What the fuck. The bath scene could at least be excused as a massage, but this is clearly 100% rape. This is a mother purposely fondling her daughter's vagina.
Why is this allowed? What the fuck is it supposed to represent? If this is not jumping the shark, I don't know what is.
I'm cool with it
p a n d e r i n g
I fail to understand your problem.
junketsu means purity, both of which were taken from statsuki-sami by her witch ranbow mother
>caring about rape
>nevermind the fact that the bitch was just decapitated
Trigger has no common decency.
Because she's a bad person? What more do you want?
It made my peepee feel funny.
The trembling is what really got to me. Feels bad man.
Villains doing villainous things? WHAT THE FUCK TRIGGER!?!
Trigger knows that /a/ likes rape, blood-related incest, and yuri, so they combined the three.
I don't get what the problem is.
This just amplifies the hate she hates for her mom.
Not only is she fucking crazy evil but she molested her daughter.
Trigger confirmed for bros.
Silly OP haven't you learned?
Rape is Grape!!
And Ragyo is the evil MILF of the show, of course she's fuck her daughter.
Did it make you feel uncomfortable, or did it feel excessive and out of place? That's probably that point, especially if you also enjoyed the previous fanservice and crotch shots.
That said, I think Trigger's trying to have their cake and eat it. They'd probably claim they're doing this as a commentary on fanservice as above, but it's like Duchamp's Fountain at this point.
>Newborn baby litteraly thrown like garbage
>Slight vagina diddling
>why is this allowed
Satsuki is just an amusing bag of meat to occupying Ragyo's suit, and these scenes get the point across to the viewer just fine. That's all there is to it.
>Why is this allowed?
Why shouldn't it be? It's fiction, you fucking tumblrite.
This. Bitch is evil shes gonna do mean stuff like touch vag, also shes barely human anymore so theres that.
How about consistent characters? This shit was completely out of left field both times it happened.
To put it simply there's just no reason for it.
Hey. I don't like rape. Unless its a futa doing the raping, then its okay.
I'm offended that the bad guy in my chinese cartoon does bad things. Bad guys should only do good things.
It's showing domination through sexuality, it also serves as top tier fanservice.
why do I watch it through every time
What's inconsistent about Ragyo being creepy and rapey?
Well they should.
That's the off switch for her costume. Notice her power gone right after.
i still watch the whole thing
i dont know why
I actually get upset when people post the .gif without it.
This is like the time People got really mad that Prisoners called Catwoman a bitch in Arkham City.
exactly. ragyo is fucking nutso, crazy, freaky-deaky crazy evil. That's the point.
Well if you look at something like Bakemonogatari, Araragi is a good guy who does bad things like molest little girls.
Bad guys doing bad things just to make them look bad shows that there's really no reason to care about the plot.
>They'd probably claim they're doing this as a commentary on fanservice
No they wouldn't. I wish people would just learn to accept that fanservice is a GOOD thing and that they should stop putting words into Trigger's mouth in order to make themselves feel better about "ironically" liking. Fucking tumblrites, man. Fuck that shit.
Why does she do it? What is the reason for it?
She comes off as a person with class and yet she rubs someone's crotch in the middle of a fight? Why? It's just ridiculous.
I really can't tell if this is pandering to an audience or if it's really supposed to illustrate how fucked up their relationship is.
Satsuki showing some sort of arousal in the bath scene felt like pandering, but if it's really supposed to be all about how Raygo is the worst mom ever, Trigger could've gone about it differently. I mean, the rape/molestation sub-plot is fine, but it just shouldn't be played as 'fanservice'. The groping in the latest episode felt more like proper molestation bullshit designed to make the viewer uncomfortable, which I feel is what Trigger should've stuck with.
That just sounds like really shitty writing.
Because it makes prude Americans angry.
it's to keep normalfags like you out
No it wasn't. The first encounter we see with her is when she gropes Satsuki. The second time she rapes Satsuki. This is the third time and, yet again, she molested Satsuki.
If there's one thing consistent about her character, it's the fact that she sexually assaults Satsuki every time they meet.
She's a rich, selfish, eccentric, pervert. What is there to not understand? I mean really, what exactly were you expecting from her anyway, some classy villain that does nothing wrong except oppose Ryuko for seemingly no reason? Stop being such a little bitch, nigga.
>Shitty writing = Things that make me uncomfortable.
Damn you're smart, and totally not misguided or ignorant. Thanks for bitching about something that really matters with those educated opinions of yours.
Why are you taking this shit so seriously?
>Why is this allowed?
Because moon people don't care about SJW bullshit.
>What the fuck is it supposed to represent?
How evil Ragyo is. How fucked up their mother-daughter relationship is.
>If this is not jumping the shark, I don't know what is.
Then you don't know what is.
What is wrong with pandering, exactly? Not everything has to be super "deep" and "artistic" with idealistic and "ironic" portrayals of things that either support your world view or don't make you, somebody who isn't even a part of the target audience, uncomfortable.
Okay but again, why? Are the writers trying to make some kind of intellectual statement about child abuse? What is the point of this person acting this way?
>what exactly were you expecting
A well written character that doesn't act randomly just because she's a villain. I guess that's too much to ask from this pile of shit.
Shitty writing = Villains do bad things randomly because they're just do damn evil!
>Why is this allowed
There are still /a/nons think that anime is only targeted to kids? You're on /a/ for goodness sake.
I'm not trying to come off as smart but thanks! Your sarcastic wit leaves a lot to be desired and it doesn't even address the point I was getting at.
OP grasping at straws to discredit thing he doesn't like.
It's symbolic of her complete dominance over Satsuki. She can do whatever she wants to her and Satsuki can't do shit about it, even though she deluded herself into thinking she could.
>that saliva dripping
What is there to discredit? Is there a single redeeming thing about KLK that I'm overlooking?
Kill la Kill is a deep and inspirational anime about the struggles of women. Sure, it might look like there's fanservice, but in reality it is insidious satire and an ATTACK on creepy Japanese nerds. This scene however triggers rape flashbacks in many esteemed members of the audience, and it makes me wonder if it was really necessary. As far as I'm concerned, seeing a woman get raped, especially by a WOMAN of non-heterosexual persuasion, is really damaging to the artistic integrity and to the audience; as such I would like Trigger to remove this episode from air and make a public apology to us loyal fans, as well as make amends by editing the episode and replacing this scene with something less problematic and triggering. Ty for listening.
The trembling is how you know it was made by professionals.
Suffering is an art.
