why is it always asians that says something philosophical and cool. the good and new wise sayings.
for instance, such phrases that fuckin mind blows Nisioisin writes in monogatari is total mental banging oriental stuffs, and only such writers of orient could write this stuff.
on the other hand, only americans and other groups of shitty ethnicity writes something un-heart touching and gay with swag style of writing.
I think anglos should be ashamed of their progression in field of writing something cool.
You just have weaboo syndrome and are gushing, you'll get over it once you watch more anime. The thing about the large amount of "philosophy" and pseudo-philosophy thats so thickly present in anime is that its actually only there to give the illusion theres meaning behind everything and bolster the story writing which is many times poor in and of itself. This all stems back to a couple select anime that aired 20 something years ago whose names I will not mention as not to ignite a shit storm.
Theres nothing wrong with philosophy but many times its just the same few messages regurgitated several times each in a different way with a different application.
Look at the average American movie-goers and gamers. There's your answer: they're total fucking idiots
Why so racist? Your Asian is showing.
>why is it always asians that says something philosophical and cool.
well, considering they are one of the few cultures who unironically worship phi-
go read a newspaper, you illiterate.
this. very, very few animes actually incorporate the philosophical shit with the themes of the show. the characters just throw around some lolDEEP lines without it having anything to do with the story or the characters. and often it's obvious the writers didn't even understand the philosophical ideas they reference to, they just picked some cool sounding shit from google or whatever.
and yes, it's the same few themes repeated again and again.
Watching more anime won't change the fact that NisioIsin is a fantastic writer.
Is this pasta?
The west is way more hardcore about philosophy in general, but Japan puts philosophy and panty shots together for your viewing pleasure.
If anything, you're completely ignorant of philosophical literature. I'd suggest you make a similar thread on /lit/.
Because most of the "philosophy" in anime is bullshit spouted by overpowered chuuni characters before fights. Its like watching a shit version of a boss introduction in a Metal Gear game endlessly, only its not even slightly well thought out.
Easterners aren't any more or less philosophical than Westerners. Rather, Eastern pop culture is more comfortable with mixing all sorts of different shit together, including philosophy, and letting it flow in whatever random directions it wants to. The attitude can be described as "how will this grow?"
Conversely, Western pop culture is very much about focusing and refining a strictly defined image/style/demographic appeal (especially when it comes to the music scene). Yes, there's still just as much experimentation and blending, but there's a stronger emphasis on guiding things to magnifying the original intentions of the parent style. The attitude can be described as "how can I steer this?"
This is what gets me about most anime. Some really interesting universes, but the shittiest characters with the shittiest dialogue ever. I was watching To Aru Majutsu No Index recently. Nearly every. Single. Line. Makes it extremely tedious to watch. Fucking shonen.
but now and then, here and there is shonen, anon.
