Since when is Gon supposed to have moral?
cute shotas do cute things
remember this scene?
>His reaction was very simple
>He opens his mind to everything that impresses him, right or wrong.
>Which means that he’s dangerous…
If I've seen the original HXH, where should I start in the new one?
since episode 47
Immediately before Greed Island.
when did this happen? Stop being a illiterate idiot and pay attention.
fights pitou=komugi dies
Nigger, he WOULD have told Killua to murder the helpless blind girl if he had a radio when Pitou betrayed him.
no he wouldn't have because his only goal was to kill pitou at all costs
>Gon isn't a traditional shonen MC bound to endless moralfaggotry
Based, based Togashi.
The biggest trantrum I've seen in animu.
Why would he give a shit about some girl he doesn't know that's working with the enemy.
Don't cut yourself on that edge.
except he's right. Gon, and to a lesser degree all of Togashi's characters tend to be rather morally ambiguous. They tend to act more off animal instinct then any moral code. All Gon was thinking about was being pissed, awesome blind girl was barely a blip on the radar.
Am i the only one who had dirty thoughts when pitou said "Just let me save the girl, and i'll DO ANYTHING"
I am sure most viewers paused the video and fapped to cat emperor time again
I've never seen hunter x hunter, is it that good?
but dragon dive was war murdered the little girl
I am Ruplong, the Avenger of Samples.
People crying "EDGE" while talking about this is beyond stupid.
Never before have anime only fags been so clearly defined.
Go read the manga and you'll actually get a complete characterization of Gon and how he is more complex than just "oh I'm angry now" or "oh I need to save everyone because that's the shonen MC trope".
My dick feel funny.
Bu-but he is a guy.
So when do you guys think he will be relevant again?
That doesn't stop it from being edgy.
Edgy is a reddit buzzword
AFter the hunter exam
oh I don't know
He had absolutely no way of knowing that she was blind, that she wasn't an ant, and that she wasn't one of the King's evil science projects. All three would have been my assumption in his circumstances.
Actually, what made my dick tingle was watching Pitou sweat the entire time.
That usually doesn't turn me on but maybe the whole situation made it more special for some odd reason.
Look, it's generally agreed that no matter what gender pitou is, we'd stick a big smelly dick in it.
What does edge even mean anymore?
It used to describe a tendency (mostly found in pubescent people) of trying to be different from the norm, generally in a dark and "evil" direction.
The protagonists of Chuunibyu are edgy. Gon is just fucking angry.
Gon is a kid and kids throw tantrums
His probably does too
He comes back in glorious fashion for the alluka arc.
What pisses me off is, that according to word of god, Gon is only a little bit weaker at the end of the current arc.
Half of the people watching HXH are gayfaggots, son.
Seemingly unlimited nen
and an ass that just won't quit
word of god?
Homosexuality is a mental illness caused by the environment you grow up in and you guys should see a therapist srs
Killua goes full kanmuru next episode. Are you ready?
That picture scares me. boy or girl, i want my pitou a little less like something out of a shitty yaoi
>mental illness caused by the environment you grow up
Care to elaborate? What kind of environment produces homosexuals?
Word of God means it was something put forward by the author as official canon material.
This was in the manga back when this arc was going on. It basically details the current power rankings for characters, with the exception of the king.
Poor Zushi. At least he has Wing's love.
>LE MORAL FAGGOTRY DISEASE
What does Spirit mean in this context? Bravery?
Pity that he was, until that very chapter.
The change makes no fucking sense.
fighting spirit i assume. See Knov and shoot.
zodiac family isn't on the list
Holy shit, this thread is cancer.
It's been hinted that Gon was awfully selfish multiple times.
fuck, Zoldyck i mean
Gon-san literally rapes Pitou.
Because we really didn't see them fight. I assume he was saving it for a later point, so that he didn't bind himself. (X>Y so why didn't X win?)
He's also let a bunch of serial killers go free for no good reason.
Actually you don't see what happens to Genthru. I mean I don't think a regular prison could hold him, could the Hunters have a special prison for him? Or did they really let him go free? If so that's messed up.
then why aren't Gon, Hisoka and Pitou at 5?
>Razor Stronger than Morel
I can see that
This is a retarded list.
>Bisk is that strong
Well i wasn't expecting that.
>Biscuit stronger than strongest spider
It's just stats, not the real outcome of fights.