I'm sorry, I just don't find molesting your children hot. It came from seemingly out of nowhere and was more jarring than anything else. If, again, this was to illustrate how fucked up their relationship was, they could've made Satsuki look truly disturbed, stone-faced, or feign arousal to keep her true feelings under wraps. And if the latter's the case, then that's fine, because we discover just how much she despised Raygo in the next episode or so.
Fanservice and pandering is fine, but this was just a little too much, even for me. I'm not saying 'fuck this series' or going SJW mode, but it felt like a cheap attempt to titillate the audience.
>But KlK's all about that
Sure, fine, whatever. Still calling bullshit on whatever Trigger was going for.
There's nothing random about it, you mongoloid. She's clearly a pervert and a sadist that has her eyes on her own daughter. It's been like this for several episodes now, stop saying stupid shit like this, we get that you're a prissy little bitch with a stick up her ass over rape but that's no reason to sperg out over a piece of fiction that doesn't fit your tastes and ideals perfectly.
>no reason to sperg out over a piece of fiction
Listen to yourself. You do know where we are, right, nippleclamps?
>Why is this allowed?
This is a terrible meme.
Pls is there a gif of this epic scene?
shit nipple clamps are my fetish. how did you know?
You only have yourself to blame for labeling the events as "random". Get an education or read a fucking book.
Honestly anon just reread your own post. Look at all these assumptions you're making in your own mind to defend your precious shounen anime with girls in skimpy outfits. It's really quite unnecessary if you ask me. If my posts bother you, get this: you can simply ignore them.
At least its not as bad as that gaming journalist that flipped out over a blood sucking scene in Lords of Shadow 2 being "rapey"
It's not because she's just a villain, it's because she's genuinely fucked up. Her way of thinking is abnormal. Her actions are there to make you understand what a terrible person she is.
Why is this so hard to grasp?
>I [...] don't find molesting your children hot.
>this was just [...] too much [...] for me
There, your whole argument summed up in two lines. You don't need to say anything else, nobody cares. If you dislike it so much then stop watching it. In fact, stop watching anime altogether, go watch something sissy friendly like that one cartoon about fat kids that /co/ loves so much.
Even better. If fanservice in anime bothers YOU so much, get this; you can simply not watch it.
>A well written character that doesn't act randomly just because she's a villain.
She isn't acting randomly at all.
We already know that Ragyo is extremely manipulative, possessive, and obscenely vain. To her Satsuki isn't a daughter, she is a possession, and most importantly a product of her superior genes. Her repeated molestation of Satsuki is both to assert her dominance, playing with her "toy", and admiring the body that her blood helped create.
Does that help clear things up?
>Why is this so hard to grasp?
Retardation makes grasping things difficult.
>Talking shit about Duchamp's Fountain
That's the only interesting and avant-garde thing the Dada/Modernist/Postmodernist movements ever did you plebeian.
>It's not because she's just a villain
>It's because she's the embodiment of a genuinely fucked up crazy lunatic villain psychopath who has a fucked up brain and exists solely to give the other characters moral superiority by default
Yeah, this is not hard to grasp. It's garbage writing and that's all there is to it.
You saw this scene and you didn't think to yourself "well this is just some fanservice for no reason"
You were JARRED, you thought this was something pretty disturbing.
They accomplished what they were going for, making Ragyo an established creep and sticking with it, that's just her character and that's something she would do. Why are you trying to write it off if you admit it worked?
Not only that but she's barely human, and because of that she thinks she's above everyone and everything is hers for the taking.
>satsuki doesn't have an impurity bone in her body
>ragyou does whatever the fuck she wants; everything belongs to her
Thank you so much.
Look, you've already made up your mind and you're not going to listen to anybody else, so why don't you just take a break and go do something else?
Oh for fuck's sake.
Just admit you have objectively shit taste and I will leave.
That's not the fucking point.
Honestly, what the fuck are you expecting? Every character in the show falls into specific tropes. She's generic alright, but it doesn't make her bad.
It looks like you're just upset because they added sexual dominance into the show, and it's making you uncomfortable.
Why are you so offended that not everyone digs a few scenes from an anime you happen to like?
The series is fucking fine, you baby. I just personally felt Trigger fucked up an interesting sub-plot with fanservice, and even then, my complaints are more or less invalidated with the recent episode. Satsuki's been doing some cloak and dagger shit for years and has hated her mom for a long ass time. She likely could've just been pretending to be aroused and faking shit for the sake of keeping it on the down low.
Now, that might be me giving Trigger too much credit, or it could've been a blatantly obvious direction they intended for Satsuki. But initially,
I didn't think Trigger was going for that. I felt like they were just going for a cheap bit of fanservice. Yeah, they succeeded. It made me feel uncomfortable, but I was never really a fan of that kind of shit to begin with. I know people are, and this being Japan and an anime rife with T&A, I wasn't sure if they were pandering or trying to progress the plot and provide some exposition regarding their relationship.
And if you guys are confusing me with OP, I'm not the fucking OP
This was the funniest scene of the show by far
I'm more mad that I sat through a 17 episode snorefest expecting things to get better.
I have lost all faith in Trigger at this point.
Good for you.
Are you a grill?
I would have been fine with the rape if it's been established that Ragyo is a very sexual person or a predator in nature. However, those scenes are literally the only implication of that. She doesn't show deviance in other forms -- as others in the series are even more eccentric and extravagant than her. That means the rape scenes come out of nowhere, and then everybody in-show ignores them and pretends they don't exist. It's a sudden injection of serious subjet matter that isn't elaborated upon nor properly used by the show.
And that's why it's bad writing, and I don't like that they're doing it. It might become a thing later, but I doubt it.
Yeah. Hop on my barbie.
Good thing Japan doesn't care about western sjw kids.
>being this new
I am really surprised Seija hasn't become more popular of a Touhou since Ryuuko looks kind of like her.
Touhous have gotten popular for less.
>I don't like that
Well tough shit, the people who buy anime do. Go watch cartoons if you don't like it.
This, more or less. It's this really odd, serious subject matter that just rears its head. I'm fine with serious shit, but it just conflicts with the general tone of the show and feels really out of place.
Why the fuck are you niggers so defensive about this shit. I'm not calling for the anime to end or for niggers to boycott the shit. I'm criticizing the show for a really odd sub-plot to thrust into the story.
>Araragi is a good guy who does bad things like molest little girls.
It's not molestation if they're a ghost and they like it. You can't molest ghosts anon, that's just silly. You're silly.
"I have objectionably shit taste".
