You have 1 minute to explain why you're not reading manga on tablets
Because I'm not a faggot with a laptop and apple products. Also who needs portability? Don't tell me you read manga in public like a neckbeard weeaboo.
and we have a winrar
Because not epaper.
Because I'm not a faggot.
I don't really leave my room, so I can just read it on my screen.
Because I'm not away from my computer right now.
>reading manga on a tablet
>in portrait mode
Because while that's a great use for a tablet, I can't think of anything else to use one for, and as such it'd be a waste of money.
There are much more comfortable places than at a computer desk inside your home. A tablet in bed or on the couch beats a notebook hands down in comfiness.
Because I would go through them faster than fap tissues.
Because I would only use it for that and reading
To buy a tablet just for that seems like a huge waste of money.
I hate reading manga on my computer screen, it just sucks.
If I could get a cheap tablet to read manga and maybe watch some animu as well, I'd do it. Reading in bed is much better than sitting on a chair scrolling images.
>have a full time job that requires traveling or just traveling for leisure
>spend the time in transit/hotel at night reading mangos on a nice iPad mini with Retina display (tm)
Feels good man.
get a chinese tablet, they are like $60 here
richfags am I right?
but i am
>durr hurr m-muh ee-penis paper
>buying a dedicated device that does only one thing
Paper is still better.
It's only useful if you go outside. What is wrong with you?
A tablet is a great studying tool. There is lot of books in internet and you can read them in you tablet. Also e-learning software and flashcards.
but ok tablet costs like what? $300? people with normal works earn that in roughly 6,5 hours.
>Using shitty touch devices with shitty LCDs screen for reading
It's not like tablets had any real purpose to start with
*fedora tipping intensifies*
If only the portability actually did anything for me. Almost everything I download ends up being dual-page for at least a volume or two, which annoys me to no end.
What a faggot, who cares what you use to enjoy piracy
This faggot, still thinking hating apple is cool
Fucking faggot, your kindle do one thing ok but can't do everything else.
You faggot think that's witty?
This faggot, still pretending to be neet?
Greentext faggot, you go read a portrait page in your shitty landscape monitor.
Trips faggot, you think people buy multipurpose stuff to do one shit?
Blog faggot, no one cares what you feels.
Hipster faggot, ever heard of global warming?
Dumb faggot, use reader with auto-splitting or some shit.
>have a need to reply to every single comment
>reader with auto-splitting
If only this was a thing.
>Hipster faggot, ever heard of global warming?
I had to cover my entire house in paer in order to compensate what takes to produce a tablet.
Because I read Jojo on a Kobo Aura HD instead.
It's pretty nice and doesn't use as much power as tablets. Also e-ink doesn't hurt your eyes.
Because I can read it on a monitor.
>implying the average /a/non has a six figure job
>implying 50$ hourly wages
Yeah, no. Not to mention all the NEETs and poorfag students on here.
>be an engineer
>make 6k a month
>have been hanging around on /a/ since 4chan's creation
Fuck, I'm old.
what's your email address?
>implying "normal works" isn't minimum wage
Why do you keep making this pointless thread every week?
Feel the need to validate your existence or something?
>Yuki Shiro and the Ten Faggots
>animation by SHAFT
>people with normal works
you want us to believe you have a $40/h job but don't know how to speak english.
>still a NEET
>still no gf
>still living with family
Jesus christ, also paper is much better than table shit
I don't know why but i could never read a book or in such modern cases tablets without getting neck pain. I mean, when i sit infront of my computer i can look straight forward, but when reading a book/tablet i have to look down constantly, or hold it up which strains the arms after a while.
if no one's gonna give him an email I will
Prepare yourself for horse porn.
Get the fuck out.
When I can get a large screen eink device (like Kindle DX) that either has 500GB+ storage or the ability to mount file systems wirelessly with ssh or smb, I will then read manga on a tablet. I'm really looking forward to it, but there isn't much demand for those features so who knows when it will happen.
>buying a dedicated device that does only one thing
Otherwise I'd be buying a multipurpose device and only use it for reading. The only useful features of tablets my phone already does: wireless site mapping and ODB interface.
One of these things, meine freunde.
B-but that's illegal!
Not in europe its not!
No tablet. Also, aren't most tablets too small to read properly?
i've got a 128 gig iPad air and it's amazing imo. Better resolution than my monitor aswell.
Nah. Although it depends on the resolution. Even then you can always zoom in.
The Nexus 7 is still /a/'s official choice for a tablet right? My 2012 version is still holding out strong.
The price tag on that is pretty high, I think. It does look nice though.
The last tablet I owned had a pretty tiny screen and resolution. What's the standard these days?
Portability isn't needed since /a/ never leaves mom's basement.
Love reading on my iPad
Jokes on you because I live in my mom's attic
Not even kidding
1920×1200 pixel display is trending nowadays. 7 inches is perfect for bed-time reading or on the go.
I bought a nook HD+ I really like it and I find myself reading more manga now.
But that's okay because you're still underage right?
But I do
I even read gay R18 doujins with Shinpachi in them
Because I buy manga.
Just a while back I bought all of Girl Friends, shit's great.
>Not in america it's not
FTFY. Half of the american states allow bestiality. At the same time, they forbid incest. LONG LIVE FREEDOM, amirite.
Nexus 7 perfect for mangos, although they keep randomly removing manga apps for whatever reason from the store, you can download APKs.
Also got this thing for animu, though I don't really watch anime on the tablet (shitty res, shitty performance, shitty decoding), it's useful for getting torrent URLs for my seedbox without getting off my ass and checking air times though.
What is cheapest tablet you guys know ? I am poorfag i would sell my body
But I do
I even pay for it
You can buy a Nexus 7 2012 edition used or refurb (sometimes new as well, but it's harder since it's not in production anymore).
I ended up getting one of the older iPads, 2 I think, because I can't tell the difference between all that Retina baloney.
I ended up using it a lot for readings and downloading journal articles for uni instead of having to print them out for lab reports and leaving manga on Dropbox for those train rides to and from uni. If I wanted to watch anime, I copy a few episodes in the night before, but they'd have to be DeadFish encodes
I hate iTunes with a burning passion though
I read them on the phone on the train.
No I'm about to turn 22
The answer is, don't get one. One should only buy stuff if you can afford two of them. At least that is what i go by.
Because tablets have no point. They're too big for conventional pockets, and too small to be real computers.
How much long these battery are for watching anime and reading manga?
Because tablets cost as much as my monthly pay check. Further, a tablet wouldn't be of much use beyond that and it's not like I read that often.
HTC One screen is big enough.
>mfw anons persuaded and convinced my to buy a Nexus 7
Fuck you /a/, you're draining my savings away.
