Whatever, I'm already 17 episodes and I can't drop it...
how did you drop it /a/?
Why should you drop the AOTS?
Because it's terrible.
Never picked it up. I feel sorry for you almost.
It's a parody. And as a parody it's splendid, with just right amount of seriousness most of the time.
What the fuck is the studio responsible for this doing?
Are they rusing us because of low sales or some shit?
I'm too far to drop it as well. No matter how good the ending is, that is IF it decides to give us a payoff for all this bullshit, it won't have been worth it. I should have dropped it after King Torture.
So it's shit then? I was thinking about picking it up after all the GUILLOTINE GORILLA shit, but apparently it's terrible?
Regardless of ridiculousness, King Torture arc is actually bretty gud.
Why would you drop a show that is constantly entertaining and outdoes itself everytime in the habbening department?
The only thing SF is somewhat lacking in is animation.
The best one so far. Super sentai was mostly lame, and fighting the government was so-so, apart from the last episode which rocks.
That's why I wish I knew to stop. It was perfect.
I dropped it when they introduced the Sentais and a new evil to fight. Seems like he has a new suit now. Just curious but could someone fill me in?
>wanting to drop this
What is wrong with you? We are at Flamenco Aliens, I already can't wait to see what comes after fucking Flamenco Aliens.
Why would I drop something I'm enjoying a lot?
It just repeats that cycle.
Not dropped yet, but it has changed so much that nothing else surprise me. It was great and enjoyable from beginning to Torture, really fresh, then you got the second plot twist with From Beyond and Flamengers, and it was okay, but then the downhill came. The real enemy can be gods, or even people from alternate universes, but it won't surprise me anymore.
In fact, to drop the show, the show must first drop you.
If i want to watch super sentai, i would go watch super sentai.
I came for Boku no autistic Batman goddamn it.
I dropped it like it's hot, nigga
>It's shit because it's meant to be shit
From Beyond attacked with dozens of monsters and eventually launched a full assault with millions, but ultimately they got rekt because all the fictional heroes were actually real and they joined the fight.
Then the Prime Minister made a conspiracy againstall superheroes and imprisoned them, claiming they were behind From Beyond. Only Masayoshi managed to escape thanks to an American superhero. The PM's support rating rose steadily.
Masayoshi linked up with Gotou, got his new shit and confronted the Prime Minister, who turned out to be also a Flamenco wearing an Iron Man armor powered by popular support. He got defeated when they leaked his words about using the populace and so his support plummeted.
Then the American superhero turned out to be an alien (Flamenco), and also every world leader except the PM were actually aliens, the PM was trying to have 100% support so that he could defeat them.
The alien demanded Masayoshi to submit, he refused, so a huge UFO appeared like in Independence Day.
It's your fault then. Every person with half a brain knew that this show was going to be a super sentai from day 1. It's not like Samurai Flamenco invented genre shifts.
>but apparently it's terrible?
Yes. If you don't have anything to watch just catch up on backlog. This show isn't worth anyone's time and sales reflect that.
>implying parody equals shit
I guess the next epsiode would be in fucking space.
I'd wonder what's wrong with you wanting to watch such a bad show. Must be masochist.
Probably, since it's called Flamenco in Space
It does in this case
>Must have shit taste.
The problem is that it's not even a parody most of the time, it just plays the toku straight.
The giant robot and monsters are down right comical, and yet it takes itself so fucking seriously.
So I'd rather if it did one angle well, instead of trying to pull humor and drama out of the same ridiculous situation.
Fuck you and fuck the producers who thought this was a good idea.
dibs for fucking star wars
>it's not even a parody most of the time
It's just really subtle.
>ridiculous monster designs, particularly MIAMI BALLERINE and DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
>personality changing according to color of the costume
>unexpected out-of-place moments here and there
and so on.
In this regard SF reminds me of Elfen Lied manga, which was parody as well (and was good). They tried to make EL anime serious and you know the result.
