Can Shirou be really killed?
He has avalon inside. By the legends it wouldn't be possible to kill him.
it's useless without Saber around
He died almost 40 times
Without a contract with Seibah no.
The sheathe doesn't work without Saber's presence and connection to charge it. Also Gae Bolg greatly hinders healing to the point where Rin basically have to recreate the Heart.
Did she really make him a new heart? If so why couldn't she make a new heart for Illya?
because illya isn't human
Or maybe Rin thought she healed him, but in fact all she did had no effect, and it was all done by Avalon.
But when Kiritsugu saved Shirou, Saber wasn't around too.
Care to explain?
She was surprised as to why he was still alive and hanging on that was probably Avalon weakly helping him.
It still heals but it's very weak, it just doesn't compare.
The sheathe is somewhat like a battery, also it barely have enough energy to save Shirou, the rest of the healing have to be done by the hospital.
So let me get this straight. When gay bulge is activated, there is an initial thrust at the heart. If that misses, it turns back time and makes sure it hits the second time? And Saber managed to parry this?
It's explained at the time, there was still just enough prana in it to save one kid at the time, since she just disappeared minutes ago at that point.
After it healed his wound as a last act, it went innert.
If you think he's unkillable all the time, then no he isn't.
Did the nips love Inception?
Then why did kerry implant Avalon inside Shirou? Checkmate atheists.
No, not even close
So if Sakura had avalon, then she would be unkillable?
Yes, it could even be used to save her from Zouken heartworm.
I dropped this after the first episode. Yes I skipped through most of it, up to the fight with lancer.
Like his X-man pose when Archer came at him for the first time seriously but the sudden shiphorns pissed me the fuck off and ruined my passion of anime for of late.
Luckily there is Space Dandy to make up for the next two seasons.
No; next two years.
Even if it is absolute shit, Space Dandy vindicates the arts and animation profession.
Someone at TM or Ufotable must have liked Chris Nolan, there's the batcave, and that one TM April fool with the fake twitter with Rider talking with Archer about the batmotorcycle and whether it comes with Morgan Freeman.
Anyone find it stupid how he uses EA as a sword?
Imagine the unlimited worm rape, s odelicious
i love the sound of Lancer's spear here
Cause and effect is reversed, yadda yadda. Basically the endpoint of the lance is put through Saber's heart and the rest of the lance fills in the space in between, making the lance pierce her through the heart no matter what.
Shit no wonder, it's going to be filled with BWOONGS isn't it.
so how did she change it's trajectory?
This bothered me too. It should be used too pump out Call of duty
You're a miserable piece of shit with ADHD.
Go watch your Kill La Kill again.
Luck. No, really.
Is this the new meme?
Luck, I think. I didn't read the VN
You responded to bait. Fuck off.
Well it's supposed to be metallic right? Makes sense.
I thought the music when this scene happened was straight out of Inception.
It can pierce flesh liek butter tho, and you can twist it and grind the body afterwards, nice.
Read the VN
Luck is the stat that allows for small miracles, and denies absolutes on the small scale.
No it's not a perfect stat at all, but it is the mark of a hero. Luck is the ability to overcome an absolute fate.
Luck B + Instinct A in tandem function like plot armor in this scenario.
Ah, CFF, Where's that one webm with Bazett killing Gil via Fragarach when he revs up EE, I'm sure I had it somewhere.
UFO seems to have a hard on for it.
Only luck plays a role, once the die has been cast it doesn't matter how you instinctively wiggle out of the way, because the result is there before the action.
Doesn't matter at all how you wiggle out of the way after he's called out the name really, since whatever result is created is already created.
Like others are saying, it's mainly luck. And I think Saber has a battle passive that lets her have godly intuition. She kinda understand what was happening and had a minor ability to react to it.
> Bazett killing Gil via Fragarach when he revs up EE
This reminds me, ho would Fragarach fare against Gae Bolg?
Also if you try to wiggle out of the way before he calls out the name, that doesn't matter worth shit either as long as you're still within range at the time.
Whether she wiggles before or after, the result is just there the same.
Fragarach has fired off before the spear is thrust, killing Lancer. But the spear being thrust is only the second part to Gae Bolg. It's already pierced her heart.
It can only be a double kill, because they both reverse shit until they both hit.
Frag cancels out the throw but Gae still hits afterwards, both users die.
Read F/H A. It's all there.
Could Fragarach kill Gil?
I don't think Luck at a B rank is that uncommon, otherwise Gay Bulge would be fairly worthless if that was the only thing stopping it.
Berserker and Caster has Luck B, Gilgamesh has Luck A, hell even Kojiro has Luck A.
If he started winding up Ea, yeah probably.
Lancer's gaybulge is so goddamn stupid
>Reality warping instant kill technique that can't be dodged
>Never works on anybody in or out of the story
It would only trigger off Ea's Enuma Elish, and there's no way he'd bother using such a thing on Bazett. In theory though, yes.
Yes, if he will use EA. Forcing him to use it on a mere human on the other hand is plain impossible.
The effect is triggered when your enemy uses their most powerful attack.
So yes. But you'd have to somehow get him to use Ea.
Did you even read UBW?
Could Cu get him to use it?
It kills Bazett just fine.
It worked on Bazett!
Yes I did.
With Bazette backing him yes. Gil went some 14 hours or something like that against Lancer. Lancer can't be touched by projectiles that he can see. And Lancer/Bazette would of been way too much for Gil to handle in melee combat. So Enkidu would of been the only defense he had, and that shit wouldn't work well on Bazette.
God, Ea is such fucking bullshit.
It's always struck me that these read like character sheets in a DnD-like tabletop game. Especially when they talk about shit like "reducing max HP"
>elimination rank AC
The strongest NP of the strongest Servant does that. Can Shiki kill servants? Possibly. But not Gil.
No, Fragarach can be used against non-trump cards but it loses a ton of potency, becoming something of a C or D NP at best. And since Bazett have only a limited amount of ammo and relies on the counter to be fatal, she typically only use it against trump cards.
You need a giant robot to stop it
Anti-Castle Noble Phantasm I assume
My bad for being tired after being up for 20~ hours.
Then you should know Shirou forced him to use Ea. Twice.
>>I don't think Luck at a B rank is that uncommon, otherwise Gay Bulge would be fairly worthless if that was the only thing stopping it.
Play Extra to get how it works(In before not canon blah blah or something), because the mechanics for how the spear works there are down solid enough.
B rank gives you a good enough chance to survive, but it could still kill you entirely depending on what you roll that turn. You might be able to survive it with even E rank luck, but it's maybe a one in twenty chance of making that luck roll correctly that turn, and is not worth the risk.
With B rank you have a decent shot, but far from an absolute shot. With A rank you have a pretty good shot all around at making it. With C rank you could make it. With each level of luck it's all about how much of a chance you have on the dice roll of getting it right, with it nearly impossible at the lower levels, and likely enough at the higher levels.
B rank luck is pretty good, you really don't understand if you think "You absolutely need A rank luck to survive, and nothing under that will survive ever". However any servant would have to be pretty foolish to ever take a chance with this NP to begin with, and he can just keep using it even if he missed another six times.
It's all a roll of the dice, and Fate Extra conveyed this well enough as random damage based upon how much luck you had. Even with decent luck you could still be one-shot if you completely fucked up your roll, and even with low luck you could barely barely survive if you got very lucky ironically, although it chances are you won't survive with low luck and you'd be a fool to chance that shit since it's likely to take more than double your HP if you're still E rank.
Her B rank luck allowed her to survive, but it was not a perfect defense, as all it did was deny a critical hit, as she still took damage. B rank luck is enough here, the danger of his lance isn't "Will surely kill anyone under A rank luck".
No. If you cut off her head, she'd probably die. Even Avalon isn't infallible. Shirou has plenty of Dead Ends even with Avalon in him with his contract with Saber intact.
That makes sense.
Can it brute force past fragarach?
The first time he used it, it was only on a whim, and even then, it was far from full power.
The second time, it was in UBW, where Shirou had a clear advantage.
Or "failing STR check". He's obviously fa/tg/uy.
Because Illya's heart is the grail, which means Rin is completely inadequate to remake it, maybe if all the Mage families were there at the same time.
No, Gil gets his heart blown out before EE goes off. Read F/HA to understand how her weapon works.
