2014: The year SHAFT conclusively smashed Kyoani
Don't fool yourself, OP. Kizu is never coming out.
>This year I think our TV series should follow a path of trying to bring new stories and characters to the screen. We'll still continue existing IPs through specials and movies because the desire of the fans is there, but we're going to be focusing our efforts on the new series from new creators we're bringing to television
>MAKE MORE SEQUELS
>THAT FMP GUY WE SQUEEZED FOR MONEY MADE A NEW LN? ACQUIRE IT
But chuu2 is objectively better than nisekoi, and nisekoi is very good.
Also KyoAni is taking risk (that means trying new things, faggot) to save anime with fujoswim and tamako and stuff. SHAFT just keep milking their gatari.
what year does SHAFT not crush Kyoani?
Both are shit.
>Kyoani takes risks
>By making sequels to successful shows
Monogatari, Tamako Market, and Free are from 2013 you doofus.
>and nisekoi is very good.
You're retarded m8
Chuu2 has the same problem as season 1. Stats good, keeps getting shitty towards the end.
I don't care how bad Kyoani's stuff is this year, Shaft loses for crapping out that piece of shit
Shaft is my very favorite studio, but Nisekoi suuuuuucks.
>that ridiculous bias
>comparing shows that haven't even aired yet
What the fuck OP?
Also, Nisekoi is shit.
If you seriously believe that Nisekoi is better than Chuu3, then I strongly recommend medical attention.
Fans of the *monogatari series are the most insufferable pieces of shit.
Your shit is as petty and revolting as any other haremshit show, yet you treat it as being something more? As something worthy of merit?
You really want to compare notes with Monogatari and the average haremshit?
As a fan of a nice campy harem-shit show Monogatari is leagues ahead in terms of characterization and interesting setup
>implying the Tamako movie will not be a beautiful labour of love
Y-yes it will...
>which piece of shit smells more?
>nisekoi is very good
Goddamn that shit taste.
Yet since spring 2013 a fucking subsidiary has stuck dicks in both their asses.
Nisekoi is terrible.
>shatfag still obsessed over Kyoani
What a fucking surprise
>Fans of the *monogatari series are the most insufferable pieces of shit.
No, haters of it are.
>Still pitting Shaft v. KyoAni
>They both didn't even have the best selling show last year
i enjoy the 'twists' they add to the styles, its familiar but unexpected to put in in possibly the most cliched way. i guess it just appeals to my ADD too much
Is it possible for Suruga not to look fucking sexy no matter how she dresses or does her hair?
I've never seen a character look so fucking good in so many styles.
>this line up for both studios
u avin a giggle m8?
No, she is the sexiest monogatari with the most boner inducing voice.
I think you mean the other way around because the first 6 episodes of Chuu2 were fucking terrible and only the forced drama made that lolrandumb chunni garbage bearable.
Would be a pretty nice combo for Shaft if they didn't make Nisekoi.
>nisekoi is very good.
You haven't seen many K-on official art posters then
I will never understand why Shaft adapted Nisekoi.
They always have taste in picking material to adapt, but this time they picked Nisekoi, the shittiest harem of our time.
Because Aniplex asked them to, and the manga is popular?
I hope you don't think Shinbo just wakes up one day and decides all by himself he's going to adapt x LN series or x manga.
The shirt strap merges with the arm
Nisekoi < Chuuni
Kageroi > Tamako because Tamako is already shit
More Monogatari >(?) Dont know what that is
Monogatari movie > Free
Welp, I guess it's true
ok ok ok... i REALLY dont want to do this. but im going to light the fuse....
someone/everyone tell me why Nisekoi is such shit.
before you blow up
i get that its is probably THE MOST generic thing that i have ever witnessed on this planet. there is nothing special about it. that being said, i think that there is a place for it. not as anything great or wonderful, but not labeled as shit and thrown away. i wanna hear it.
Kyoani just turned full on female fucking orientated, nothing glorified like you said.
You can see it in Tamako, you can see it in Chuu2 Ren, and you can DEFINITELY see it in their main dish, Free!.
It's over, they just decided they're taking a monopole on the female fans and leave male otaku do what they want, they care not about them any longer.
>Nisekoi < Chuuni
This is correct.
>Kageroi > Tamako because Tamako is already shit
Tamako Love Story is different than Tamako Market, and who knows how they will deal with Mekaku City Actors
>More Monogatari >(?) Dont know what that is
Amagi Brilliant Park already sounds more promising than Monogatari ever was.
>Monogatari movie > Free
Except Kizu's release is nowhere to be seen and Free's broadcast season hasn't been announced either.