I dropped it around ep4, then I heard all the crazy stuff happened and now I picked it up again, straight at ep17. What can I say, only "Don't fuck with this prime minister!" Man, it's awesome, just enjoy the ride.
>>ridiculous monster designs, particularly MIAMI BALLERINE and DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Except that's played straight, they don't even comment on how stupid they look.
> it takes itself so fucking seriously
Best parodies are the ones that take themselves seriously. Otherwise it usually turns into silly sitcom.
It is not exactly a parody: it is a love letter to the genre.
Comments would kill the joke. Do you like the laugh tracks after every joke? I don't.
I really wanted to drop it when the Flamengers started but I've watched 14 episodes there is no point stopping now, I'm strapped into the Flamenco ride and there is no stop.
The president went down too easy.
It the worst anime ever.
Yeah, I dropped at the same point as the other guy, and due to the threads was thinking about picking this up again. I'm glad I didn't
More like Space Sheriff.
Worse than Roots Search, worse than Musashi Gundoh, worse than Crystal Triange or Candidate for Goddess? You haven't watched a lot of anime, do you?
Oh wow someone actually go do this shit
Wow! This is awful. I wanted to drop this show ever since the first episode but I kept watching until the 12th. Fucking waste of my time, I'll trust my instincts from now on. Well, at least I was amused by the Guillotine Gorilla event.
>how did you drop it /a/?
I dropped it early, around flamenco girl's arrival
I just felt the shitshow coming
once you have seen enough anime, your instincts will always tell you when to drop something
you just have to learn how to trust them
It's fun if you don't mind it switching genres every few episodes.
It isn't what I had expected, but I find it enjoyable.
It was a pretty natural process when guillotine gorilla showed up. Shit was just too wacky for me.
The same people who dislike Samurai Flamenco are the same people who dislike Gaim (or don't even know what it is).
So much samefagging hate ITT
I honestly hope no one picked up Samurai Flamenco without already watching toku (whether it was Gaim or otherwise). But judging from the posts that are against the show, they haven't even watched this outside of hearing about Guillotine Gorilla.
I was just disappointed that it wasn't a sort of SoL about a retarded nerd trying to save the day by stapling random people who steal other people's umbrellas.
I think they could have made that arc longer, but if it stayed like that the whole time I would have dropped it.
To be fair, Guillotine Gorilla was when it switched from "awkward pretty boy model goes vigilante and fails miserably" to "wait, what the hell is going on?"
Not everyone is a fan of "what the hell is going on" and it certainly wasn't what the show was about at the start.
I dropped it halfway through the second episode, but then episode 4 just happened to be on while nothing else was airing so I watched it anyway and it had suddenly become awesome so I picked it up again
The transition definitely could have been done better, but even traditional toku goes from normal everyday life to guys in retarded monster suits within the first few episodes. The difference is only in the medium; this was an anime and hardly marketed outside the key visuals, so no one knew what to expect or when to expect it.
There's some obvious parody thrown in, but I think the show knew what it wanted to be since the beginning. Its storyboard is just rough around the edges, and it doesn't help that their animators apparently aren't very skilled (or given any motivation, considering the sales).
I thought you faggots fucked off after Guillotine Gorilla but here you are bitching and moaning 17 episodes later even though it was clear from the promo material and the OP that it would've been like this.
Its just a vocal minority. You can tell because their only discussion involves "its shit" and bringing up GG.
>I was just disappointed that it wasn't a sort of SoL about a retarded nerd trying to save the day by stapling random people who steal other people's umbrellas.
At first, so was I. But I also happen to like over-the-top toku. So a gorilla is fine, too
>and it had suddenly become awesome so I picked it up agai
no, the vocal minority is the sf fanbase itself
most people dropped it a long time ago
>dropping it at all
>implying anybody gets off Justice's Wild Ride
Hero will never give up.
Never give in