Rather there's some big danger in how little mana this thing costs, he can just keep using it, and the damage on how likely it is to kill you will scale depending on how much luck you have. In terms of killing it is one of the most efficient NP's out there, it will surely strike through anyone unless they have some special defense against it like Herc.
Woah there since when did fucking F/Z get servant sheets?
Is this in the LN or something?
That changes nothing though.
>Forcing him to use it on a mere human on the other hand is plain impossible.
It contradicts this.
Couldn't she just remake her heart without the grail aspect I mean is not like it needs to be a grail heart to work does it.
>Implying Rin couldn't create a Holy Grail easily
Ah, that makes sense then. Thank you.
I wonder why it's acceptable to be a F/Z secondary, but not a F/SN secondary. It's really funny to see all the hypocrites.
The dropbox guy uploaded 'em.
But since I'm a massive faggot I'll indulge secondaries.
Fragarach's damage scales with the enemy's attack. It's a purely counter-attack based weapon.
Mere moments before the enemies attack goes off, we're talking .000000000000000000001^100 of a second before it goes off, it checks the power, and buffs itself accordingly. Then it fires.
It reaches the target and kills them before their attack is activated. As in it travels back through time if it has to. EE has the capacity of rending the world asunder. Fragarach would get a nasty buff from that.
>will surely strike through anyone unless they have some special defense against it
PROBLEM: everyone can bullshit their way out of it
No, I understand. I was just checking to make sure Gil didn't have a countermeasure to it.
>Protection of the Fairies
Lancelot grabs Gae Bolg in mid flight, and rams it up Cu's ass.
How did Archer blocked it with Rho Aias?
Why not just replace it with part of the Jewel Sword?
He blocked the thrown version, which is a separate NP from the causality-warping one.
He might, probably does. But unless it's something Rho Aeis class of ranged defense, that shit is going to hurt.
I thought the reapers had shown up.
Lancer used the thrown variant, which isn't an auto-hit.
Grail War's are just cheating competitions, to see who can bullshit the best invincibility or sure hit attack.
Lancer made a good effort for the first run.
Ranged version of Gae Bolg isn't a 1 shot. It's just a hand thrown nuke.
Bazette would never be able to push him that far. The first time Gil used Ea on Shirou, he only did so to show off that there's at least one sword that Shirou could never replicate. He wouldn't have that same inclination towards Shirou.
The second time was because of Unlimited Blade Works, which puts Gil at a disadvantage. Thus, he drew his greatest trump card, but it was too little too late.
It's not possible for Bazette to do that same thing. Without a trump card to counter, Fragarach is just a C-rank Noble Phantasm. Gil wouldn't need to even bother against a Noble Phantasm that feeble. That just leaves hand-to-hand combat. And unfortunately for Bazett, the idea of her even scratching the paintjob on Gil's armor is ludicrous, even with Strengthening. If Saber can't scratch that armor, then Bazett sure as hell can't. Even if he doesn't deign to use his armor, he has an infinite number of ways to counter anything Bazett throws at her. To begin with, he could easily kill her just by shooting a couple dozen swords at her. Not even Strengthening thaumaturgy can counter an actual Noble Phantasm.
Yes but where does this come from?
What's the source? F/Z is only LN and anime right?
Too expensive a potato is better.
Fate/Zero Material Books.
Why the fuck are all of the servant's stat cards written like it was meant to be a tabletop?
>Max Targets: 1
>Max of 30 turns
Because Nasu loves writing tabletop games.
Because it's more Chuuni that way
That's the point
I want to watch this and be able to post about it as it airs, but I also want to read the VN and not be a filthy secondary, but I am also reading Grisaia so I am not just a filthy secondary in regards to Grisaia. I told myself I was going to finish them both this summer, but I didn't. Sort of regretting it now.
Nips like that kind of thing for some reason. That's pretty much it.
Maybe there were plans of ones in the works or some shit. Or its just there to help simplify all the bullshit powerlevels servants have.
This is how Fate should have ended.
No, Gae Bulge is amazing. The main problem with it is that Luck varies extremely heavily by the summoner, and Lancer got stuck with E-rank luck while having an instant-kill move that runs off luck calculations.
He basically got screwed over from the beginning.
Would lancer summoned in Ireland have B+ rank luck
Watch it and read the VN afterwards. There isn't a 'right' or 'wrong' way to get into this. As long as you are having fun, that's all that really matters.
Do you think the seravnts know what their stats are? Does Lancer know how useless his NP is, but still decides to try it just in case?
In Extra Rin always pumps up his luck using magic before he casts Gae Bulge.
Honestly weird no one thought of it before.
>Any luck in the land of ire
Luck is a weird stat in general. Apparently, it depends entirely on the personality of the summoner and not their power. Kirigitsu summoning Saber had really shitty luck but high everything else, while Shirou summoning her had high Luck and shitty everything else.
Shirou is pretty lucky in FSN
Nasu's shit is all bullshit. It's all filled with overpowered silly shit.
>As long as you are having fun
This is not /a/
I'm going to watch this season's UBW as my first dive into the Fate universe . Bad idea? Good idea? Keep in mind that i don't have a lot of interest in the VNs and i already know most of the spoilers . Honestly just doing it because the fight scenes look cool and Rin is pretty.
Because it took Rin's most valuable jewel that had been charged with 10 years worth of her mana to perform that feat
You'll be fine. Just don't ask questions in threads. Talk about what you like, etc. I still encourage you to read the VN. Download the Realta Nua version if you like cool scenes.
Probably not. It's extremely unlikely that Gilgamesh would bring out Ea against someone like Bazett. She's not a special case like Shirou, whom Gil has a strong innate dislike for. To Gil, Bazett would be no different from any other Magus of the modern era, so there would be no reason to ever go all out on her.
Unfortunately, in comparison to Servants, Bazett truly is not that strong. There's a huge gap between her and front line-type Servants, hence why she needs to rely on Fragarach and the defensive-oriented Avenger. The only way she could put up a fight against a Servant is by goading them into bringing out their trump card.
The problem is not all Servants have trump cards in the required sense, or they're not as easy to trick. For instance, Medea was specifically pointed out by Nasu as a Servant that Bazett would have no chance whatsoever against. Medea is entirely merciless towards mature women, so she'd blow her to pieces without a second thought. Furthermore, Medea's "trump card", Rule Breaker, is not the type of Noble Phantasm used for battle. Fragarach would be entirely useless against her. The only reason Rin was able to get the drop on her in UBW was because Medea underestimated her, and also found her amusing. Bazett wouldn't get such soft treatment.
Archer, too, would be an issue, since he's far too cautious to ever be fooled by Bazett's goading. He uses exactly as much force as necessary, and it's in his very nature to hide as many of his trump cards as possible. He'd be far more likely to snipe her from afar with normal arrows, or cut her down with just Kanshou and Bakuya. Rider also has a similar disposition.
Herakles is, of course, a completely different issue altogether.
In the Fifth War, I'd say that the only Servants Bazett could take down with her strategy are probably Saber and Assassin.
Shirou was still alive when Rin came. Illya died almost instantly.
Visual Novel would be preferred, but watching UFO UBW is better than starting with Zero.
>My special attack is anti-castle
>FUCK YOU I AM ANTI-PLANET
It's the best place to start right now. After that's done, check out Fate/Zero until Heaven's Feel comes out.
Fake one? He'll turn her into mincemeat.
Can true assassin beat Archer, Gil, Rider etc. via Zabaniya?
Anti-Planet doesn't mean it can blow up the planet, but rather it targets the planet.
So far that seems consistent, aside from Semi's flying castle. Ea can only show it's true power when it targets the world around them, not when it targets "one servant".
This is what Ea looks like if used correctly, but we've only seen it like twice.
Assassin's a funny one because he's more eager to use his trump card than any other Servant. If Bazett times her Answerer just right, she could potentially take him down pretty fast.
Incidentally, Cu Chulainn is a special case. He actually knows what Fragarach is and how it works. If he truly wanted to, he could simply beat Bazett without invoking his Noble Phantasm once. In fact, he probably wouldn't even need to use his spear in the first place. The only reason that whole double-suicide scenario happened was because he was just curious as to how a face-off between Gae Bolg and Fragarach would go.
LCK or MGI can dispel Zabaniya
How hard is it to understand that you should use this guy against the master rather than a servant?
Didn't he use it against Lacne-
Oh never mind.
So is Saber Joan of Arc?
> she could potentially take him down pretty fast.
