You know I really can't agree that Kaiji was anything special. The trick to it was blatantly obvious and while they might pull it out in future anime nothing about this one was all that good. This isn't even an anime with any strategy unlike the previous setup, it's just far too simple.

I've liked a lot of anime but every now and then the episodes just drag and seem over dramatic this is a perfect example of such a series.

Tl;dr ITT Overrated series.

On a more positive note this leg seems MUCH shorter then the restricted Rock Paper Scissors one atleast and I find that to be a positive for the series in general.

Oh god, not this pasta again.

Sage goes in all fields.

I kind of agree. While it was ok at times, nothing really stood out. Overrated for sure. Especially the Rock Paper Scissors arc.. that one was way too similar to the Chuunin Exam in Naruto.
>>
Kaiji's strength was in its direction, not in its plot.

What direction? It went in circles you fag.

It also had some interesting commentary on society and humanity in general. I'm not going to call it DEEP or anything because that would be retarded and trollish, but it did make me think a bit and I agreed with a lot of it, especially the ending's message.

When people say "direction", they usually seem to be talking about cinematography and use of music, both of which I think Kaiji did quite well.

Are you retarded? Or gay? Both?
>>
>>11311729
Oh, Akagi. We'll go back to talking about you in a minute.
>>
>>11311747
Akagi sucked too, and you know it. The only reason you like it is because it makes you feel manly or some shit, when in reality you're just a basement dwelling fag leeching off your parents.

Damn right OP, even though the majority claims Akagi, I really can't see why. It sucks. No plot, dumb luck, no strategy. Just powerlevels. Shit sucks.

This anime blows. It is ludacris to think that this anime is anything above average. The whole 26 episode revolves around 4 Mahjong matches that go on with boring narratives and repetitive 1st person comments. To add on that there are technically no storyline that drives this anime! Oh my gosh there's a crazy mahjong player, here is akagi to the rescue... Even the characters are nothing but ridiculous personality. No history no background. I couldn't care less is if Akagi died! All and in all this anime is horrible. If you got tons of time to waste like me, watch it. But if not stay away.

IN ALL FIELDS.

FUCKING SHORT-SIGHTED FAGGOTS.

gb2/naruto&bleach/. You're not good enough for reality to seep into your animu anyway.

Characters are just machines. they give us no reason to think or care about them. Yes akagi at first is enigmatic characters and we have no backgrounds or history to find out anything about him. Why and how did he become so fearless? did something happen in his past? I mean come on. What is this guy about? Is he just plain insane? all the characters in this game have no history! They are no more then empty shell lying around.