You need the debate practice.
They are trying to show the cruelty and inhumane element to Ragyou's personality (I mean who molests their own daughter after beating the shit out of her and choking her at the same time?).
The point is to show that she is no longer human, she is a monster. You're probably going to say "Why is she a monster? Just for the sake of being the villain?"
No. She's a monster because she's being controlled by the life fibers. Keep in mind that she wants everyone else to be controlled by the life fibers too, in order to advance humanity.
Her raping Satsuki fits in well enough with her character. The only reason you're saying it's not is because you are disturbed by the scenes, which, by the way, is what Trigger intended.
>jpeg cap of an animated gif
/v/ pls go forever.
You missed your chance.
This show is full of sexual undertones. Not to mention that the only character, besides her assistant and Nui, that she has meaningful interactions with is Satsuki. We know about the nature of her character mostly through those interractions, so its safe to say that she is a sexual person.
Satsuki crucifies her rapist mom then beheads her, resulting in a rain of blood before Ragyo reattaches her head and rips out Ryuko's beating heart
Kill la Kill confirmed for metal as fuck
The molestation in the recent episode is honestly fine. Like I've said several times. But it's this weird, serious topic that pops up and disrupts the tone of the show.
I like Raygo being a fucked-up character. I like her being rapey and cruel as shit. She's intimidating and seemingly beyond all redemption. But initially, and I can't stress this e-fucking-nough, I was thrown the fuck off because molestation in this show comes out of fucking nowhere and just conflicts with the established tone and mood.
I'm not as disgruntled as some people in this thread regarding the spin they've taken Satsuki and Raygo, but it wasn't so much jarring because of the act, but jarring because I'm watching a show about girls fighting people in skimpy outfits and then suddenly! Incestuous fingering!
Again, I'm fine with this being a thing, I just think Trigger could've executed it a lot better.
>implying women are capable of rape
No such thing as a non-male rapist, shitlord.
>why is it allowed?
Because it gives me an erection.
Look at the gif again.
She's trembling because she just got beat the fuck up, not because of the fingers
Poe's law in full effect here.
Not at all actually.
precisely. to compare it to another anime i finished a while back (fucking valvrave) this was done much better. IIRC that scene in VVV was included just for drama, while here its to exemplify Ragyo's inhuman persona. i reckon that the average audience would hate ragyo even more after this scene, which makes a good villain. Fuck Valvrave.
You're interpreting the sexual abuse in a human way, not an anime (especially a ridiculous one like KlK) way. Sexual abuse for real people is devastating, but considering this show is about alien uniforms, decapitating people with scissors, doing dangerous experiments on your children, etc. It isn't hard to grasp that sexual abuse can fit in. Ragyo isn't sexually abusing Satsuki because she is an incestuous pedophile, she's doing it because she's an evil doll controlled by aliens who sees her daughter as a toy.
>It's this really odd, serious subject matter that just rears its head. I'm fine with serious shit, but it just conflicts with the general tone of the show and feels really out of place.
>But it's this weird, serious topic that pops up and disrupts the tone of the show.
It's a literary technique that the staff loves to employ in their works. It feels odd because of the length of time you've invested in the show, but it's nothing uncommon.
The most simplest examples can be found in poems some times; a short passage where you get the feel of the atmosphere it's creating as you read it, but after reaching a certain line, it's interpretation might make you reconsider what it was you've just read.
I have no examples to give though, because I am but an un-scholarly plebeian.
>Satsuki is wearing her Kamui that is harder than steel
>somehow gives way to Ragyo's finger
You're an idiot, seriously.
Am I on Tumblr?
In which episode is this? 18?
I don't think you get it. The existence of a rape scene isn't the problem here; the problem is that Trigger is trying to have its cake and eat it too. There are two ways to handle anime molestion: jokingly, and seriously. But neither work:
1) The rape scenes are jarring and most people wouldn't take them to be the same light-hearted stuff like the rest of the show. They're clearly meant to be different, and don't work jokingly.
2)They're not acknowledged by anyone in universe and nothing is done with them. The point of drama is to establish characters and behaviors, but this added nothing to Ragyo's and Satusuki relationship and isn't used in the plot at all. This can't work as drama either
Which makes a bunch of us wonder what the fuck they were going for. The only way it can work that I can think of is fetish-pandering, like scat or futa. But KlK clearly doesn't set out do that either!
>Series finale, Ragyo is defeated and the original life fiber is destroyed
>"We did it Ryuuko, we've destroyed the life fibers and saved humanity!"
>"No, there's still one bundle left"
>Ryuuko points to her heart the last remaining bundle of life fibers are the ones attached to her body
>She sacrifices herself, destroying her body and with it the last traces of life fibers
Because her purity (JUNKETSU) was taken by her mother.
Where are these retards coming from that can't grasp basic symbolism?
>The bath scene could at least be excused as a massage
Is anyone seriously this dense or this far in denial?
> IIRC that scene in VVV was included just for drama, while here its to exemplify Ragyo's inhuman persona
If that's justification enough for KlK, then showcasing that Haruto really is a bakemono and he's not just being a whiny faggot about his new Wolverine powers is justification enough for Valvrave. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
This was the point when Gamagoori x Mako was confirmed. Mako's dad was clearly like Gamagoori when he was younger and more serious. And women go for men who are like their fathers.
Ryuuko is going to convince Satsuki that humans and life fibers can coexist. This is how the show is going to end; with people and clothing coexisting with neither dominating the other.
This. When will you fucks realise it?
Represents most extreme humiliation.
Shamefur dispray, agreed.
This eliminates Ragyo of any human, endearing qualities.
And then everyone on /a/ praised Trigger for their god-tier writing while collectively performing autofellatio and singing hymns about the redemption of the anime industry.
Ryuko has always been co-existence. She's not going to kill herself.
Most of /a/ only sees what they want to see in this show, instead of what you're intended to see and understand. It doesn't help that most of /a/ is retarded, and a lot of the people in these threads are crossboarders.
THIS IS NOT OKAY AT ALL
I think you're the crossboarder actually.
>Not knowing what jumping the shark actually is
While I do visit other boards, /a/ has been my main board since 05.
>implying Ryuuko will ever kill Senketsu
>They're not acknowledged by anyone in universe and nothing is done with them
The only people on the show who have knowledge of it are Ragyou and Satsuki. Considering Satsuki's reaction every time, she doesn't seem to mind. This is probably because it's happened before, and this is not difficult to believe since we just saw Ragyou throw her second daughter into the trash this episode.