I don't know about Apocryphia servants, but Sasaki was better then anyone else in swordsmanship. Bazett simply wouldn't be able to keep up with him.
I laughed harder at this than I should have.
>Q: Is there any way to defend against "Delusional Heartbeat: Zabaniya"?
>A: One can simply stay out of True Assassin’s range, have high enough MGI to dispel the cursed mirror image heart that Zabaniya creates, or have high enough Luck to avoid it without any problem.
Long ranged combat is Archer's specialty.
Gil is the epitome of luck.
Rider has a very decent MGI stat, so she has a strong chance as well.
My little anon can't possibly this dense
Saber is King Arthur
Ruler in Fate/Apocrypha is Joan of Arc.
>How hard is it to understand that you should use this guy against the master rather than a servant?
Quite. Because somehow literally no one has ever fucking tried it.
Kiritsugu would have cleaned up in the 4th war with Assasin, but noooooo, Einzberns had to pair their furtive Magekiller trumpcard with the entirely incompatible, frontline-offense oriented chivalrous Saber class.
Like I said, Assassin tends to be very eager to show off his trump card. If Bazett could somehow goad him into showing off Tsubame Gaeshi, then it's her win.
Ehhhhhh? But she's a girl!
Saber is Charlemagne
Let's discuss this
Illya a shit.
A Japanese teenager ejaculates in her mouth too.
She could still use Fragarach against nontrump cards, though losing a lot of potency.
False Assassin have no natural magic resistance, but relies on Caster's territory to defend against magic and NPs. Without it, he is pretty much food for other servants.
>Kid actually pondering about what's best for him
Best girl*, m8.
>the ability to always feel
You think Assassin can't defend himself against a simple C-rank Noble Phantasm?
You by far underestimate him if you think that means she has a shot against him. There's a reason even Archer is stated to stand a low chance against him in direct combat, even if he can fire off Phantasms just like you're trying to say she can do.
Yet she still got owned by Kuzuki
Talk about shit writing.
>Alt Saber loses riding skill
> Without it, he is pretty much food for other servants.
He beat saber in close combat. Don't underestimate Sasaki.
She can learn to ride muh dick, dawg. Know what I'm sayin'?
He fought and held off every servant in the war
That Instinct was what saved her in the first place. Rider got killed instantly.
The fact that she survived it and was fully capable of fighting back soon after is a testament to how good her Instinct is.
>Kiritsugu soliloquizing in front of a comatose kid about how finding the latter saved him
No fucking shit it's bad writing.
ufotable butchered the inner dialogues. And much of FSN consists of the protagonist's thoughts, so you end up with weirdness like Shirou talking aloud to himself about becoming a hero of justice.
It's super-awkward and super-immersionbreaking.
>Charisma ranks to lead an army or nation
Would Saber Alter be a good match with Kiritsugu.
She has so much charisma that Rin want to get fucked by her in fate route.
Shame that he ended so bad in HF.
I don't follow
She's still the same Saber, but with more rage, and is also Batman.
Her heart is the same anyway
>Shame that he ended so bad in HF.
Like almost every-fucking-one else.
>Rin is a latent bisexual
Charisma nothing, Rin already swings that way.
Fucking kid. Go back to your sword projecting.
There's no shame there, it just couldn't be helped.
He tried holding off a monster beyond servants, and he went out with honor.
Now I am interested. Is that from the original game or are there sequels?
Being slaughtered by something only to have your remains be desecrated to summon some ugly faggot takes the icing of a cake.
Saber Lancelot with Kiritsugu. Any weapon becomes NP + Disguise would work so great with Kerry
Knowing that that an animated FSN would result in a frodopocylapse, I tried to make this shitty FAQ, but now I've just given up. Some of the questions are so retarded that there's no hope, they actually ask things that are answered 5 minutes earlier in the episode. I don't know if anyone wants to finish this, or even gives a shit, but here it is. I'm ashamed to have put what little effort into it that I have.
Assassin have no NP and only his sword as defense (due to the type of sword and the extreme length, it is not something you use to defend against NP, especially against any reality hacking one).
No, the VN made it clear that Sasaki was using the high ground to its full advantage, because of the tight space due to the territory, and fighters would have to step back even when blocking when the attack comes from high ground, and the increased length of the swing and swipe required when attacking from low to high ground.
Sasaki is overall a superior swordsman, but in UBW Saber was pressed for time and didn't know whether she should just overpower Assassin with her prana/wind barrier attack and might not have enough energy for the final battle and the grail. Or be stalled for too long by Assassin. In Fate, Saber managed to dodge Assassin's incomplete TG, but Assassin also stated that Saber was holding back due to concern about her reserve.
Seriously, much of Assassin's advantage comes mainly from the territory.
Dengeki Hime 02/2006, Type-Moon Double Maniax - [Fate] Dream Battle - Archer vs. Assassin
>Nasu-san CHECK! If it's a straight out death match, then Archer will win. But Assassin is an oddity that fights under different battle conditions from the other Servants. While many Servants are offensive, Assassin is defensive. At a Servant-killing battlefield like Ryuudou Temple and with Caster's anti-sorcery defensive barrier, sorcery and Noble Phantasm power is decreased significantly. As a result, if it's not a powerful Noble Phantasm, then he won't take a fatal wound. Which means that the battle between the two is clearly swordsmanship. With Archer having his sniping sealed off to him due to the terrain effect, could Archer actually lose...?
>Her heart is the same anyway
People really overstate this shit; only Caster, Lancer, and Asassin died early on. Also all the human characters got way more development compared to every other route.
Characters weren't left in the dust, rather the development was split between routes, and most of the servants had already been explored and been given ample time to shine before this point. The ones that shined this route were the ones that weren't given a chance before, like Rider or Hassan.
Plus they needed to take out some servants to create a situation devoid of hope without options. This was the create a situation where the human characters could really shine far more.
I know people will just repeat the same thing about this, "Everyone was shafted and I hate it", but that wasn't the case really. Lot of them were around a lot longer than people realize, Gilgamesh was even around until the last few days.
Why would you go through the trouble when you can just tell them to read the damn VN?
He can block the reversing causality one too. Going by both the description of the only way to block it is with a shield that overwhelms its magical energy (not the thrown version, Impaling Barbed Death) and the fact he does so in Extra, which Nasu wrote. It's not just game mechanics, there's a specific line from Lancer when he does it.
So can you summon anyone in the Holy Grail War as long as you have some artifact related to them?
Like could I summon Santa Claus as Rider?
He can dodge it.
Unlike the Answerer, the normal C-Rank Fragarach isn't an unstoppable sure-hit sure-kill super-skill. Given Assassin's skill and ability, he should be able to dodge it without much problem. It has a reflective property that depends on how Bazett sets it up, but Assassin should be able to see through that with ease.
The only way Bazett can beat him is with the Answerer.
>"Everyone was shafted and I hate it"
I never say that. Doesn't change the fact that they really DO got shafted.
Most of them do.
Lawful Evil doesn't mean Evil in the sense you think it does.
>Uro: What I imagine is that for the Saber Lily storyline, in Fate/stay night, Saber was completely beaten by Caster, and so she became one of her Servants. Like, she thought "I'd be way better off with Caster than with Shirou." (Laughs)
>Nasu: I never thought of that. Interesting. So in other words, the white dress represents how both her body and soul have been tamed by Caster. So Lily is truly like a "lily" to Caster... you crazy bastard, you did it again...
>Takeuchi: Lily's design was inspired by the dress she wore when Saber was captured by Caster. Then, we just filled it with feminine qualities that Saber lacked and it became what it is now. So basically, I think Urobuchi really hit it close to the mark.
>Uro: Really?! Lily looked like a villain to me from the moment I saw her. Imagine her appearing from behind Caster, really working those heels! Just thinking of it gets me excited!
>Takeuchi: But in terms of villains, don't we already have Alter?
>Uro: No, she isn't a villain, she's a dark hero.
>Nasu: Alter is an idealist who clings to her own values even though she's been blackened. In that respect, she isn't a pure villain.
>Uro: For example, Alter's like how Hakaider was in Mechanical Violator Hakaider (*8). And Lily is the enemy she would face. The wrinkles in the corners of her eyes are proof to that. She'd shine as a villain.