Bisk, Wing have a lot going for them stat wise but in a fight they'd be easily beaten by someone who is a better killer.
>leorio weaker than ikalgo
your post is the worst in this thread. congrasts on failing to live up to the standard of what you consider cancer.
Gon and pitou will fight almost anything that moves, Hisoka tends to be very picky. (he skipped multiple matches in the arena because he just didn't feel like it)
Biscotti is 60 years old and good friends with the chairman. What did you expect?
I hate he's the Yamcha of the series, he's a bit of a tragic character.
>Based Knuckle and Shoot having less over all power than Killua and Gon.
I find that hard to believe.
Is that rating for Gon as a little tyke or super nova maximum rage Gon?
Why is togashi so stupid?
why is Pitous talent 4?
he literally learned how to use nen 5 seconds after being born
Best analogy I heard was to Yu-Gi-Oh TCG.
In Yu-Gi-Oh, every card has a printed ATK/DEF stat. Monsters with higher ATK destroy monsters with lower. But the cards also have card effects, and there are tons of ways to get rid of an enemy monster through card effects and that's why vanilla beatstick monsters with just strong attack/defense are not used anymore.
Compared with HxH, Nen = monster effects. Some effects have nothing to do with combat. Others are specifically combat geared. Just because you have Nen, doesn't mean you are good at killing others. And just because you are strong, doesn't mean you can beat someone with Nen.
And why are gon and killua's talents not 5?
Gon and Killua are once in a generation talents. They're also only 14 years old, but already comparable in strength to veteran Hunters like Knuckle and Shoot.
Both have done nothing but train for 2 years since the first Hunter Exam, but that was enough to go from scrubs to top-tier.
Yeah, It's pretty well known that Gon had ridiculous stats, but he doesn't really have the experience to back it up. Remember the biscuit talk to killua how just because your weaker, doesn't mean you'll lose.
>that part were she transforms in the greed island arc
She made that dude into hamburger, she also beat the snot out of Killua in "training".
Yeah but unlike Yamcha he's not trying to be a great warrior, he wants to be a doctor first and foremost. He only learned a bit of nen on the side.
I imagine if Killua was killed in front of Gon he would probably hesitate at whatever task he was performing, while in a similar case Netero would still manage to continue flawlessly.
Same goes probably for Pitou if the King was killed in front of her.
Do you have the clean screecap? He looks cute there
No it's not.
That came out of nowhere. What could homosexuality possibly have to do with Hunter x Hunter?
Rewatch the Yorkshin arc. It's even better than the original was. You could skip Greed Island and just watch the last episode of that if you wish.
Oh fuck you.
Such a great picture ruined because the artist feels the need to be a faggot.
I don't know how that ^ ended up in my reply box, but it's better than my response any day.
Now that Gon is no longer a Hunter Hunter what is he going to hunt?
Rule 1 is you must hunt something.
nothing, the series is over.
Gon's is, look again. The numbers are not alligned properly.
I would assume talent has something to do with perfecting your nen or something. Pitou, while immensely strong, doesn't have absolute control over it, seeing how his/her aura is fucking chaotic.
Gon, on the other hand, is able to focus all his aura into a fucking singularity if he wishes.
I can only assume that's what talent means on this list.
y-yes you pervert!
who would ever think about having sex with a nekoonna. skebe
Favorite arch so far? I think greed island or the battle arena (the tower, I forget the name).
I think the interesting part here is that due to eachother's influence Gon is slowly becoming more and more rutheless while Killua is becoming more and more humane. Character development!
>MFW people take the powerlist as a literal "who-beats-who" chart
You have to keep in mind what their actual abilities are as well.
Yeah, the fact that killua was talking gon down made me chuckle a little bit.
Oh come on, greed island?
Yorkshin > Chimera Ant > Heaven's Arena > Rest
I liked greed island for the adventure of it. I like hen they travel a lot.
Chimera and Heavens arena.
I guess I can see that. It's kind of the same reason I enjoy Log Horizon. That, and the fact that there is a set of rules to the worlds, which always makes it interesting.
The only correct answer is York and Ant.
Reminder to not bully
Is it worth picking log horizion up? I started it, but when i realized nobody could die, i got bored real quick.
I would bully her/him so hard..
Manga: Yorkshin and chimera
2011 anime: Hunter exam and Chimera, with Yorkshin just missing out.
I really like the music from the hunter's exam arc.
