Night shift /a/ , what is your opinion about anime in the future ? is it anime with all 3D content, anime with more than 3 frame per sec , higher resolution ? or what ?
More dvd fixes required, censorship of even panty flashes.
I'm expecting more high res anime.
nighttime /a/ isn't any better since it's the weekend.
Isn't anything animated 4d already?
4 dimensional anime.
>Daytime /a/ Sucks
Well no shit. But try saying that during the day and all the little shits will BAWWWWWW, saying stuff like "/a/ is shit all da time not just nao stfu faget hurr", etc.
more naruto LOL
Night time /a/ has started.
It feels good to be back.
daytime /a/ makes me fucking vomit
sadly, this is probably what's going to happen. Nightshift isn't here on the weekend, come back in a few days.
I'm never awake during dayshift /a/ because of my work schedule and timezones, but I was awake earlier for some of their posts and boy, it seems the average intelligence decreases by twenty during the day.
Too many people from Gaia/AnimeSuki/ANN trying to turn the place into their own little den.
Anime that faps for you.
New techniques are good for saving money, and maximizing the talent available, but the best part about the 00's and beyond is that directors are getting significantly more creative control over their projects. This is producing amazing results.
Moot should give a mod ultimate ban-power and uphold rigid anti-faggotry measures.
>>10244621Anime that faps to you
IN SOVIET RUSSIA
Probably more moe and shounen shit in the mainstream. luckily obscure artsy titles like bartender and wolf and spice keep getting produced so its not complete shit yet.
Wolf and Spice is part of the hoard of shit that's coming out of Japan. The real gems are titles like Mononoke, Kemonozume, Kaiba, etc.
You're just one of those guys who lives in a bubble supported by /a/'s taste. You only really like what /a/ currently deems as "Obscure yet likable." It's pretty sad, but that's what 80% of /a/ is like. Pathetic.
high-res anime that puts loads of money into time-saving and effort-saving techniques so it can make million-dollar backgrounds, while at the same time everything in the foreground gets blander and blander except for three or four scenes which eat 80% of the anime's entire budget because they make the director hard
also all anime will be moe, shounen, gay, boring, or obscure
High-res anime is pretty pointless save for a few titles.
What would be the purpose of having H2O or Myself ; Yourself in High-def, for instance?
Both traditional and 3D. I doubt the quality of animation would improve anytime soon since the anime industry is a slump and well trained (with experience) animator are hard to find in Japan.
Though the quality is all generalize and based on TV series. Animation is a industry, studio has to pump out products after products to get any profit. Studio will take shortcuts and that will result in bad animation, drawings, backgrounds, shitty stories etc. As for movies, ova/oav it will be different, because studio will have a higher budget and resources put in to those more than the TV series. Some amazing work can be produce if the studio do put a lot of resources into ONE product. This is why Japanese animation studio usually have a lot of bad animation just because they are working way too many titles at the same time.
tl;dr TV series will continue with quality episodes in the beginning then turn shit midway and ends with an amazingly well drawn last episode. Animation will be combination of traditional and 3D. Movies/ova will have higher quality than TV series because more resources are pour for it. The anime industry will not last if it continues the way it is.
Calm down. Some people like slow shows like Spice and Wolf.
itt people pretend like they don't read at least one of the big three.
Also, chapters were translated today, what do you fucking expect?
I'd have to agree with you to an extent. As average animation quality increases, average costs go up. It's not really a linear rise as technology and techniques change, but the costs probably rise faster than the profits do. Even comedies shoot for quality animation: I recall that Haruhi got a lot of praise among fans for its animation, and that was a large factor in the Kyoto Animation cocksucking that persisted until they then beat their fandom in the faces with moeblob after moeblob till even the most dedicated fled in tears. Point is, costs go up, but if they go up faster than the profits, the anime industry slows and dies.
This. I'm personally loving it.
Daytime /a/ sucks because it's full of little faggots who have nothing better to do during the day because they fail at life. They are at home during the day for a reason.
Granted the night shift is full of losers too, they actually know shit. I don't know why people who stay up til 4-5AM are better posters than the dayfags, but they just are.