>Nasu: Then after defeating Lily in battle, Alter would jump on a motorbike in the last scene and ride off into the sunset. Then the narration would come in: "She is a modern knight, who lives in a world of darkness!" (*9)
Is Shirou related to Berserker from Fate/Zero? I noticed that when Shirou did his reinforcement magic, the rolled up paper was covered in these green "circuit" lines. In Fate/Zero when Berserker grabbed something and it became his NP it was covered in these red circuit lines. Is there a connection between the two characters?
Don't even bother. It's not worth the effort. All the questions should be answered with a "Read/reread the VN".and it should be a bannable offense for you to do this to enable the lazy. I pity you in some ways.
I wish Ufotable would animate the Saber and Rider fight on the side of the building from the Fate route. That was such an awesome scene.
Because they never will, and they're so retarded that it would probably just give them even more questions.
>Archer can also shoot exploding homing arrow-swords from 4km away with enough power to eventually take down Saber, but you'll never get to see that in the anime, you filthy secondary.
Did you got to actually see it? animated? I thought the game was just words, words, words. Do they actually animate the fight scenes?
If not, then you just got to read it. And I just got to read it too.
>Gilgamesh was even around until the last few days.
Does that even matter? The complaint is how little screen time they get also no one cares about Hassan since he was just added in HF, which leaves only Rider.
That won't happen, I think Gil get owned by Shirou is enough for me though.
So Archer knew who he was by the ti e he faut Lancer in episode 1, right? Before that he told Rin that he couldnt be Saber because he has no swords, but during the fight he summoned over 30. He also gave Rin his pendant later that night. I dont get why he wouldnt tell Rin who he was though, unless he knew it would get n the way. I guess Rin x Shirou is canon in his timeline also.
You ignore or report if it's truly a bannable post and move on. Why give up and put more effort into enabling them? That's like the most retarded conclusion someone can make.
>Did you got to actually see it?
Yep on Hollow Ataraxia.
But if Archer is Shirou from a different timeline then he shouldn't have the pendant because Shirou from this timeline where he is killed/revived is the one that gets the pendant.
Does he get the pendant in other timelines/routes?
I know why spoonfeeding is bad, I was just hoping to alleviate some of the burden on the already-fucked fate threads. I figured that people would just throw the image at the frodos to drive them off and not have to bother with further answers.
I honestly don't understand what you're trying to say here.
>Did you got to actually see it?
Yes. That's why it's called a Visual Novel.
Fragarach does have the time hax against non trump cards, that's how she won against Shirou in rock paper scissor with technicality. And Fragarach is used as a counter, Assassin can't dodge like flubber while attacking.
>Does he get the pendant in other timelines/routes?
Yes, in every route he get almost-killed by Cu in the prologue. Read the fucking novel.
According to Nasu, he legitimately forgot who he was due to Rin's botched summoning. That was definitely a thing, and it makes sense. You can't actually expect such a hilariously botched ritual to not have SOME consequences, after all.
That being said, he managed to remember everything by the next morning.
Rin summoned another servant, but she still ends up at the school in time to be ambushed by Lancer, which means the fight is still caught by Shirou.
>Hey Rin it's me Shirou. By the way I'm going to go kill myself
They complement each others. Kiritsugu is perfectly capable of assassinating masters by himself (or with his bitch I guess) but he can't do much against a direct assault from a servant and he would have needed someone to keep the other servants busy while he takes care of everything in the background. Saber is great for that role.
>I dont get why he wouldnt tell Rin who he was though
He want to kill fucking Shirou, would Rin let him do that?
Again, read the fucking novel
>Fragarach does have the time hax against non trump cards
No it doesn't. Bazette specifically wins on compatibility because 'lol anti magus'. Basically he forgot Shirou has the whole make the sword move as it was used by the wielder thing and that Bazette is actually an entirely melee fighter with non-servant level stats.
Is Inception the only movie people have seen that use horns this way? Everytime someone brings up the music its Inception this Inception that.
Have you seen how posts are being wasted on answering these people? Babies are getting all of the answers they want and then some, I thought that this would just help remove some of this shit clogging the threads.
Archer went through the grail war in his timeline to you goddamn stupid nigger. I'm done posting, fuck this.
ufotable are cheap hacks who recycle even characters expressions.
Why do you randomly capitalize things like Timeline and Servant and Spirits? Why do you write as edgy as fucking possible? Why can't you just say the white hair and dark skin is from a strain on the body from abusing thaumaturgy like every other source? Why do you say that's the only answer that's been given like it's some how insufficient? Why didn't you include the fact the mana-pendant was a stronger catalyst than anything else so it's what caused Rin to summer Archer? The fuck up was just a red herring. Why didn't you include that Archer actually acts as an Archer in F/HA with his bow and everything?
He felt compelled to not murder Rin because he cares about her. His best case scenario is Rin taking Saber and winning the war while he murders the shit out of Shirou.
So he can't kill her, and she can use her command seals to keep him from murdering Shirou at any time.
It's also important to note that in a few instances Archer is still debating whether or not to actually go through with betraying her at all. He has opportunities here and there, but chooses not to exploit them.
>I assume you're the same secondary anon at this point.
Visual novel is a different medium. Yes you get to see animations and background images, as well as character sprites. You get to hear sounds, and lines are spoken in voice overs.
If I had to guess an exact moment he remembered, it was probably when they were walking around town and he saw Shirou fromthe rooftop.
Emphasis in *novel*
Also he doesnt have like wolverine healing. this is like some overnight at best kind of shit.
There are multiple parts where Kiritsugu would have been screwed with any other servant. Diarmuid only spares him after the battle againt Kayneth because it's Saber's master. Also Iri would have died to Kotomine
Did you not read the post? She used fragarach mechanics in a rock paper scissor game.
He only wanted to kill him in one route, and the routes don't split until after that point. You read the fucking VN.
People really overestimate Shirou as "Servant level" even temporarily. There's a reason Nasu said he'd lose to Bazett no matter what, and would lose to Shiki if limiters were ignored.
Any fight he's had against a servant was far too situational.
No retard, he has always hated Shirou from the start and want to kill him. Only in UBW he made actual actions about that.
Could Wallachia beat Gilgamesh?
You know, even outside of his kid form, Gil's actually a fairly pleasant guy in certain circumstances. He's arrogant and a jerk, but he's rather jovial and even friendly sometimes.
No, Ea would be super effective against world phenomenon by tearing apart the world. He's effective against people that change the world, and there's a certain type that's super effective against him in turn.
I hate you, that doesnt mean I want to kill you.
Here is a handy-dandy chart that requires no boring VN reading!
Yes. Chaotic Good.
So you enjoy a douchebag king calling you mongrel?
I agree. In UBW he fights a master-less, mana-less Archer, and Gil who wasn't wearing armor while inside his reality marble.
10/10 would recommend
>Shiki if limiters were ignored.
This sounds stupid. If you are going to ignore limiters why not go both ways and give Shirou the ability to poop divine constructs thus Dual wielding EAs for the double the GGs and luls.
Read CCC, he's always best guy.
>“You may as well say that it’s nothing at all.”
>I look up to see Gilgamesh peering curiously at my stash,
>golden armor seeming almost to taunt me.
>...Shall I strip you of that armor and auction it off?
>“Nothing cries more loudly of the transience of the world and the fleetingness of life than an empty vault.
>Quick, fill it, transfer your funds.”
>More easily said than done......
>The fact is that I have to first acquire the money to do so......
>“What? You mean to say that you don’t have another repository?
>This scanty, shabby, shoddy, sorry sight is truly the entirety of your wealth?”
>It is indeed.
>The poor man has no choice but to make do with these sorry savings, Your Majesty.
>…............…............Not good, I sense tears welling in my eyes............
>Is this the fated condition of the so-called 'broke student'?”
>I-is this really something worth crying over?!
>I sense a wave of utterly unwarranted and unprecedented sympathy......!
>“I am sorry. Having inexhaustible wealth, I do not quite understand the concept of poverty.
>Thus, I know not the cure to your grief......
>Forgive me, Hassan.
>And stay back. I do not wish to catch poverty.”
>This guy leaves me with no choice but to sue for slander―――!
>......And what’s a Hassan?
>“Have you not heard? The most hapless of all Servants;
>misfortune, thy name is Hassan.
>Well, more importantly, it was a pun about your financial state.”
>“You see――― Hassan hassan’t a penny to his name! *
>Very well, you are now permitted to laugh.
>Is it not a saying of your country that ‘good fortune comes to the merry’?”
Finding out when Archer remembered who he was because of a single sentence Archer said makes him the opposite of a retard, actually.
