I download raws a lot and it becomes bothersome to have to DL the sub version also. So do you know where I can get the sub file of Kaiba; well not just Kaiba, but, yeah, I checked TT and it has no sub files of it.
In the ideal world groups would only release .ASS or .SRT sub files instead have to encode the entire ep over again. I mean we already have the raws.

Pic related, as the internet has failed me once again.
>>
Stop downloading raws and only download subbed crap. Unless you want to have this problem again.
>>
I agree. Sub groups are dismally retarded for transcoding raws just to add their ugly ass karaoke.

Everything can be softsubbed, so it should be softsubbed. Even karaoke if it is really necessary at all.
>>
softsubs are for faggots, softies.
>>
You do know many raws have commercials right?

Then explain to me how the fuck can you use a subtitle that is not timed correctly.

Besides, if subbers release sub files in .ASS or.SRT files, then anybody can change it and they don't want that to happen

If you didn't have karaoke, how would you sing it?

Heh, well I like to watch the raw before the sub comes out sometimes. Yeah, that's not a good idea but for shounen it makes no difference as it's mostly action and predictable dialog *cough*Bleach Eater*cough*

Because like, what if you want to sing it? :3

Yeah, that's a problem sometimes but most of them don't have commercials. And softsubs are made for raws aren't they?
>>
>>11340866

God forbid we'd want to fix their shitty spelling and grammar
>>
>groups would only release .ASS or .SRT sub files instead have to encode the entire ep over again. I mean we already have the raws
tell other groups to stop stealing the .ass files and calling it their own and we won't need to hardcode everytime.
>>
The problem with raws is that they're fucking huge, as a rule. Sometimes I download them anyway, but really, unless it's been compressed somewhat, it's generally not worth it.

Practically none. Personally I have never come across one with commercials at all, but I am not willing to discount the possibility that such raws exist.

Transcoding of the raw is done only to add unsightly karaoke and sometimes group 'credits' for ego purposes. It has nothing to do with actually needing to reencode/edit the video stream.

>Besides, if subbers release sub files in .ASS or.SRT files, then anybody can change it and they don't want that to happen
People who hardsub to prevent others from using the translation as they please are hypocritical faggots who shouldn't be distributing anime without permission from the copyright holder.

Many groups use softsubs but still degrade the video quality by transcoding just so that they can make their karaoke as garish and heinously ugly as possible. Apparently softsubbed karaoke has a limit to its ugliness, and can be turned off if it is too damaging to the eyes of the viewer, making it unsuitable for torturing your viewers.

Well played, Anon, well played.