I mostly use them for reading manga, posting on /a/, posting on various forums (there is apps to post on ipb/vbulletin forums), github reading, youtube, liveleak, twitch, news, skype... when I'm too lazy to get out of bed, anyway. Or when I'm cooking meals and waiting for shit to finish.
also when I smoke since I do it outside, I'm sorry for being scum
It's way easier to post on and view stuff with a tablet than a phone or traditional handheld device, it's also easier to read manga and play games on (PSP/PSX emulators work well on my tablet)
Depends, for Nexus anime watching might drain the power more quickly than normal, on a full charge i can read manga or just leave it on just about all day long. If you sleep close to a plug it doesn't matter much anyway since you can charge it while you read if you're stationary.
Nook HD+ nigga. Less that $100 when I bought it.
But it's sooooo worth it anon.
Also, don't forget to buy a chromecast along with the tablet. Shit's so cash.
Don't you have a brief case? Not that I have a tablet. What a fucking waste of space.
go on a gay hook up site
post some provocative pictures
say straight up that you'll suck dick for $80, $120 to swallow
Suck a few dicks, viola. New tablet. Also new herpes maybe, but it's an occupational hazard.
Also, make SURE that you go for the balls. That's the extra mile that gets you return customers.
Spending $200+ on a device which your main usage going to be reading manga seems... expansive.
Or is it worth it?
>Don't you have a brief case?
Sort of, it's a laptop case with some additional pockets. The only ones at my work that have actual briefcases are pushing 60.
You should post this on /biz/.
Cause some faggots have argued that the Surface Pro 2 isn't a tablet.
Anyone else using it here? Feels like the odd man out every time I use this in public.
Because a tablet would cost me 3 months food.
Also, I just read it on my laptop that is conveniently placed right next to my bed, great way to read right before going to sleep
What's the cheapest tablet that can play 10-bit?
I thought you could fold the keyboard back on a surface? Or is that a different model? Can you type with onscreen keyboard on surface?
>people ITT recommending the Nexus 7
I was aboard this train until I actually held one. It felt too small for reading mango and the screen on the HD+ is godly. The 7 is snappier, but you want to read mango, not play games you could probably play on your phone or something.
I've just got my Nexus 7 2013 and I was wondering what apps I need to download for maximum mango reading experience?
This is for both reading straight from online and transferred from computer (zip/rar files).
>having any use for mobile devices
Probably the high end ones that cost as much or more than a laptop.
Yes you can. The keyboard is a cover. You can type on on-screen keyboard as well. Keyboard >>> onscreen keybd though.
The best reader for mango is Perfect Viewer, no contest.
I have an ipad 3 it's absolutely perfect for reading and manga. The day it dies I'll rush out and get the latest version without any regrets.
Forget about anime, just dl Pinball Arcade and buy Black Knight 2000.
Well you wouldn't look like an old man using on screen keyboard, it's about the same size as any other tablet...
I use "Mango" and "Manga Rock" - Both seem to have issues with not all manga being on the lists, but Mango has plenty of sources and MangaRock has batoto as a source, so it's pretty nice.
Maybe the nook is better, but I read manga all day on nexus. Shit is fine to me. Then again I used to read manga on my iPod touch for a time until I got tired of that shit. That really hurt my eyes.
I have an Asus Me400
Instead of a i5, I have a Dual Core Atom
Its pretty great for uni stuff since its more portable than my laptop and I can still run all my programs on it
This thread is cancerous.
Windows RT tablets suck indeed, Windows X86 tablets are great
That's what I love about running Intel. I played modded skyrim on my SP2 and I've run photoshop from it too. No need to convert videos to get'em playing on iOS.
Step up senpai
Perfect Viewer for mango, MX Player for animu.
I use MX player on my android phone.
So do I.
I'm guessing you just have to drag and drop zip/rar files to the tablet and all you have to do is open PV app and read?
Or do you have to unzip it or something?
yeah, and 10bit flawless playback without slowdowns or converting, just copy/download the file and run
>Not owning a nexus 7 for general browsing, and manga on the go.
>Not having an newer gen e-ink screen with the better resolutions for reading novels
>Not having a 21" IPS with a stand holding it in portrait mode for home browsing and reading manga like a champion at home.
I want your keychain, OP.
Sure is. Win8, made for touchscreen tablets.
they are X86 machines, nothing is preventing you to install linux or any other OS in them, you can even go back and instal android on them now that google makes Droid 4.3 X86 compatible
I can't read
I don't have enough money for a tablet
No unzipping. Just like Honeyview and CDisplay.
But Anon, I do have a 24" Dell 2408wfp in portrait just for that.
>I'm guessing you just have to drag and drop zip/rar files to the tablet and all you have to do is open PV app and read?
Because staring into a tablet for a long time screen hurts? Ereaders are much better in my opinion. Quality is good, but most screens are a bit small..
I will never understand why anyone needs an e-ink screen to read books. Black background, white/gray text, brightness turned to minimum. Painless tablet reading.
I don't own one.
My asus is not that powerful to run full destop games, but I can run matlab on it and its pretty awesome already
thinking on installing some VNs on it
Tried Fallout 1&2 on it recently, thinking it would work fine since of how much mouse driven the game is, NOPE, mouse its totally off and will only start the game if I have a BT or USB mouse plugged on
Alright, that's good to hear.
I was a bit worried because I heard some tablets have long process of converting files into readable format and set it up so that those tablets can recognize it.
Would be pain in the ass to do so every time you want to put manga into your tablet.
It's perfect. Trust me
And then you get glare issues depending on lighting, worse battery life, etc.
I have a kindle touch I toss novels on and just carry it everywhere. During lunch or w/e when I feel like reading I just start reading on it from where I left off. No worries about wasting battery power and the screen is indeed much more relaxing on the eyes.
Sure if you have a tablet already and can't afford an e-reader I can see not wanting to get one, but they aren't terribly expensive and are well worth it.
What app do you use for the iPad?
I have one and I still think it's too small.
can I use a nook simple touch or is the resolution too low
needing a piece of shit to read a chapter of 15 pages...
I just can't read mango on monitor anymore.
Even with rotating/portrait mode, I just don't feel comfortable reading something while sitting on a chair.
Now I got myself a tablet, I feel much comfortable and able to read more mango compared to before.
because downloading and reading it on a tablut
>not reading online
>And then you get glare issues depending on lighting, worse battery life, etc.
I'll give you the lighting maybe, but displaying white text on a black background hardly affects the battery life. As for relaxing on the eyes, I can read in complete darkness for quite a long time with no complaints.
I guess I just don't see why I'd need a whole other device for slightly more optimum conditions.
Tablets are slow and laggy, even your faggy ipad, compared to a real PC.
