Mages treats you like shit, and you die to protect them ?
You have robots, military expertise, magic don't work with you, and don't seems to be this awesome. ( the queen died with shoot, couldn't she make a magic shield ?)
wait a dragon attack >> take the fleet run >> make you country >> let they deal with the dragons without weapons.
why not ?
I've always been suspicious of these "magic doesn't work on me" special abilities.
If I can't burn you by magic, I'll just magically accelerate a few 10^22 electrons and roast you anyway.
How is Touma immune to that anyway? He isn't immune against magically accelerated steel beams.
Meant to bump with that.
In NT both Ollerus and Othinus refer to Imagine Breaker as something that reverts the world to its original form rather than mere negation. For example even if something or somebody distorted the world to make 1+1=3 or some other crazy shit Imagine Breaker would still make 1+1=2.
You didn't explain the difference between electrons and steel beams.
As seen in the class room scene, they are already indoctrinated in their childhood.
Ange has no reason to be there, though. She is going to die one way or another, and yet she continues to exist and suffer because she is too afraid to die.
For all we know if they fly outside a specific border the mechas fry their brain out or something equally cute.
They still can shoot you with bullets not made of magic.
Also you need supplies for your robot and other tech unless you want to live like hermit in a cave.
You died too soon
Magic doesn't work on you? Coco would disagree.
And you can just go and make country. At least you need some free land, of which there is none. And even if you could get some, then you need some means to protect it. Weapons, ammunition and equipment in Arzenal don't grow on trees, but supplied by those very "magic countries" you want to run away/defend from.
I doubt Ange would have made it back to the Empire on her own. She would have crashed and drowned in the ocean. I'm sure they keep Normas far away from society and that's why the people are so clueless on what happens to Normas or know the existence of dragons.
the mechs also have remote detonators to prevent them from escaping
