana and too long
Archer would murder Shirou the moment he's summoned, you know.
Several swords to each servant in IH. Fuck he could probably trace IH or some bullshit like that.
Shirou would have been stabbed in the heart either way. Young Shirou or ghost Shirou, take your pick.
UBW > Hetairoi
though no idea how you deploy a Marble inside a Marble
>Here I come, King of Conquerors. Do you have enough soldiers in stock?
>Shirou summons Shirou while escaping Lancer. Shirou helps Lancer kill Shirou while Shirou laughs and Shirou cries.
You can't. One Reality Marble would crush the other.
>Unlimited Golem Works
So which one wins?
Probably the first. Overriding somebody else's innerworld, then the world's defined self would probably be too much.
I disagree about it being dry, but sure, there is nothing wrong with wanting more.,
Though onsidering it had the meeting where she got the key from both perspectives and the things leading up to it, it was fairly meaty, especially compared to the other heroines (no offense to Rin, but when she saw the same high jump, got a crush, and never talked to the guy again it is seemingly unrealistic for somethng that she claimed affected her so deeply). Seeing it from different points of view showed more abouttheir relationship.
Plus ther was the talk of the high jump between Shirou and Sakura that sounded more real if I had to describe it.
What happens when Shirou and Archer use UBW?
Why don't they crush each other?
Was he as much of a tactical expert as Kerry and did he actually set up that cocaine IV drip?
Projection totally would, but aside from Fate/Extra, which already takes liberties with several things for the sake of game mechanics (Rho Aius blocking melee Gae Bolg, for example), somebody activating a Reality Marble inside of another Reality Marble overwrites the first one. Even if they're the same Reality Marble.
Then again, Playable Archer's and CCC Bonus Boss Archer's respective UBWs don't power up each other's skills, when in the VN Shirou clearly manages to pull out a few swords from Archer's UBW when he uses it in the Church basement.
The stronger RM wins out.
Pretty sure that would be IH. IH is formed from the unified collection of the hopes and dreams of all Rider's soldiers, whereas UBW is just about Shirou living his life as a sword
Rider's. It's the power of not just Rider, but his entire army. Emiya's personal reality alone wouldn't be able to overwhelm that. It's an issue of numbers.
How many times have you watched this scene today, /a/? My day just doesn't start without a dose of Saber suffering.
It's hard to say. They're fundamentally the same world. It's possible that something really interesting might happen if they were to clash.
Pls anon have mercy, don't remind me
>They're fundamentally the same world
They are so fucking different that Archer's UBW kills Shirou, literally, in HF
Isn't that mainly because a human body can't handle Servant-level magic being pumped through him. The same principle as Shirou's nerves being seared when he uses projection, but more so.
Shirou's ideals make a 180 in HF tho, that's the main reason for the incompatibility and his inability to deploy UBW.
That's because HF Shirou's inner world is no longer the same as Archer's inner world. Their ideals are too different at that point.
Shirou does pull swords out of Archer's UBW in UBW route, remember. In the church basement.
And by that point in HF, Shirou has undergone some pretty fundamental changes to his thought process and ideals. He's no longer a Hero of Justice, he's Sakura's knight.
How is it not dry when you barely know of their interactions early? The whole route lacked from that perspective which is why you felt like saving her wasn't worth a damn, because she was just there the whole time and you were suppose to love her out of nowhere.
>He's no longer a Hero of Justice, he's Sakura's knight.
This is why HF is shit
No. His body gets crunched by the servant he has attached to him. But UBW reinforces it. Then decides that it's not compatible with him, and begins turning him to swords. The quote from 9 bullet revolver is "UBW isn't usable. Archer's world and mine are totally different."
Mind of Steel shitter detected.
It's not like he had a choice. It was either that or become a Kerry-tier fuckup.
Or still try and save everyone, Illya's route.
>He's no longer a Hero of Justice, he's Sakura's knight.
I wonder what his RM would look like. I doubt it would look so desolate, maybe it'd have Sakura trees with swords stuck through them or some shit.
It's nice to have dreams.
Would probably be the most desolate looking one. Broken in half and the gears destroyed.
tfw you summon GladOS
It'd just be the living room and kitchen of his house, except all the cooking utensils are swords.
At the time, I imagine it would be in fairly heavy disarray. His values and belief systems were utterly shattered in such a very short period of time. Even if Shirou himself had no regrets about his decision, a game changer like that isn't going going to be completely painless. It would have taken some time for his inner world to be mended completely.
Zero Lancer vs. Caster. Who would win?
Deermud is shit so Caster wins
>Lancer kills himself
This ain't even a fight.
Medea just needs to float out of his reach and spam more lasers than a fucking 2hu.
Diarmuid's Magic Resistance of B would be a fairly hefty wall for Caster to get past. The reason Casters are considered to be among the weaker Servants is because nearly everything in the Holy Grail War has Magic Resistance.
However, I think Caster would be a rather difficult opponent for Diarmuid to fight as well.
If Medea has Assassin's support, then I imagine Lancer would stand no chance at all.
The gears would be on the ground rusted same with the swords and a huge Sakura tree grows in it's center the sky blue and clear.
What if Kiritsugu had summoned an Assassin or Caster, or for that matter, literally anyone whose "style" was more in line with his own than saber was?
He would have lost because Caster and Assassin suck.
Jokes aside, I don't think he could get along with the likes of Caster. He was an utilitarian asshole but even so he was someone who loved humanity, he wouldn't allow him to kill people indiscriminately