I already have a monitor with a better screen than any tablet, why downgrade.
>I was a bit worried because I heard some tablets have long process of converting files into readable format and set it up so that those tablets can recognize it.
You're probably thinking of e-readers like the Kindle.
Good thing manga runs on a toaster.
Because I don't read manga
>tablets for reeding
That's why I got x64 Surface. It's the way to go so that I don't need to downgrade from ultraportables.
I do go straight back to my desktop when I am at home though.
>not 2015 + (i^2)
get a x86 one then, they are basically PCs in tablet form and behave just like a normal computer
You faggots have one minute to explain why you use overpriced, overhyped, plebian Appleshit instead of Based It's-A-Sony!, Feature-packed Samsung, or Reliable Asus.
>mfw I use Microsoft
Sony's out of the game, Samsung feels disgusting pos plastic, and Asus does not unto customer support.
I laughed too hard. Does this get less funny if you've studied imaginary numbers?
>ever touching anything sony
Sorry, I am not a sonygger.
I don't think so. Did graduate Complex Analysis and I still laughed.
But I'm not an Apple poo guzzler.
Can't think of anything else to use one for.
>Sony's out of the game
Tell that to my Xperia Tab Z, who's chilling in the bathwater with me
The biggest benefit of an e-reader is the insane battery life.
Because I never use anything other than my desktop. I don't go outside so I have no need for portable manga reader.
I don't buy overpriced products, but at least you have good tastes in manga
Exactly, tablet battery life is 90% screen backlight unless you are running super graphic intense games.
Reading a book for an hour or two with the screen sitting on, even with low brightness and white on black is going to eat battery.
I charge my kindle maybe once a month and read around 2 or so hours a day, including having the glow light on dimly before bed.
What do you guys use to crop the borders and resize them for your resolution? I have a 600x800 e-ink reader. Calibre?
No not calibre.
There was a thread recently about it.
Check the archives.
and going nuts because digitalizers haet water
I liek u, mangos r 4 fgts!
lel $400-500 garbage and get a real e-reader such as a nook or a kindle or even a nexus faggot.
I read them on my PC because I don't enjoy spending my money on useless stuff.
You sound like a poorfag.
My phone is more portable and my PC has a bigger screen.
>wanting to pay 4x as much for the same thing.
sound like someone likes to waste money
Kindle Comic Converter conversion looks much better than Calibre's in my experience.
what app is that? I've been using iComics
I have a shitty acer tablet I read on. Lately I've been fapping in bed. Super comfy.
is it okay that I fap to doujins in bed with my iPad?
Get a load of this gay faggot.
Can you play visual novels on a tablet?
photo of your account balance with timestamp
its completely normal anon
>scared that someone will find my loli doujins on my tablet some day
do you use comicrack?
Let the hate flow through you anon.
Yes, even psp game such as Fate extra.
Don't need to use the digitiser when I can turn pages with my volume keys in PerfectViewer, twunt.
>standing up for a product that's objectively shit
Even if I was wealthy I wouldn't drown my dignity in such a piece of shit.
Nexus 7 2013 masterrace.
holy shit thanks for showing me this. Im seriously gonna go buy HD+ now.
Why would you pay more for less ?
I use icomics, it's okay(has some loading issues) but I wouldn't mind looking for another. I found it a year and a half ago and haven't really looked into apps ever since. I'll check out comicrack.
once opened up my ipad in public and forgot to close the trap gangrape I had been reading the night before. I don't think anyone saw it though. I hope at least
Apple fandom: trying to obfuscate your stupidity with imagined classism
Because I read more text based things than manga lately. I'm waiting for higher dpi e-ink screns before reading manga on a portable device.
Do you guys take something off your hentai backlog and consider it read even if you don't fap to it? My backlog keeps growing because I don't. I don't have the semen output to keep pace.
oh yeah and i use the free version of it. it has ads but only when you're navigating your files, not when you're reading.
It's also nice because I don't have to deal with 'synch your iPad' bullshit with it. You can turn on 'download' and receive a local site link, then can upload files from your PC to your tablet.
Pretty sure this is the first and last apple product I will ever have. Might get a windows tablet next generation, if tablets are still a thing when I get around to wanting a new one.
New chapter when?
go play morrowind
>I hate what's popular.
>stop liking what I don't like.
Only children cannot see past a price tag and cannot quantify value being more than a bullet point on a spec sheet.
You kids regurgitate the same shit in every thread.
The money you save on supposedly superior tablets is offset by shoddy build quality, inferior crashing software, and lower battery life.
every time someone mentions morrowind, somebody goes and install it all over again.
I thought that was Deus Ex.
I thought that was vampire the masquerade bloodlines
I usually fap to 2-3 (short) doujins before coming but I usually consider them 'fapped to' and delete them afterwards. Though sometimes there's good ones that I'll fap to multiple times before moving on. I did that for a lot of abgrund and Shikshima Guntool's stuff
No, it's actually Fallout.
So , an Apple hating poorfag.
People who buy iPads don't even know what that is. If you want to use a tablet with a one-and-a-half year old CPU that costs the same as a laptop, you don't deserve the money you have.
>implying Apple is the only company who can make good quality products
>implying Apple doesn't charge you an extra 150$ on every product just because it has a drawing of a bitten apple on the back
>implying Apple is the best at anything
Actually, scratch that. Apple excels at marketing and gathering sheep to buy their products. They're the ultimate jew.
Because I read comics on tablets
Not him, but the very minute I picked up an android device and started using it, I threw out any idea of ever owning an apple product again, the difference in quality is that great. I'd pay more than the price of an apple product for an android because it just functions better.
I have one of the original Surface Pros. I fucking love this thing.
It was neat watching Gatchaman and seeing that best character uses the same device as I do.
Neet. Nah. Just to lazy today use me my mommies. So I use me phone.
>Microsoft will never make X real
please tell us what they sent you
I have the device name set as "Ekusu" because I'm fucking terrible and liked Crowds way too much.
Did you set user as Rui?
But I do, anon.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's one of the reasons I got one without e-ink. Based Golden and Silver era. Why did comics have to become so shit?
You're either bait, or dense.
If the latter - go look up the Tab Z's price before you embarrass yourself again.
How often do you masturbate underwater with it?
If it wasn't for the whole "Windows 8 being tied to a Microsoft account" thing I would have.
