Is there an anime with extremely bad japanese voice acting? On the level of a terrible english dub.
i heard kaga koko's english voice today
Does it count if they're trying to speak english?
Mars of Destruction
A lot of them. Japs often say that they prefer English dubs because the voice acting is better
>currently airing 7 minute anime
>2 episodes out
Not better, they just can't tell it's fucking awful because Japanese people suck at English.
If you can't speak Japanese how would you know?
>bad japanese voice acting?
so far only killua and kurapika in the 2011 HxH remake sound like girls this breaking my disbelief suspension
Elfen Lied. In fact everything about that anime is really bad.
All of them. High pitched screeching is hardly good acting.
They get better, either that or I grew to like them by the second season.
>reminding me that Anno "lost" Evangelion's masters
1. Hourou Musuko
3. that one flash animated mahou shoujo that had AKB48 members as cast
I've heard people say the jap audio for master of martial hearts is worse than the dub, haven't seen it myself, they might just mean it's more enjoyable because the dub has a bunch of bad puns in it.
Was there a Japanese BD release for Eva? I know there's no English one, but I thought that's because of licensing gridlock. Is an Eva BD release really impossible?
You wot, m8?
No, Gainax reported that the masters were lost, therefore a BD release is impossible.
That is true, they did get better. It's actually part of the appeal of rookie VAs, there are some people who really like their "rough around the edges" voices and seeing them slowly improve.
Holy shit this is awful.
There's one this season. It's called wonder momo or something like that.
>flash animated mahou shoujo that had AKB48 members as cast
S&W and Space Dandy are they only ones I've found unwatchable subbed. Most /a/non's suck the japanese dub's dick because of the same reason >>102140440 does, but it's honestly shit.
Every fucking time somebody sneezes. God, I hate that
Yoshino's VA in Digimon Savers was horrible and basically dropped out of the VA business afterwards.
Bad Japanese VA seems to be more of a video game thing. For one I really fucking hate the nip voices for the Atelier games.
It's not necessarily because we don't know Japanese, there are plenty of people who do know Japanese and still like original Japanese voices. It's part of the charm of anime. And even the bad voice actors are still levels above the bottom of the barrel talent the American industry uses to dub. The last good dubs (that weren't done by disney) came around in the mid 90's, because the "license and release whatever we can" attitude took over and more companies started getting into the game.
Moyashimon S2 had a pathetic attempt at french.
Last time I heard something terrible.
Often. For this season Nobunagun and Mikakunin have particularly bad voice acting.
Spice and Wolf has great voice acting.
>It's part of the charm of anime. And even the bad voice actors are still levels above the bottom of the barrel talent the American industry uses to dub.
Anon, we call these weeaboos.
lol Rei sucks,
Oh wow, who's voice is this? It's painful.
>birds eating toast
Mikakunin isn't that bad, some are pretty good for newbies.
What the fuck am I reading.
Voice acting is the least awful thing there.
Do autistic children in japan have discussion about shitty english voice actors?
>that image quality
Yes, that girl from Yumekui Merry. The one that plays the invisible trumpet. Her voice acting was terrible.
Keiichi/Hoshi Souichirou is the only voice actor I remember specifically hating.
It's a screencap of an inbetween frame. Total accident at the time.
Some are, but Mashiro's VA is overly self aware and "forced", for lack of a better word. Shittiest loli voice I've heard in a long time.
I felt like you heavily compressed a jpg then saved it as a png, just to set off my autism.
Eyeshield 21 to me was awful
Is like the Jappanese version of My Life Me?
