What is up with all the bird imagery in the Patlabor movies?
There are birds everywhere, different species and at key moments. Am I missing something?
>The birds constitute the eyes of God watching over the acts of the characters in the story, silently observing them amidst their travail. An "inner audience" as it were.
I thought it might have had something to do with elimination of nature, or lack of freedom. That is a cool though, sort of obvious now that I think of it.
