Any there any Tesabros left?
Nobody has been subbing it.
Are the VAs on drugs all the fucking time?
Is & kill?
I hope not. I love this show but it's been forever. How many episodes are there (total, not just subbed)?
12 + 6 bonus episodes.
Can someone with moon skills inspect/correct the English translation of the OP lyrics? I think it was mentioned in the previous thread.
Now! The camera quickly pans up from the bottom and the logo shows up with a thud!
She sits by the window and stares out wistfully
Then closing her eyes she sees an uncomprehensible world
The light of the sun shines in
And suddenly she notices something and looks up at the sky
(This leads into...!)
The part where we introduce everybody
All of us, one by one
Our characters are established as we show up on screen!
And now we're running! - We're reaching out our hands!
For now, if we do this, it'll look like your average OP
We're turning around! - We're facing each other and standing up!
Now we've run out of cuts doing this!
(The production committee's gonna show up, so everybody line up!)
The second verse is always a problem
Because we already say all the important things in the first one
We could make up a story that isn't even in the actual show
Like, giving hints of some deep world view or something
But there isn't anything like that - Really, there isn't
Most second verses are done by luck anyway!
But it's all right in the end - Thank you God
And like this we managed to sing that somehow
(They said they'll probably use the second verse too, so everybody line up!)
The bird flaps his wings - And the wind flows
In this part we tried to put some beautiful words together
They changed the musical key! - Let's try our best!
If we repeat it one more time, it'll sound like it's the last chorus!
We're being too honest - There aren't rules anymore
After all we just did it by intuition until the end!
(It'll be fine as long as the ending part sounds good, so everybody line up!)
Stand up! Stand up!! Stand up!!! Stand up!!!!

Are they still looking for translators?
Why is she so prefect?
New ED was great.
Also how do I make clean stitches except for painstakingly choosing parts of the screen without text?
Yeah, it's actually Koharun's character song.
I wonder if they're going to use their character songs now, like they did with gdgd.
Can't wait for Yua's Chachachacha.
Some more art from Twitter.
Holy shit, I was going to start the usual thread tomorrow. Thanks, man.
Also they posted another interview with the director and producer. I haven't read it all, but they talked about their working schedule, among other things. I will try to find it.
tfw you'll never be a staff member and have aoi's VA lusting for you
So they are uploaded on YT after all? I've been growing tired of using proxies just to listen to the radio.
Only that one I think.
I've been using Japanese VPNs from here
It's faster and it always works.
Found the interview: http://www.animate.tv/news/details.php?id=1392328242&p=1
It's too long to translate whole, so just a few retold extracts.
>They were first told about the second season in November 2013 (that's two months before it should have started)
>With so little time they seriously thought about filming first several episodes live
>They started recordings for the second season in the beginning of December. The voice parts of first four episodes of Encore plus radio were done the same day as the commentary for the 3rd BD. In total they had to record 16 pieces in a day.
>The script for all episodes was also done in the first half of December. The director says, bsaically when the staff was not sleeping, they were working
Jesus Christ, that's insane.
Wait so the thing about not being able to complete the animation in the first episodes wasn't a joke?
>The voice parts of first four episodes of Encore plus radio were done the same day as the commentary for the 3rd BD. In total they had to record 16 pieces in a day.
Holy fuck. They should get their shit together. At least delay the second season a cour.
Please see >>102256644 onegai
Apparently, it wasn't. The last part of the 1st Encore episode was done by animation director during the New Year's, if the director isn't exaggerating. I hope he is.
English is my second language anyway, so I am not too sure about style and stuff, but sense-wise it looks alright. Maaybe I would replace the "All of us, one by one
Our characters are established as we show up on screen!" part with "Please, make sure to properly introduce all the characters".
I see, it was posted in a previous thread and I was enjoying it but someone said it was wrong so I wanted to know. Thanks.
A bit more from the interview.
>Because they don't have enough time, the director doesn't check the finalized episodes. He does sound editing and then just passes it to the animation director.
