I don't care what anybody says, I love Togashi's artstyle
I quite like it.
It's great when he actually tries. Read early YYH.
His wife actually draws them nowadays.
...clenching the pencil with her pussy?
quality truck here is almost as awesome as quality van
The awesome thing about being HXH's mangaka isn't that I can draw however shitty I want to, it's that they're still paying me for this!
hahaha, i know where is this from but, still, it looks like if berserk were made in the late 90's.
No she doesn't. She actually laughed about that on her blog and said it wasn't true.
Anyways. Togashi is indeed great when he tries. I recently read through Volumes 1 - recent and watched the art change. The story didn't stop staying incredible though and his art isn't terrible, so it's all good.
Needs faster drawing. The sooner this story ark is over, the better. It's by far the worst. The best was York Shin City of course.
If it bothers you that much, get the volume release.
I will still red HxH even if its drawn as stickmen
York shin was incredible.
But I feel each of these storylines have been great in their own way.
Doesn't bother me one bit, but I do wonder whether he could pull that stunt off if he hadn't his big name attached to this.
True enough, but some of the storylines have had their faults. Greed Island for example had way too much training and power-mongering. This Chimaera ants storyline hasn't had much of a story at all, which is why I don't like it. Out of nowhere comes a bunch of ridiculously overpowered foes with little to no backround and personality. They are literally grown. I much prefer it when the villains are ones that have supposedly gained power out of their own effort, instead of simply having gained them from being born. I like the Genei Ryodan very much, and was quite pleased when they took care of the ants in the hive. I didn't know Feitan was male before that, which kinda freaked me out.
Ah, I can't disagree with you there. The sudden powerful enemies just randomly appearing did throw me off as well.
I'll be pissed if Gon beats Nefelpitou as well though. She's supposed to be this being with a "HUGE POWER", surviving one of Netero's huge Dragonball Z style attacks as well as beating Kaito. I just hope Gon injures her or something and someone else takes over.
Is Pitou is a female or a male.. I prefer to think of her as a female because of the ammount of hentai I've seen for her.
I think Pitou is male. Once you fap to a trap, there's no going back.
Hunter x Hunter is good because there have been a few times where Gon doesn't win against the enemy. It would be quite good if Gon couldn't even inflict a single injury, but I'm pretty sure he'll win, or at least achieve something useful, since it's basically a battle concerning Kaito. But you never know.
I'm quite disappointed at things like this. Usually if someone loses their arm or leg, the pain and suffering seems pretty much negliable, and doesn't hurt their fighting at all. Well, I can't say if it's realistic or not, maybe their adrenaline cancels the pain. Then again, whenever someone loses an arm or a leg, they'll get it back soon enough, either by being healed or getting a kick-ass cybernetic limb that is better than the original.
Well, Gon was constantly saying things like "Argh it hurts" while fighting him. I expect he was fighting Gensuru with all his will power.
You have to remember exactly what Gon's been through already, he's pretty much made out of rock by now.
If a normal person got their arm cut off though, they would be too busy writhing on the ground to care(or so I would think).
Sure, and it was also part of his plan(I think), so it wasn't too unexpected.
Yeah. Now that I think about it from the flashback which showed him asking Bisuke why Gensuru's hand doesn't get hurt, it does seem like it was part of his plan.
Are there any better scans for volumes 19 and earlier? I could only find the redrawn ones for 20+
This was awesome.
HxH went to shit once they started the Cell saga. I don't know what happened to him, he just got super lazy or something?
YYH's characters were so ugly. Not badly drawn, yeah, but really ugly.
I think we just need to face it: his primary talent does not at all lie in art.
If you mean the "art", he had some alien disease or something like that.
Forgot to click your post.
Oooooh, I didn't know they actually improved for the volumes. Awesome, right now I'm buying it and rereading it in French to practice.
This part freaked me the fuck out.
;_; I liked him in the exam as well.
Thanks. I tried navigating through nexgear's website, but I can't tell if its supposed to be a social networking site or a scanlation website.
What's with the volume-based art? Surely Togashi didn't draw it again, for that seems pointless? If someone else drew it, then why didn't he use that method when drawing the normal chapters? It's not like they were released on a weekly basis.
Here's what I think.
I expect he wanted a long rest, so Jump asked him to just send the chapters he's done in rough to them and they would show them as they were. I expect he went over them gradually for the Volume releases.
I think that's what Togashi does. He draws them in rough drawing first, then he goes over them.
That's what I'd like to know as well. He's taking huge breaks for whatever reasons and by some means cleaned up tanks turn up somewhere down the road. Then why not release the cleaned up chapters in the first place? It's not as if waiting another month or two would have made any difference to the readers.
It would be nice if he released them monthly
The King is way cooler than Cell could ever be (aside from Cell's campy factor). Even though HxH is technically Shounen it's like Togashi is using it to contrast how shitty most of other Shounen is.
Indeed. He wouldn't be the first author wo made the switch because hih couldn't keep up the schedule. Hell, Araki went monthly after doing 7 weekly series in a row and he's more now awesome than ever.
Lol look at the distinct difference in the quality of the BG and the character. Togashi clearly drew the character while one of his assistants drew the BG...
Togashi doesn't hire assistants. (he can if he wants to)
That's the reason why his art has been so craptacular for a while
