Where can I find some work in the scanlation or subbing business? I want to actually contribute something.

I hope you're not referring to actual jobs as a professional translator.

No. Just a group online.

You want to contribute? Pick up a show that no one wants to touch, like Glass no Kamen desu ga or Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono.
>>
Apply to your favorite groups or something. Or you could just do it all yourself if you can both translate and use PS.
>>
Most groups have a recruitment page at the end of each chapter they release. If they have an open position for something you can do, you can go to their site/IRC/whatever and offer to help.
>>
Go to your favorite sub groups web site. 99% of the time they'll take any help they can get. They'll probably test you on a couple things to make sure you actually know what the fuck you're doing as a translator first, but more often then not sub groups are ALWAYS looking for more translators.
>>
Anyone have any experience, themselves?