I'm not saying you should read in between the lines and interpret some rape-backstory for Satsuki, just that you should understand that a big part of KlK is breaking taboos and pushing the limits. They're not making a commentary on the effects of childhood sexual abuse (although you could easily make an argument for that), and they're not doing it as a joke. I'll admit some of it is fanservice, since this is the type of show for that. But most of all, it's to shock you and make you think "What the fuck am I watching?". I mean, this entire fucking episode was like that.
>but this added nothing to Ragyo's and Satusuki relationship and isn't used in the plot at all.
It established that Ragyou is monstrous.
holy fuck, I can't believe this thread is still alive.
It's obvious op is just a faggot who likes to complain a show being true to it's nature. Literally everything about this show is unnecessary, but he chooses to nit pick at a single part when he can complain but any other part with just as much justification. Just let it go, people
Symptoms of a show having jumped the shark usually consist of the show doing all kinds of whacky things to try and get a reaction out of their dwindling viewerbase.
the reason VVV's scene was weak was because we had been shown what the "curse of the VVV" was, which was essentially becoming a space vampire. when haruto raped saki that was completely left field because the audience had been shown that the curse was space vamps. Why didnt he rape...the pilot of the Shield VVV (sorry forgot his name) or L-elf? That scene added nothing furthering characterization of haruto or Saki. in KlK, at leat it builds up Ragyo as a bitch that needs to go down but in all honesty, you bring up good points. like a lot of things in this show, it couldve been omitted. it just serves to make us hate her more. love the show nonetheless[/spoilers]
>Literally everything about this show is unnecessary
Frankly, I found Ryuuko's ass woop more jarring. I mean that it's expected for her to lose, since she only wins rematches, but holy fuck.
Shut up about cakes you ponce.
I fucking called that Nui is actually a pure girl who didn't do anything bad.
How does it feel knowing I was right?
>and this is not difficult to believe since we just saw Ragyou throw her second daughter into the trash this episode.
Fresh out of the oven for you, anon.
Jumping the shark only happens on long-running series. With a two cour series like Kill la Kill, the story is already planned out and completed well before the first episode airs, and the majority of the episodes are essentially finished.
Claiming that a shorter series like KlK is actually jumping the shark is just painting a big sign on yourself that says: "I'm a big idiot that has no clue what he's talking about."
She killed Isshen or whatever his name is, and is willing to kill anyone else if she thinks it would be fun.
Also, that line about leaving her past behind her when she changes her underwear doesn't exactly label her as someone pure.
>You're interpreting the sexual abuse in a human way
>not an anime way
Never change, /a/.
To put things in perspective, half the people here probably masturbated to that scene.
Now if you imagine that a quarter of those people wish they had a daughter to molest in such a way in their fantasies, and maybe a fifth of those people are female, you can clearly see that its not so absurd.
In Japanese culture, the portrayal of incest is not seen with such disgust as it is in western cultures. You've seen thousands of murders in movies and anime and don't bat an eye. You recognize them as wrong, but its not taboo to portray them. Any representation of incest in a western movie is likely to cause media buzz.
It's less so in Japan. It's comparable to murder.
Why are you not questioning her motives for beating the shit out of satsuki after molesting her?
>Kill la Kill is light-hearted
It's an anime about status quo and oppression, murder, fighting, etc. I don't think light-hearted is the word to describe it.
Light-hearted would be anime like Aria. As such, in a sort of black comedy anime like KlK, heavy issues and dark humor both fit in perfectly.
>They're not acknowledged
I don't think Satsuki would be the type of person to go around crying to everyone that mommy molested her. And her mother isn't the type of psychopath that would just run around telling people she did because she doesn't care. She does whatever the fuck she wants.
I'm not the other guy who used it in this thread. It's just a common idiom.
Despite the fact that in this episode she firmly denies Satsuki the responsibility of Dr. Matoi's death in favor of taking credit for the entire plan.
And how her being surprised in that scene is merely about how Ryuuko has a body fused with Life Fibers just like Ragyo, and presumably Nui herself.
Nope, still awful vagina filled with cosmic horrors.
Why is it that I don't want to have sex with any of the females in this series? I just can't being myself to feel those urges, which I usually have no problem experiencing. Not one of them does it for me.
No, I'm sorry anon. A weekly series that runs over the course of 6 months definitely has the potential to jump the shark. It doesn't matter if the story was planned ahead of time or not.
But that's the real world reason for sexual abuse. Exertion of dominance.
I bet you'd hold down Nui and Ragyo if given a chance.
Although I'm sure for some of you that Ragyo would have to be in giant bird form instead of gay clown form.
What, so there's no difference in the way anime portrays experiences and how they are handled in real life?
Welcome to enjoying the characters and the show, instead of enjoying PLOT and MORE PLOT.
Clothing and the way it is used/worn is generally allegory for society and social norms in Kill La Kill. For Ragyo to covet Junketsu (I think its about time I took back Junketsu) and caress, while simultaneously molest Satsuki, is a very direct reference to how clothing can largely serve to objectify women, and is part of society's tendency to objectify women.
To Ragyo, Junketsu and by extension Satsuki and Satsuki's body, is her property and she is entitled to take it, dominate it, and do with it as she pleases. The parallels between Ragyo's beatdown of Satsuki and actual physical/sexual abuse are brought so close that they are near indistinguishable, removing any doubt on what Kill La Kill is commenting on. What's most interesting is the mother/daughter relationship, which implies that the older generation is the one reinforcing the negative social norms whereas the younger generation resists it; cruel mothers sending daughters to slaughter thinking they are doing them a favor, teaching them how the world is.
Its crazy to me that not more people have caught on to this, maybe a lot is lost in translation.
>mfw 4chan's favorite chinese cartoon is the best feminist chinese cartoon to air since Utena
I feel the same way. Now all the males on the other hand...
>implying the people here are capable of getting off to two seconds of light ecchi
Maybe with a ballgag and a blindfold.
No, the problem is you are able to accept physical violence jokingly but not sexual violence because it is foreign to your culture. Why don't you take a second of neutrality to evaluate why threatening to dip Mako in boiling oil is ok but touching a vagina is so wrong. Toss your emotions aside and think rationally.
Not always. And it doesn't change my point. Even if Ragyou's reasons resemble some we see in real life, it doesn't give the scenes any more importance or relevance than all the other crazy shit happening in this anime.
>What the fuck is it supposed to represent?
Power. Abuse. Is it that hard to figure out?
Ragyo's a bad person. A really bad person.
