As we got to the middle of this wild ride, how do you feel about this season, a/?
I picked up lots of shows, but was disappointed with most of them.
There are a lot of mediocre to okay shows, a couple really awful shows, and a couple really great shows.
Even if there's a lot airing, it still mostly feels like a filler/junk season to me, but that could be more a result of winter weather, or something I'm really anticipating in Spring, that makes me not able to appreciate this season as much as maybe I could under other circumstances.
>I picked up lots of shows, but was disappointed with most of them.
This is pretty much how I feel. I actually think my favorite is Tonari no Seki-kun, but it's a short so I'm not sure it really counts.
A lot of my favorite shows are crossovers from last season, so I'm not sure how I feel. Just looking at this season it's pretty meh with a few pretty good shows. It's got nothing on my hype for Spring though. Too many shows in Spring.
Same. A bunch of shows also had strong first episodes but then moved into being disappointing.
At this point I'd say Noragami, GnS S2, SYD S2 and Sekai Seifuku are the best.
Pilot's Love Story is the biggest disappointment.
>Pilot's Love Story is the biggest disappointment.
This. I thought it would be Last Exile with romance and not that blabbing about poormen and aristocrates.
This season has lot's of shots. Tonari no Seki kun is the best one among them.
Better than anticipated. Only a couple of shows are actually outstanding, but a lot of the other stuff is pretty watchable to various degrees. It helps to have so many leftovers from fall season.
The only "new" show that has lived up to its hype is Silver Spoon S2. The biggest surprise is probably Mikakunin. The biggest disappointment is sadly Pilot's Love Song indeed.
>The biggest surprise is probably Mikakunin.
I missed out this show. What do you like about it?
>how do you feel about this season
need more incest.
It is GJ-bu levels of nice and cozy.
After a weak (actually terrible) start, I'd have to say Witch Craft Works is definitely now my pick for the best of the winter season. Most entertaining for sure.
I'm also really enjoying Seitokai Yakuindomo 2, Noragami, Tonari no Seki-kun, Silver Spoons 2, Chuuni 2 and even Nobunagun.
I had huge hopes for Space Dandy, it's okay, but a little disappointment taints my enjoyment. I adore the D-frag manga, but it's not transitioning well to the screen for some reason.
But seriously, if you guys dropped Witch Craft Works, it's time to pick it up again.
There are a few really good shows, and a lot of average ones. Sometimes I like to watch the average ones because then when I switch to the great ones on my backlog I appreciate them more.
Thank you. Ill go give that show another try in a minute
The only shows i'm keeping up with this season (aside from Magi, HXH, Kingdom and Log Horizon from previous season) are Gin no Saji, Hoozuki, Noragami. disappointed in some of the other shows
Why do the magic shows suck so much, I was hyped for Sensou and Wizard Barristers but they just don't cut it.
this show is so best
This pretty much sums up Wizard Barristers.
As usual, there's mostly mediocre or worse shows, and a few good ones.
My favorites are Noragami and Hamatora.
Spess Dundee is spectacular.
Great visuals and OST, but the execution is kind of a rollercoaster. Still a very refreshing show to have neverthless.
I'm pretty dissapointed with this season. All shows that have potential pretty much fall flat. Most enjoyable shows are leftovers from last season (LH and KLK) and shorts (Seki-kun and RGZ).
But hey, at least I have time for my backlog.
Lots of potential, but everything is slightly above average at best. Nothing is great. I'm almost tempted to call it worse than last winter, because that at least had chihayafuru.
>but everything is slightly above average at best
Hey now, Noragami, Chuu22, Oneechan ga kita and Seki-kun are great.
Sekai Seifuku could go either way, and SYD is very polarizing.
Picked up more than I thought I would before the season started and enjoy most of it.
They aren't. You just have low standards.
They are. You have great taste.
You could replace Chuu44 with Mikakunin though.
Seki-kun gets a few chuckles, but it isn't great by any means. I don't like the way they use music and sound effects at all, and it detracts from the experience. Chuu4 and Noragami are solidly produced shows, but they have their problems. Noragami just seems to be meandering around aimlessly, while Chuu4 has no point to it after the ending of the first season. It's just aimless fanservice. Oneechan ga kita is okay, but forgettable. I don't think it's that funny.
I agree nothing is truly "great" that isn't from last season, but there's been a lot more enjoyable and good stuff than I expected.
>Oneechan ga kita
It's fucking terrible. The only good aspect about is that it's 3 minutes.
Nothing is great, but it's an entertaining season nonetheless.
>You just have low standards.
>Noragami just seems to be meandering around aimlessly, while Chuu4 has no point to it after the ending of the first season
Noragami is still characterizing everyone and world building. It's biggest issue is that there's too much stuff for a one cour show. I don't understand your comment about Chuu22 at all. It's a comedy with a little cute romance thrown in. All of those thing are being delivered and the show is doing well.
>It's fucking terrible.
No that's your taste.
She reminds me of Nino.
Of course you do. There are maybe 20 TV anime overall that are great. There isn't a single great anime this season.
I think you're confusing Masterpiece/Amazing with Great. Even then, there are certainly more than 20.
everything sucks, except space dandy has been decent
Then you're taste is shit.
I've been watching the 2nd coeurs of shows from fall. I watched the first episodes of a few shows, but nothing stuck.
I am watching like 15 shows and the only one which I think is shit is Wizard Barristers, this is a great season.
AotS for Tonari no seki-kun.
>There are maybe 20 TV anime overall that are great.
Wow. You must not like anything.
I'm still following Wacky Adventures of Lelouch, Gil and Seiba because you need every once in a while so you know when the good times come.
Now I'm just gonna wait on the good times, when next D-Frag comes out.
Winter is the best season so far, I enjoyed pretty much every show apart from Mahou Sensou.
godam her fucking legs....
Nobody talking about Nisekoi... Really /a/?
The most generic haremshit highschool romcom manga adapted into a shitty anime? Who the fuck would watch that?
That's some exceptionally shitty taste.
I'm watching it for Shaft's visuals.
I don't really care about plot or characters, whitch are too generic for me.