But spirit of the martial artist is still the best theme in the Anime.
The whole not dying thing hasn't been very relevant to the story so far. Up until now it has mostly been politics between NPCs and the Adventurers.
I personally really enjoy the exploration of what the sudden awakening of the adventurers means and how it affects the world and everyone living in it. Quite interesting.
I just picked it up. I enjoy it so far, but it isn't AOTY or anything. Idm starting Shin Sekai Yori too, which is good so far...
Don't do it
Yes, it's one of my favorite scenes this year.
I looked through the manga for this scene, and promptly deleted it. I don't know how anyone bothers with this artistically dry manga. The anime is great though.
Yorkshin was amazing.
The rest is pretty much shit.
Especially Chimera arc, just your typical drawn-out shonen garbage, that mercilessly drags on.
I mean it took them like 3 episodes to run up the fucking stairs.
But Killua only has a 3 for talent. It's probably more the environment he grew up in for him
No the nuke poison/radiation is what killed her.
Still this whole thing with Pitou is hilarious. How is Gon such a retard that he thinks Kite can be 'fine/healed' with the state he's currently in? Is Gon naive enough to think it's just nen mindcontrol? Whilst at the same time exhibiting a weird self control that he's willing to wait for a rematch then go through with a nen magic 'I win' contract to finish it off? His mental state is all over, most likely intended due to 'lol emotions', but seriously, there's something wrong with him if he was that naive (yet alone if it's naivety and not just some kind of blind optimism over the situation they are in). Sorry for ramble.
If you hate the show why are you still watching it?
It's too late to drop it now.
The same reason anyone would ever watch/read wan piss.
I don't know.
sometimes I think gon is like 10 years old or something
I genuinely enjoy One Piece, that's why I'm still reading it.
Nobody's forcing you at gunpoint to keep going.
Some proper fights will hopefully begin soon, that should bring up the pace a bit, if previous climax fights are anything to go by.
I hate this whole aspect of CA arc, super ants that are lead by a monster ('the strongest hunter') couldn't beat (it never went into if he could be beaten by an interesting nen power, since I assumed netero's buddha shit was pure skill not nen). So during all this, old man is recruited, clearly capable of taking out non royal guards, why other than 'lolPoliticalIntrigue' were other hunters/powerful as fuck people not recruited in some manner to help? We get notice of them doing so taking out ants that leave the island, but nothing else. I guess it's part of what the next few arcs would have entailed with the elections and what not, but seriously, 'human domination' was clearly threatened, more should have been aware and worried. I kind of wanted something more to tie into the whole kings 'we are not that different inbehaviour to humans' things, sadly they got wiped out before that could really come full circle.
He is 13, dude.
There were only two other people who was capable enough for the chairman to bring. Morel and Knov. Just bringing in others would be like bringing lambs to the slaughter.
I believe its mentioned somewhere that each time the king eats a "special" human his own power grew and he got a greater understanding of nen powers.
Sending anyone but the best would be just asking for them to get captured and eaten, thus making the gap even larger.
One thing that didn't make sense afterwards was the fact they didn't bring the likes of the Zodiac guys with them, instead they brought a few students and paid off Grampa Zoldyck to help out.
Its pretty clear that there are a good amount of Kite/Knuckle/Shoot level guys kicking around amongst the hunters, seeing as from the hunter exam at least 3 people made it to that level. (maybe even before the hunter exam).
Those two aren't that strong in combat. They just have really useful recon abilities. The mission was to get netero as close as possible, get him separated, and hope for the best. If Netero couldn't beat him 1vs1, then they had the bomb set, which is the main reason they sent out the crews like that in the first place. Meloreon + Knov probably could've done some pretty serious damage to the king, but Togashi wrote that out by giving Knov really shitty constitution.
Morel is pretty badass.
Morel is pretty good in combat, the reason he did fuck all in the final showdown was due to him being exhausted from all the events up to then, he never got real chance to recoup.
Knov was pretty useless though, once he told them he was out they should've brought in another guy to back Morel up, seemed pretty selfish just to bail like that and leave him on his own, even worse when you factor in the above statement about Morel.
I always thought those brown parts were shorts or some shit, is it actually skin and if so, what kind of animal is that a part of?
