For those of you who have read the LN, is Phantom Bullet closer to Aincrad or Fairy Dance in quality?
It's a murder detective story with Kirito as a trap saving a girl while slicing bullets with a light saber, it makes for a good comedy I guess.
ALO is at the very bottom of everything, but I would say closer to Aincrad.
>ALO is at the bottom of everything
Well I guess thats good, seeing as I found that somewhat bearable after getting used to it
I prefer the Alicization arc among the others.
above aincrad i'd say, but it depends on what kind of tone you prefer
>holding a round that isn't for her rifle in her mouth
I swear the /k/ in me is going to make me scream.
Pretty much all of this.
>getting worked up about fanart
problem with that?
SAO is cancer, fuck off
cause i have some more examples of this behavior
It's much better than Fairy Dance in terms of realizing the stakes for the major characters. It also marks the first time Kawahara uses a primary arc (as opposed to side stories) to characterize someone other than the MC, and in so doing manages to make her relationship with the MC feel more earned than most other harem members.
The wacky Jedi bullshit is somewhat inane, though, and the whole trap thing didn't do it for me either.
GGO > ALO > SAO
didn't read further
Potentially great arc that turned out to be only above-average because of Kirito being in it.
Though SAO is a decent show that turned out to be below-average because Kirito was in it, so wasted potential is a theme of the series in general.