>Welp, I guess it's true
So far it's not true, and you even proved it yourself, because out of the things that have already aired and have at least some material to judge (none are finished yet) Chuu2ren is better.
I like shaft a lot. They have more of a style and creative enterprise to them.
>Amagi Brilliant Park already sounds more promising than Monogatari ever was.
Only giving Mekaku a try. Zero interest in the remaning stuff.
>Amagi Brilliant Park already sounds more promising than Monogatari ever was.
>The story centers around a high school student Seiya Kanie. On a Sunday, a mysterious transfer student
who carries a musket gun Isuzu Sento takes him to an old and deserted amusement park Amagi Brilliant
Park in Amagi-city, which is located in the western part of Tokyo. He is told that if the park can't attract
100,000 visitors in the next two weeks, it will be closed immediately. For some reason, Seiya has to save
the park as an acting manager.
I know there's a contingent of people who don't |like| Monogatari but having your head so far up your ass to say that it isn't interesting is pure fucking faggotry.
But SHAFT have been relying on Madoka and Monogatari for years now.
>implying anyone cares about SHAFT and KyoAni anymore
You forgot to mention that there is magic, that the park is a real castle which's princess is dying and need urgent help to the point that it gets depressing, also you forgot that the mascots carry weapons, etc. In other words, you left out most of the premise.
Sure thing, my little troll. Sure thing.
>That there is magic
OH FUCK STOP THE PRESSES THERE:S MAGIC OH I WAS SO WRONG
You are the anime viewer that Kore Was Zombie specifically mocks, the one who you just throw the kitchen sink of generic fantasy adjectives in front of a generic anime setup and then its "interesting".
Whereas Monogatari is interesting as it can take the most basic of setups and do wonders. Hell, crap like Ghost Stories has the same setup as Monogatari but it executes in such a more meaningful way that no company will dub it because its so dense in meaning and references.
Kizu is the Duke Nukem Forever of anime: We all joke that it will never come out, then a serious date is announced, people shit their pants in agony while waiting, and then when it finally comes out, it's so mediocre that it takes a post on an anonymous image board to make you remember it ever actually came out
And here people wonder why people call monogatari and its fans pretentious.
Amagi is a drama/action/slapstick show set in an amusement park that is a magical castle that is in trouble and the princess is dying because there are no visitors and the MC has to solve it to save the princess.
Monogatari is a harem, the only difference is that the MC has a girlfriend, but that sure didn't stop him from kissing or fucking or molesting every single girl in the series. Can anyone even tell me what the goal in monogatari is? What the main plot is about? No? Oh, I should've known.
How about let's watch both series first before trying to sling shit at each other
>tfw I enjoy both Shaft and Kyoani shows
>tfw I know that both studios have made pure shit alongside their respective gems
You niggers need to chill the fuck out and enjoy your cartoons
>Monogatari is a harem, the only difference is that the MC has a girlfriend
Wow, an actual novel setup. Let's just look up the list of generic harem where the MC has a....oh...its the only one of note.
You keep leaning on the setup as the sad little crutch and I'll play your sad game.
Fine, Monogatari is a "generic" harem monster high anime...
Where the MC doesn't pussyfoot around and settles with a love interest who isn't the lead female because he actually feels more attracted to her
Where the mentor character pisses off of his own will and reasons without coming back to fix the MC's problem
Where the "rules" of the series are personified and plays against all factions
Where an emotion can be represented with a single frame of color or a ten minute long monologue but have as much impact
Where conversations about breakfast are really dogfights about personality flaws
...or I can watch Generic slapstick shit-show because: "You forgot to mention that there is magic!"
:- An actual fan of Shoji Gatoh's work without his head up his ass
You are doing to Amagi Park what he did to Monogatari.
>Generic slapstick shit-show
Way to ignore the drama and action parts just because you like this kind of straws better.
Tell me about one show, regardless of genre, set in an amusement park.
Like I said, I'm an actual fan of Gatoh and I really like the way he took FMP with SIGMA (Degenerate Witch Tessa is best Tessa) so I'll give Amagi a shake but like I said: You can dislike Monogatari for how and what it does but claiming its "a generic harem anime" is intellectual bankruptcy. Case in Point:
Awww shitt nigga...MAGIC |AND| AMUSEMENT PARKS, THEY ARE SAVING ANIME WITH EVERY FRAME
So you can't name one?