Really he was just experienced and smart, and his opponents were distracted or stupid. Cheetu trapped himself by using a nen ability that he really didn't need, running himself thin. Pafu was too busy doing recon to really fuck with him. Lionbro got fucked by Science, and Youpi let him go. If he ran into any of the combat spiders, hisoka, or illumi, there'd be a lot of trouble, since he can't really rely on his wits against those with a shit load of combat experience.
>I always thought those brown parts were shorts or some shit, is it actually skin and if so, what kind of animal is that a part of?
it's probably just muscle fibres
Like, no skin around that area, muscle showing
In the anime it's colored quite red so wud make sense
Hell attempt to rope in notHieiMantletExpy that can use also use supernova nen. Spiders as we saw had some really fucking powerful nen users. Fuck, even Judgement chain should fucking work on ants. The justifications used in the arc are more to keep the cast small and plot that humans are still jerks safely hiding away from the danger and throwing their political enemies to the wolves. What was the back up plan to the dirty bomb, how did they know what ever was in it, would effect ants?
gon is best shonen MC
best shonen MC ever
Since when he turned down an offer to join the Phantom Troupe since he didn't agree with their practices
That was because the Troupe tried to capture him. That was self preservation not morals
Reminder that Togashi will never write again and we will never see the DC.
>That was because the Troupe tried to capture him.
No he was pretty disgusted with them especially how they treated one of their comrades
and he couldn't betray kurapika
chapter 399 was the perfect open ending
Uh...no? He blatantly stated that he hated their methods, not just because they captured him. He also didn't like how they didn't trust one of their own. You faggots wanna make up your own interpretations of shit when the anime is telling you otherwise.
> especially how they treated one of their comrades
Which would be him, you ultrabaka, if he had joined.
Gon didn't agree with the Troupe's methods. He turned them down for more reasons than just self preservation.
>You faggots wanna make up your own interpretations of shit when the anime is telling you otherwise.
Every HxH thread ever.
>Togashi's characters tend to be rather morally ambiguous.
Yusuke was a complete moralfag. What the fuck are you talking about?
Please do tell us of your wisdom.
>A child getting angry because someone killed hi friend
>OHHHH HE IS SO MORALLY AMBIGUOUS
Why are HxHfags so retarded?
Reminder that the King probably would have lived if Poofu wasn't a conniving cunt who wanted Komugi dead.
Since Doctor Blythe probably would have been able to cure the poison and Pitou wouldn't have acted if she thought Kogumi was at risk.
Poofu's scheming is the direct cause of his death.
is Facebook leaking again?
Showerpouf is best servant.
>seemed pretty selfish just to bail like that and leave him on his own, even worse when you factor in the above statement about Morel.
Yeah, because bringing in some guy who shat himself so hard, his hair turned white to a fight is such a great idea and he will in no way be a liability to everyone around him in his current state.
I mean sure, he was useless in a fight but he still decided to fuck around in the palace anyway. Morel and Shoot would be dead if he didn't take them to his room.
Can't wait to see more of his trickery.
Gon is a sociopath. Discuss.
I used to think gon was best girl, now, I just don't know.
The amount of double think in the HxH fanbase is astounding. If any other shounen manga did this, or something similar like in SnK, all everyone would do is shit on the manga for being ultra edgy. It's just as humorous to see people shit on Naruto for having Madara be near invincible and the only way to defeat him would be an asspull at this point, where as the Ant King was in the same position, was defeated by an asspull as a result of the author wanting to quickly end the arc, and no one bats an eye.
It depends, have you seen the OVAs ?
that whole rose bomb was cool as fuck, prove me wrong.
So fighting Pitou while (s)he's healing Komugi, even though he doesn't know what the fuck Doctor Blythe is supposed to do (and he thought the cute antcatgirlboy was doing the same thing she did to Kaito) is considered murder? Okay.
That's about as much as I'd expect from someone who uses memegenerator.
Jesus fuck Gon.
I once started reading the manga and found the characters to be pretty cool. I mean, other than edgy-edgyness, but having a grown-up on the main cast was (back then) refreshing.
It was a cool shonen where people fought each other with smarts (other than edgy, because he's a XXXKILLERXXX), and it was living up to the hype it had.
And then, grown-up dude disappeared, and they started introducing this nen-chakra, only to gon and edgyness, of course. And then i stopped giving a fuck about all those new characters and factions.
I never went back to the series and i feel like i've missed nothing thanks to the /a/ threads.
There was no lie in this blogpost, but feel free to call my tastes shit. It won't make this series better.
how can someone be so wrong
