I want to be loved. I want to be touched.
Waiting for others to act made my world so cloudy
Until the day I met you
Call out my name so that it echoes across the sky
I'm sure the two of us will be fine even if we get lost
When we start walking, the world with take our side
And as the morning comes
We'll catch the wind our bodies
I will be next
For your sake
Call out my name so that it reaches me
The voice that echoes will change to wind
Reach out your hand and hold mine
It will make you smile
I want to be stuffed, I want to be cooked
So let us go.
We'll keep our eye on the present
Maria claims she is 17 at the beginning of the series. Between the first episode and the last episode over an entire year passes, Christmas happens twice and everyone ages a year.
Except for Maria of course, she remains 17, so so she claims.
There are only two possible explanations for this. The first is that she is lying, the second and more likely of the two is that she was born on February 29th on a leap year and that she is actually around 68 years old.
I will admit she looks really good for 68.
And walk forward
Through the season of flowers
And ever onward
I will pray so we can together
Maria's really a boy.
Am I supposed to hijack this thread with pics of a character I like better like you guys always do in HnG character threads?
Yeah, do a delicious Sayaka hijack.
Who the fuck is Sakaya?
I'm not really attracted to Maria, but if she was a guy that would make her much hotter.
I'd love to see MariaxMaria Rule 34.
maria is 158? isnt that short?
and saki is hot
Saki is hot. I don't have much hijack pics though.
wut. hijacking superior maria thread?
There is no superior Maria.
Also don't try taking "moral high ground" you Maria fags do this shit all the time.
hookers. meant to help out the pitiful since the begging of time.
God, Saki is so hot.
>>Also don't try taking "moral high ground"
Looks like she remembered to stuff today.
Why doesn't Hayate have a Saki path? I DEMAND MY SAKI PATH
Hayate isn't interested in Saki and Saki isn't interested in Hayate. Wataru would be too boring to play as, hence no Saki path.
hmmm... needs more Hi... never mind.
Hinagiku is fail. Needs more Kagami.
You stay away from this thread, LS fag.
Alright. Hinagiku isn't bad. Some of her fans have the tendency to be pretty fucking obnoxious though. hence the hostility.
Fuck you, everyone likes Kagami.
>>Some of her fans have the tendency to be pretty fucking obnoxious though.
This is not a thread about The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
I love Kagami Hiiragi as well as the next fanboy but please keep your faggotry from this thread and make your own Kagami thread.
best 2 girls from HnG. needed more screentime tho
>She's a girl manlier than a boy.
as long as shes not manlier than a man
This is a thread about Maria.
I am talking about fans of Hinagiku Katsura who bitch that the anime is fail because she doesn't get enough screen time and hijack and flood threads about other characters.
I associate SHiN with Kagami threads. I had no intention of doing a Kagami hijack.
>>I am talking about fans of Hinagiku Katsura who bitch that the anime is fail because she doesn't get enough screen time and hijack and flood threads about other characters.
Not too used to /a/ yet, huh? Enjoy your stay.
You should feel happy it wasn't hijacked by, oh, Touhou or Suiseiseki.
a peace offering.
it's okay. in season 2 there will be Hina overdose. you've heard it here first, /a/
I've been on /a/ for a long time. It doesn't mean I never get annoyed by faggotry.
Nobody does that shit anymore. God I remember when the DESU shit started up and I did everything I could to try to get it to not catch on. All in vain though.
That is a nice pic.
oh god, i just came and i came
This is my last Maria pic.
I'm honestly surprised there wasn't in the first season considering her popularity.
I was kind of happy about it too, she's a decent character, but she isn't particularly interesting and shouldn't be in a lead role in a comedy show.
Jeez. I don't even like Maria and i'm still impressed with these.
if you have read the manga, you'd be thinking otherwise.
The anime director was successful in brainwashing its viewers
Maria is adorable
What makes her interesting? She seems like boring tsundere Mary Sue, and this is coming from someone who generally likes tsundere characters.
maria going all kohaku? DO WANT!
She's cute. I don't really like her though.
I'll admit a large part of it is because she's played by Rie Tanaka.
A Mary Sue is a character without faults. But Hina has faults. She's afraid of heights, hates being alone and sometimes emotionally vulnerable. But thanks to Hayate, she overcomes some of her vulnerabilities.
Also she is also having a dilemma regarding Nishizawa - a newfound friend who she knows loves Hayate. But we know that Hina is deredere for Hayate. And then it becomes interesting from there.
But the anime has yet to show these scenes.
ugh, damn you for making me want to find more hayate shit to buy. the phone strap of maria is gonna cost about 16 after shipping. fuck.
Hina is a serious and dependable person, but her flirtatious side she shows to Hayate (still giggling about her "What's this, Hayate? Want to see?" teasing while fanning her chest, for example). It tempers her "serious" impression and shows that she's easily approachable, and that she's got a sense of humor.
I like her ability to make a difference and to overcome difficulties on her own.
