Hey /a/, I'm having a problem with some of my older files where (with my REDLINE for example) they open and run fine except I have no spoken audio. I can hear music, background, and maybe some spoken audio (like the announcer) but I'm completely missing all dialogue. I've done a complete reinstall of MPC, and all that goes with it, and I know that this file was perfectly fine before. Just a note - all of my files are on an external HD and I'm on a new computer, so I'm not sure if the file's become corrupted or it's something that happened with the transition to the new comp, or none of the above.
Anyone else run into this problem? Or would I be better off with /g/?

I had this problem before.

I used Google and solved it.

You're missing your center channel, probably because you're using analogue audio and your audio ground is floating.

This. Go change your audio to stereo, restart MPC-HC, and see if you have voices again. If you do, switch it back and go fix your surround sound.

Ah I was fucking around with my audio settings (I've got a 7.1 Surround Sound headset) and I just plugged them in and all seems fine. I can figure it out from here thanks guys.

Yea I got 'em a bit ago for my birthday - they're a pain to get set up correctly but especially when it comes to something with 3d sound (gaming) the difference between them and an $80 headset is astounding.