>"Windows 8 being tied to a Microsoft account"
I hate this, I would've disabled it already if Skydrive wasn't fucking useful to transfer data in between devices, but god damn
Anyone knows how I can make my main desktop settings not global to all my other systems?
because im getting fucking tired to re positioning the taskbar and setting the correct keyboard every time I start up one of them
>being this poor
>Implying I don't use the waterproof capability
>Implying I don't fap in the bath
>Implying I'm not fapping right now
>Implying that when I climax blissfully and intensely in amusement at the sheer ignorance of your post that I won't temporarily lose my grip on my tablet and have it fall into the bathwater amidst my floating ejaculate.
roop siht gnieb<
ComicGlass is overall the best I've found on iOS.
>Have a nook simple touch because I know if I had apps/a browser on my e-reader, I'd never actually read books
Dedicated devices aren't always bad. I do hope I can load manga on it, though.
Do you have the full version of Manga Rock? I love Mango, but they don't have Batoto, meaning they're missing a few manga. But those advertisements are killer.
If you want to read manga on a nook simple touch, you'll have to load android onto it so it's not worth it if you want it for anything other than .epub files.
Kobo ereaders support more file formats so go with one of those if you really want an E-Ink device for something other than books
...Why not just read it on your Laptop?
it can read PDFs as well, though. It'll be weird but I could probably try to turn manga files into PDFs and load them from there.
>don't tell me you read manga in public
Something tell me you don't get out a lot and therefore, have the privilege to be on your computer more then others who actually do things for a living
PDF support for it kind of sucks, it makes them muddier than normal for some reason in my experience.
Have you heard of the Spotlight Effect?
Nobody at all gives a shit or even takes notice of what you're doing/reading in public if you're just keeping to yourself.
Because I never leave home anyway, so why not just read it on my desktop? Portability ain't worth shit
Fair enough. I'll just use my phone until I get something new eventually.
look into a kobo ereader or an android tablet. Those would be your best bet
I mean, unless you're getting into some really explicit and colorful doujinshi, then yeah, I agree with this.
>>durr hurr m-muh ee-penis paper
>>buying a dedicated device that does only one thing
By your logic you should not buy a good DSLR camera because your shitty smartphone can do more than just making crappy photos.
I've been using a 7 year old HP Pavilion laptop for the past 6 years as my main computer.
I'm getting a new laptop with this year's tax returns, and it'll probably be one of those levono two-in-one's.
>Manga storm app
Life is comfy AS FUCK now.
I've heard a lot of good things about the Lenovo Yoga so that would probably be a good idea for you.
So have I. It's not the yoga I was thinking about buying, but a levono nonetheless
What manga is that?
Has anyone else tried reading VNs with Splashtop? It's pretty great. I read through Rewrite recently on my iPad Air.
I have one, I just don't read manga enough.
I could see tablets being the best way to read VNs if they could be run natively, but my laptop works just fine for now.
I got a cheap chinese tablet ($120) just to watch some anime on bed and play some games with my /jaypee/ bros
Does that make me a bad person?
>not an android tablet with manga watcher
suit yourself but be aware that you're overpaying for your shit
I got my 9'7" Tracer for what google tells me is 148,75$, so maybe not as much of a bad person, as a bad buyer.
omae no butler
I've considered a tablet for media consumption but I haven't found an operating system that's free software.
>randomly for whatever reason
>implying it's not because Viz or Crunchy or someone else nags them about "muh profits"
Nexus 7 2013
Manga pages are 7"
Nexus is 7"
Tablets don't really respect my freedom, most all of them make it hard or impossible to install another OS, and the OS that come with them, particularly Android and iOS, or the abomination Windows RT, don't have basic things I need, and general freedom to use the OS the way I want or install software I want freely. These things are so unbelievably locked down it's disgusting.
I think most people don't view them as computers, so they don't care. But to me they're just computers, and the things they expect me to put up with on those computers isn't something I'll accept.
I have a laptop with Linux, why would I need a tablet?
If I had any knowledge of systems programming I would love to help develop a free/libre tablet operating system.
nook hd+ i got mines for 150 during Christmas 10/10 would recommend.
Last I've heard from a friend who owns an Android tablet, many Android manga apps are being removed for copyright whatever reasons
For iPad its Mangastorm, no competition
Reading manga, watching Netflix, anime MKVs through VLC [using DDL Links to stream], and reading/highlighting PDFs [for academic purposes]
I like the Nexus 7 but can't stand that its widescreen. Portrait really is much better for everything else except video
I use an old Nexus 7 with MangaWatcher and PerfectViewer. It's really comfortable, I barely use my laptop anymore.
>not doing it right now with a kobo aura hd
I'd assume double page spreads would be annoying on a tablet?
Reading manga on tablet is comfy and you can actually finish reading with it. Even though I have a really good monitor, i still prefer my tablet for reading.
Apple’s recent success also exacerbates anti-Apple frustration. The computing industry clearly favored Windows’ libertarian-like policy for two decades as Apple languished and inexpensive Microsoft Windows PCs dominated the industry. But, in the last few years, the tides have shifted dramatically as PCs have lost some ground to Macs, and iOS and other “closed” smartphone and tablet platforms have succeeded. Nobody likes to think that their side is “losing,” especially after it was winning for so long
Where Apple says “You can’t do that because we think that would suck,” Microsoft and Android usually say, “You can do whatever you want, even if it sucks.” They give users more control with endless possibilities to create problems, and it’s up to the users to tolerate or fix any resulting problems themselves. Google and Microsoft are platform libertarians: you’re generally free to do much more, but you’re on your own when it breaks.
Quite annoying. But I have mine customised so that if I tap the top right corner of the screen it goes into landscape mode, so it's not a huge issue.
where to cop key chain?
But I am OP.
Reading Yotsuba in bed after a hard days work is the best.
I've owned several Android,iOS and Windows tablet. The iPad still reign supreme here.
I'm so flag i went for the 8" model. 7" is too small for my liking.
Is that a Mini or an Air?
Forgot pic. Damn 4chan X.
That being said I still prefer reading doujinshis [especially of a show I like that is currently airing] on desktop
How else can one comfortably fap? [Picture from +1 year ago]
Its a retina mini, lovely display :3
Same, except I archive my stuff. If the internet ever disappears, you know who to go to for all your loli and futa fapping needs.
laptops are better in every single way
>>102264140 here, works nicely for reading mangas or novels, and it only freezes when Manga Watcher and app updates pop on at the same time. Battery is really good, but when you do need to charge it watch out for the charger, it gets really hot until about 80% when it slowly starts to cool sown
It has almost everything an anon would use. MicroSD, 2xmicroUSB, miniHDMI, Wi-Fi and an audio jack. It lacks Bluetooth, but I can live with that.
Also mine came with Aldiko Reader, good for .pdfs and .epubs since all of the readers in the /a/ndroid pastebin do at least one thing wrong or cost money. The default file manager sucks sixty niggers at once tho, so get a new one immediately.
