An action based anime with the same story as it's manga counterpart is always objectively better because you can't portray motion and impact in the same way you can in animation.

I don't think anyone really says the manga's better in the case of SnK.
speaking generally, AoT is just an example.
And you can add awful filler and fuck up the pacing just as well.
I actually agree on general principle, though there can be exceptions for really shitty anime adaptations - while action mangas CAN be very good, adding the dimensions of motion and sound makes scenes far more powerful if done half well.
