Why is Oniisame E one of the best looking 90s anime series?
>>
>>102224768
It wasn't. It was objectively good.

Since OPs "why" isn't valid anymore, I kindly ask everyone to let this thread just die.
>>
>>102225655
No.
>>
But they weren't. Especially not Slayers (though there was plenty of QUALITY).

>Slayers is the only example from the decade
>no other series existed
>Anime strictly adheers to a single artstyle per decade regardless of the source martial, character designer, director or studio.

Fucking kill yourself

Outlaw Star, Tenchi, G Gundam, Evangelion, Rayearth, Trigun, Berserk. 90s, cel-shaded, art is the best, followed by 80s art, with art from 2005 onward trailing way, way behind the two eras. Case in point; LOTGH's remake in comparison to the original. Too much bright and colorful digital animation, paired with too many giant, saucer eyed, copy and pasted moeblobs. I honestly think that most people who think otherwise are to young to remember anything other than digital.

Only some were sort of bad. It was a different decade of animation of the 80's, which to me, they were trying to add a bit of western look to it (Look at early episodes of Urusei Yatsura and Lupin). I think by the end of the 80's the signature 'Japan animation' style was starting and it took the decade to come together.

Some early 2000s anime were pretty bad for their time like Transformers Armada, which had animation on par with the likes of Mars of Destruction and Musashi Gundoh, no hyperbole. It's sad that the animators put more effort into the OP and the stock transformation/powerlinking footage than the episodes themselves, although to be fair it's not uncommon.
>>
Early 2000 anime looked terrible since they weren't good with cg yet.
>>
early 2000s was objectively worse looking
>>
Shading.
>>
why was Slayers so shit looking?
>>
>>102232329
Not as shit looking as Lost Universe which coined the term "yashigani"
>>
