Our world is coming to and end /a/

No more torrents or downloads...
>>
OH NOES ANIME PIRACY IS DOOMED
>>
>>10263038

In other words, /a/ is doomed!
>>
Isn't that just for Japanese residents / ISP's though? Why should you care unless you live in Japan?

Wont make a difference, lol encrypted networks.
>>
>>10263130

So how exactly do you think we're going to get uploads? From Japan.
>>
fuck yeah pop-up pirate
>>
Hmmm.

Interesting.

However, if there is a way to get around it, China will find it.
>>
Well...

FUCK
>>
elevens have already moved beyond winny, piracy won't end
>>
>>10263227

Yep, the same country that banned youtube will find the answer.

I'd be more worried if this gave some of our friends in Washington some funky ideas.

Can't have that.

China is the capitol of piracy.
>>
This will, of course, work flawlessly, just like every other attempt to filter Internet traffic based on content, and certainly won't cause anyone to switch to other ISPs that don't join the voluntary agreement.
>>
>>10263307

Sounds good on paper, or on screen. Probably will fail. Let's see what comes after torrents.

Oh but of course. All these companies are doing is signing their bankruptcy papers.

Yeah?

Well, a 250000 fine didn't stop Americans from pirating movies and this is JAPAN we are talking about!

They don't even say how it'll be done, so we can't even gauge how effect it really would be.

If people got around comcast, then they'd probably will be able to get around whatever jap ISPs have to offer.

And are there ways to block IRC and usenet access?

I started watching Spice and Wolf because of file sharing. I will buy the dvd because I like it. If I had never downloaded the file, I would have never known if I liked the show, thus I would have never bought the DVD. The way I see it, I take it and give them a donation.

Filesharing has led me to buy many DVDs. This will only hurt them (In terms of foreign markets). Of course, they will find a way around this.

>>

lols winny user.
>>
I have a question /a/, since people have brought morals into this thread.

Why should I buy anime DVD's when I can download sub's from fan groups that do a much better job at translating, typesetting and distributing and don't try to extort its userbase by doing retarded things like putting 2-3 episodes of an anime on 1 DVD.

I don't mind paying for good quality products if they are priced reasonably, but anime dvd's distributed in the west are far from good quality products and are far from being reasonably priced.
>>
hahahaha

Wouldn't it be nice if we were no longer able to download anime!

I'd finally be able to get on with my life. I only hope they still find a way to get Geass 2 out, but after that, I think I'd live.

Lol, who exactly is the moralfag here? I don't give a shit either way, it's just amusing to see how many of you thieves can't let that slip by. Cry more thieving faggots.
>>
>>10263883

Depends on where you get them from.

And while I mostly agree with your sentiment, sub groups do pull stupid shit because their userbase complains about them.

I'm looking at you Menclave.

No, really.

gb2animesuki or wherever the fuck you crawled out of.

>>
>>10263918

Its a loaded statement, of course people won't let it slip by.

But good trolling, I'll give you that.
>>
>>10263899
yeah

this is just out of Japan. Even if they have to be sent through an encrypted VPN, as long as one gaijin gets them, they'll be able to release them to the world. However, it will make life harder for the Elevens.
>>
>>10263842

So do you buy things even if you didn't like it? Even if you do buy things afterwards it doesn't change the fact that you're still stealing. Enjoy being in denial. Lol.
>>
>>10263918

Nobody's crying; a few misinformed individuals that haven't figured out the 3000 other ways to get raws are just panicking a little, that's all.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what these ISPS do, because we're getting our raws anyway.

somehow.

ps

lol Japan.

For us, little will change. For the Elevens...

well, they need to find a new filesharing network.

not the first time they tried to do this.

There's always one or two Answermen in these threads. I would say "ignore them", but that's pointless.

Just rate them, and piss them off.

They already did. It's called Share. Winny is oldshit these days. Share is encrypted and anonymous.

They couldn't stop 'em when they attempted to prosecute the guy who created Winny. What makes you think they'll stop them now? Even if they get into Share, someone else will just create a new network with even more encryption.
>>
>>10264096

Then all you faggots here can learn to speak teh Japanese and we can all be weeaboos! ^_^
>>
You can easily get caught with P2P clients, but not torrent clients if you block the right peers. With the right tweeking, the Safepeer addon for Azureus is so safe you could download a torrent called "Child Pornography Collection" and the FBI wouldn't know it. There will still be anime, don't worry my friends.
>>
That's not true there is no true security with p2p
>>
>>10264125

haha

you think share is encrypted well? think again

newest p2p right now is perfect dark but even then i'm not sure how safe it is
>>
>>10264125
Also, most fansub groups or RAW providers on TT etc. grab the raws direct from Share and then distribute. As Share is anonymous and other countries haven't signed up to this yet, how exactly is it all going to dry up?
>>
>>10264125
Exactly. When you destroy big sharingnetworks, a lot of smaller networks will arise. These networks are often more difficult to track.

Look at what happened when Napster went down.

I'll bet it's some form of BOT that will be quickly ID'd and then blocked/spoofed by a patch/update within a week or two.

People who download that seem to DISAPPEAR.
>>
>>10264260
Much slower downloads overall. Too much to go into the technical reasons why but its going to be slower to encrypt every packet going out and then decrypting it when you get it.

There are reasonably priced solutions especially if you live in Europe if you care about privacy so much. I remember a while back some cheap slots for hopping onto a some Swedish companies darknet they created and it encrypts everything that you see and do.

Anyway I don't live in Japan and don't understand moonspeak. I cannot get most of the shows I want to watch, when I want to watch it unless I download from fansubbers. Of course I can always go the route of waiting for a show to be licensed... waiting for DVD's to maybe come out in a year or so and then having to deal with extra costs for shipping and handling. Nuh uh. I live in the 21st century and I hate dubs. I have the internet the get me the shows both English and Japanese when I want to watch it. I don't want to set up my schedule around air times or DVD releases.

P.S. Most anime DVD releases are way overpriced.

excuse me kind sir...what is this b-u-y you speak of?

The concept is quite simple. You send money to a compnay that will give you a dvd for it.
>>
>>10264514
Yeah. It's a magical machine that turns money into DVDs!

I wish I had one, but can't seem to find them anywhere.
>>
>>10264401

k so it's hard to decrypt and encrypt when you get it or send it, so why don't we make it rar style where we encrypt it all at once and decrypt it all at once?
>>
>>10264554

That makes too much sense for my liking.

this will work just as well as all the other anti-piracy measures that have been established, amirite?

If its anything like the ones that the UK is planning, then they won;t be effective.

In the Uk an offender will have to do it 3 times to be banned from an isp.

This does not stop them reconnecting with a different isp. Given that there are at least 50 isp's in the UK I don't see it doing all that much to stop piracy.

>>10263292

underage much?