I don't find iPad reigning supreme if you need it to do things that it doesn't support out of the box, but it does the tablet use case exceptionally well.
getting it to run 10 bit anime without re-encoding? Nope.
getting it for photo editing and hook a bunch of peripherals onto it? Nope
getting it to jot notes? Nope
getting it to play x86 games? Nope
If all you need it to do is to read manga though, it's just fine.
Use Mango you pleb.
iPad Air can run 10-bit anime on VLC and several other apps
x86 games that normally require mouse/keyboard on a touchscreen? C'mon negro
It's a consumption device, which it excels at
Want to do actual work, get a Macbook Air/Ultrabook [Though I have yet to find a light as fuck Ultrabook with 13 hour battery life]
I can't fap in bed. Holding tablet with one hand is not comfortable enough.
I am still waiting for the power cover. If Power Cover comes for surface 2 pro, then there's really little reason to bother with the likes of macbook Air and SP2 would be comparable to any ultrabook even in terms of battery life.
>no portrait monitor
I can't get off to this.
Though it gets complicated when reading the popular Minamoto manga, since you have a stifling boner even though its not technically an explicit doujinshi
First world problems my fellow negro
That's why there's more than 2 odd guys that would buy windows x86 based "tablets".
Light as fuck ultrabook with 13hr battery life? Vaio pro 13 can do it. People won't usually pay the price for it though.
One thing I forgot, Tracer let's you upgrade to newer android or change to something else like Cyanogen, not like some other companies which require you to root and then still do some more shit.
But I bought my iPad for my Chinese cartoon, light 4chan browsing and occasionally mindless gaming. If I want to get any work done, there's always my laptop or desktop.
I have the full version of mangarock yeah (you can get the google rewards app and answer enough surveys in time to get almost anything you want), but both apps are missing some manga. I sent an email to the mango dude about a manga on the mangastream site but not the app, never got a reply.
There's several like that.
"Optional sheet battery for double battery life"
How much does the sheet battery add to its weight?
Got a 13 inch Macbook Air for $900 on Best Buy last year. Good shit for using outside the home when I'm lazy to plug it into a wall
It's a 27" 1440p monitor. I never have to zoom a single page so far since I upgraded to it. Why do I need portrait mode?
Has he get any work done or the mange is still a never ending show of blueballing?
Oh dude... or else just get a MBA for $300 cheaper with nearly same specs
Only advantage of the Sony then is a slightly display resolution
Never ending blue balls
They keep showing the goth girl bitch every now and then
He hasn't fucked her yet which pisses me off
Hottest scene was still early one when he was molesting his cousin, even though they didn't fuck
I guess you don't. Something about the huge black bars bother me though. I have a 32" 1440p display myself, but I still read manga on one of my portrait 24" screens.
What a great manga.
>being a sonygger
How is this thread still up?
Kindle is pretty good for LNs and Manga especially if you want to buy to support the manga or LN writer without the cost of shipping its really cheap.
I would agree for iOS devices, I don't like them, but certainly not Macs.
OSX is far less locked down than Windows, and better from a technological standpoint. Being a modern POSIX compliant Unix system, and Windows being a what I consider a piece of crap. Many parts of OSX are even open source and benefit other people then themselves, e.g. CUPS.
I only use Linux, but would be glad to have a rMBP, a piece of hardware that pretty much no one is competing against them with. (No high resolution IPS matte screen on a laptop like that with the exception of a very few, all of which are worse in other ways than the rMBP)
Windows is extremely locked down to an incredible extent, and Microsoft is one of the most anti competitive companies, if not THE most anti competitive company in existence.
Google is pretty much just as bad as iOS devices with Android.
Mango doesn't have Batoto, enjoy you shitty mangafox quality.
Pfft. As if.
>Buying anything Samsung
Japanese that are using Samsung often don't realize that it's a Samsung that (s)he is using. They have a banal hatred of the brand and the country that it stands for.
I think it looks stupider how big and inconvenient a 10 inch tablet is. 7 inch is way better for this purpose.
I read manga on my Galaxy S4
I also read the Raildex novels on it
>reading yotsuba in english
read it in japanese,it will be easy.
Started using my Nexus to fap to hentai. Never used my computer again.
Unless you dont know Japanese. Then it will be difficult
Yeah, same here, I know Fakku is shit, but their android app is really fucking useful.
I can barely do it on the desktop.
Right hand on the anaconda, the left hand trying to navigate between hentai series [Yes I like watching more than one episode]
Hear a notification as the latest Subdesu hentai ep finishes being DL from torrent, still rubbing it out while using left hand to drag it to my hentai folder
Realize I will never have motivation again (because i never go to that folder unless I'm fapping) and awkwardly use left hand to type out an additional subfolder with the name of the series
Drag it in... and click play
Oh no it turned out to be some big-titted cliche crap, no loli/incest/molest etc
Admit defeat and go back to watching Onichichi
Repeat process every single fucking night
This makes me kind of sad.
So wait. You are not a southpaw, are you? Why would you have the Anaconda controller in your right hand? Why would you use Razer shit?
I read manga just fine on my GS3
using mango reader by leetsoft btw
But I am.
Dat battery life, haven't charged it in a good months
Its because the iPad is 4:3
so it looks fat, while every other android uses a 16:9 ratio and look less retarded
>on a tablet
Not even once.
Um.. ok. Have fun with 4:3 then.
>believing in the lies of Steve Jobs
He is dead anon, time to wake up
4:3 is shit
Because we're not allowed to have tablets or cellphones for anything but work while on duty and I don't need it at any other time since I have a laptop.
I like to do other stuff while I read manga anyway and I can't do that on a tablet.
I'm content with my 16:10.
16:10 is Good
Just get a Surface or any other X86 tablet and install Linux on them, Ubuntu has a version for touch based devices IIRC
they also come with USBs on most models, so you can plug what ever you want into them
Its just that most (if not all) ARM based devices are underpowered to handle freedom
4:3 is much better for reading, though. Reading on a 16:9 tablet is terrible.
Google WAS open
Every time I do a system upgrade on my phone I can notice one or two user settings menu vanishing or being relocated to somewhere you would never look to
Soon they will be as locked down as iOS
and for everything else, it sucks ass
if I wanted just to read on my tablet, I would get an e-reader with a proper e-ink screen
Who said I was Samsung?
Not that the Korean content matters to me anyway. The fewer Foxcon bits the better, and Apple can suck my dick daily or fuck off for the markup they put on their hardware. Otherwise I don't give a shit whichever way...
I've been using 16:10 for my PC for years and have been able to figure out why 16:9 is a thing.
I just download everything I fap to. Also for the case that sadpanda might disappear one day.
I'd like one I can use to take to class and write notes on, also watch anime and read manga.
