what was wasted?
if you want to watch a show about a bunch of edge lords being edgy lordy, go watch KLK
Kotoura and C3. I had huge hopes for them from their first episodes, and they turned out to be complete shit.
RGZ should be full-size.
And Garada-chan needs merch.
blunder of the century.
black blood brothers was on the way to greatness and was killed after one season. so much potential lost.
The OVA is out and nobody is subbing it.
It was interesting until the shifters thing.
Kamisama had no potential but actually managed to make a couple of really emotional episodes. I'd say it exceeded my expectations
When they introduced that stuff it started to get so... generic.
A good thing they didn't made it a big part of the expedition arc.
TacoCat's subs are alright.
But Kaminai was good.
Bleach. It had such a good start and could've been so good. Goddamn that show is so garbage now.
The three first chapters were good
R;N. Alright show but needed a better balance between Robo-bu hijinks and the world-destroying conspiracy stuff.
The mc was sort of dull too. Frau Bow would have been better.
And so were Class 3-4 and Ortus.
Naruto after the showdown in the valley of the end.
but shovel loli never had potential
Couldn't agree more, first 3 eps were so promising. Then I literally fell asleep in the following eps and I had to drop it.
Learn Japanese. Read the manga.
>the MC was sort of dull
That's because you haven't played enough Kill-Ballad.
Anyways here's my choice for greatest letdown of 2013.
I really wanted to like the show. It looked cool and I was looking forward to it.
Then I heard Yuuki Kaji.
They wasted to chance to not have Yuuki Kaji play the MC as the edgy main character in an edgy show.
Durarara shouldn't have switched focus to the three most important high schoolers in Ikebukuro. The first half was so brilliant
Series that lived up to their potential would probably be a much shorter list
>Chinese Electric Batman
The whole idea of the setting was pretty interesting, the execution was anything but flawless.
I enjoyed it and all, but it could have been so much more
Too bad it turned in to Yuri pandering garbage.
To this day I have no idea why they didn't just scrap the recap episodes and write a better second half.
you don't fuck around with the most sacred of yuri bonds
the anime was far better than the manga, even with the shit reaction after he discovers whats going on in the family.
>tfw no more 'Yomi ;_;' threads
Yuri. Pandering. Garbage.
Soul Eater. Like, goddamn.
Shigofumi having a fantastic couple of starting episodes and continuing to be pretty solid up until episode 7 when the series went full retard and made Fumika/Kirameki the main focus. Thank god for episode 10.
i love DTB's first season, i think they kind of lost their way in the second season. but if you read the manga it explains things alot more clearly as to whats actually happening instead of "OH SHIT WTF JUST HAPPENED?".
you cannot say that the ova's were not good though, pulled my heart right out of my chest.
How did it end anyway? It took sucha dive in quality after Babayaga's castle that I stopped reading not long after that arc.
Did SnK just steal their costume designs?
Maka, Black Star, and Kid fight the Kishin on the moon after he absorbs Crona's black blood and becomes even more monstrously powerful.
A bunch of boring chapters of fighting.
All three of them get levels ups during the battle.
Lord Death dies and Kid becomes the new death, Maka get's a black dress, Black Star gets a broken arm which somehow makes him more powerful than his teammates.
Maka and soul plunge into the Kishin's black blood to awaken Crona, then Crona uses Brew and his/her own black blood to trap him on the moon foreeeeeeverrrrrr.
>Soul Eater NOT is getting an anime.
>Gut girls doing cute things
Not that Soul Eater was spectacular to begin with, not it's just nosediving into mediocrity.
I enjoyed what was here at least.
Did someone say wasted potential?
C3 is absolutely right, but the first episode was nothing special. It turned into something great mid-season by ditching all of the comedy slice of life stuff and going straight for the literary jugular with a great classic character story. Then the final episode happened and ruined everything. Then the extra episode happened just to spit on its grave.
I don't know what crazy disgruntled scriptwriter at Gainax was responsible for almost making something good out of moe airshit, but I am so disappointed that they reigned them in.
>anime original crap ending
>manga ending managed to be shit too
>author blatantly ended SE because he wanted to work on SENot!
>which is cute girls doing cute things
>and THAT is getting the anime (not like SE manga would deserve a "Brotherhood" show, considered how ridicolous is the ending there)
This is why we can't have nice things, fucking Japan.
(SE was good/decent until Baba Yaga, then nosedived until author simply gave up)
It may not have been flawless but it was anything but bad
I wouldn't call it wasted potential
It's still better than most series. Just forget the ending happened.
>Rushed: The Anime
Each arc had enough material for twice as many episodes. Felt like an extended clip show.