Everyone not from America will tell you it's because of timezones. Not being from America myself, I can tell you this is straight up bullshit.
I am American I come in peace. Would you like Hotdog?
I am an American, and it is 3 AM. I generally try to make this board a better place. It is impossible during daytime USA /a/ hours because there is a massive flood of underage b& here.
If you met your average teenage American anime fan, you'd know why we don't like posting during that time.
You must be retarded. We operate by 4chan timezone, aka Eastern here, nobody cares where you come from.
The timezone part is bullshit, or the Nighttime is better than Daytime part?
The timezone part. The latter is, well, undeniable.
Nighttime /a/ is crap, come back 2 years ago when were were planning the Milhouse GET.
An American can be a good person.
Americans in a group cannot. It is proven.
They really shouldn't do 3D ive seen few cases where it works and some where it fails miserably and just has a weird look.
I think that's indicative of the human race.
A person is, on average, intelligent. Groups are worthless.
>>10245697come back 2 years ago when were were
I had to stop.
To compound upon that, we're all Anonymous whether you have a tripcode or not. Anonymity leads to trolling.. but better trolling than genuine stupidity.
I can't wait until Lucky Star Season 3 comes out in smellivision. Hey, Konata smells like us, she must really be a true otaku! Kagami smells like cinnamon and lighter fluid, while Tsukasa smells like angel food cake and springtime.
Right. and the advantage of /a/ is the lack of status. No one can claim to be here "longer" or post "more", and there isn't a ridiculous distribution of power over content.
The best anime and manga discussion board on the net. It's nighttime /a/, so I feel comfortable saying this.
I bet trying to comprehend what I could've meant shut your brain down.
Come back when you graduate elementary school.
nighttime /a/ isn't that much better than daytime /a/
sure, nighttime posters are a bit smarter, but daytime /a/ talks about anime more, with less dumb threads and circlejerks, and tends to be faster
also the dumbest tripfags only come out after midnight
I think the biggest change we will see in our life time is how easy it will become to animate. Right now computer applications have made creating polished manga doujinshi far easier than it used to be. What I look forward to in the future is anime doujinshi.
>but daytime /a/ talks about anime more
Quality over quantity.
>and tends to be faster
This isn't always a good thing. It's usually the opposite.
>with less dumb threads and circlejerks, and tends to be faster
You seriously have no idea what constitutes a good imageboard.
Says the tripfag who's actually bothers to sage replies.
Go back to gaia
>with less dumb threads and circlejerks
are you AWAKE when you browse?
all anime will remain in 3fps and 5 colors.
>>The best anime and manga discussion board on the net.
AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. If this the 'best' then this hobby is truly hell.
OP here, in case of "anime with 3D content" which shows has good 3D animation
I've been to daytime /a/ before. I've had decent discussions on daytime /a/. That being said after the horrors I experienced today holy shit, I am never going to /a/ any time other than between midnight and sunrise again.
Maybe it's because i've been to so many other shitty forums where there is so little individual thought among the members.
Plus, I like to watch trolls work. This place is a great troll-breeding ground. It hones masters of the art.
I love how /a/ ALWAYS needs a 'them' to conflict with. /jp/ lost interest so we turn on ourselves.
We've been arguing about nighttime /a/ for about a year, before any /jp/.
Well it's certainly my favorite.
It's been like this for a while.
>>so little individual thought among the members.
Because 4chan is KNOWN for its varied opinions. Any board with a 'hivemind' and so predictable users post the SAME EXACT phrase in the same second has the same caliber of problems. Just less :3 and more bitter raging faggots.
You need to look past the faulty posts of /a/. Just now, if you look outside this thread, you'll see an anime recommendation thread that is going very well.
That sort of thing wouldn't happen anywhere else. People outside of /a/ are less knowledgeable, and would be more afraid of offering their opinions because of status.
>Just less :3 and more bitter raging faggots.
I wouldn't have it any other way!
I am unique, and very opinionated. I don't let others influence my tastes.