>1) The rape scenes are jarring and most people wouldn't take them to be the same light-hearted stuff like the rest of the show. They're clearly meant to be different, and don't work jokingly.
I don't know many I lost it on that scene. Laughed so hard it started to hurt.
Not even tennis-chan?
That tickles my autism every single time, without fail.
Rape is hot. Incest is hot. Yuri is hot.
Rape + incest + yuri = triple the hotness.
What's so hard to understand?
Ragio is just so damn alfa that she doesn't care. It's like some said, it's just her showing sexual dominance, just Ragio telling she fucking owns Satsuki in every regard.
She will put her hand were she damn wants, and ohh, to bad if it hurt any pride, fellings or dignity. Anyway, Satsuki crossed the goddam fucking line and was in need for some discipline to be shown who's boss.
I'm certain a all off you would go full yaranaica with a lewd dominant woman acting this way, and you just being the silly toy-boy. It just happens that is more commonly a man-woman thing. And it's her daughter, there's that. What? Your family never asserted dominance with you? No need to go in details, who knows anyones life.
I really don't think Ragyo has any real motives besides her life fiber keikaku. Since she has no rhyme or reason to the crazy evil things she does I can only assume the molestation is there to make the viewers go wild and frankly I find it insulting when the series had enough playful fanservice to begin with.
inb4 and after a bunch of autists try to dismiss my argument by calling me a feminist.
Maybe for her, but only because she's such a minor character, and I only remember she exists because /a/ posts about her so frequently.
Ragyo is 12/10 best villain in a series for me, permanently.
Because nobody gets tossed into boiling hot oil and turned into tempura in real life very often. Molestation and rape is still pretty common, especially in fucking JAPAN.
Nobody's saying the plot should be outright excised, but that it's jarring provided the cartoony tone of the series. It's Trigger, so fanservice and crazy, hyper-stylized action go hand-in-hand (and you're generally supposed to turn your brain off when they're involved), but it's so out of left field that it left some people feeling like it was a cheap cash-in.
The sexual abuse is there because Ragyo is using it to assert power and dominance over Satsuki. She's using it as a tool, not as a way to get off. She does it because it really fucks with Satsuki's mind and will.
oh ye? here are some facts about medieval japan. first: their weaponry was the finest in the world for hundreds of years. did you know that katanas have maintained the same design they had since like the 12th century? no you didn't know that because youre a fucking moron. katanas are perfection, and they never changed the design because ITS A FACT THAT YOU CANT IMPROVE PERFECTION. second: japans economy even to this day has always been the most independently strong in the world. the west had to colonise huge areas over the entire europe continent, then africa, then america, and they still struggled even with all their land and people. meanwhile japan is a tiny island all this time and guess what? THE EMPEROR WAAS MAKING MORE MONEY THATN ANY ENGLISH KING OR QUEEN COULD EVER HOPE. not to mention that each shotgun in japan was 500% richer amd more influential then all the lords and dukes of the west combined. fucking retarded, bet your feeling EMBARASED AS FUCKN RIGHT NOW. third and final: military and economy dont mean much if youre actual society is bad, but japan ahas always had a rich artistic cultural heritage what that is mainted to this day, for example, through te to lover u eseries of animes. look at all the artworks of japan from the past, incredible and amaizng compared to shit like pickaso from the west. i hope you learned something frm this you fuckin little westaboo bitch, just accept that japan is youre superior fucking moron.
I want to marry Ragyo's voice.
Aight you got me, that's a solid 10. Well done.
If they were going for the dominant angle why not a spanking? That would have made a lot more sense.
Why doesn't she act this way towards any other characters if she's some kind of dominance freak? It just doesn't make any sense.
Anyone else getting a serious Chrono Trigger/Lavos vibe from Kill La Kill? I mean, life fibers came to Earth, facilitated human evolution, hid underground while we developed, empowered and corrupted humanity while all the while planning to overtake and feed off of them, and their human agent is a crazy mother who is willing to sacrifice her children in order to gain more power from the life fibers.
Lavos came to Earth, facilitated human evolution, hid underground while we developed, empowered and corrupted humanity all the while planning to harvest our DNA, and its human agent is a crazy mother who is willing to sacrifice her own children in order to gain more power from Lavos.
Also, there is that parallel with Janus using Lavos and its magical power in a bid to destroy it and save his sister from his mother. Compared to Satsuki using life fibers (Junketsu, Goku uniforms) in a bid to destroy the primordial life fiber and avenge her father/sister by killing her mother.
>each shotgun in japan
I know you mean Shogun, but I still can't help but glare at this line.
>Since she has no rhyme or reason to the crazy evil things she does
She is a motherfucking brainwashed alien doll monster thing, who wants the whole world to be like her (except they're all going to die, but she doesn't care). How the hell does her doing bad things have no rhyme or reason?
She trapped an entire stadium of people in alien threads, then inserted those threads into their brains, then beat the ever living shit out of her daughter, and in the past threw another one of her daughters in the fucking trash.
What the fuck is wrong with you?
Nah. If the reaction image and "shitlord" (overused) didn't tip you off, then you're retarded.
She already has almost everyone else under her thumb.
Spanking stops being an affective way to discipline people after they turn 10. Something like that wouldn't work on Satsuki, and it would just look silly.
Ragyo doesn't have to act this way towards others because of my first sentence.
It's jarring to YOU because YOU'RE not used to it.
It's called culture shock Anon.
>Murder and torture are not common
holy shit read a book nigga
Ragyo touching Satsuki has nothing to do with sexual arousement. It's a form to show how much control Ragyo has over Satsuki. It also serves as a catalyzer for Satsuki's hate towards her mother. And ultimately it's Satsuki's sacrifice for her plan to succeed at the end by not raising suspicion in Ragyo in regard of her loyality.
The only other way would be regular killings of inocent people by life fibres which Satsuki has to stay calm although she doesn't want it..
>It's called 'purity'
>she's taking Satsuki's purity
Ancient aliens is actually a really common theme in a lot of Japanese writing. Go figure.
>Why doesn't she act this way towards any other characters if she's some kind of dominance freak?
Because she has no reason to? Satsuki is the only one she would have any reason to do that to.
>She is a motherfucking brainwashed alien doll monster thing
These two don't often go hand in hand, dumbfuck.
Seeing Nui make a face that isn't a happy shit eating smile makes me smile.
That's a very elegant way to put it. If it's actually supposed to have meaning, then this is it.
