"Anime is derived from cubism, and I don't see the defining traits amongst most of the characters there.
And coloring is a completely different subject altogether. That takes skill. Lots of it usually.
Insofar as I can see, the eyes are proportionate to head on most of the characters (5 eyes wide) and not any angles in body/facial construct, or at least none remaining given the highly rounded nature of the characters faces/bodies.
because once you really boil it down, anime/manga is really just a bunch of glorified traingles. Just like cubism is a bunch of glorified squares."
should have posted the pic this person was referring to.
sorry. here it is.
I really don't know if there's much to discuss here.
I'd say I'm more disinterested in the whole metastyle of anime. Because really, isn't the 'real world' full of really really really small circularish objects called atoms or something? yaaaaaaaa.
similarities != proof
Who originally wrote this? It's dumb.
i think we are a little confused.
the guy who originally said this, is saying this picture...the painting is NOT anime, except megaman...??? or am i confused?
There is no point being made here, thus there in nothing to disprove.
Oops, I mean, "is."
painting = anime?
guy hates anime, says drawing anime takes little talent
poster of painting says it does take skill
hater says painting is not anime and anime is all square shit
OP wishes to fucking disprove hater.
i say yes.
hater (btw claims to have taken tons of art classes) says its not anime, since its all proportional.
"Wrong, that isn't even anime, thats a picture BASED on characters that were originally anime. Well, except the megaman in the back, he's anime. Trust, me, I've taken several years worth of art classes, I know anime when I see it, and (excluding megaman) this is not it. THIS IS NOT IT!"
>Trust, me, I've taken several years worth of art classes, I know anime when I see it,
Whoa, shit! We're up against a master here!
You've got to tell him that anime isn't really one defined style or genre on its own; there are lots of differences depending on design, artist, studio, etc. There's low quality stuff and high quality stuff, just like in American animation.
>Whoa, shit! We're up against a master here!
Because all anime has exactly the same style
they're not necessarily spheres, or sphere-like objects, we only think of them that way to make things easier.
Thank you, why didn't i think of that sooner, ..stupid slow..but it is..4AM over here.
It's 4 A.M. here too, buddy.
LUCKY STAR IS ORIGINAL
Yeah, you can't "Know anime when I see it" because there is no such thing as "Anime style."
Anime simply means cartoons that come from Japan. Nothing more.
Yes,there is. Otherwise people wouldn't be able to distinguish anime/manga from western comics.
IS IT SHITSTORM TIME YET
At this time, it may be worth pointing out that The Obachan Seducer#niggah.
Anime or Western? Just because it's drawn by a Japanese guy in Japan, doesn't make it anime.
How did you crack my passsword? I've been trying to crack Cirno's for a long time now...
with regards from the real Oba-chan Seducer.
>Anime or Western? Just because it's drawn by a Japanese guy in Japan, doesn't make it anime.
origin of character does not determine whether the drawing is anime or not.
Anime is used as a term to describe Japanese cartoons. They may be drawn in Korea, but since the original designs comes from the likes of Oda or Kishimoto, they are ANIME.
He'll just change it the second someone cracks it, you know. I've seen him use 3 different word tripcodes before, so I know he has them.
I know that...
Especially since all animation is done in Korea, anyway.
Is this anime?
Is this thread shit?
I loved the intro to this.
Here is a picture of Peach Fuzz.
Anime means cartoon in Japanese.
thought it's just a shortened form for "Animation"