Is it possible to have sex with a Servant or is there some ghostly bullshit that prevents that?
Don't judge me.
To be honest, the Archer vs Alter Saber fight in prisma was better than the whole DEEN anime though, not sure about Ufotable later fights so can't compare them right now.
A bit too obvious.
Best subs for this?
limiters were removed for both fighters, in the sense that they won't explode from overprojection or using eyes too much.
He still can't trace divine shit even if limiters were removed
READ THE LN
Shirou fucks Saber for mana purposes.
Thats the thing, you have to have a hell of an advantage to fight a servant. (Pic related)
its still damn impressive either way to just be able to keep up and doesnt change the fact that Shiki can kill servants
Don't remind me anon.
>skipping a bunch of boring cooking scenes
THANK GOD FOR THAT
The only reason he had a chance was Caster was using him as a Pet like in an MMO. She buffed the absolute shit out of him with some of the most powerful magic known to man from the age of the gods.
Saber is not technically a Spirit though. But I guess Rider is.
>in the sense that they won't explode from overprojection
But he won't as long as he just uses UBW. Removing limiters is too one sided it won't do shit for Shirou.
female assassins are sluts
I'm still waiting for Rin 1v1 Caster with a punch. It was one of the best scene in the UBW route but DEEN movie made it like it was pure luck.
Didn't she just buff up the damage? The speed and technique came from Kuzuki himself.
Granted, he would have barely scratched Saber without the buff.
And he was kicking the most combat skilled servants ass.
The point is you need a crazy ass advantage to fight a servant as human.
She buffed everything. You can reinforce eyesight to be fast, muscles to be quicker, and bodies to have more constitution. We've seen examples of this over and over from magi, especially those focused on battle. The technique was really weird which is ultimately what made it work, because saber had never seen anything like that before. Without the buffs though it would've been completely useless.
IIRC he buffed his whole physical prowess, that includes speed and strength.
He WOULDN'T be able to even scratch Saber without buffs.
Even then most of his power is lost if you've seen it once before.
Yes you get to see it
Caster and Kuzuki were just awful in ubw. I like to pretend that arc of the route never happened.
What happened to Issei in UBW route? I don't even remember.
He gets turned into a girl and raped.
>Medea can boost a humans abilities so much that they surpass a Saber-class in close combat
Mind controlled by Caster.
Yet people always love the shit out of that route, despite how Medea isn't really much of a mid-boss.
>surpass a Saber-class in close combat
Nasu said even a hand to hand specialist like Bazett would be deceived by the snake fist on the first fight.
Kuzuki was trained his whole life learning nothing but the same technique for his assassination mission
UBW, like HF, is only saved by its end
Personally, I'd find almost any of the Servants from the 5th War to be agreeable. If you could choose from any of them in a game like Fate/EXTRA, I'd be rather please.
Well, Berserker would be a bit lame. Nothing against Herakles himself, but I'd imagine that it would be difficult to hold conversations with someone who is literally incapable of forming coherent thoughts. True Assassin is also a bit unappealing, but he seems to have his share of fans.
Compared to that, the participants of the 4thh War are a mixed back. Saber, Rider and Gil are fine, but someone as annoying and hopless as Lancelot is a no-go for me. Same with Diarmuid. As far Gilles, I'd imagine that he'd probably end up killing or harassing anyone who wasn't as insane as he was, so that's also annoying in its own way. Honestly, the 4th War was full of disagreeable types.
What if Caster was with Shirou, and she boosted him? How powerful would be then?
He's called a Saber class fighter when buffed, like sasaki
>Prisma Illya written by Gen
Well that's news to me. So who's writing it now, the manga is ongoing right?
What are you arguing? I was only saying that his technique only had a chance because of boosting magic. If he was fighting alone he wouldn't have scratched her. I agree he needed the weird technique too.
I wish they did more with Assassin in Fate/Zero.
He might make it to Servant class, but that wouldn't help him in the long run. Every single Servant is more talented and skilled than him in very way. Even if he could boost his STR to B, Saber would be able to beat him through far superior combat skill and instinct.
Would still be pretty shit.
Buffed Taiga, on the other hand.
>People sniping each other, murdering wives on daily jogs, and killing civilians for no reason other than being COOL
>Masters and Servants going to the pool together and cooking and stuff
I'm trying to understand what happened during that decade.
Will Ufotable cover Saber's butt with longer dress when she is captured by Caster? Or will they draw her dress exactly likes the CG in the VN?
His snake fist was a technique of deceit at heart, meaning it would work once before the hero figure out the trick, and then from that moment he would have immense difficulty against for most fighter heroes.
The Butcher can actually write. (^:
That's only in Fate/hollow ataraxia.
Woman and children.
Saber is such a shitty character and king.
>Muh futa cock
>Masters from around the world
>Everybody is from the same school in Japan
The teenagers just wanna have fun, nobody cares about the fucking war, they justsummoned the servants for sex.
>I'm trying to understand what happened during that decade.
He's literally telling her it's ok that she's a slut and she should jump on his cock.
Gilg 2 pro.
>Servants fight each other while masters battle
>Anyone can punch caster
>You can kill your older more experienced self
>Gilgamesh is a pushover
>Kotomine loses to a kid and is too lazy to just win the war, his lifelong goal to justify his existence
>Just kidding your teacher is actually an expert assassin
>Half the characters could just win the grail war but are too lazy/forced not to for plot contrivance
>Q. Lancer, Caster, Assassin, and True Assassins; all with normal attack and Noble Phantasms of B or lower. If they fought against Berserker, wouldn't it be a one-sided fight? Or are there any of them that can match up against him?
>A: Assassin and True Assassin by themselves wouldn't even be a fight. Lancer can use his runes and Noble Phantasm together to temporarily raise the rank to A, but it'd still be a very disadvantageous fight but "one with some chances". Caster has two front-line Saber-class defenders, so if she uses her high sorcery then she'd be able to deal damage, but that would be limited to 2 to 3 times. Also, in the game, Assassin was able to push Berserker back because of the terrain advantage and support from Caster (weighing down Berserker's body). ...Well, since the compatibility of Assassin and Berserker is horrible, the fact that Berserker was even pushed back is enough to say "whoah, Kojirou's amazing".
>Caster has two front-line Saber-class defenders, so if she uses her high sorcery then she'd be able to deal damage, but that would be limited to 2 to 3 times.
What if we had a Holy Grail War from the BEST of the BEST in the Type Moon world? The best of the Mage Association, the Church, maybe even a Dead Apostle. Will this ever happen or has Nasu wrote himself into a corner by making FSN about the last Grail War?
>Servants do shit, masters are killing each other
>Servants are fighting, Masters are hanging out at Shirou's house. Servants decide to join in.
Nasu is such a fucking hack.
More like Shirou's sword is so charming it lure everyone in his house.
There are other grail wars that arent the holy grail war, and it has people from Tsukihime and KnK being summoned.
Read Fate/Strange already, or Extra & CCC
What the heck was the shining tendril for though? Is it meant to be the curse finding a target?
The rest of the animu and mango industry should learn from that scene. The bad guy, still being concealed, stabs MC's heart with a sure-kill weapon first, without saying anything more than a mere "hey". THEN he does all the trash talking and exposition. This is how the "cornered MC" situations should actually end like in most media.
He's like Tomino, only Nasu's more fun and well budgeted.
>or has Nasu wrote himself into a corner by making FSN about the last Grail War?
Maybe you actually need to read Strange, Apocrypha, Prototype, and Extra rather than brushing them off as spinoffs or something.
They really are what you're asking for, they're the same sort of grail wars but with different world situations like that.
F/SN was not the final Grail War, it was the final "Fuyuki Grail War", there are many other grail wars out there. Since that was the final Fuyuki one there won't be another there, but there are far bigger grail wars to be found.
Strange stars DA's and all that bullshit you asked for, and Extra is about the world at stake as the best of the best are in it.
Nasu sometimes man holy shit.
Does Saber have autism?
It's just Ufotable's typical over-the-top 3D cg shits.
>Jester is a Dead Apostle known as the Six Hearted Revolver (六連男装, ?) who has taken interest in the Holy Grail to grant his wish. As it is his first time participating in such a battle, he researched the nature of the ritual thoroughly, and plans to summon a Servant of the Assassin class. He brought ten disciples with him to Snowfield, all of whom are loyal to the point where they will face certain death to avenge their supposedly dead master. They don't appear to know of his true nature because they are shocked at his supposed demise. His original form is that of a small girl.
