I always hear people talk about how Code Geass has big plots holes, so what are they? And don't list stuff like using the geass to make sleeper agents. That's not a plot hole, that's just how Lulu chooses to do things. An example being refusing to use geass on Suzaku until it was a life or death situation.
>>
Pause one of the episodes where CC is eating pizza and invert the colors. What do you see? HOLES. There are HOLES in the pizza.
>>
there arnt many in R2 if your willing to accept some iffy possibilities
most people are just to retarded to think of more than one way to explain something
>>
ANOTHER geass thread?
>>
I am not a manga/anime specialist, but Naruto is certainly the best series I've known so far. It has the emotional intensity of romance, while combining actions and moral code of friendship and essential relationship issues. Lots of characters have deep and unique personalities, and make me want to compare Masashi Kishimoto to Shakespeare for his understanding of human psychology.

The world of Naruto itself is an imaginary one amalgamating a lost ideal traditional Japanese world of ninja (and samurai), with strict moral codes and feudal wars, with elements of modernity such as television and cup ramens. There are no cars or concrete roads, no sign of Westernization or contact to the outside world, even though the technology and school system are unmistakably contemporary. Houses and ninja techniques are purely imaginary, which adds charm to the atmosphere.

Definitely worth a watching/reading.
>>
When you don't like a show, say the story is incoherent and the full of plot holes.
>>
How does Lelouch's geass go all involuntary after the space of less than a year, when the Emperor and Rollo have doing their sort of thing for longer and are still able to control theirs?
>>
Delicious loli CC
>>
How in the hell did they go from a place nowhere near a shoreline when the Lancelot was disabled to washing up on a distant island after the Hadron cannon blast, and how did they all SURVIVE that kind of thing?
>>
Episode 1 of the first season. Lulu and CC are trapped in a tunnel between a Gestapo squad and a truck. The truck blows up hard enough to somehow let Lulu escape but not so much as to harm his noodly body.
>>
>>11291151
V.V teleported them. C.C pretty much says as much in the same episode.
>>

>>
>>11291181
Animu physics != Plotholes
>>
>>11291218
They did explain that, but it was extremely contrived.
>>
>>11291218
The guards where Geassed on the order to shoot to incapacitate.
>>
>>11291218
Not that far-fetched given its set in the future with technology and medicine beyond ours.
>>
>>11291261
Who the hell would treat Mao though? There was no one near him, and no reason for anyone to find him. And how the hell would he crawl to a hospital on his own?
>>
>>11291238
I would have been satisfied if they showed how they escaped, but that is not the case.
>>
>>11291218
A more pressing Mao-related issue: Mao recovers from his twenty gunshots due to Britannian miracle-working medicine, yet Euphie dies from a single shot.

This is explained by the possibility that Mao was shot in twenty non-vital places, while Euphie was shot once in a vital spot, but that's, uhh, pretty far-fetched.
>>
>>11291279
What, do you think the police would just shoot him then leave?
>>
>>11291296
As opposed to shooting him and then getting him medical treatment?!
>>
>>11291284
Where was Euphie shot?
>>
>>11291244
>>11291250
>>11291261
That's just bullshit to cover up the hole.

Even if the twenty soldiers were only shooting their automatics at the extremities, the blood-loss from being shot in that many places would kill a person.

Geass writers show no real concern for things making sense, and instead just put the characters together in situations they think would be entertaining.

"Let's have Euphie get turned into a merciless killing machine thanks to a blunder by Lelouch" (who gets killed by one bullet, so much for future technology)
>>
>>11291284

not only that, but she is still alive for several hours after the shot.

oh, and when lulu uses his geass on Euphy, he wasn't even looking into her eyes, there is no way that could've happened.

Oh no! We have a injured civilian! Take him to the emergency soon ASAP!
>>
>>11291362
"Oh hey, this guy has a bunch of gunshot wounds and we've discharged rounds from our guns...well, no point in trying to determine how he got shot, or where all those fresh bullets came from, or why we're here, we'll just send him to the hopsital and forget this ever occured!"
>>
"Alright, we got this character Lelouch, and he's a military mastermind.. because uh.. he plays chess a lot and is kind of smart, YEAH THAT'S IT... also he almost gets outsmarted by a cat that somehow has the strength to carry a helmet around at twice the speed of a human."
>>
Its been shown that its possible to Geas someone into near immortality by telling them to stay alive. Why doesn't ledouche just Geas mech fighting friends to stay alive.
>>
>>11291362

Police reports state that the mentioned felon is still on the loose, and has yet to actually be identified. Police offers who were at the scene of this shooting are readying police line-ups to be undergone over the next few weeks.

