So, the Death Note movie is coming to a theater near my house on May 20 and 21. I've already seen the movie but I'm still going to see it on one of those days. Anyone else planning on seeing it if it's showing near them?
>>
They're showing it outside of Japan?
American DVD release someday?
>>
Where do you live and where do you find out if it's near you?
>>
where do u live?
and i dont think they'd ever show it around here where i live in NJ. i've already seen it but i would love to see it on a bigscreen.
>>
I live in Arizona, west Phoenix. They have the poster at the AMC near the Cardinal's stadium saying it'll be showing there. They are only showing it in select theaters but the website isn't showing which ones exactly yet...
>>
well thats still pretty cool that they're showing the film in the US now. just shows you how popular death note has become.
>>
Here is where I got the poster. You can try entering your zip code but it's not even working for me yet.

They probably won't have showtimes until the week before or so...
>>
I thought the Death Note movie wasn't very good though?
>>
Lol, it's not but I still wanna see it on the big screen...

LOL @ Naperville theaters. My sister's underage B& friends are paying for my ticket if I drive them.

It's fucking awesome. Judge for yourself. /a/ is wrong
>>
Is it just a retelling of the story in like 2 hours or what? That seems difficult to do...
>>

Retells the story, but cuts out the Near arc and ends similarly to the Near arc except replace Near with L
>>
its like 40 miles away from me so no thanks. and this is a really good movie. /a/ diddnt like it because they had to watch real people. they cut a lot out and changed a little but its still true to the main story and concept.
>>
Huh. If I go like 10 miles I can see it in two different theaters.
But I won't bother.
>>
Of course Kansas City is not included.

If this is just the first film, it ends on a cliff hanger around the time Light decides to join the fight against L. Oh and the Anime shits on the manga can really count it as it's own story with tidbits from the manga.
>>
Movie Light is the guy from Battle Royale so that made me like the movie even more

which ones in naperville?
>>
I was pretty upset when I saw this poster at my local theatre.

I was hoping it would be remade and Americanized. Could have been good or simply good for a few laughs.

Could definitely still happen.