I'm thinking about getting a Venue 8 Pro since its $250, but the stylus isn't in stock...
>not just casually browsing sadpanda on android
What do you have, 480p tablet?
Because paper is the superior support.
>learning reading speed
Its a movie standard
16:9 screens are for watching movies mostly
Wait till we start to get the new movie standards as computer screens
shit is gonna go hidamari
Reading is not only for books, the most spent like 99% of the time on a tablet reading some shit.
16:9 is only "better" for videos.
Its better for multitasking and having more than one app on screen, Oh yeah, iPads can't do that at all
and browsing websites is still better at 16:9
Because I read manga on my phone/comp. I'm trying to be subtle while reading, I don't want to broadcast to everyone that I want to be a 5 year old girl's dad
I like the feeling of holding the book.
I guess I didn't get the tone I wanted across. I know it is because of the whole movie standard, but as far as monitors and other displays (not TVs) are concerned, 16:10 is just so much more comfortable.
It can't get hidamari, I couldn't fit that on my desk.
>and browsing websites is still better at 16:9
Yeah...no. not on fucking 10" screens.
>not wanting a 4:1 display with a hidamari wallpaper on your wall
>Manga pages are 7"
Maybe your shitty editions.
I don't get it. What does downloading my hentai have anything to do with a low resolution tablet?
>But to me they're just computers, and the things they expect me to put up with on those computers isn't something I'll accept
This is why I won't buy a smartphone or a tablet untill they will get rid of this stupid "app" bullshit.
X86 tablets are a thing now, soon X86 phones will be too
>sadpanda on android
I wish I know how to do that. An app will be great, does anybody knows how to make an extension for Mangawatcher?
I'll get a free Iphone 3g, probably. How can I read manga with that shit? Never had a smartphone before.
Sasuga Kancolle shitters
I am fine with my 28" portrait display, thanks
But I am, I also read doujins on the bus.
Because you can throw it in PV after downloading and use whole screen for reading, while accessing sadpanda directly can only be done with a browser which will be shit unless you have high enough resolution.
Happy to report that it runs wonderfully on Surface Pro, but it sucks battery like Akagi does Bauxite.
This hurts my fucking eyes.
>I wish I know how to do that
By doing the exact same thing you do on your computer
Is it possible to read manga on kindle paperwhite?
ahh man haha, Thats just about the majority of people with engineering majors who browse /a/
Yes, get Kindle Comic Coverter. You won't read too much becaue of only 2GB of storage. Kobo Aura HD is the best ereader for manga.
Yeah, you need to convert it first though. Calibre and convert to .mobi works fine
I've said this in your previous thread but nice taste, OP.
Well, the fakku app does have a download option and you can even use PerfectViewer as a default reader. It's a shame it's Fakku though.
whats a cheap tablet i can play touhou on
Or you can just download directly from sadpanda if you want to read in PV.
You should've gotten Surface Pro at $500 or Venue 8 Pro at $200. Both can 2hu.
Because I buy tankoubons and skip the scanlation drama/delays.
You might have trouble without a keyboard.
Razer Edge then
I thought about buying an e-reader, but the decent ones are $100+
Manga on the ipad is pretty damn nice! I wouldn't buy one exclusively for Manga, but I got one as a business gift so I've been using it mostly for manga/comics.
>he actually believes such a feat is rare enough to warrant a demand for authentication
Because I'm not a faggot and I actually buy the actual manga copy to support the creaters
It's not all that surprising for an engineer to be posting on 4chan.
Living the dream.
I've heard some anons recommend the chromecast. Is it any good? What can I do with it anime-wise?
>not doing both
>get a free ipad
>it's too large to properly read on
whats a good 7 inch tablet I can trade this for?
It's just uncomfortable to hold and I don't need 10 inches of screen.
Weird, if you literally just want to read shit. I've heard nooks are good.
What size is better for reading manga? 7 or 10 inches?
This is the first tablet thread I've seen in two years that wasn't absolute trash. Thank you for the good taste, OP.
7 inches are the same as manga but 10 inches is better if you have shitty eyes
the kobo aura hd has the perfect size for me.
>175.7 x 128.3 x 11.7 mm (6.91 x 5.05 x 0.46 in)
Hmm, so a Galaxy Tab 3 with a 7 inch display works well? I am thinking of getting a tablet for animu and mango since my phone is too small for it and while anime works pretty well on it, Vita is shit for manga.
The Nexus 7 2013 is really the best 7 inch tablet at the moment. It's got some of the best specs at one of the lowest prices.
>7 inches are the same as manga
That's not true at all. Stop this bullshit.
That's only ONE format. There are a lot of formats and I've got bigger ones beside me right now.
Bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 a while back, best purchase I've made in a long time. Gotta love being able to do all my work for uni on it an be able to read massive amounts of manga while extremely comfy. Watching anime if fine on it too, only issues I ever get is with subs that have the pop out text for the OPs.
Mangawatcher is the single best app I've ever seen for manga reading. Really wish google would stop being cunts and just let him put it back up on playstore.
Yep you better go with the Nexus 7, the kobo is far away less expensive but only accurate to manga and reading.
Nexus 7 it is then. Thanks for the help guys.
/lit/ recommended this for reading, would it work for manga, too?
I really don't see the point in having a tablet.
It should work for manga, yes.
Shit's cozy as fuck. Don't know it till you try it.
>Battery lasts for weeks
How is something like this possible??
You honestly won't until you actually try it. You'll hate having to read a manga on a computer and miss being able to cozy up in your couch or bed.
Because keeping the e-ink on the screen doesn't actually use battery, it's only when you change pages.
They're nice for reading and fapping on bed, I know it sounds stupid, but I don't know how I lived before having one.
Glorious E-Ink technology
>They're nice for reading and fapping on bed,
I already do that, my pc is next to my bed.
>"based on a half hour of reading per day with wireless off and the light setting at 10. Battery life will vary based on light and wireless usage"
Basically, it's assuming you've got the attention span of an ant.
I wonder how hard it'd be to charge one of these things? I wanna start storing boatloads of manga on there and have a small backup power source to charge it for if the apocalypse ever happens.
It could happen guys, you gotta be prepared for this shit, food and water is for suckers, you need entertainment for morale.
There's always a fuckin' catch.
E-readers actually last forever though.
Not very hard. It's got an average battery, the device just doesn't do much to warrant a massive amount of power. Also, if you actually sit down to read like most people do, your battery will die faster than their optimal settings indicate.
Yup, that's how they move such a mediocre product.
You charge it by plugging it into an outlet like you would a phone, a laptop or whatever.
I don't have, or need, a tablet.
If I did then my reading would probably suffer since I'd read trashy manga all the time on the train instead of actual proper books.