WEST COAST COMING THROUGH, also anime in the future will look very different in character design but will act just the same. finally, moe backlash.
I don't think this place breeds them, only attracts them. I was an awesome troll long before 4chan even existed, and I bet i'm not the only one.
You do improve by trolling other trolls though. I would say I was an excellent troll when I came here around 3 years ago, but now my skills have reached a god-like level.
>>Just now, if you look outside this thread, you'll see an anime recommendation thread that is going very well.
>>That sort of thing wouldn't happen anywhere else.
lol what? Most forums have stickies with the same recommendations and less remove X, shit sux, you're a fag for not watching Y, etc.
>>People outside of /a/ are less knowledgeable
>>and would be more afraid of offering their opinions because of status.
? Not much to
>I was an awesome troll long before 4chan even existed, and I bet i'm not the only one.
4chan was the first place where I did something other than troll. Message boards just aren't any fun because everyone sucks. The only way to derive entertainment out of them is to fuck everything up.
You guys are different, at least.
anime in the future
That was a shitty thread and it's gone completely to shit.
I knew it!
You need to lurk more.
I'm the OP.
Just as Planned.
>>You need to lurk more.
Predicable as always. I'm sure if I justify the time I waste here it will somehow become a magical place of wonder.
From the OP of that thread:
>OP here: Huge thanks to everyone who helped. I took a mental note of the shows that were recommended multiple times, and will check them out.
>If by some miracle this thread hasn't 404d by tomorrow morning I will check again. Otherwise, I'll make a new topic based on what I learned here.
So yes, fuck you.
If you expected some beautiful paradise from here you really do need to lurk more.
Exactly why it was a fail thread. People fed the newfag/troll.
Helping new guys evolve their anime tastes are bad?
It won't, you're just wasting time and should leave now and go to a better board.
Never expected that. Just couldn't imagine that anyone thinks this place is special just because everyone is a raging faggot.
Not when they don't have anime tastes to begin with.
Fuck, you got me.
Made a typo. Deleted post.
Helping new guys evolve their anime tastes is bad?
You call that help?
I like this board because I can say what I want to without fearing the banhammer in normal circumstances.
Granted I get it when I cross the line, but the loose moderation and not having to log in are good features. It also gets a lot of traffic so I can actually find interesting discussions.
I suddenly have troll-panic.
Thanks for the nice rating. Seriously though, the newfag admitted he didn't like anime other than CB. I really see no reason to help someone who isn't capable of finding a few shows he likes before he asks for help.
Maybe we should set standards in the future for anime requests.
Back when I was a newfag I thought CB was the pinnacle of anime too. Not anymore, obviously, but I like to bust people out of their shells.
Better posters on /a/ are created through sound advice.
When I was a newfag CB didn't exist yet. Maybe i'm being a crankly oldfag here, but I really don't feel the need to help someone who hasn't put forth any effort to help himself.
Furthermore by his own admission he wasn't open to things, which makes me want to help him less. Honestly, i don't see someone like him becoming a decent poster, if he even decides to stick around he'll probably be a "Cowboy Bebop is the only good show"-fag.
> Maybe we should set standards in the future for anime requests.
It wouldn't be a bad idea actually. If he had made a post like that on /h/ he would have gotten banhammered with the quickness.
And without even giving him a shot, you had your hand in encouraging that. Nice job.
Sup guy who fought with me in the other thread. Yeah I had my hand in making him that way, but my posts encouraged him to be that way somewhere other than here.
If he wants to do it on /b/ or wherever the fuck he usually posts, it's fine by me, as long as he goes the hell away.
different dissenter, actually. But it's probably better for you if you think that. And telling the retards to leave generally works, right? This place is immaculate all the time, of course.
I figured you were the same person because you used the same type of backwards logic as the other fag. I've identified too many anons lately anyways, it's probably better I was wrong this time.
No typically telling a retard to go the hell away will not work, but refusing to help someone who doesn't like anime and to go away will probably get him to go fuck off. This is because he doesn't like anime to begin with and had no reason to stay, unless we give it to him.
