>[HorribleSubs] Akatsuki no Yona - 02 [720p].mkv
Please don't cut your hair
She's still a cutie, but long hair is better ;_;
It's Korea time
Looks better. When does she cut her hair?
short hair > long hair
>When does she cut her hair?
When the character development kicks in.
7/10, shoujo of the year. Not that there was any real competition.
Reminds me a lot of Fushigi Yuugi.
I like it.
So, how long until Yona stops being a pansy?
>shoujo of the year
Pfffhahahaha, I can't believe you people eat this shit up.
I really hope she use the gahara voice.
Why are they so violent? Poor soldiers are only following orders and Hak is just mercilessly cutting them down.
I still want to fuck Soo Won.
Episode 5, the CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT episode.
Would you want him to make you his sex slave?
No, I'd prefer to make him my sex slave and dress him up like a cute little girl.
the action is OK for pierrot produced shoujo shit
That last fight scene felt like a musou game.
I didn't recognize her. By god is there a more flexible seiyuu out there.
This is looking pretty damn good. Hak's spear fighting reminds me of Seirei no Moribito. Do these people actually have magic powers though?
She's probably got the most range out of all the current big-name seiyuu.
Finally getting some action after 2eps of flashback.
Waiting for FFF. It's going to be a long wait.
I like this. Got that weird DW "super-general-destroying-armies" feeling
>She's probably got the most range out of all the current big-name seiyuu.
>not Aoi Yuuki
Sure. Love her nonetheless
At least it's not a funi rip.
Good episode, I hope they stay good all the way through.
>Do these people actually have magic powers though?
There are zombies.
I love Y. Aoi but when it comes to range Chiwa is better - or at least gets to show it off to a greater extent.
How quick will she assemble her harem?
Well, then how quick will she assemble her rpg party?
I'd say 1-2 more episodes. We saw a bit of them at the end.
No arc, It will probably be one or even half of an episode of her training after they get the party together. They already showed her able to fight.
It was a flashforward, episode 3 preview shows that we're going to see her entire journey.
>We saw a bit of them at the end.
Yona was so badass compared to her current self it felt like a skip to the end of the first half of the anime.
You never watched Tsukuyomi Moon Phase, Pani Poni Dash, Sasami or similar shows? Because she sounds absolutely identical in all of them. While she has a big range, she seems to have only one default bratty little girl voice which she uses for a lot of characters.
How does a preview show we will see the entire thing?
It's pretty accurate; Yona is a cheat that leaves the fodder Musou armies to her Haremvengers and then snipes the commander boss from distance. Happened twice in the manga.
Because the preview is for manga chapters 3-4.
That's not cheat, that's tactics.
It looks like a Haku episode with flashbacks to their childhood. Would it really make sense to just skip the whole journey?
Didn't say it would skip the journey, just the training wouldn't be drawn out onto an arc.
He is just following his order.
Not only that but he is following the orders of the king, the rest are following the orders of a traitor making them traitors.
They are traitors.
Do they reveal why King Il killed Soo Won's father in the manga?
If you were a king, especially a peaceful one, would you want a brother who's extremely popular with the military hanging around?
It took her about 10 manga volumes.
when he seems to be loyal to the family/kingdom and only wants to do his part? yeah, why not?
I'm gonna guess either he didn't really kill him or the guy was obsessed with war and he was forced to kill him to stop him from attacking someone and starting a war.
I'd imagine he was more worried about him usurping the throne.
But he didn't care about the throne. He wanted to be a solider.
When she needs to save her life because villain holds her by hair.
Soo Won a shit.
But he's pretty.
He'll get his shit kicked in soon I hope
Have there been any discussions of this show and the Korean names in 2ch, nico, and the like? Are otakus super racist gook haters as would be the common perception?
Shoujo fans probably don't care as much.
That one's MC was shit. I even forgot her name, must have been a conscious effort on my younger part to erase that slut out of my mind.
Shoujos are in love Koreans, so of course not. I want to know if this show is causing a shitstorm outside of the base though. Or at least some kind of adamant refusal by otakus to even watch it.
2ch threads about the first episode have been overflowing with hate against it, nico apparently too but I never checked it.
This is shit
It is completely rehash
This is shit
Am I the only one enjoying this? I'm getting Seirei no Moribito / 12 kingdoms vibes from this.
It's good so far.
It's filled with howsitcalled anti-Koran slurs. Twitter and shoujo fans like it.
