I guess I'm a few days behind schedule here, but what did people think of this? I thought it was a pretty good first episode. Seems like the subject matter is right /a/'s alley.
Animation wasn't great, but it almost just sort of adds to the charm given the topic at hand. Characters were interesting and the driving scene I thought was pretty cool too. Looking forward to more.
This show helped to cure my insomnia
I thought it was great. The characters are already pretty well developed for a first episode but there's still a lot of room for more. I like how the setting is played straight instead of for laughs (although either would be fine, the latter is more predictable and would end up being boring I think).
Yes, well, it's not exactly a fast-paced sort of anime. It's just a SoL about a girl who loves anime and got a job at a second-rate animation studio.
I want to have sweaty couch sex with grown-up Miuna.
Yes, I thought the same thing. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't go that route and shove a bunch of jokes in that people would just complain weren't funny. I also enjoyed the soundtrack with her singing along to her cartoon idols while driving like a maniac as well as the OP.
I'm super interested in whatshername with the huge gazongas.
Literally a 10/10 girl. No objections.
They should've made the main girls look older.
They look like middleschoolers here.
I liked it. Kinda reminded me of Genshiken.
Have to agree. It's so cliche to pick the main girl as the best girl and I do it so often, but I'm probably going to do it again in this case. The way she's such a fanatic and really loves her work is adorable.
It was boring
Yeah, that ending did a good job of catching my attention too. My first thought before she opened the door was "oh shit, overworked animator commited suicide." Looks like she just collapsed though.
It really was a pretty solid first episode, but I do think the animation seemed a little sloppy at times. Especially when they were literally talking about the things that seemed sloppy. Maybe it was intentional. Like the mouth flaps seemed sort of off when they were talking about how trying to do dubbing without the keyframes being done yet will make everything off.
I just noticed that orange haired guy is nowhere to be found.
He commits sudoku in episode 3 for being such an unreliable faggot, so he didn't make it into the OP.
The only unreliable faggot is this guy.
Wait who's orange hair guy then? I thought that's who you meant.
Are you color blind? holy shit.
Well bah humbug to you too!
He meant the pretty guy who's a potential love interest.
Good character line up.
Miyamori Aoi, local speed demon.
Main girl is cute and I want donuts
So did only 2 of them achieve their dream then?
Spot the virgin(s).
Probably in different studios.
None of them. All the guys have used hookers at least once.
Gotta get that reference material.
It's kind of refreshing to have a show with an all adult cast, especially an SoL. So many of these shows are about girls in high school. I guess this one was too for a couple minutes.
Indeed, the best.
Has a licence, and the need for sensible speed.
Can discuss boobs with and not get angry.
When will the other three girls come in? Are they on a different studio?
One is a seiyuu and one is a writer.
They don't work in a studio.
The other girl probably works in a studio specialized in CG.
*They don't work in an animation studio
Fight me, man of excellent taste.
Righto, cunt. Meet me in the staff parking lot in 30 minutes.
>the fat guy confidently grabbing and wiggling his fat shield
I'll be there, loser also shouts.
Why are all PA works shows paced to appeal to snails?
I'll be there, loser also shouts.
they had to introduce 50 characters. and we still got some development of MC girl. and you got a damn drag race.
I like how the explained the 3 episode rule and how they showed the staff checking the twitter trends.
Sounds like more donuts for me then. I'll be sure to share them with Oi-chan.
She doesn't know who you are, anon.
You don't live in the 2D world.
Why hasn't anyone fired Tarou yet?
The team will bring me into it. I'm tellin' ya, episode 14 is my time in the spotlight.
Well, if that really happens then I'll be rooting for you to win Oi-chan's heart over the bust key frames artist, anon.
I want to use her pig tails as handle bars.
Her hope and dreams: Gone.
The pacing was okay. Try watching Girlfriend Beta if you want to fall into a coma.
24 minute donut commercial, someone must be funding them in secret.
My favourite first episode of the season, interesting in subject matter and amusing in execution. Hopefully they keep it up and it doesn't turn to shit like the majority of shows from PA Works. It shouldn't given the staff is entirely different but still.
Three of them graduated before the other two.
Those two are probably still in college or something.
And the VA girl is doing VA work and the MC opted to not go into the VA studio in the first episode. I presume VA girl will appear next episode.
No, one's a writer, the other's a 3D modeller and the last is a voice actor. They wouldn't be working at an animation studio.
That said, Oi-chan is the best, just the best.
Wouldn't at least writers work at an animation studio?
No, they'll work for whoever contracts them.
Sssh, we can't let the humans know.
Fight, G-colle or Exodus?
I don't look forward to anime. That just spoils it and raises falls expectations.
I watch them as they come and hope to enjoy the ride.
I do the same.
I thought the love interest was the guy in the GI car, who's also the rival.
He's the eternal rival for a free parking spot.
The love interest is the busty key frames artist.
According to this >>115264749 she is the animation supervisor. Do I forget that she is also the key frames artist or what?
Yes, you did.
Did her drawing not give enough of a hint?
Every animation supervisor is a also key animator.
I mostly forget what she did to be honest. I don't remember her drawing, so no it didn't give enough of a hint. Oh well.
I see, that makes sense. I am not knowledgeable on the subject.
Oh it gave plenty of a hint.
You just seem a little slow.
I might've been tired at the time, anon. Things often go over my head when I am.
Does everybody in Japan drive like it's a Fast and Furious movie?
>drifting along a road
>close your eyes to sing-along with the song on the radio
Does she want to die?
They watched too much Initial D.
I want to fuck General Manager-chan
As a terrible, drop out animation student this series really takes me back and reminds me what my goal was. Goddamn it I'm a fucking faggot.
I liked it and will probably watch the entire thing, at this point I feel like I must.
I was confused because it looks like one of them is an animator at the same studio but they didn't say anything.
This show is fucking BORING. NOTHING happens. All the characters have one dimension to them. In fact, there's way too many characters and yet they decided to give equal screen time to all of them so you wind up with a terrible dialogue of shallow shit.
I didn't think a show could be as bad as Glasslip but apparently I was wrong.
She's the loveliest. Her hairstyle covering her eye alone makes my heart race. Also, her straight-laced, no-nonsense attitude.
She's a beauty, yes.
I want to flirt with her casually, then ask her out, and escalate our relationship when we go to her house and find out it's full of S&M equipment but by then it's too late and she tazers me from behind.
I wanted to pick this up until PA Works' train wreck of Glasslip last season. Fuck, those people are useless