Despite its identity as a prison and theme park, Deadman Wonderland houses a much darker secret. Hidden away from the eyes of tourists and the general prison population is a massive underground facility known as "G Block". This is where the prison keeps their Deadmen secluded and where the Carnival Corpse arena is located. G Block also houses numerous laboratories and rooms where experiments on humans are performed and where scientists are attempting to harness the powers of the Deadmen for monetary and political gain.
No, but I know a Prison-Amusement Park-Auschwitz hybrid?
Hear that, its the sound of your definition of a random setting choice as defining "interesting" in an anime being shat on from 10,000ft.
I don't get it, you're getting offended that I called monogatari a generic harem when it's more than that, and yet you call a show you can't even compare to one (one!) other show generic?
We both know that monogatari is more than a harem, and we both know that ABP is going to be far from generic.
Oh, an underground laboratory, that comes really close to an amusement park! Guess your claims of ABP being generic were completely justified!
they were no match from the beginning you drug headed bitch OP
KyoAni hasn't been relevant since K-ON. I don't know why people are still trying to force them into studio wars with SHAFT.
>chuu2 better than anything
i haven't seen nisekoi yet, but i can't imagine anything worse than chuu2. is nisekoi that bad?
>Set in an amusement park
>Instantly saves anime
How about telling us what's actually good about it instead of baiting like a faggot.
This year Meguca Rebellion Movie's BD will be out and subbed. Brace yourself, /a/. It's only a matter of time 'till you worship SHAFT.
While you were being disingenuous and intellectually bankrupt as I noted I was being genuine.
How are we different? Simple: Monogatari has been putting in a quality anime since 2009 with a handful of low points (Nise) but otherwise executing on a concept extremely well.
Whereas Amagi is an unproven quantity as an anime and could fall flat on its face if handled incorrectly. Precedence: Full Metal Panic Second Raid. We've already seen Gatoh's work stripped of all character and nuance and shat out on screen for a quick cash-grab so until Episode 3 I will call it like I see it as generic in premise
I never claimed it's saving anime, I'm neither Yamakan nor as stupid. All I said is that it's actually promising. It's got talented staff, a talented writer, talented animators, a creative setting, interesting premise, etc.
>can't imagine anything worse than chuu2
Watch more shows, kid.
People really seem to have a hateboner for monogatari around here.
>I question the reasoning behind a series a decade old that is a completely separate franchise than this is, so I will deem this new one as generic even if I don't know anything about it.
What're we supposed to do? Stop arguing with eachother cyclically and go and actually |watch| chinese cartoons? What're you a faggot?!
People really seem to have a hateboner for KyoAni around here.
>with a handful of low points (Nise)
I'm on your side but you take that back. Nise was great.
Nope. We're supposed to beat our imoutos and slam some booze.
It has serious pacing problems, but I will admit it sure does have high points. (I even used the concept of a younger sibling only knowing the idealized version of a family from Phoenix in a speech I gave)
chuu2 is the worst anime i've seen all the way through. i usually stick to the 3 episode rule.
Shit, thank you! Also, where major interests are not defined by love.
It's hard for something to stand out just from premise alone and making fun of it is just as bankrupt as what that other guy is doing.
You also lost all credibility by not likeing Nise.
Tell me about it. There are two threads that have devolved into people shitposting about it that I've been in just tonight.
>op has shit taste.
KyoAni never does pure shit. Even Munto had some merit.
>Any of the shows on the right
AmaBri will be good and the others are really entertaining.
Tamako Market is really entertaining?
That's not Tamako Market.
It's Tamako Lovy Story and we don't know how hard shit will hit the fan.
When it comes to romance there's always a loser and that's the entertaining part.
When has this ever not been the case
>Can anyone even tell me what the goal in monogatari is?
For Araragi to deliver people from their evils.
>What the main plot is about?
The evils of peoples minds.
But wait, there's more.
>only difference is that the MC has a girlfriend
And he gets technically killed, lets go ahead and say literally, killed multiple times.
>but that sure didn't stop him from kissing or fucking or molesting every single girl in the series
Well no, it wasn't. He's doing it out of libido and because he can; Shinobu also had to stop him from doing anything to Nadeko, and he hasn't done anything to Tsukihi, Kanbaru (quite the opposite actually), Kagenui, Gaen, Kisshot Acerola-Orion Hard under bread, Hanekawa and his mother, Ougi too if you want, but I doubt you know who that is.
One more thing, Monogatari stopped being a harem after Koi, so you people need to stop spouting the same bullshit, though I don't know why I'm replying.
Actually, after Oni it stopped being a harem if it ever was, but Koi is fine too.
Let's also go ahead and discredit whatever is it Araragi is feeling considering he's just another bet harem MC.
Tabbing to files first is a terrible idea, god dammit.
