You guys are seriously missing out on a good show.
But I am watching it.
Not bad, but not great.
I ain't missing shit
Nigga please, it's one of my most anticipated shows of the week.
When you've seen them all and all you have is gin. it's worth a watch but it's only 11 eps each season for a reason. It's boring
But I'm not since I'm watching it.
Can't wait until it's over, so I can read it.
Is farming too much for you?
Another father added to the imaginary 'worst parents in anime' list. What a heartless father Chicken has.
Remember when there was a serious animation mistake in the OP of the first season and no one realized it
The fuck are you talking about? Best dad ever.
Your real dad must be even worse, then. I feel sorry for you, anon.
no. Care to explain?
I ALMOST missed out. I didn't pick up S1 last season. Then months later I saw some gifs of the foods in the show (specifically the sticky egg rice) and I was sold. I watched it and caught up just in time for S2. It's definitely one of my favorites now. Can't even remember how many times I've shed tears for 8ken-kun.
Tell me why you think he's a bad parent. Is it because he comes off as abrasive and callous? Consider the situation, he caught wind that his son was in the hospital and went to visit him. Does that not show he cares? Did his attitude give you the impression that he dislikes or even hates his son? That couldn't be more wrong, he wants his son to succeed and sometimes it takes some harsh truths to teach those lessons. What else is there? Is it because he didn't OISHIIIIIIIIII the bacon? Maybe he wants his son to aspire to greater things than trying to suck up to him.
I can never notice "QUALITY" while I'm watching something. I don't know how you guys pick it up.
Nobody watches 1st season OP cause it's sucks.
This manga has recently become very......serious. The path it's taking makes me question if Hatchi is even going to graduate or just go straight into business with the school. First time I've ever wanted filler chapters for something, but I feel like they're needed with how much progression there's been.
Now I have to get out of bed and get food. Thanks
This. As a person he's a bit of an asshole but as a parent he's ok (yeah, he could be more loving but we've seen he's that way with everyone). Even while he doesn't aprove of Hachiken's decisions he's letting him take control of his life.
That's not true. I never skipped it. The song itself is meh compared to the ED but listening to it always got me in the mood for the show.
This. You think 8kin would be in Ezonoo if his dad seriously didn't want him there? Who do you think is paying for his tuition? He just wants him children to be successful.
You're welcome anon. At least you get a bit of exercise.
Oh man, that's some funny shit.
He grabs the fucking slice from the middle of it, and doesn't even put his fingers under the piece, what the hell?
This show is great for reaction images I'll never use
Still desperately waiting for the ED release on the 19th.
I just listen to the TV size on repeat.
I hope they expand on why Hachiken hates his dad.
I saw him and didn't really feel like he was bad, just cold and a little misunderstood.
We're in season two and Hachiken is still a pussy about his insecurities, why?
Would have worked with just "getting hard" too.
Well technically this is just the second half.
Does not Armstrong appear anywhere else?
Pretty sure it's just the one cameo appearance, but I haven't been assed to check yet.
Isn't he also a teacher?
Yeah, he's the P.E. teacher at the school.
I don't know why but this this is my favorite series in a while.
She may be as dense as a neutron star but god damn Mikage has a booty
Best ED of the season, or best ED of the season?
She isn't even wearing pants.
She's cute as fuck too.
Yes she is.
We got a lot of good ed's this season but this is one of my favorites
Light colored ones. You can see the lines of the fabric...
WE HAVE A NEW CHALLENGER
i'd say it's just as good if not better than last seasons. it's just got that catchy magic that has you humming along.
Winter is coming... and it's a cruel season indeed...
Hopefully we'll get a season 3.
Not to mention that they modify it to match the mood of certain episodes, which makes it just that much better.
The visuals are better than the first ED for sure.
All I see is Dat Ass
Thin Tamako is best Tamako
Don't be fucking stupid I'm watching it every week on cue.
The lyrics of the OP/ED are very nice too.
Yeah, I get what you mean.
No other ending has had that effect onme this season.
He was doing fine until fullmetal Papa showed up.
Never saw the lyrics for them
Now they seem even more amazing
Later on he grows to respect him more. He's hard on him because he's such a pushover and so directionless in life. He actually is happy that his son starts to fight back and make his own way later on.
Season one killed it on an entertainment level and I'm so happy that season two is back on it.
I swear to god its so hard telling anyone who hasn't watched this to get into it because it's really hard to explain without it sounding boring.
>a show about farming based on real life
Only positive response I ever get is wjhen I mention its by the same mangaka as FMA.
>I hope they expand on why Hachiken hates his dad.
He feels pressured as fuck around him and that he's nothing but a disappointment to his dad. Basically, being around his dad makes him feel like a failure since he could never seem to live up to his expectations.
Shit I don't know why but the ED lyrics made me cry. It's just seems simple but beautiful.
I had the same problem with moyashimon. 4H club is a hard sell.
I have the same problem with Golden Time this season. Both this show and that one are very hard to describe without making them sound idiotic.
Moyashimon at least has the cute microbes and explicit educational segments, and is much more overtly comedy focused.
Well I mean, you have to grow up sometime, right?
did you forget the trap?
The only agriculture I need is Nourin.
Unless this show has butchers in it, I'm not really interested, guy.
It doesn't help that Golden Time had a mediocre start.
the last half of the first season was about killing a pig.
RIP in piece katsudon ;__;
>implying there aren't
Watch the first episode, guy.
It's butadon you doofus.
Most likely, theres enough source material, and by the time it comes back, there will be enough for a fourth.
>Unless this show has butchers in it
It does. A big part of the character development for the MC in the first season is getting over the fact that his everyday food comes from dead animals.
nourin is better.
Holy, her ZR gets me so hard, it's crazy. Just wanna swallow her juices up forever.
Is viewer demand high?
derp. katsudon is what i had for dinner tonight. don't know why i typed it out.
Can anyone make a transparency of this?
Thank you for confirming this. I thought it was just my imagination that opening of the ED seems to change for some episodes.
Well, it is delicious and it has the approval of our lord and saviors.
it was quite yummy. i meant to just type out "pork bowl" but for some reason katsudon came to mind.
Yeah, I always say, "Had a suuuuper cliche set up, but then abandoned it right away to actually be really well-written." Of course, Silver Spoon is well-written the whole way through.
He basically implied to chicken-kun
>You say you have friends?
>So did they visit you yet? No?
>So are they really your friends?
To a boy who's still struggling with self-esteem issues, that has got to hurt.
Picked the fuck up.
I love seeing ym profession in anime as much as I love seeing my country. My country isn't in any anime ;_;
IIRC, this sold pretty well, and S2 so far is getting great reviews. Not to mention, the live action is coming out in Area 11.
Elevens actually really like this manga which started out as people curious to see if the artist could have another hit like FMA, but were genuinely surprised when it was actually a great story.
>not curry katsudon
Keep in mind that the butcher and working the meat isn't the main focus of the first season. The MC does make bacon at the end though.
The main theme of the first season seems to basically be accepting that you have to kill something to eat. Later on in the manga they make sausage.
The entire series is basically about a city kid with self esteem issues who fails to get into the school his brother went to. So he basically runs away to farm school he thinks will be easy because he's pretty much given up. The main part of the series is basically about growing up and making your own place in the world. It's pretty well done. He's looking to start his own business in the manga right now.
after this season I'll start reading
I think I'm actually liking this better than S1 so far.
We've read the manga. The anime is quite good on its own though, despite skipping some things (like 8ken's brother helping at the festival and visiting him at the hospita, where he echanges some words with his father).