Because i've already got a PWM-free IPS monitor.
Why not do both?
What I mean is how many watts of energy it would take to charge after post apocalypse when the grid is down and I'm using a small backup solar power unit that cost me 35 bucks online.
Are you 13? Just get some fucking physical books.
I only watch anime
Because I don't read manga.
Why would I spend money on physical books when I can download it for free on the internet?
I'm not 13, there's nothing wrong with preparing for the happening, because it will happen, maybe not this year, maybe not next, but soon.
Cause I don't have an app that is good.
Thinking of getting a phablet but I don't have good apps.
Like manga reading apps, or do you mean apps in general?
Not him but physical manga is a LOT better. Scans are mostly shit and even when they're decent they're not in the same league as a good print.
manga, and maybe anime streaming apps?
I don't have to explain shit, because I already read manga on a tablet /a/non-kun, and It's fucking amazing.
Because there really is nothing like holding a book in your hand while reading.
Also you can get solar usb chargers that'll take care of you post apocalypse, unless there is no sunlight, in which case we will freeze to death before the e-reader runs out of power.
I was actually thinking about buying one of these, only 25 bucks.
>only 25 bucks.
Mangawatcher for android and you'll have to download for iPad.
Kissanime for anime streams through browser, but if you want to torrent directly to the tablet you can and just use mxplayer to watch it on as long as it's 8bit.
You can also use es file explorer if you have anime already downloaded in your computer and want to access it on your tablet.
Shit, they really raised the price on that, goddamn.
It was just in this article about cool things for under 25 dollars. Used to be only 24.99... Goddammit, solar power should be getting cheaper.
which one of these can i watch hobbits on and read my anime comics?
Oddly the page says there is a 50% discount and the crossed out price is 49.99. I don't know why it still displays 49.99.
It's much better to use the MediaHouse app and have Universal Media Server installed on your computer for that.
>as long as it's 8bit.
2013 nexus 7 plays 720p 10 bit well on MX player
What are you using?
I've been thinking about upgrading my current HP ZR24w to something up a tier or two although I don't think I can give up 16:10.
MEncoder's sync issues and the DLNA folder depth limit angers me. Oh well, it's what I deserve for not putting together a real htpc yet.
Glad to hear. Haven't gotten around to testing one out yet. But still, the majority can't play 10bit.
Once Daiz gets off his ass and convinces people to do hardware support for 10bit, this problem will go away.
>hardware support for 10bit
It's ok moot, I'll buy a pass one of these days when they're 10 bucks or less.
Have you actually read any actual Japanese manga? The gray recycled high-acid shit that will crumble in 5 years that they print their children's cartoon books on are vastly inferior to even a mediocre scan. I much prefer my scanned versions to the physical copies I also own, and they will still be legible 20 years from now.
should I get that and what do you download the manga and read it or what?
Nook HD+ with CM and Perfect Viewer. Sure, why not?
hmm do you use an app then?
I am guessing that is what CM is.
What is the best tablet for reading Manga/LN, browsing 4chan etc and maybe watching anime? I dont want to spend more than 250€ on it.
Should i buy the Nexus 7? Seems like a good pick since the price is pretty good and some people already mentioned it.
Serializations are like that... I favor getting scanned copies and then get tankōbon.
Why not get the Venue Pro 8? you can play 2hu on it.
So basically mangarock is the best downloader+archiver+reader with batoto?
Nexus 7 2013 is the best.
Does this kind of shit exist for desktop computers. Sometimes it's just such a pain in the ass to hunt down scans
I have a Nexus 7 2013 but I dont know HOW to put manga on it.
can someone explain?
1. Download desired manga from scanlation group's website (You can find the group on mangaupdates)
2. Plug Nexus 7 into PC (if you downloaded it directly to the Nexus 7 through the web browser you can skip this step and the next one)
3. Move files over to Nexus 7 through Windows Explorer
4. Read manga with app of choice (Perfect Viewer is recommended)
1. If you're planning on using an app that does online reader stuff, download a manga reader app and fucking read.
2. If you're trying to actually put manga from your PC on to your nexus, you can do as >>102284354 said and put it on there through windows explorer, or what I like to do is run an FTP server app on my Nexus and upload to it via FTP client. It allows you to explore more folders anyway for other purposes.
Thank you anon!
should i get an asus tf300? seems cheap and good enough
Did search try the app store?
Because I buy it or use dual page readers so I can see the media properly.
Reading single pages is wrong.
As an addition to this, ES File Browser is the best file browser on the market. Use that for when you plan on downloading a chapter/volume and move it into a more organized folder (I have mine in a Manga folder)
If you go into Perfect Viewers settings (pop up main menu by tapping middle screen), go to the second down tab/icon on the left, and check "Auto detect page border", this will cut out any blank whitespace making reading easier.
Also under the third icon/tab tap Fit to screen, to ensure it always resizes properly.
Next move down to the fourth icon, tap Auto single page. This will auto crop any two page spreads to act like single pages. So no abhorring resizing occurs.
Next in the bottom icon, open preferences. under display change the background colour to solid black. I find the gray unsightly. In Browse & Navigate settings there is an Auto open next file setting you may like.
That's my setup, I find it optimal for reading manga.
Which app do you use for reading mango on your android phone /a/?
Or you could skip all that and just download Mangawatcher and Perfect Viewer and that's it. Unless you're looking for something that it's not on Batoto.
Alright, I downloaded Vento Auero. The images all show two pages at once, and some are .pngs, while others are .jpegs. I have a Kindle Touch, the kind with the e-ink. I assume. Is there any way I can read it with the Kindle?
Because I dont have a tablet?
Blame the NHK. Seriously.
Haruhichan's Firefox plugin works just fine on Android for Firefox.
>read it in japanese,it will be easy.
I'm still halfway through Tae Kim's guide. Is it too early for me to start?
i dont need a tablet because all i do is sit in my room all day
>not laying down
Step up, senpai.
Get a Nook HD+, it's cheap as fuck right now with good screen.
good luck reading a lcd screen in decent light.
e-ink screens are far superior for reading and always will be.they even come in color and glow for dark reading now.
So, lucky for you, I've considered this before.
If you only have the e-reader, you need a fairly constant 5 volt supply to charge it, with at least 500mA. The constant 5 volts is going to be a problem, but luckily most tablets can probably take up to 6 volts before failing - so I'd probably build a zinc pile battery and use that for charging - unless there are regulator options available.
If you have the included AC charger, you're in luck for any post 1900 level technology. Modern AC chargers take 80-250V, at any frequency, so you can plug it in anywhere in the world and it will work. An unadvertised fact is that many of these chargers work on high voltage DC, generally 100-300V, which means you could even use the Edison system.