It's probably because the main females feel like actual characters rather than a collection of fetishes and deliberate marketing decisions designed to appeal to the lonely horny demographic.
It's kind of sad, because I keep trying to get people to get into the show and they take one look at the sexual outfits and nope. But I keep trying to get across that Kill La Kill is the kind of anime that actually makes you feel disappointed every time you get sexiness instead of action and drama, which for all I know is what they were going for. By being so sexy but so good they have actually made you desire things other than sex.
So why don't they play up Satuki's humiliation if that's the whole point? Is this a serious element to the plot? Why does it seems so irrelevant and arbitrary then?
>assertion of power
>isolation and loneliness
These go together, and they're all more prominent than cartoony violence. If that's the only thing you can see in the show, then please just stop watching.
Certain liberties are given only to certain people, because you just don't bother or care. Do you even humanity?
I guess this kind of thing is really efficient. People are really butt-devastated and it's not with then, if y'all catch my drill.
>society's tendency to objectify women.
But that doesn't work. Kill la Kill's central message is that objectification is good, as it gives women power. Ragyo's behavior implies the opposite -- that objectification is rape and abuse.
It's her daughter.
She shares her blood.
She considers her offspring a material thing that can be used or discarded at will.
She considers her children property and lacks empathy. Why? Because she does not consider herself human. She is a being elevated above humans, fused with life fibers. A type of dehumanization resulting from elevating oneself above the species known as human. That kind of dominance. Superiority. Top of the food chain. She treats humans like one would treat pigs. Something to be herded and harvested.
Pigs in human's clothing.
It doesn't need a huge focus, but it's happened every single time Satsuki and Ragyo have interacted in one way or another, so it's been a very common theme, and we can expect that it probably happened every time they interacted for a while before we the show started.
If the scenes were really long, or any more common than they already are, it would probably come across as way to fetishy for tv considering it's a mother/daughter pairing.
The female characters in this show actually have a character and don't exist only out of moe, clumsyness and stupidity like a newborn.
The molestation all three times has been a way of challenging Satsuki and Ragyo asserting her dominance over her. It's just a way of taunting Satsuki and yes, especially in anime, this is fanservice.
Ragyo needs no reason to act a determined way. She doesn't care whether or not what she does comes out of nowhere, and as many other anons have said, that was what Trigger was looking you to feel. Whether or not you felt it was jarring is your problem; it still doesn't change the fact they got the reaction they wanted to get out of you.
>, but jarring because I'm watching a show about girls fighting people in skimpy outfits and then suddenly! Incestuous fingering!
Although honestly I don't know what were you expecting from an anime with sexual undertones that have been present since episode one.
That's to deep for most people to really get. I'm sure most have probably caught on to the idea of clothes being used for subjegation and that the show is probably pro-feminist (the 5 strongest characters in the show are female, after all), but, ya know... Action and stuff.
>Why does it seems so irrelevant and arbitrary then?
I have no idea what you mean about this. Do you want an entire episode of Satsuki getting explicitly raped and tortured? While she's lost skirmishes against Ryuuko, this was the first time she's not only lost, but was stripped. Her getting molested was just frosting on the cake. She lost a fight she thought she had, one that turned out was completely out of her league, she lost her greatest weapon, her sword was destroyed, and the only thing she could do after Ryuuko was attacked. Most importantly, she lost control. Her plans that always seemed to go down to a letter, and now everything is fucked up.
Since when is Satsuki the type of character to display her humiliation and feelings of powerlessness?
Just for the record, it is pretty evident that Satsuki has felt humiliated by her mother, but because she doesn't scream it out from the rooftops apparently it's nonexistent for you.
Seriously, just take a look at her entire character, it's really fucking obvious that she constantly feels powerless and tries to cope with it by acting the way she does.
>Attempt to maintain a standard of effort before caving and resorting to namecalling
I'm just trying to wrap my head around this seemingly nonsensical turn of events. What is efficient exactly? Are you saying Trigger was attempting to trigger its viewerbase?
You're literally a manchild if you think incest is "ewwww bad icky!!" and should still be taboo. Butt out of the sex and romantic lives of others, you Gross Nerds (◡‿◡✿)
>sexual undertones that have been present since episode one.
Because that's not undertones. Tongue-in-cheek fanservice is something to be expected in this show. Rape is not.
>Do you want an entire episode of Satsuki getting explicitly raped and tortured?
>These two don't often go hand in hand, dumbfuck.
It does in anime, but you're new, a normalfag, and/or not used to anything but violence being cartoony.
Man, psychological blind spots are a hilarious thing. Still clouded by your emotions and predispositions. Stop and actually think about what bullshit arbitrary social schema gave you the idea that violence can be cartoony and sex can't.
You spank someone if he or she did something wrong. But Satsuki didn't. That would make no sense at all. The molesting is just a way of control dominance over the victim.
Ragyou's orders, and notice how despite all her intimidating, she never killed anyone besides him, and only after he stabbed her eye.
She always seems like she would kill someone, yet never finishes off her target. She had time to kill both Ryuuko and the Deva rigade countless times.
Say all you want, it's clear from her reaction that Ragyou's plan and rotten morales surprise even her.
You have a point.
Kill La Kill's message is that there is a difference between sexualization and objectification.
They are undeniably sexualized but they are far from objectified.
None of them are afraid of their own sexuality after the third episode but none of them leverage their sexuality for power either. All of them have goals and none of those goals are overtly feminine like finding true love. There isn't even a male lead, just a male tool that is part of the protagonist herself, and a male mentor who is weaker than the protagonists. In Kill La Kill, women are the heroes, and also the villains, because women can be whatever the fuck they want. It's a good message. To not be ashamed of who you are and what you want.
The whole thematic of the show is about the dialectic between being clothed and nakedness. One of the important aspects of nakedness is vulnerability, including sexual vulnerability. If you really wanted to read into it, you could say the entire show is about overcoming sexual vulnerability. So of course it's appropriate you dumb fucks.
I'm laughing even harder at your total lack of an intelligent response to the anon's post.
>None of them are afraid of their own sexuality after the third episode but none of them leverage their sexuality for power either.
That's dumb and unrealistic.
And it hurts my fucking head when these things need to be explained to you and you still don't get it. You deserve it.
"Do you guy already heard in less refined circles someone was beaten so good that s/he was raped but not quite literally? That is pretty much it. And Satsuki was so owned, that the butthurt is leaking to the 3D dimmension.
The rustling has no bounds.
Stay mad, Satsuki fags, The Ragiou train has only begun to move...And it's not stopping"
Someone please make Toberone or Rog say this.
