Hey, /a/

So, I read Hotel (http://rapidshare.com/files/98882057/_kotonoha_hotel._1-shot_._boichi_.rar) and was overcome with the feeling of my own impending mortality. So, I need something to forget about it. What non-sad anime/manga do you guys suggest?

I've already watched Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and somewhat enjoyed it. What do you suggest? And don't fucking answer with "Grave of the Fireflies", "Battle Toads" or "Bible Black". You guys need to knock that shit off. You wouldn't catch /co/mrades acting like that.

Despite its incessant trolling here, Grave of the Fireflies is actually a fairly nice comedy/slice-of-life.

OP here.

Global warming is about the destroy the world, with no hope of mankind's survival. So some bright spark decides to create a tower in the coldest place on Earth to store DNA of every animal in the world as a monument to Man's Folly. The story follows to struggles of the super intelligent computer that maintains the tower, or the "Hotel", and to keep the DNA inside, or the "Guests", safe from the 160+ Degrees temperature outside.

I have watched Elfen Lied, and enjoyed it to, but because there was a ending where the characters could somewhat recover from what they had suffered and continue with their lives, unlike, say, Neon Genesis Evangelion, where I hear it ends on a downer note.