If you don't have access to a power grid, but do have a machine shop, you could construct an AC generator to feed into the charger. Regulation wouldn't be terribly important if you can maintain at least 100 volts. Alternately, you could use quite a bit more of a chemical battery with the AC charger in hand, using it in DC mode.
The better question is, will you get arrested or shot for loli manga in the past or post apocalyptic future?
This, except I prefer white as my background color to make it seem like a larger page.
Also Lanczos is the best resizer.
I do, and it's convenient and great.
Night reading isn't so bad on a tablet, you can add screen filters which are easier on the eyes. It makes the manga look a little bit orange but at least your eyes aren't tearing open.
Shot. No time for trials and jail after the apocalypse
Japanese is fucking easy to guess as long as you know your particles and some vocab. You'll notice patterns as you read and learn that way. Just make sure you either:
1. Read things with furigana
2. Have jisho kanji by radicals open at all times
or instal Rikaikun/Rikaichan if you're reading text on your browser (although I wouldn't recommend this because you'll form a habit of just reading the definitions without paying attention to pronunciation or kanji, has happened to me).
>reading manga on anything besides kobo aura hd.
> 6.8-inch e-ink display and with a high resolution of 1440×1080 and 265 ppi.
Come on /a/ I thought you better than this.
>protective plastic still on screen
I've just bought a Nexus 7 2013 and holy shit, it's smaller than I thought.
That said, the panel size is similar to the average manga size so it's not that hard to read like many other anons claimed.
A lot of you recommended PV. Is that the best app for reading manga at the moment?
manga watcher not sure if it's on the app store anymore so yeah you might have to pirate it.
>I've just bought a Nexus 7 2013 and holy shit, it's smaller than I thought.
I almost pulled the trigger until I held one in stores, it is kind of small.
>A lot of you recommended PV. Is that the best app for reading manga at the moment?
I've tried a few but PV is godly, it's like Honeyview on Android.
Yeah, the N7 is definitely on the small side, but follow the advice earlier in this thread about setting up PV and it's pretty good.
I miss buttons for usage with gloves, but the screen is absolutely glorious. Also if you get a case, you might want to shop for some third party ones, the first party ones aren't the greatest.
also, it's a tablet on a tablet, hue
>it's like Honeyview on Android.
I looked for that on the play store but I can't find it
I meant Honeyview for desktop computers, I don't know if HV is on Android.
Oh I got confused. So PV is for android? What is its full name? (I'm not the guy who posted the picture)
It's not on the app store though either way, I'm going for PV.
I like HV. I'm currently using one for my desktop (older version, I don't like the new version). With that being said, yes, this apps seems like a perfect reader for me.
As for the case, I'm going for TPU case with a pouch for traveling. Those leather cases seems too much for me in terms of functionality and I hate slim/sillicone cases as I avoid them like a plague.
Did you went through all this: https://sites.google.com/site/mangaonaurahd/home/tutorial ??
What the hell no jesus, the damn thing reads most files there is no need for this.
should I buy a nook simple touch for $40
>Watching still pictures when you could be watching moving pictures with sound
Is there a new tablet with a replaceable battery? I would use the shit out of tablets, but I don't want it to get the point where I have to charge it every 30 minutes. I don't see much of a point in upgrading if I'm just reading and browsing the internet with it anyway
Not reading manga on a 8K screen so large the characters in your manga are life-sized.
As an avid manga reader, I've actually been considering buying a tablet for reading for a long time. Is 7' screen the most ideal for manga reading or would a 10" screen be just as nice?
I put some cbr filez but it avoids the first color ful pages and starts on page 4 or 6. With book covers I dont have this problem, Do you have this problem also or I am the only one?
10" is probably too large, go with 7 or 8"
10 is just as nice
7" is best in terms of portability and comfort. You will get a better viewing experience with the 8" probably.
Because the quality of the vast majority of manga scanlationss are too awful to even bother, and official digital manga are way too expensive.
where are you downloading the manga files from?
Is reading mango on that Kindle edition any good?
Sorry mate i'm just posting random pictures from the last thread.
Have this 5 inch Xperia Z1, the screen and color vibrancy makes me read and watch weebshit more than any other screens I have
I just got my Kobo aura since two days ago so I just downloaded the first manga that comes to my mind, that ir Death Note. I can see the color pages when I read it in the computer but in the kobo it just doesnt get those first pages, I guess I will have to do more test, can you give me some advise. Btw I downloaded that from some random torrent.
I don't read enough manga to make it worth getting a tablet because all I would use the tablet for would to read manga. Maybe a Kindle one day if the price is right.
Try to download from bakabt or nyaa see if that works.
Anyone here own Kindle Fire HDX 8.9?
Forgot to mention most of my manga files are zip files.
I can get a Dell Venue Pro 8 for 199€.
Is it worth it. I can totally afford it but whatelse can you do with it besides watching anime and reading manga?
Also what's a good manga reader app on Windows 8?
Didn't notice that it can read zip files right away, I guess tomorrow is going to be a busy day.
Im using domdomsoftware to download my manga from various sources (Batoto, kissmanga,...) and it has auto-zip function.
I'll admit I want this pretty bad.
Also if your tablet doesn't run a full OS you're a pleb. that means you Android and IOS
I read manga on my Nexus 7. Not the best, but I prefer to use it more than my phone and I've been actually reading now.
The Kindle's pretty good for reading mango, I like it.
Because no tablet.
And getting a large enough tablet that can display kanji in a readable manner would be too expensive.
But soon I'm going to win the lottery and buy tablets for all of /a/.
You don't even know what an OS is and you're calling people plebs.
x86 tablets are expensive though. I bought my Nexus 7 for $100 and it does everything I need it to.
Ha, I just read that yesterday.
Why would you want to spend 500+ on something you're pretty much just gonna read manga on?
Because I had to send my Nexus 7 back for repairs and I haven't gotten it back yet.
Which tablet is that? Looks really good.
Its NookHD+,I bought it when it hit bargain $150.
>>Also if your tablet doesn't run a full OS you're a pleb. that means you Android and IOS
Enjoy your overheated tablet and 4-hour battery life.
I was given an apple air ipad a month ago. I thought it's a useless piece of shit, but It's fucking great. 2k+ resolution screen, fucking light, perfect for watching anime and reading manga. Also absolutely perfect for hentai.
Really don't get why people with android don't just use manga watcher to read manga. It's the best app out there for it and you don't have to keep the shit you download if you have a tablet with low storage. It even has a cloud sync so you can keep track of what chapter and page you left off on when you switch devices.
4hr battery life is a thing of the past, unless you play game on it without charging in. SP2 can last me 9hrs if all I do is read manga and browse.
