As much as I love Araki, I can't deny that he's a poster child for wasted potential in plot points
What was your biggest disappointment in Jojo?
Mine is Hol Horse never joined the team
The injured youth with a pompadour that saved Josuke's mom and baby Josuke
>inb4 "he would later die of a cold"
I think that was more of a case of irony
Giorno losing any shred of personality a few chapters in
This, also, it further emphasized Johnny's realization that he and Gyro were "evil", while Valentine was "righteous"
>The injured youth with a pompadour that saved Josuke's mom and baby Josuke
It was clearly supposed to lead to a part where Josuke went back in time. Really bugs me that it never happened. I would have loved for part 4 to have been a few arcs longer.
Giorno's slowing down of a persons perception of reality after Gold Experience punches them was totally dropped after one fight iirc. Abbachio, Trish and Fugo were also under utilized.
How the fuck could a guy who wanted to deflect all of a country's problems onto other places be good? He was certainly more self righteous and felt that his goals were more noble but Valentine was still and asshole
We never know why and how Gyro got dem teeth
The biggest disappointment in Jojo was all of part 3.
>get told it's the best part
>hype myself up so much
>shitty yellow paper scans
>bad pacing with boring fights, stand of the week was too much
And no, D'Arby, Oingo Boingo, and Dio don't make up for all of the other letdowns.
That depends on what you mean by personality, though. After clowns like Joseph and Josuke, Giorno being a serious, ambitious and no-nonsense kid felt refreshing for me. I think some people were probably expecting another jojokester and found a fabulous Michael Corleone instead, hence the disappointment.
Is there more to that comic, or is that it?
That's bullshit, but I believe it
I would imagine that's it, since there's really no point in taking the joke any further
I interpreted it as the ultimate consequence of Gyro's sentimentalism. Had he focused on winning the race, Gyro could've easily taken care of the boy after it, but he wanted to do everything and ended losing everything, including his own life.
B-but Rin said that Saber was the best class. How is a Lancer winning?
Gappy never reached school
>get told it's the best part
>listening to people who never read the entire thing
anyone who read every part has to agree that 7 was the best
Pocoloco and his creepy stand were never important in the story.
Sandman and his role in the story.
Part 7 was still the best, but those little details kept it from absolute perfection.
More on the point, though, everything after Part 3 is better than it, regardless of how much I love that part.
>Pocoloco and his creepy stand were never important in the story
They still might somehow influence the story of JoJolion. I mean, who knows what Araki won't bring back from SBR.
What page is this based on? I'm guessing Sayaka is standing in for Polnareff, but it's been forever since I've read part 3
Jotaro landed the final blow on Kira instead of Josuke and Okuyasu.
>not an ambulance
Polnareff and Hol Horse being best Part 3 characters and having a good time before their fight.
>not the thousand hands of eternal damnation
we've already seen in 4 ghosts can still fuck with people if they decide to stick around. You don't stop being a threat until you pass completely, one way or the other
My biggest disappointment was in part 5. Giorno, not the best Jojo, Koichi, probably the most pure hearted character since Jonathan being dicked around and then the whole tissue sample/looking into Giorno's parentage subplot completely gone, Narancia, my favorite character from this arc died like a bitch but the biggest disappointment? No follow up on Fugo but rather a chapter explaining why Bruno was a zombie for half the book in another continuation on this arc's big masturbatory obsession with fate
>Koichi, probably the most pure hearted character since Jonathan
>Makes dudes he beats up / threatens into his underlings
He never forced them to do anything. Koichi is just so charming that everyone he encounters are infatuated with him.
reading part 4, I never got that vibe. It seemed like a mix of Koichi seemed more tolerable for them to be around with than Josuke and Koichi really being way too forgiving of people who tried to kill him/his family,
>big masturbatory obsession with fate
The only one with a masturbatory obsession with fate seems to be you, posting this in every JoJo thread. Get over it, that chapter was just a final word on the arc's theme. Complaining about that makes as much sense as complaining about heaven and gravity in Stone Ocean.
Part 6 having awesome, but underwhelming stands like Diver Down and Kiss. I can't even think of a major battle where Anasui used it fittingly.
Annasui using it as a body guard for everyone against Pucci was amazing.
Personally, I didn't think Pocoloco's stand needed to be brought up again, due to its simplicity; it simply guided Pocoloco down the luckiest path, allowing him to win.
As for Sandman, yeah, I was also surprised and disappointed that the first character introduced turned into a midboss. And his sister, how do I say this, the first time I saw her, I got a boner
Hold on, was the point of Rolling Stone really to explain Bruno's resurrection, because I didn't pick up on that at all
