If you combine all the anime made by every country in the world, how many series do you think are out there? I'd say there's about 350 series total.
I've already seen more than 350 series, so no.
>Made by every country
Well, let's see... there's the stuff Japan's made, and then there's the stuff Japan's outsourced to Korea, and... that's it.
Pic related, yeah?
That's possibly even more ridiculous than saying that there's only been 350 cartoons made in the west.
I've already seen over half that amount, and there's still quiet a few relatively well known anime that I haven't seen.
Even if you're only counting anime that have been translated, there's probably well over a thousand more that I haven't seen.
198 pages with 200 entries per page. That's about 40,000, and those are just ones that are notable enough to have a wiki page.
Some of those are cartoons, not anime.
ANN has at least 2862 anime shows listed on their site. There's probably quiet a few that have never been rated and even more that didn't get enough attention anywhere for ANN to take notice.
...Wait, why is Dual Masters rated so lowly? The dub was great.
Take this figure and times it by ten.
So is OP supposed to be a troll or what..?
Probably. The post is just too mild to troll anyone.
I messed up. Wikipedia only has about 1,300 anime listed. anidb.net has a more complete library, but it has many redundancies and I can't figure out how to get the total number besides.
you're also going to run into issues about long running series and sequels. does slayers count as one series, or three, for example.
imdb has 1406, i think.
i'd say you're a retarded failure
stats from ANN's encyclopedia:
- 4871 anime titles (+ 308 related)
- 1971 TV series, 1687 OAVs, 953 Movies, 205 TV specials, 30 ONAs, 25 Omnibus
