... are out on TT.
Episode 07 had only minor changes.
Episode 08 is SIGNIFICANTLY improved.
Gee that's significant improvation indeed
The best improvements were shower scenes which I'd have to censor to post here.
Are the Menclave subs softsubs?
Yes. And the timing is ALMOST identical... Mencalve have the 3-second sponsor-splash, DVD raws don't.
it's late night, you could post in /e if that still doesn't convince you.
share the subs?
Okay, I'll go back and snap some of those when I'm done with the first pass.
Chihiro's bath scene had a lot less mist, but no extra naughty bits.
However, check the difference here: this one is flat color (the TV)...
... and here's the DVD version.
They're right here:
share the RETIMED subs?
Ah, if I retime them, then sure. I'm watching the Menclave subbed TV version and the (unsubbed) DVD RAW in parallel right now, to pick up differences.
What does anime and disney have in common?
Doesn't matter how you coat it I've already seen Snapes killing dumbledore.
Mmmm, delicious oversaturation!
Okay, worksafe shower comparison. Here's the TV.
i hate to be a faggot about this but please stop using pngs
... and here's the DVD.
Normally I use JPEGs, but it's really hard to show how much sharper the DVD images are without using a lossless format. Sorry.
And one of the scenes you've been waiting for! Here's the TV, the DVD is here: >>>/e/538860
oh GOD SHAFT, get it right the FIRST TIME.
That's it? It's just an ass.
Here's the TV, for the DVD please see >>>/e/538862
The TV, for DVD see >>>/e/538865
The most significant changes for me were the lighting, the added gradients in place of flat coloring, and how they changed some of the motion (which I can't do justice to using still shots).
This was a good looking episode when it aired, and now it's even better.
What program should I be using to re-time subs (while maintaining the fonts/positioning etc)?
I'm a faggot, so I would just code up something in Python. Don't know a damn thing about real timing programs.
Bump for someone who actually knows a damn thing about timing subs.
DVDs eh, good excuse to rewatch this again.
For something that simple, any subbing software would do. What choices are there, Aegisub, sabbu, something else?