There is heavy tension between their country and fellow countries; Soo's father was ready for a war but Yona's father wasn't willing. The loli princess from said country becomes a main character later on. Yes, that's a girl.
Looks like a qt.
The fucking girl made me mad for the entire ep.1, but the second one was okay.
The general Lancer deserves better though. Hope to see other girl worth of him.
dat OP and ED!
holy shit got goose bumps at the end of ep 2!
Man, shoujo manga adaptation sure are unpopular on /a/
This was pretty fun.
OST reminds me of kung fu hustle. Does anyone know any similar songs?
but is there yuri?
I am just going to pretend it's not Shoujo and continue watching it. Seems pretty good so far, but damn it's unpopular
It's just not controversial enough.
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji threads get hundreds of replies
lots of those are trolling/shitposting though
wait I just noticed you said because it's controvertial
forgive me I'm quite tired
The violence level seems awfully low (and inconsistent, with blood splatter for killing the king and some other things and then zero blood for the rest) for all the killing going on and the big violence themes with the "no weapons, guys!" king.
The ending of the episode also makes it seem pretty superpowered... not that it's that bad, but meh. I was expecting a bit less magic after Ep1.
Dropped before I even started.
Hak made me want to play dynasty warriors.
pretty sure they are superpowered, I mean, look at this nigga's hand.
Why only the "not preview previews" blood flying around?
Yeah, and the guy floating in midair and flying before that. Ep1 and most of Ep2 prior to that seemed a little more grounded, that's all.
No, so leave.
Is he okay?
No, RIP gay bro ;_;
that's a very nice hand
At least he got to be the cute princess for a few seconds ;_;
DO NOT PURSUE LU BU
Best moment of his life.
I liked this episode better than the first one which didn't really pull me in.
Putting this big flashforward at the end was a little strange though but I guess it's there to hype the manga readers.
Shoujo mangaka tends to be way less heavy handed on the bloody/gore aspect in their action/adventure series. Or they depict it differently.
Some editors may also ask them to limit it so they don't lose part of their readers.
Also the last.
It's better to go out doing something you enjoy.
So I am one of the 3 persons interested on a show again.
There's more then 3 of us. I hope.
We both know that's not true, anon.
Nah, we got to 100 replies, that means something. R-right?
It has its upsides, threads are pretty chill
I posted about 75 replies.
I did like that Hak didn't make any bones about slicing through the guards though. There wasn't any hand wringing or magically knocking all the dudes out here, desperate situation and he fought accordingly.
We're probably 4
Soo did nothing Wong.
You can make that number 5 bros (sis's?)
Of course like most shows I'll probably stop watching about halfway through the season so dont' get too used to me
6, then, though I'm not liable to post much.
>200 chapters later
>His father was actually after all a jealous faggot, or just a massive warmonger so the nice king had to get rid of himself. Or adviser was the bad guy all along. Blonde cries and is forgiven and wins the princess anyway.
Would you just fucking love it? I hope that even if he gets a moments of enlightenment, someone from the princes' harem still just goes ahead and kills him.
>Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji
That poor show triggers the autism of some of the worst posters on /a/.
7 seems like a good number.
Number 7 reporting.
I think I'm gay for Hak.
It's the love life that the people that watch it never had, but want, even though they come here and shit up the place to pretend they don't.
I guess I'm number 8 because >>115292765
Yeah, that's one of the few shows this season that I'm just going to completely avoid the threads of.
Stop counting faggots.
Come on, anon, it's still too soon. Didn't you saw the 10 episode in the future preview? You will have others bishounen characters to choose from later. The shota will surely be loved a lot for example. He even has some magic protection just to protect the princess. And a fang even.
Give it another two weeks and the threads might calm down a bit.
Also the mods seem to be pretty active in them, feels like almost every second post in this thread got deleted: http://archive.moe/a/thread/115244079/#115244079
I'm only watching because MC is cutie + Saito Chiwa
I don't believe you.
Shut up Woo, you dick.
From the the first episode I thought it was gonna be a lackluster adaptation, but this episode, hot damn.
So what's the point of watching this if we already know Soo won?
Har har, anon.
I find it sad that shoujo anime/manga nowadays needs to have rape, sex, NTR and drama in order to sell and be successful
Please keep bullshit like this out of Yona threads.
I hate to admit, but i usually like fujoshit/reverse harem series.
that term again
theres also absolutely nothing fujoishi related in this show
>Stop liking what I dont like!