Hina is EXTREMELY competitive and combative when she feels challenged. Tsundere = tsuntsun (mean) and deredere (kind, caring), and so far we haven't seen any "tsun" side of her yep, particularly not towards Hayate. A certain degree of tsun helps rounding out a character though, and we will be treated to that a bit later...
A character who is only dere is boring.
Emotionally vulnerable definitely fits. Hina is very emotional and very open about it - in the very first episode showing her, she got teary-eyed over the young bird in the nest. Nobody blushes cuter than her, and her mood swings from extremely happy to downcast to extremely mad are legendary. Very enjoyable to watch.
But there's more to her: She is very kind and caring by disposition, without falling into the "well-meaning but wimpy-moe" trap. She's a very good sport - see her reaction to her loss at the tournament. And most of all, she's not stuck up at all. She has all the makings and appeals of the ojousama type without the usual annoying air of superiority those characters usually exhibit.
However, what pushed her over the top and made Hina my favorite character ever will surface once we learn about her personal background, her fears and her hurts. It pains me that even though she definitely would be the best "match" to Hayate (him and her have alot in common), she still only has a total outsider chance of maybe 5% to have her "winning" in the end. Still - keep the hope alive, and her popularity count towering above the rest ^_^
Only reason I want season 2.
And because Saki is a moeblob version of Rin from Mnemosyne.
Incorrect, having a lack of noteworthy flaws is a common characteristic (And I could easily argue that those flaws aren't really noteworthy) but not a prerequisite for the classification.
Regardless, i'm not interested in continuing this line of conversation, so i'll move on from this point. I find the character to be largely bland, cliched and most importantly, boring.
She is a character in a comedy, but yet she is not funny. She is a character who falls for the main character and relies on him heavily for no good reason even though she's supposed to be emotionally strong.
>tl;dr BAWWWWWWWWW i don't like the hot character
i'm to blame for this shitstorm. damn.
Relies on him for what?
They help each other out, you know.
unfortunately not many people here share the same opinion as yours.
At the beginning of the series she actually did seem like a dependable character and somewhat interesting. She seemed to be reliable and flirted with Hayate in the early episodes, but she quickly devolved from there.
She's supposed to be a strong reliable character, but yet she is actually extremely weak and relies on Hayate when he's practically a complete stranger. Instead of flirting with him she now turns bright red and acts like an idiot any time she's around him.
the anime watered down her character. and i hate them for that. but then again, 99% of the time the manga is always leagues ahead of the anime.'
Practically every girl in that show is hot. Most of them have something going for them other than that, except for Hinagiku.
She seemed just about ready to rely on him for fucking everything. After I saw episode 48 i'm surprised she doesn't have him wipe her vag after she pees.
Totally original character DO NOT STEAL. It's just a coincidence that they dress her up like Utena.
wow lots of trolls around here.
She only freaks when she sees him in trap mode, but then that's from the anime, not the manga.
Tell us more:
Maria - more like Maria Sue
Nagi - shit sux
Ayumu - can't do shit against Hayate neither
Isumi - lol dumb
Sakuya - NOT FUNNY AT ALL
hina's two assistants are awesome. esp the meganekko
Not trolling, not intentionally at least. People who hijacked the thread disagree with my opinion, not really my fault here.
why would you watch utena...
Maria - Maria is like a wish fulfillment character, but she has a twist. She has a manipulative side which makes her interesting. She also almost seems like she enjoys picking on Hayate.
Nagi - Nagi is genuinely funny, has a lot of quirks and generally makes the show pretty amusing.
Ayumu - Ayumu is almost like a foil for Nagi and the other rich characters. Can be pretty funny at times too.
Isumi - Isumi isn't very interesting either. The whole getting lost constantly thing got boring about 30 episodes into Ranma.
Sakuya - Sakuya is funny and abusive. A good combo in this show.
Maria is actually intended to be a Mary Sue. She only lacks the empathy and humility.
(Maria and Makimura's Teenage Antics chapter WHERE?!?)
I think it's cause Ueda Kana + kansai = erection.
> Maria is actually intended to be a Mary Sue. She only lacks the empathy and humility.
Exactly, that's what makes her interesting, she's a twist from the normal archetype.
How the hell could you leave out Sakuya's precocious sexuality?
You need to watch Rental Magica.
Sakuya is gay too, right? It's Kana Ueda, so she has to be.
Because it's 7 AM and no one is actually reading what i'm writing, they're just getting butthurt because I don't like their boring wish fulfillment character.
Watched it, she had the accent in Nanoha too. It's the only time kansai is allowed.
Why do i not remember her being in Nanoha? Who did she play?
Hayate the kansai wheelchair loli.
She wasn't in the first season though, in case you never watched A's or Strikers.
But you like Maria.-
Didn't watch As or Strikers yet.
Maria, a wish fulfillment character? Kind of, but she has enough twists to make her interesting with her devilish manipulative side.
Besides she is a side character and belongs that way. She is not interesting enough to get more screen time than she already gets in the anime. In that way she is similar to Hinagiku.