I lol'd.
>>
>>11291405

Faggot. That just gets them to think LIVE AT ALL COSTS, which would probably mean they'd run away--really fucking quickly.
>>
>>11291406
But Mao is just fine, all he needed was a couple of anime-sized bandages!
>>
>>11291439
He probably got several organ transplants. The better question would be how is he walking around so soon afterward.
>>
>>11291405
Because he geassed Suzaku into "LIVING" so that Suzaku would fuck things up for his superiors by never sacrificing himself. If he did the same to his "pawns", he would never be able to sacrifice them, and he might have to do that at some point (this is war, niggers). Also yeah they'd just run away

Can't geass without direct line of sight. And if he had that, he'd probably tell them to do other stuff instead of just suicide, like he did with he sniper in the new episode.

what? he has an aoe, he doesn't need to see people to geass them

This could possibly explain the plothole (or create even more) but perhaps the Lancelot model of Frames (like Rolos) moves as fast as the pilot can think. You know, being powered by Sakuradite or whatever.

CG R2 ep4 : Considering that only affect brains, how Zero's Burai could get a 'Lost Target' from the Vincent when Rolo uses his geass?
>>
>>11291635
She was just acting as an informant for Diethard. She never actually joined the Black Knights.
>>

The target lost means that the machines where destroyed during the time freeze. We see the screen from Lulu's POV.

So it appears that it's actually the trolls that are full of holes.

Here's one from the last episode: Why the hell is Lelouche reading the secret journal on a motherfucking train with motherfucking Rivalz? Won't any of Lelouche's trails notice it? What if Rivalz gets curious about it? Seriously, what the fuck? You read that shit where there aren't any cameras or trails, idiot.
>>
>>11292436
The people trailing him would probably just think it's a normal journal. It's not like it has a unique design.
>>
>>11292491
The front cover has a unique design. I'm sure at least one of them saw the dead guy who had it last writing in it. You shouldn't take stupid chances like that.
>>
>>11292386
I don't consider code geass is full of shit and I don't know if it is a plothole, but how on earth did Lelouche manage to order himself to do something through his reflection when he is supposed to need direct visual contact ?
>>
>>11292270
Go watch the sequence, OoBK's mechs are the red dots in his screen, and there's only one Brit mech who's currently following him, so...
>>
>>11291076
Wow I swear I created that exact sentence like two weeks ago when someone asked that question... did you copy it from there or what?
>>
>>11291400
I reckon Lelouch only Geassed the commanding officer, and the grunt policemen just followed the officer's orders while responding to the "chainsaw maniac" distress call.
>>
>>11292595
It works with reflective surfaces too.
>>
>>11292595
Geass bounces off mirrors, but doesn't work through cameras. Lelouche does a whole speech about what the limits are early first season.
>>
Why doesn't Lelouch geass people to always follow his orders? That would be a lot better in some situations over using a geass once once on a person and not being able to use it again.
>>
>>11292798
Because that would limit their ability to adapt to different situations.
>>
>>11292798
Would make the series too boring if he simply used a loop hole geass like that.

unlike Wakamoto, he's not that big of an asshole.
>>
>>11292798
He doesn't know the time limit. Wall-scratch girl was supposed to fix that, but we don't know what happened to her.
>>
>>11292819
How would geassing someone to "follow any command I give you" limit that person's ability to adapt? The girl who marked the wall every day seemed to live an otherwise normal life.

>>11292831
It's still a plot hole.
>>
>>11292896
Because if he gets ordered to let's say "Blow up that truck", but it is then discovered that it's full of allies, he would still blow it up, if Lelouch wasn't there to give him a new order.
>>
>>11292798
You saw what happened to Euphie, didn't you? He couldn't really talk about anything with the people he'd geassed, since there'd always be a chance they'd take his words as commands.
>>
How about every time he goes on TV he gives a command to "kill the emperor" or something? It seems whenever he's on TV like every fucking character in the series is watching, including Suzaku and all the other Knights of the Round.
>>
>>11292938
Still doesn't work through cameras
>>
>>11292932
I suppose he could add a "Simon says" rule. Like, "obey commands from me or Zero that we precede with 'Simon says.'"
>>
>>11291778
i was actually talking about rolo. momentum counts as a physical phenomenon, so people should be falling over if they're running when he uses his geass.
>>
The thing with Code Geass is that it doesn't have that many if any plot holes, but instead covers that up with a multitude of contrived scenarios.

That way, everything is very loosely explained by the plot to the point where everything doesn't make that much sense.
>>
>>11291218
SCIENCE is the answer to that
>>
How does Suzaku run up walls without special, sticky shoes?
