Is you're waifu the same religion as you?
Waifus are not usually EUPHORIC. So on /a/ at least, I very much doubt it.
Not a religion, but I imagine so.
Probably not, but she also fights for freedom, although I only fight for software freedom ;_;
>talking about religion
Beware with the topics you touch anon.
Expect a shitstorm and fedora maymays, I think is safe to say you killed your thread already.
It was a thinly /v/eiled /pol/ thread to begin with. OP knew what he was doing.
Kind of like "Why do all anime characters look white?" threads.
There is no God. Only Gundam.
Neither of us practice, but then again nobody over here really does.
Of course, who wouldn't convert to shinto nowadays? It's 2014 for christ's sake.
Get this shitty bait thread out of here.
We've had some good religion talks on here before, mainly talking about the Bible as though it was anime and mentioning some of the crazier parts.
Also Saint Young Men
>Not being C/a/tholic
>having a robotic doll as a waifu
>Not being H/a/ruhist
I will pray for your trapped in time-loop soul.
Never stops anyone from waifu'ing Rei.
Seek psychiatric help.
Why do you like a headcrab?
I don't think mai waifu has a religion. I guess she practices Shinto and a bit of Buddhism due to osmosis though.
I'm EUPHORIC here, but doesn't not practicing a religion the same thing as not actually being religious?
Or do you just call that hippocracy?
I wonder if the Japanese even know there are other denominations of Christianity. They usually only show the Catholic church, which makes sense because it's the most organized and recognizable, but I feel like seeing a Southern Baptist in an anime would be hilarious.
Liturgical churches generally see baptism as having a real effect on the baptized, such that the unbaptized unbeliever is still in a different state than the unbaptized.
That's why the Catholic church doesn't see the "conversion" of lapsed Catholics as conversion. They were already Catholics who had come back to the Church.
Not that anon, but it's possible to believe/disbelieve something without screaming it from the rooftops.
I wish the EUPHORICS understood that.
Christianity isn't very strong in Japan. And the Catholic Church IS the most widespread, visible Christian church. It makes a lot of sense.
The last time I remember seeing Protestantism in anime was Sakamichi no Apollon.
Believing does not need the presence of religion.
It has nothing to do with "screaming it from the rooftop".
>the baptized unbeliever is still in a different state than the unbaptized
is what I meant to say.
No, she's whatever the fuck religion ancient Romans are and I'm atheist.
I'm guessing Nasu retconned all the persecution and shit into being a massive smear campaign or something?
Screw Protestantism, I need some Eastern Orthodoxy for them sweet chants.
This was more entertaining than it had any right to be.
She was still noted to be a terrible ruler in Nasuland, but she was a ruler who tried to do the right thing despite being inept and unsuited for her job. She still burned Christians, but there was also a smear campaign on her as well.
I don't know. Protestants are capable of some pretty hauntingly spiritual stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3MzZgPBL3Q
No, but I support Israel.
Only enough to remove kebab.
Yeah pretty much this. Except I don't think she was too bad of a ruler, it just wasn't really her thing.
Why do people keep answering stuff for me?
Go home Setsuna.
No, absolutely not. I'm surrounded by millions of those retards everyday already. I don't want my 2D world to get infected by Islam.
All told we're worlds apart in some ways and so alike in others.
My waifu IS my god(dess)!
Considering she's (raised) Swiss in Switzerland, so chances are she's either Roman-Catholic or Protestant, depending on which canton she hails from (name suggests French origin, so she might from Romandie) so she might be Protestant.
Wonder how being an artificial human affects things. Either way, I don't think she practices much, except maybe at dinner table back at the Vermillion household, so me being of a different denomination of Christianity shouldn't be a problem,
No, but it wouldn't be a problem.
In a manner of speaking, yes.
But our waifu has a chuunibyou. How can we be sure she wasn't bullshiting that? She might have even quoted her favorite anime directly. Atheist here, but I don't really care if she is religious. I just like to point out all angles.
Being agnostic or atheist doesn't mean you generalize religious people. I wish people understood that.
She believes in Madokami and I am not a magical girl, so no.
Ciel is so adorable, but I hate those tattoos or whatever that's on her body
I think my waifu is an atheist.
Does pretending to serve the Life Fibers count as a religion?
It's paint. She doesn't wear it all the time.
How do you communicate with her....?
Thank god, she looks so much better without it
Anderson with tits basically?
No, but I'm willing to convert. What do followers of Shinto do anyway, visit shrines and ring a bell on New Years?
Kinda but Anderson more religious than her.
I am also curious.
I feel like Shinto, since it's based in ancestor worship, wouldn't have very many demands placed upon its followers. I don't know if my ancestors are worthy of worship, though.
Nah, Anderson loved the Church, loved children, loved Jesus, and in order to face down demons he would become a monster himself to stand up to them.
Ciel doesn't really like the Church but she knows she needs to be with them since she's branded a heretic otherwise perhaps, plus they do fulfill her own ends here as long as she does her job. No real word on how she is with kids, but she's more stoic in battle while relying entirely on her healing factor like Wolverine.
Anderson was a lot more out there about shit
I mean, it's possible that our waifu believes in some sort of higher power or afterlife or some shit, but that kind of subject never got brought up in the series, and like >>102173869 I really wouldn't care if she's religious or not. I just love her, for all her qualities, and with all my heart.
I'm sure she's great with kids if Nanaya was the daddy
and Arc is the mother
Is she the Blind one?
If her crucifix means anything, then yes.
My waifu a goddess. No idea how that works out.
I don't even know what religion she'd be.
In life she expressed a distaste for superstition would lean her towards a more atheistic stance, but her very existence as a ghost proves that some supernatural things exist. But the fact that she appears to be completely unique in that she is the only supernatural being in existence doesn't really support any religion and presents problems for many.
I don't think she really gives a fuck about religion anymore by this point though.
You just place your faith in her, like any other waifu.
It's 2075, so probably.
I don't know if she kept her faith after the whole shitshow with her dad or not.
She has never shown any indications that of religious belief, so I guess she either only belongs to a religion nominally or isn't at all religious.
We were never religious.
Unless you count me worshipping her as my goddess, I guess.
My waifu isn't a fucking retard, so I'm pretty sure she's an Atheist.
>athiests are fat and wear fedoras an fap to ponies
Brainless idiots will think of anything to try and diss atheists. Stay retarded. Also nice way of bumping your thread OP.
>grasping at straws