There's always those people who think more then one guy=fujo/reverse harem and more then one girl=harem.
Yona is reverse-harem-ish, but most (if not all of the romance) is pretty much just Hak.
Does this actually happen? Because it'd be the shittest ending if it happened
Why do i have the nagging feeling that the creepy advisor guy, or those he's working with arranged the entire thing, including having soo wong's father killed.
Do Yona and Hak fuck or kiss?
Nope. But the story gets more political and they even introduce the loli princeess from a neighboring kingdom.
No you retard.
"harem" is not a gender-specific term.
1 guy - Several girls: Harem
1 girl - Several guys: Also a harem
1 girl - Mix of several guys and girls: Still a damn harem.
"Reverse harem" would just mean a monogamous relationship.
The term (and people constantly using it wrong) is more annoying than reverse-trap and almost as annoying as reverse-rape.
It's not a harem, it's a shoujo love triangle. Harem is a genre not just one gender out numbers the MC's gender.
You're right but a huge faggot at the same time.
It's got some harem elements.
this is soo won in so many levels
Like what? There's none other then more then one guy is a main character.
Did my post at all pertain to whether or not this particular show was a harem? Cause I'm pretty sure I made it very clear by using the word "term" repeatedly that I'm talking about what people consider the term to mean, not about this particular show.
You're probably going to claim that I did say this show was a harem just because I said
>1 girl - Several guys: Also a harem
In which case I'll tell you that you're a retard and anyone with a functioning brain should be able to tell that it was obvious referring to situations where the single party is romantically involved in some way with all or most of the people in the group.
But of course I should know people on 4chan just love to point out obvious details that weren't included in a post so they can jump on it for the sake of making smartass comments.
>1 girl - Several guys: SLUT
You're arguing against a wall. Stop getting so worked up over something nobody cares about.
>lmao u mad
hiding behind the "lol I don't even care you're the only one who cares here clearly your entire life revolves around this argument while I just don't even care" excuse doesn't magically make you right or even look right in anyones eyes besides maybe your own
Terms like that are not made to be 100 percent correct, they are made in order to help you differentiate things, make things easier to look up.
It's the same reason we have things like "femdom" even though you could just call it dommination or BDSM.
You are not half as smart as you think, anon.
>it was obvious referring to situations where the single party is romantically involved in some way with all or most of the people in the group.
But that wasn't obvious, you did not clarify and used vague descriptions without applying it to anything specifically.
Okay, this was pretty cool.
Is he going to vanguard the princess in battle while she's shouting warcries? I like this more than I should.
Well, I like this one and KimiUso (however you want to shorten that one) a lot so far anyway.
Wait, her hair is going to get cut? Is it even worth watching?
She has to cut her hair for character development.
"female harem" is just as short to type out as "reverse harem" and distinguishes it from the more common male-oriented harem without changing the meaning of the word "harem' itself. why don't people use that then.
rhetorical question of course, it's because the majority of people don't just use it to differentiate things and genuinely do misunderstand the definitions of words, because they're constantly seeing other people around them use the worlds wrong too and don't know any better
does it grow back?
She's cute both ways so who cares? It's only a problem when it makes them look worse.
If you were to ask "what color is the MCs hair"
and I told you "the color of a rose"
would you sperg out and me for saying her hair is green, or be able to infer that I'm obviously talking about the iconic color of the petals?
you do have an inferring ability (no matter how deep down in your brain it may be buried), try to use it instead of just getting confused by every post that doesn't' meticulously clarify every tiny detail of its content for you
Has nothing to do with my comment. In your example you were specific, in your previous comment you were not.
Yona is different from recent reverse-harems because it's more about the girl than about the guys; it's not an otome-game about romance, it's a shoujo manga about an spoiled princess growing into a proper queen and that's the main story. It has more training arcs about Yona learning to use the bow and the sword than "romcom" antics.
1 girl (ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED WITH MULTIPLE MALES) = Harem
>knowing what you're talking about
Where do you think we are? There's one girl and a bunch of guys. It's a reverse harem. Threads will forever be about "who will win the Yonabowl" if they even happen at all.
you faggots are doing this on purpose
No they won't, it's not harem and we know who will win. The only love interest left from the love triangle.
Well, I don't usually have conversations accidentally, so yeah.
They should be more popular considering everyone here wants to be a little girl.
That ending song sounds really familiar but I can't tell what it reminds me of.
By that logic Love Hina is not a harem.
are you also doing this on purpose
