I've been thinking about Big O in general, and noticed some interesting parallels. Obviously, this is going to be spoiler heavy.

Basically, the idea of there being "Multiple truths" in Big O is what interested me. It's the conclusion Schwarzwald came to, that there isn't just one truth. In fact, in a sense, there IS one truth - just different ways of looking at it.

Big O was not literally a "Matrix" as the ending seems to imply. At least, if it is, that's a minor truth, not the major one. I'll try and explain this.

Another anime/series of light novels that used a very similar concept that you'll no doubt hate being dragged up is Haruhi Suzumiya.

We know Haruhi had some ability to recreate the world. However, there were three groups that viewed her as 3 different things - a "source of information", an anomaly in the time stream, and God. This reminds me an awful lot of the "multiple truths".

What really is of note though, is Yuki Nagato. Her "truth" seems to be reality - she can manipulate the Metrics of reality. She can give a baseball bat a "homing" property as if she was cheating in a game.
>>
Does this mean the universe is a computer program? No! It merely means that it's possible to look at it as if it was.

Allow me to point to Science - Science isn't true, isn't real. But it's a model that works for us, and allows us to do things - it's true to a given value.

Manipulating metrics, seeing the universe is data is no different. Because of their understanding of that science, they built their "Interfaces" around it just as we build circuits to take advantage of our understanding of electricity(Though that is more objective, it's just an example).

Basically, through a model of the universe that is built from digital data, Yuki Nagato can manipulate the universe as IF it was.

This is exactly what happened at the end of Big O. It wasn't a "Matrix". That was the representation of rewriting reality, because any model you build for doing so would probably be computerised, and look like a virtual simulation being reset - the model maps itself onto reality. But since you're changing reality itself, using that model, it can leave traces of itself - it doesn't just conform to your model in your head, you can show it to others too.

There is just one truth. There are multiple truths. The one truth has multiple facets.

BIG O! BIG O, BIG O, BIG O!

Oh man, worst theme song ever.

You are not considering many themes in your argument. Like the show actually being filmed aspect.

fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
>>
You've said nothing.
>>
>>11275221

And you have, sagefaggot? You destroy any hope of decent conversation on 4chan.

In b4 faux-witty comment as to how the original post wasn't decent conversation. Just stick your SAGE up where you belong and stop trying to be an INTERNET TOUGH GUY.
>>
>>11275367
No. I'm not even the same sagefag and I know that you really haven't said anything. You are just another tripfag trying to be deep, but it isn't real dept. It is shallow and whoresome.
>>
>>11275399

You could call anything shallow and whoresome. Literally. Back your shit up. Point out what's so awful about it, or else everyone is going to presume you're just another pathetic sagefaggot trying to get off on rejecting someone else's way of thinking.
>>
>>11275441

Also, I don't have to back my "theories" up to that extent since they're just idea. You're making an obnoxious claim about my original post while adding nothing yourself. I doubt you're even capable of thinking on a shallow, whoreish level.
>>
you are a faggot with a weak definition of truth
>>
Big O had a snazzy soundtrack.
>>
>>11275511

Again, back it up, or you're just shitflinging. Try to have some intelligent discussion for a change.
>>
My god. When did /a/ get bad? The first sign if intelligent discussion in weeks and you all scream PSEUDO INTELLECTUALISM.

Pathetic.

Oh wow. I bet you showed that to all your faggy friends sitting next to you in Computer Science class and had a right giggle.

Try animesuki or gaia, they'll think you're brilliant.
>>
>>11275773
It's too bad. I've never been able to find a good explanation of what was going on at the end of Big-O.

We really can't have nice things...
>>
>>11275821

Try /b/ or ED, they'll think you're brilliant.

Also try "An Hero", or whatever you kids call it these days. It would be beneficial for the rest of us.

Why is /m/ able to discuss this maturely and /a/ can't?

>>>/m/1484697

Why is nobody sageing it there if it's so pretentious and awful? And why does it seem that the "Pretentious" people have actual good grammar and arguments?
>>
>>11276285

Bump since you're all faggots and this is correct.
>>
Yiff in hell, /a/fags.

MOAR BIG O!