I thought it was a good touch that every time it looked like Aikuro or Tsumugu might do something to help or interfere, they always either ended up not having to help or their help ended up being rather unhelpful. Kill La Kill has women who fight for themselves, who fight for each other, who fight with each other, and who grow individually and also together. Both the protagonists and the supporting cast are predominantly women, and they act like actual people (albeit, strange people in a strange world) rather than goals for other characters to obtain or protect or as foils for other characters. I can't possibly see how any of them could be objectified even with all the rampant sexualization of their attire. Themes of shame and sexuality, leveraging them versus accepting them, it's all quite powerful when taken in full.
>none of them leverage their sexuality for power either.
Bullshit. The whole point of Kamui is that you sacrifice modesty for power. They are basically powered by women's sexuality.
This raises the question of exactly is the difference between Ragyo and Satsuki/Matoi? They all use kamui and life fibers in the same way. It's kinda hypocritical too, as Satuski hates life fibers. Maybe that's the point?
No, it really doesn't. Keep spouting your ignorance if you really want though, I won't stop you.
I'm not sure what you want me to address. Ragyo is a big old meanie for the sake of the plot. That has already been established. But I'm glad you laughed I guess.
You don't have to explain anything; yet, something compelled you to respond to this drooling ape on the other end of your computer screen. Why?
Holy cows, sorry for the errors. Writing from a cellphone really takes it's toll. famentom muscular
Remember how Senketsu was drinking too much blood until Ryuuko stopped being ashamed of him? That's the point. Wearing a kamui is not trading modesty for power, it is accepting your body for what it is and knowing that it is still just as important as what you cover it with.
Ryuuko and Satsuki don't shove their exposed cleavage and mons in peoples faces and ask them to solve their problems for them
>What the fuck is it supposed to represent?
That her daughter is/was nothing but an object/tool to her.
Also fuck off, rape is fine.
>She's generic alright, but it doesn't make her bad.
Yes, it does. The primary standard for any work of fiction is that it bucks conventions and does something new. Ragyo is one of the shittiest villains I've seen, and if it wasn't for Blumenkranz and her vagina nobody would disagree with me.
Ragyo is using life fibers to destroy humanity.
Satsuki is using life fibers to protect humanity and destroy life fibers.
Ryuuko is using life fibers to protect humanity and coexist with life fibers.
Ryuuko is friends with Senketsu, and nothing has indicated Satsuki wants to do anything other than destroy all life fibers (even if she must use them to do it). Your post is wrong, you are wrong, why are you so fucking wrong.
>Ryuuko and Satsuki don't shove their exposed cleavage and mons in peoples faces and ask them to solve their problems for them
Of course they wouldn't, since power from sexuality in KlK is metaphorical. Combat power represents social power. That's why somebody as powerful as Ragyo is also so physically strong.
Like I said in my previous post, the scene served as both fanservice and as a way to shock the audience, and both things were covered in the episode.
Chobits reference in my KLK?
Trigger confirmed for bros.
>Ryuuko is using life fibers to protect humanity and coexist with life fibers.
>Ryuuko is friends with Senketsu...
>coexist with life fibers
>and nothing has indicated Satsuki wants to do anything other than destroy all life fibers (even if she must use them to do it)
>Satsuki is using life fibers to protect humanity and destroy life fibers.
>B-but you are wrong!
Do you even read what you type you dumb motherfucker?
Have you even been paying attention to what's going on?
And so there was one time, little fiberlings.
Once there was a girl.
She was kind off a princess
one of a kind
though not kind at all
Satsuki was her name
She had a castle on her mind.
Thought it was safe off anything
To forever high and might
Little did she know
little mattered were it was
If you just type in the letters K I L in google
Kill La Kill comes up
Sorry, I'm on a ton of ambien and got the two mixed up in the post I was responding to. I was wrong.
Because when social justice warriors get buttflustered over cultural things they don't stop to try to understand, they look even more foolish than the "injustices" they need to speak out against.
Morality and especially disgust is almost entirely an emotional--not a rational--thing. From a logical standpoint if you are to be outraged by "pointless" incest you should be outraged by "pointless" violence. But you aren't. Which makes you look like a hypocrite operating on kneejerk sociocultural derived emotional response rather than legitimate rational disagreement.
That is to say you're a fucking sheep with a sheltered view of the world.
They're Studio TRIGGER for a reason.
>"ewwww bad icky!!"
No... it's so wrong that every sensible country in the world has forbidden it by law.
Yeah, that that blonde with big tits, aways forget her name. Tennis-chan, huh. amelia rooefe
>social justice warriors
And here we are again, with some diabolically idiotic motherfucker, some heinously foolish knuckledragging simpleton making assumptions about a faceless anon to give his argument more weight. This isn't a cultural thing at all, that is what you'd call a strawman. The writing in this show is just plain bad and Trigger is literally throwing vaginas in the viewer's face for attention.
Take note how this show started out with some incredibly vague dystopian themes and just dumped them completely for an instrumentality copout plot with a Freiza reskin as the main villain. But no, we should ignore that and focus on a feminist witch hunt while blowing our loads over a studio that's long since passed its glory days.
In the 80s and 90s in Japan there was an outbreak of mother son incest culture.
This show has female protagonists and is an extension of that.
Amen. I have no idea why this shit hasn't been driven out of /a/.
Not sure if spelling error or mad genius
SJW will disagree with you.
It's okay anon-kun I still love you.
>feel like Ryuuko, Satsuki, Mako, etc. are actual characters
>just want to fuck Mikusugi, Gamagoori, and all the other males
KlK is a strange anime.
>This isn't a cultural thing at all, that is what you'd call a strawman.
Holy shit just stop posting
>Trigger is literally throwing sword fights in the viewer's face for attention
It is a cultural thing. You are fucking blinded by it. Fuck off and stop watching anime.
I'm not trying to justify it
If we suppose it's not just played for titillation it probably is I think it's probably to emphasize how Ragyo is nothing like a human being and how she has always saw Satsuki as a mere object
Again you dance around his post with useless fluff not addressing anything and showing some mental disabilities.
Like all your "arguments".
Anon is complaining about the writing resorting to edgy incest rape to make up for shitty characterization. Morality has nothing to do with it.
You must be butt frustrated your thread failed, no one talks about your shitty favourite anime and you'll have to deal with a KLK board till Thursday. Maybe you should try tumblr.
It does, and that fact is highlighted by how you just described it as "edgy"
We would not be having this conversation if the heinous act committed was non-sexual.
