Back while Geass R1 was airing, I hated Suzaku with a passion. And why wouldn't anybody hate him? After all, he came out as a self righteous moralfag that betrayed his friend and his country. He crashed Lulu's plans time and time again with his plothax powers and utter disregard for phisics. But this was an obvious plot device; the more you used to hate a character, the more profound your respect and admiration for him will be, when he redeems himself.
R2 changed my whole perspective on Suzaku. While episode 1 made many people rage, seeing it as the pinnacle of his hypocrisy and betrayal, I realised it was a turning point, the begining of Suzaku's ascent to hero of humanity. First off, take a better look at his choice of words. He said "I will change the world.". Yes, change the world, not "Make Japan a better place.". Not "Free my people and avenge their suffering.". Because Japan and anything pertaining to it isn't even remotely important to him anymore. You argue about his delusion in thinking he can change Japan's state by being the Emperor's dog. You accuse him of being a self righteous hypocrite. Well, he doesn't care. This pseudo-philosophical babble that the likes of Lulu and his fans cherish isn't something he has to bother with. His task is to save humanity, and if he has to be hated to acheive that, so be it. You don't save a whole world by meditating on ethics. You do it by acting decisively, which is what Suzaku is doing.
>>
Soon, the day would come. Just as Lulu's misguided rebellion is at Britannia's proverbial gates, Suzaku will rise, not against the delusional Black Knights. But against the alien threat. Wielding the Sword of Akasha, the banner of humanity's hope of salvation, he will change the world with his own hands. Against an enemy with power beyond comprehension, that would make Lulu piss his pants and cower in his Knightmare, Suzaku will dauntlessly charge forward, cutting a path through fate itself. Because, Suzaku is now a hero. You can praise Lulu for acheiving that. After all, it was he that taught him strength, through Euphie's sacrifice. Now, Suzaku needs that strength, for the good of mankind. Betrayal, lack of ethics, singlemindedness, what does that even mean to a hero? Sure, he betrayed. Sure, he was misguided. However now he has to fight for the common good. Let Lulu become evil to fight the greater evil, or whatever pseudointellectual bullshit he's spewing. Real men don't need such weights on their mind, but a fearless heart and the will to fight.
>>
You see, Suzaku isn't dumb. For all of Lulu's keikaku ability, he painfully fails at common sense. When Suzaku learned about Geass and CC he thought "Wait, this shit isn't right. Immortal aliens giving people psionic powers, inciting rebellions and conflict? The fuck is this faggotry?". Yes, he thought about that while Lulu was blissfully enjoying his victory. And that's when he decided to act. He swiftly apprehended Lulu, putting an end to his nuissance, and at the same time, getting close to the Emperor. And who is in a better position to shed light on things like CC and Geass than the Emperor of Britannia. Suzaku needed answers, and the Emperor needed a loyal, courageous soldier. This is why Suzaku is now the Knight of Seven.
Now, Suzaku knows everything. He knows what manner of threat is in store for humanity, and is working to prevent it. Yes, he spearheaded the invasion of Europe. While you'd be tempted to see this as a selfish act to get in the Emperor's grace, or just being a subservient dog eager to please his master, Suzaku has to take initiative. Earth's time is running out. And when the aliens descend upon humanity, he can't have inner conflicts. He has to unite the world as soon as possible, even if that means killing and conquering innocents. It's better than the widespread panic and confusion that would ensue if the truth were to surface.
>>
And the ending, while the Black Knights and their leader stare in disbelief, Suzaku will be brought to them, on a stretcher, asking to see Zero. He will struggle to stand up, walking towards Lulu with his torn uniform, wounds all over. Extending his trembling hand, barely attached to his body, he'll place it on Lulu's shoulder, and with his last breath of life, whisper in his ear: See... I told you I would... change the... world... The victorious hero will then rest forever, a rest he has truely earned. At that moment, Lulu will realise his own insignificance. A man behind his times, fighting a battle that nobody cared about, and that couldn't change anything. And no, Lulu won't die. He doesn't deserve to, as dying in battle is reserved for real heroes, for men like Suzaku. He'll just fade away. The emperor will forgive him, smiling at his son's foolish actions. He might even let him see to the restoration of Japan. The Japanese people won't hate him either, though misguided, he did rekindle their hope and pride.
>>
He's feeding his bitch. +1 cool points for that.

tl;dr
>>
Years later, a brother and sister will come before a grave. Marked by a giant statue of a man, staring at the heavens, leaning on his sword. A man that, no matter what he did, can never be judged by anyone else. A man that has acheived what others couldn't dream of. Placing flowers on the grave, the young man will burst in tears. His sister will gently hold him, comforting him untill his tears stop, knowing she is the only one that still remembers a knight in black that fought in vain. As the sun sets, the statue's shadow will gently extend over them, not so much as to remind them of ther insignificance, but to remind them, that even in death, his spirit, his heritage, will be there to protect them and everyone else.

Suzaku is moderately less annoying now that he is all out evil.

>the more profound your respect and admiration for him will be, when he redeems himself.
well there is your problem

If Shugo Chara fanfictions are not allowed on /a/, then Code Geass fanfictions are not allowed.

You fail at life for taking the time to write all that, which about 1% of /a/ will actually read.

Suzaku is the man. Focused, badass, wanting to extinguish the world of true faggots, can't get much better than that. Lulu's gonna have a hell of a time when he discovers Suzaku isn't just a knight on that chess board, he's a new piece never seen before: A trump card which can warp anywhere on the field, who can jump over and continue annihilating the opponent like a perfectly aligned chess match.

In the end, Suzaku is going to abandon Lancelot Z2, jump on Gawain, tear Lulu out of the hatch, and break all his teeth in one punch. It will be so hilarious, with Lelouch flopping around like the pansy bitch he is, while Suzaku goes to town on his face. Then, when Lelouch's face is no longer recognizable, he will start wimpering and begging forgiveness. At this point, Suzaku will throw him on the ground, bring him Nunnaly, and tell him to get his fucking priorities in order. Of course, Nunnaly will not want to go because she learned what kind of evil monster Lelouch is, and will want to stay by Suzaku's side, but Suzaku just smiles, opens her eyes with his fingers, and says "I'm sorry Nunnaly, it's unfair to leave you with such a person, but death is too good for the man who used to be your brother. He needs to atone, and I need you here to make sure he does it properly."

Afterwards, Lelouch goes into a paraplectic fit, and tears his own eyes out. He spends his final days as the legal adviser of an international charity for the disabled and mentally sick.

Suzaku of course goes on to become the beloved new governor of Japan, which was reinstated its position as an independent allied country of Britainia for his incredible valor and fortitude. Parents the world over will tell their kids about the story of Suzaku Kururugi, the man who stood against the grimmest of fates and, with hard work and his own two hands, saved a nation from damnation.

You are not seeing the whole picture.
GARzaku killed his father to save Japan and tons of innocent lives. Firstly he saved Lelouche and Nanannly, and secondly he saved Japanese soldier from their suicide mission.
Betray his country? GARzaku no longer care about that minor things. He does not betray the WORLD, Because Japan and anything pertaining to it isn't even remotely important to him anymore. You argue about his delusion in thinking he can change Japan's state by being the Emperor's dog. You accuse him of being a self righteous hypocrite. Well, he doesn't care.