>Jester is bored with the nature of the world, so he participates with the hope of waking the spider from its slumber with the power of the Holy Grail and to die with the rest of the world.
Strange sounds fun already
Just based Ufotable finding a way to animate fucking reverse of causality. Even my little secondary brother understood that right in a single watch, that's just fucking amazing.
That's what happens when you turn a 15 year old girl into the King of England and make her kills hundreds of dudes on battlefields. They lose their sense of humour.
Cute as hell
Doesn't really explain the tendril.
Even babies can understand the reverse causality due to the rewind and Saber's words.
I'm talking having the best Mages from all around the world, all fighting to compete for the Grail. I'll look into Strange Fake. Fate/Extra CCC isn't translated, so my bad if that's what I am looking for.
Holy fuck I never realized how absolutely shitty the menu edits were. You can see the spray paint and some of the kanji behind Skills. It's like they didn't even fucking bother checking how bad their edit was.
Is this mirror moons doing?
That's Fate/Zero you retard.
Sorry sir I didn't buy the VHS.
So there is an Ilya route in FSN. You just have to revive Kiritsugu and have him fight in Shirou's place
Best Mages don't give a shit about the Grail.
>King of England
SHE FOUGHT AGAINST THE ANGLO SAXONS WHO WOULD LATER GO ON TO BECOME THE ENGLISH. FUCK YOU AND PICK UP A HISTORY BOOK.
Extra is closer to different masters from around the world being chosen to compete for the greatest Holy Grail, while CCC is more about power between servants and concepts reaching universal levels in bigger ways than ever before as more than the Earth might be at stake at worst.
Strange is a Grail War in America modeled after the Fuyuki one a bit, but the war is literally nothing but the biggeset heretics and monsters around. Gilgamesh and Enkiud are summoned, Disease is summoned as a servant, the strongest Hassan of them all that has every single Hassan NP and was kicked out of the organization was summoned, Dead Apostles are competing, and shit only gets weirder from there.
It's the bullshit heretic grail-war, where it's never been more strange, aside from in CCC or possibly Grand Order.
>So there is an Ilya route in FSN. You just have to revive Kiritsugu and have him fight in Shirou's place
Anything for illya.
Why is Saber so depressed about her country in F/SN
Britain still exists and everyone thinks she's the most legendary hero ever
CCC for example is the only time we'll see divine spirits in a grail war, but it's the only time we really need to see them since they were covered in depth and given explanation like never before.
Or butthurt over losing to the would be English.
She fought the english
>Americlaps knowing European history
Rider best girl
The 5th grail war was a irregular one since normally the grail war happens every 60 years, but it took 10 years from 4th to 5th because of all the excess energy remaining from the 4th grail war (due to the destruction of the near full lesser grail). 10 years is too short for the 3 main families to provide veteran heirs to participate. There were actually quite a few adults masters. Bazett for lancer, adult mage for caster, caster for assassin. But due backstabbing, a lot of them were replaced with irregulars.
But anyway the f/sn was written for a typical format of the time
King Arthur is a legendary British leader of the late 5th and early 6th centuries, who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the defence of Britain against Saxon invaders in the early 6th century.
This right here is a pretty good reason to hate current England
Even though she was fighting against the anglo saxons
Except unbuffed even against nonservants he rely on the first strike.
Q: Between Kotomine, Bazett, Kuzuki, Melty Blood’s Miyako, and Kishima Kouma, who’d be the top 3 in a purely hand to hand fight with no weapons or magecraft?
A:I’m excluding Kouma since his existence itself has become a mystery.
And even if he didn’t have that nature, he’s like an athlete caught by drug testing.
Out of the four left, the winner in pure strength is Bazett.
If it’s limited to one match and a surprise attack, then it’s Kuzuki.
And if it’s the Kotomine from ten years ago, he’s stronger than Bazett overall.
Yes, British, not English.
Do you know what the word British means? It isn't some exclusive word for English people.
Thanks. Those sound pretty awesome. Now we just have to wait for the translations.
Strange Fake Assassin looks really powerful, like, actually threatening. Is she anything related to the Prototype Assassin?
I have a pretty bad memory, did FZ and FSN explain this? The adult masters sound interesting, will we ever get to see Caster's original Master or Bazett actually participating outside of hollow ataraxia?
England didn't exist when Arthur supposedly lived. He was thought to have been a native Briton or else a Roman who sided with the native Britons against the invading Anglo-Saxons (who would become the English).
>Is she anything related to the Prototype Assassin?
She has her NP, she has all the Hassan NP's. That's why they kicked her out of the club, for making them look bad.
I wonder if they're going to keep the Saber concept for the Strange Fake novels.
Black Death is the real Dark Horse of the F/S tournament.
While GIlgamesh and Enkidu are the obvious forerunners
*typical VN format.
I need more unlimited codes
You can't use Fate/Zero stats, they scale with the Master, Kiritsugu.
What do I have to do to become a servant?
Don't post on /a/
Then you try to go back in time and kill yourself.
Can't machines also be servants?
Get a job as a cute meido.
Run around with a sword you named, scream it's name at people, and shine a really bright flashlight in their eyes
What Archer are we getting here, EXTRA Gilgamesh or the pervy King of Heroes?
I would love if TM made another Fate fighting game with all of the Servants thrown in. Would take a millennium to balance them all out, though.
I forget if she's completely mechanical or not.
Hey man, don't hate on the wang.
thats going a bit far, whoever translated that
Sometimes Sader gets into the lead paint chips.
>Britain still exists
I just had a horrible premonition that CR was going to sub Heracles as "Hercules" next episode.
Well it was written way before it got like that
The Brittain she knew doesn't exist. It'd be like being one of the founding fathers and then waking up to Obama Care.
Yes if they have a soul. It was both stated by Rin in the VN and by the materials reference.
If we're being serious I think the Founding Fathers would be pretty impressed with the fact that America went from some tiny upstart nation considered mostly irrelevant by Europe to the most influential country in the world
>It'd be like being one of the founding fathers and then waking up to Obama Care.
And then seeing giant fucking stone monuments and currency of their greatness
It'd be more akin to the founding fathers coming back to a country ruled by Mexicans
I'm sorry but a Servant who loses to EVERY SINGLE F/S servant beside the Assassins (AND EVEN AGAINST TRUE ASSASSIN IT'S A COIN TOSS) can't be best girl.
Humans don't really have the capacity to become Servants any more.
You need to have performed great deeds in life, have unfinished business upon death, and be well known thereafter (infamy will suffice since the grail has been corrupted).
Problem is, the world is to well connected now (no room for legends to grow), guns have trivialised warfare (people are no longer esteemed for combat prowess), and modern leaders no longer have military responsibilities (people lack an object of loyalty).
Could the founding fathers be servants?
ALL of them? I think that's going way overboard.
At least he's a REAL king
>have unfinished business upon death
Nope. Cu Chulainn has no such thing.
Also, being a Servant is easier than being a Heroic Spirit. Even nameless wraiths can get chosen under certain circumstances.
You are now imagining Lincoln coming back as Berserker?
King of DYING LIKE A BITCH
Cu fought Gilgamesh for 12 hours with A MORTAL FUCKING WOUND.
He'd use a rifle and an axe, dual wield.
Did Lincoln ever murder someone in a fit of rage?
There is literally no problem with this. The person we know as Hercules in modern myth, is more accurately the Greek Heracles. (See Disney's Hercules, and Hercules the Legendary Journey). No one actually knows the actual Hercules tails tails which take place in Rome.
I'm sorry but the modern Hercules in English culture is a perfectly fine translation for Heracles.
>DYING LIKE A BITCH
But anon, so does Gilgamesh.
He may or may not have invented the chokeslam which he used during a wrestling match as a youth and nearly killed a man.
Did she ever fight Lancer?
For that matter did she ever fight Berserker?
What servant would Hitler be? Does he count?
Fate/Zero and Stay Night really. They forgot about True Assassin in UC.
Alexander has been summoned one time and died one time like a bitch
Gilgamesh has been around several times and only died like a bitch in UBW and HF.
That still leaves him with Zero, Fate, H/A, and CCC with no bitch dying. He has a 1/3 bitch death ratio compared to Rider's 1/1
if you dont like america then you can just get out.
How would Archer go against Assassin in the UBW route, we never got to see that. If Saber fought against Caster (instead of Archer) in that bit of UBW, who would have won?
