Can any German speakers confirm this? It seems as if the Japanese screw up German less badly than English. Maybe this is just because I'm an English speaker that it seems they butcher the language worse, but do they do the same with German? It sure doesn't sound as awful to me when voice actresses speak German.
yes they do.
which series are you talking about?
You've never watched Fate Stay Night? >:O
Can you link to a youtube video or something?
Don't watch shit.

But, it has to be said. I fucking lol'd at the Japanese pronunciation of this in the episode where Archer dies...

I am the bone of my sword.

Steel is my body, and fire is my blood.

I've created over a thousand of blades.

Unaware of loss.
Nor aware of gain

With stood pain to create weapons.
Yeah, Fate/Stay Night was fucking bad. Another example that comes to my mind is Yu-Gi-Oh.

The German in FS/N was atrocious.
Fuckin' lol'd too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yK_mMCWKFC4
It's far worse than the english. There were some phrases that I didn't get at all, and German is my first language.

For example, there was a spell that they named "Schließen Vogelkäfig Echo" or something like that. If you translate this 1:1 to English you'd have something like "close birdcage echo".

Birdcage Enclose=ure ECHOOOOOOOOOOOO

makes sense.
