Since /jp/ killed my thread, I come here pleading your aid.

I'm sure this is a very frequent question but How do I into japanese language? I'm looking for tools, ressources, video classes and books. I'm aware of the learningjapanesewithanon guide but I question its accuracy and I'd like to learn from a reliable source or multiple sources (i.e. you) as to find a path for my learning.