Nikola tesula as caster
They didn't forget about him.
They realized True Assassin has zero fans and just decided to cut him.
Don't be fucking stupid.
But there would be so much great fight banter if you included Servants from Apocrypha and Extra.
I tried. The Mexicans stopped me at the border.
Sure! He'd be rider with a pack of tanks or german shepherds or some shit and he'd gas chamber people for his NP
I'm pretty sure he could beat EMIYA. It would depend on who's reality marble would win out, and I'm pretty sure the combined hopes and dreams of all Rider's subjects > Emiya's distorted mind.
Rider vs Caster would likely end in Rider winning too.
Washington: Really, Franklin, considering what you got up to in France securing our aid, I'm surprised the monument is to my dick instead of yours.
Hitler vs. Moses when
I would like to have girl Genghis Khan as a servant
Read the fucking visual novel.
She'd be a huge rapist too
Instead of the "banquet of the kings", we need the "banquet of conquerors"
i want to see iskander, genghis khan, cyrus, napoleon, etc all sit down and have a talk about being a conqueror
The original guy is talking about Iskander, so I don't know what the visual novel has to do with anything.
If you'd actually read the Visual Novels you'd understand that EMIYA has a distinct advantage against Alexander and that Medea SHITS all over Alexander.
Would Guan Yu be better as Rider, or Lancer?
Distinct advantage my ass. Archer isn't capable of producing enough broken phantasms to take out all of Rider's army.
And Medea would get her ass fucked, bro. There is a reason why Casters are considered shit in combat. She'd be able to get a few beam spams off before it'd be over, and then Rider's army would take turns raping the slut.
This is Hercules, not Heracles. He has no beard or lionpelt. What he does wear is a roman leather kilt.
Or maybe he's an amalgam of both of them just like every other modern Hercules depiction? Stop being fucking autists.
>She'd be able to get a few beam spams off before it'd be over, and then Rider's army would take turns raping the slut.
Not if she just nuke the whole army away with a huge scale beam spam.
>Not if she just nuke the whole army away with a huge scale beam spam.
It's probably about time you stop wanking your waifu, m8.
>A dagger that can destroy any magic
>Oh shit it's a reality marble
>stab ground with Rule breaker
>Reality marble is gone
Overpowered as fuck
>rider tramples her with Gordius Wheel while she stands back up
Too bad she is terrible at close combat
fake assassin is so cool
You're operating under the assumption that either EMIYA or Medea HAVE to get close to Rider to kill him and get sucked in IH.
Both of them can plop themselves on a roof somewhere and just CARPET BOMB Alexander. Rider has NO REAL COUNTER TO THIS SINCE ALEXANDER ONLY HAS CLOSE RANGE OPTIONS
Then even if they DO get sucked into IH, Rider is a fucking idiot who charges at the front of his army and can just be sniped or taken out in the first real beam spam
You're stuck in the fucking dumb mind set that "ALL SERVANTS MUST ENGAGE IN MELEE COMBAT 1VS1 TO DETERMINE WHO IS BEST"
And Alexander doesn't even fucking 1vs1. (AND HE ACTUALLY GETS FUCKED IF SOMEONE PULLS OUT SOMETHING TO FORCE HIM INTO 1 VS 1)
She has her husbando and his CQC.
Nasu was probably aware of that situation so he never put her against a reality marble.
If you think about it rule breaker is alot like Shiki's knife
GUYS what if Shiki HAD rulebreaker?
Does rider ever fight someone 1 on 1 in zero for longer than one attack? I can't recall one
Trampled him while unaware
Excaliblasted before he could get near her
IH to stall for time, backup from other servants earlier
IH again, then dead before he can finish a single swing
>Alter with ahoge
YOU BLOW IT MAN.
>hey don't assume they are close enough to get into IH!
>but lets assume they can start super far away so they can snipe him, k?
When you do a 1v1 like this you usually assume that they start in close quarters, dumbass.
Rider also has military tactics. He isn't going to be taken out by a single attack, he'd obviously be prepared to defend against something like that.
For a fighting game, I wouldn't mind at least a couple representatives from various sources. How about a certain number of reps from each game? To keep things reasonable, maybe around twenty characters in all for the first game. They can add more characters in future installments. And to keep things simple, maybe two representatives for each class.
The first game should probably have:
>Saber: King Arthur, Gawain
>Archer: Emiya, Gilgamesh
>Lancer: Cu Chulainn, Diarmuid
>Caster: Medea, Tamamo-no-Mae
>Rider: Medusa, Alexander the Great
>Berserker: Herakles, Lancelot
>Assassin: Sasaki Kojirou, Li Shuwen
That fills up 14 slots. The remaining 6 slots can go to human characters:
>Bazett Fraga McRemitz
I think that's fairly reasonable.
>starting in close quarters
that's just rigging the game
>IH gets rule broken
>Iskander goes to trample
>Medea uses that teleport thing with her cloak
>Iskander gets slaughted by magic because he has shitty magic resistance
>When you do a 1v1 like this you usually assume that they start in close quarters, dumbass.
Only if you're an actual idiot. When comparing characters in a fight you have to factor the situations in which they win or lose. Having a magic knife that guarantees an instant kill is useless if you can't HIT anyone with it.
>Rider also has military tactics. He isn't going to be taken out by a single attack, he'd obviously be prepared to defend against something like that.
Fate/Zero says completely otherwise, that Alexander was a leader of charisma who constantly made BAD decisions.
And you're under selling just how strong both EMIYA and Medea's artillery are.
And as stated before Medea only needs to pull out Rule Breaker and GOOD BYE IH.
Urobuchi is a hack
>Ionioi Hetairoi vs Unlimited Blade Works
What happens when you try to activate a Reality Marble inside another Reality Marble?
No, it's just magic circuits.
One just overrides the other I think.
And then in future installments, they can start adding classes that don't conform to the original seven.
Then they can take Gilgamesh out of the "Archer" category and insert him into an eight "Other" category that's composed of him, Karna and Avenger.
By the next version update, they'd add Nero, Robin Hood, Atalanta, Elizabeth, Gilles, El Draque, Lu Bu, Semiramis and Luvia to their respective slots.
Yes, that would be perfect. By the third update, most of the new additions will probably be from Apocrypha.
The Divine Bulls have insane magic resistance due to being Divine Beasts. They could just tank all her spells.
>Fate/Zero says completely otherwise, that Alexander was a leader of charisma who constantly made BAD decisions.
Doesn't change the fact that he literally has the skill Military Tactics which helps his IH. He'd obviously be prepared for a sudden snipe.
And even if Medea Ruler Breakers, Rider still has Gordius Wheel. Medea can't move faster than a fucking noble phantasm.
He's completely right about Saber Alter though. Read Sparks Liner High faggot. Saber's goals haven't changed, she's just ends before the means now. Not unlike Kiritsugu in that regard. She's corrupted, but she's very clearly still Saber and still aware.
Saber Lily is pretty much him just fanwanking, but Saber Lily was never a real character anyway, just a design.
>Saber goes to Britbong
>"Shirou, where are all the white people?"
In-universe, the masters view servant's stats in the way they are most familiar with.
Tohsaka viewed them as gems and colours, if I remember correctly, while we share Shirou's point of view, and apparently he is most familiar with RPG character sheets.
Apparently Shirou is a fa/tg/guy.
>Saber, why would we visit the middle of nowhere in the suburbs while visiting a country
I find that mildly amusing. And I'm curious how the various masters would see things.
It's kind of a mismatch, though. Given what we know of Shirou's personality and behavior, it's unusual that he'd know anything about tabletop RPGs.
That's practically Unlimited Codes, did you not see
That image is lacking in EXTRA characters.
We know he played vidya games with Shinji quite a bit as a kid.
Maybe they also had a d&d game going with zouken
If Saber could use traced Caliburn with full efficiency, could the same be said about Cu and Baz's Fragarach?
D&D session with zouken as DM?
>urs, if I remember correctly, while we share Shirou's point of view, and apparently he is most familiar with RPG character sheets.
If it were an RPG theyd be numbers. Shirou views them as grades like on a report card.
If Shirou were to allow it, then anyone should be able to use his projected weapons, so long as they have the means to do so.
For instance, Shirou couldn't use his own Jewel Sword Zelretch, but Rin could use it without issue.
Every campaign ends in worms and rape.