>"The title "Encore" also holds the message of "Please, don't raise the hurdle any more". It's already a miracle that we have made 12 more episodes"
But they still say they like what they are doing. The director is also glad he got to make a two-cour, because his company is fairly new and is not guaranteed to get an order.
How raw can Ishidate get?
I'm really glad that they seem to be doing quite well in both sales and in Nicovideo. They have to keep going, especially with the meta stuff. I also love the freedom they seem to have.
Lastly, the director's take on his anime.
>His main weapon is "distance to the viewer". He doesn't get too much money to do what a well-drawn anime can, and he tries to convey the atmosphere of a school festival done by your friends.
>The first season was supposed to be the story of Koharun's "growth" under the influence of the other characters. The theme of the second season is "There is no need to be bound by form".
Yes, good job.
Oh shit, actually took a break to check the catalog for this thread not really thinking it'll be there since it never is, but what do you know. Not really sure how to contribute on such short notice, but damn am I glad I found it.
Wait, that makes even less sense...
Man I wish my Japanese was better, I sometimes get lost in the ad-libs, otherwise I'd sub the episodes myself. I don't know why but I fucking love this show.
I don't blame her, Inoue is ikemen as fuck.
Ha, that's exactly my case as well. I'm more or less alright with it until they start with the ad-libs. Kept trying to start on it several times but always end up lost at some point during the ad-libs. So anything I'd do would end up the same as &'s with plenty of missing lines which would be pretty bloody pointless. Really wish a group with a good translator would pick this up. Or at least CR. Their subs aren't the best, but they can be polished. And most important of all, they have actual translators on the job. Eh, not like wishing ever changed anything...
Also, preparing something after catching up on the two episodes I was behind with.
Hina getting bullied hard.
I have yet to understand this completely, and I must've watched it over ten times already. I'm as confused as everyone there was to be honest. Though I guess that made it even better.
e wo kakanakya ikenai no ni egokoro wo kaiteiru
[lit.] They have to draw pictures but they lack artistic skills
To draw [kaku] and to lack [kaku] are pronounced the same. It was her attempt at a pun. The kanji for lack [欠] alone is also pronounced "ketsu" which also means "ass" so they went like "Eh? Like, draw an ass?" It also seems Koharu heard "kokoro" instead of "egokoro" so she was like "Eh, they draw hearts...?", then more misunderstanding ensued resulting in Hina's rage explosion.
Yeah, the base was all I was missing so everything makes sense now. And not even the base, but that lack of artistic skills part lost me. And yeah, I finally got the whole scene now, thanks. Actually think I'll go rewatch it yet again with this new understanding. It's too bloody hilarious not to.
Well they were talking about the arts club. The atarashii thing was having an art club full of people who can't draw, but the pun itself fell flat. Poor Hina, she was trying to get into Aoi's land.
Haha, indeed. Her pun was too smart for her own good though.
>tfw not japanese enough to enjoy this show
That is to say, untranslated.
This show really needs a group picking it up. It's too damn good to be left like this. Really can't suggest anything besides picking up the raws for now. You could try &, but they're full of guess subbing and missing lines. Still better than nothing I'd guess, but still.
You should've used the MC instead.
Ended up rewatching the whole episode after all, and I have to say, between Hina throwing a fit over her failed pun with her ahoge following course and the shiritori at the end, this has to be one of the best episodes yet. And by that I mean from both series.
My favorite still is first season episode 11, I feel like it was the episode when they finally said "fuck it".
Ah, that's the one with the MC character at the start. Can't recall exactly what it was about, but I'll give it another watch right now.
And finally done. Haven't gifed anything since the first SYD so it took me a while to remember how I capped/resized/optimized these. In any case, point was I caught up with the last two I was behind with, and this scene was too good not to take out as a gif. If anyone's still around and while I still ain't that tired, if you have something you'd want gifed say so now. Though mind you, this optimization's the best I can do.
Damn you man, I actually went to check...
Thanks, that was amazing.