I wonder if Saber misses her dick
That wasn't the point of my question.
And rape by worms
I bet she does
Then what was?
If you're asking if Saber could use Fragarach, then no, she can't. She lacks Bazett's blood.
I miss Saber's dick. She should've kept it. Too bad fucking normalfags would flip about a futa in a mainstream game because they're all closeminded closet faggots.
The Rin scene would've been a thousand times better.
Yet she is the only Servant to win the war in the end.
what's the about saber having a dick
andrew jackson was fucking insane wasn't he
also killed buncha injuns
So I've always wondered about something. I recall that the whole RPG-esque ranking system for servants was just an elaborate metaphor afforded to Shirou so he could better understand a Servant's abilities compared to others. Is that something you're supposed to take into consideration, or are you supposed to take the rankings and descriptions literally and consider the in-universe explanation just some hand-wavy justification?
I was asking could Cu use Bazzett's Fragarach to the same extent Saber could use traced Caliburn.
Think of it in tabletop game terms. Gae Bolg anti-person is an instant death attack, where you are only situationally allowed a saving throw based on your 'luck' stat.
If your luck stat is low, you will never pass the save and always die to the instant death function, if your luck stat is moderate there's a *chance* you can live, if your luck stat is high you can pass the save though not reliably. Saber had both a high luck and a high instinct which more or less allowed her two saving throws, if Cu felt like just spamming it, she would have died eventually
Also the best president, Battle continuation B.
Yes, he could. Cu Chulainn has used Fragarach before, so he should be very familiar with its mechanics. As long as Shirou allows it, there's nothing stopping Cu Chulainn from using a projected Fragarach.
...Well, no, there's still one issue. Preparation. You can't just use it willy-nilly; there's still the whole issue of blood. So he wouldn't be able to use it right away. Even Bazett needs to store her blood and save it up in order to use it. Without that blood, it's useless. Presumably, Lancer's blood should work just fine, but it's still not something you can use the moment it's given to you.
According to angel notes, earth's environment itself is just a large scale reality marble permanently held up by gaia. All planet environments, physics, and rules are.
That answers your question I guess; the stronger one will attempt to erode the weaker one from outside, while the weaker one only has a short duration.
Not the traced one, the Bazzett's one.
Could Shiki rape gaia?
Shiki can rape everything
Where is it said Cu has used Fragarach?
Again, yes. Why shouldn't he be? Like I said, Fragarach is a weapon Cu Chulainn is very familiar with. There's no reason he shouldn't be able to use it.
Would Cucachoo in Ireland, with a strong master get a 1 use Fragarach?
No that's how nasu writes a lot of his shit. There's a very solid basis in tabletop mechanics, which is nice as it gives a reasonably solid basis for how characters interact with each other and stuff.
IIRC he also used a somewhat modified 9 point alignment system, with a few additional things in it - Lancelot from fate/zero showed up as "Chaotic Angry" alignment in berserker form, though in non-berserker he likely would have been lawful-neutral / lawful-good
G A Y B U L G E S
Karna was always Lancer. He doesn't get to exit the system just because Jinako calls it something else and the Moon Cell humors her.
Would it get a powerup?
Maybe in Saber class.
I think Nasu pretty much rounded up 90% of D&D characters.
Also does servant power fall off depending how far they actually are from their land of orgin, or where they are summoned?
He was only able to do it in Extra because the Mooncell gave him a power boost.
No. However, I'd imagine Cu Chulainn would be far more skilled in its usage. In terms of talent for combat, Cu Chulainn should outstrip Bazett by a landslide.
They get boosts from being in their homeland
Why didn't Shirou recognize himself by face? The red man was just slightly taller, tanned and had different hair/eye color.
I am jealous.
Why didn't anyone?
Would you recognize yourself 20 years from now?
Hell, I knew a guy in high school who looked just like me. It didn't even strike me as odd. I noticed that we looked similiar but it didn't bother me. Everyone else was talking about it all the time though. It was like a running joke. Some even said my dad was sleeping around
Why didn't you believe Sam?
Why would you instead believe a sneaking fuck that already tried to kill you plenty before?
Considering FZ also has stat sheets, I think it's just flavor text
If you're asking if everyone is internally aware of these stats, I dunno. It's a good question. I dont think anyone in the series ever talks about stats so I dont think so.
Servants can probably gauge each others' power, but only through fighting
i always found that CG at the end of UBW when Archer looks like Shirou really creey
All 3 kingdom would better be Rider.
Even Lu Bu should be Rider.
It's part of his legend, If he was summoned in ireland he'd have access to a castle, a chariot, Gae bolg, Fragarach, and his runes. Maybe some other things I might be forgetting
Alright, /a/. ufotable asks you to pick what Fate spinoff gets an animated adaptation next.
You can choose from Fate/Apocrypha, Fate/strange fake, and Fate/Prototype (featuring a few episodes that flashback to the previous war as well).
What do you choose?
If you choose none of the above, SHAFT animates Fate/Extra, but they pick your least favourite MC/Servant pair and whichever route you like least.
>Would you recognize yourself 20 years from now?
Probably, my father is like 20 years older than me and I'm still amazed how similiar we look.
There are plenty that should be in other classes though, like Archer Huang Zhong and Caster Zhuge Liang.
strange fake, without question. Shit is amazing.
F/HA because fuck you
>Caster Zhuge Liang spam laser beams with stormbringer NP
Strange Fake for Gilkidu.
none of the above. HA for more castah.
Yea but would you think he is actually you? Or just someone that looks like you?
He already has his Runes.
Yes, but the extent depends on the Servant
A lesser known hero like Avicebron would only gain a boost in their cultural homeland, whereas legendary heroes like Arturia and Heracles would be significantly strengthened through most of Europe, and even further in Britain/Greece. For example, Vlad III is already a powerful Servant, but being in Romania is so beneficial it actually ranks up all of his stats as if he were summoned as a Berserker, with no penalties.
I said gae bolg as well, I was just listing everything he would have
An all new original Illya route where the grail war ends half way through and the other half will be her and Shirou's daily life as a couple where Illya has become an office lady and Shirou cooks for and does chores during the week and then they go on weekend dates. Then something happens like a moon cell or an apostle or the church gets upset or some sorcerer comes to visit who cares and they have to find that McGuffin. It ends with Illya having a kid they name Chloe.
You missed the part where her body shuts down a year after the Grail War
The McGuffin fixes that.
F/HA cause Shaft adapting Nero route will at least guarantee some great T&A shots.
>Nope. Cu Chulainn has no such thing.
FHA reveals he has. He was just unconsciously hiding it.
Hollow Ataraxia that expands on the 3rd Grail war
>Jubstacheit and Avenger
>Edelfelt sisters and tag-team saber
>Tohsaka and an archer
>Puppetmaster and a terrorist Assassin
>Tohsaka and an archer
What are the chances EMIYA was involved?
Jeez guys, I didn't put in Hollow Ataraxia because that'd make the whole poll pointlessly easy.
None of them sound very appealing. I'd rather get Tora-buru Hanafuda Legendary Taiga campaign
What's wrong with mage again? It's essentially same shit as magus.
What's wrong with magician again? It's essentially the same shit as magus.
Magician has a "entertainer" connotation, Magus and Mage are fair game. Not like he confused Magecraft for Sorcery.
What's wrong with magic user again? It's essentially the same shit as magician.
What's wrong with spellcaster again? It's essentially the same shit as magic user.
>Magician has a "entertainer" connotation
What's wrong with faggots again? It's essentially the same shit as spellcaster.
What's not wrong with magicfaggots again? They're essentially all heretics.
Who is the Master Caster and the Caster Master?
I can tell you straight up that Caster Master ain't no Master Caster.
What does it take to be the Master Caster if Caster is Master, but Master Mastered Casters Caster which is the Caster Master?
one female dick
maybe he's a combination of /tg/ and /sci
How do you think Mordred came to be?
7th holy grail war where there are no holds barred and theres no limit to servants and masters that would join and the MC is australian
Can Steve Irwin be summoned as a servant?
So which reality marble is stronger, Hetaroi or UBW?
Would you able to predict that you will be a mexican with white hair in the future due to your magic circuits being overused?
Who wouldn't want to see a 7vs.7 servant match with OP heroic spirits?
Why Gilgamesh don't have Avalon?
Didn't he said he own everything in the world?
Why Gilgamesh si inferior to Sabre?
Damn it, fooooodooooo!!!