You find the injection of sexuality taboo, disgusting, degrading, unnecessary, and/or "edgy".
We are not arguing about her blatant unsympathetic disposal of babies. We are arguing about incest.
Now fuck off babbies, you're out of your league
Because it's entertaining.
There's no other reason than that, seriously.
Same thing happened with SnK and now everyone's silent about it. Not everyone is looking for deep meanings and interpretations, anon.
We're talking about incest rape. If anything is intended to shock, surely it's that. If there was a romantic relationship between Ragyo and Satsuki, that would be very different.
Fair, but that doesn't change the fact that Ragyo is an Aizen-tier shitty villain.
Isn't the immensly popular Game of Thrones filled with stuff like this? I wonder if that caused as much of a stir, it's not like this type of conent is special to anime, though there is a lot of it.
YES ANON THATS IT KEEP TALKING IM GOING TO CUM
Sure thing. Now, the day the kyriarchy was questioned, you should have seen their eyes...
What's that? You've heard this a thousand times before?
Good. That way you won't forget it.
So many people died that day, but that wasn't the important part. Their eyes... they had no fear in them.
They just killed each other and forgot everything else. It was like nothing else mattered.
If you would have seen their eyes though... like nothing else mattered.
You motherfucker. I laughed so hard.
Hakodate makes me hard.
u wot m8
Only because google is using your information to pander to you. Someone who has never watched anime in their life would have different results.
Your rage amuses me
I just tried it in private mode and it did the same thing.
Gama feels like an actual character. Even more with his background.
I want to fuck him nonetheless.
>This is a mother purposely fondling her daughter's vagina.
So you are upset because your mother will never fondle your fucking vagina you fucking faggot?
>implying private mode doesn't just delete history after session
Fuck you people are dumb.
Satsuki isn't even technically a child at this point
The Cheetus is Ryuuko
I'm working on a "nui did it all" gif, what other disasters should I add?
Here it is so far.
I didn't see JFK or MLK.
Adding now, will repost the gif once I get a few more things in.
Also, timing. Is it good or should it be faster/slower?
Maybe a bit slower, it's kinda hard to identify what the hell is going on.
>The bath scene could at least be excused as a massage
This fuckin nigga
no it can't
That crab being sliced up by the scissors
Cockmongler or 4chan's front page
Prohibition with alcohol being poured into the sewers
Might want to slow it down a bit too.
>feeding satsuki to ragyo
Ok this is where I draw the line and I'm sure I can say: THIS IS BULLSHIT.
Fucking Ryuko has been one of the worst MC in all the series specially now with "muh seketsu" bullshit, Satsuki is a way more interesting character to work with and they fucking make her Ragyo's jobber when they could've turned Ryuko into Ragyo's personal pet and make her the new final boss or something that would be far better than the bullshit we had.
Why do I hear this in that wrestler guys voice?
This. The big idea of the series is that she'll make her own way, separate from Ragyo's cult-fetish of the fibers and NB and Satsuki's absolute hatred of them.
Titanic already on there, added the others.
Also slowed it a tad and made it smaller because the file was getting big.
Why did she not even attempt to control Satsuki or the Four Kings?
Their mind is too strong for that.
That JR pic. Thank you anon.
Junketsu is a living being much like senketsu, perhaps that spot happens to be where it is most sensitive as well.
This thread is hilarious. SRS getting called on their bullshit, so they keep erecting straw men while simultaneously moving the goalposts. The ride never ends. Based Trigger. If the SJW community is mad at you, you are doing God's work.
>erecting [...] men
Put a Trigger warning on that one, anon.
>not liking mom/daughter incest rape
/a/ has been infested with faggots lately
All the skin showing is sexualization overload, so I had to start ignoring all sexualization in order to pay attention to the rest of the show. So that's why the show and its characters wound up in a very nonsexual light, to me.
8 bit version
Daiz please stop.
Heavily pixellated is not 8-bit
SHE HAD A BABY FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF EXPERIMENTATION.
WHEN IT DID NOT DELIVER SHE FUCKING BINNED IT.
SHE IS A FUCKING PSYCHO WHO GIVES ZERO SHITS ABOUT HER CHILDREN.
AWW NO INAPPROPRIATE TOUCHING, WHAT A FUCKING HEEL TURN.
What, this happened?
>Senketsu dozing off and following Ryuuko's eye movements
"Hey guys can you believe that [bad things] that the antagonist of this story does? I wonder what the point of [bad thing] is at all!
It would be hilarious as fuck if Mako ends up being gay for Ryuko, though.
Hypothetically speaking,of course.
>Hop on my barbie q.
Who invited SRS?
KLK is the epitome of entry level. You are no better than Titan fags, and should feel awful for watching it. Keep this shit to 1 thread.
>tfw your mom is a rainbow clown and rapes you ceaselessly
Did you even read the translation of the new ED?
Did someone say rape?
I'm going to check it out.
Use Underwater, they sub the OP and ED so you can read it together with the music.
Entertaining read, as far as 4chan threads go.
Thanks, that's the one I was looking for.
Ok,I saw it and now I'm even more worried about those two.Trigger are heartless.
Can't wait for the full version.
The one absolutelt spot-on comment in the thread and it's ignored.
Stay pleb, /a/.
just for the record, GoT is actually good besides being popular. Everyone should give it a try.
It's not nearly good enough to deserve its popularity, though.
did you know why mother rape daughter case is low? because the victim is too embarassed to admit and no penetration occur
She can abuse me anytime.
Actually the only thing GRRM seems to avoid like a plague when creating a world otherwise filled with death, betrayal, incest and genital mutiliation is rape (which would be the most expected thing in a medieval-like setting).
She's cute enough, I wish she abused me when I was a kid. I would have bragged about it with my friends.
Hardly anything is.
The books have a lot of rape. When the crowd rebels in the second book they capture a retard underage girl no noble wanted to marry with and then the crowd rapes her and gets her pregnant.
Yes, but all the rape happens offscreen and despite several major characters being vulnerable young women they all miraculously escape at the last second whenever they're about to get raped.
You're obviously not a lesbian
Why people is so fucking sensitive about rape?
I mean fucking Ragyo was decapitated, Satsuki ended half-dead, there was mind control and Ryuko's heart was took off her body but a simple Vagina touch makes everybody argue like retards?
it's pandering to perverted virgin otaku like everything else about this show?
And you think Ragyo did nothing to her back when she was a child after her dad died?
>who molests their own daughter after beating the shit out of her and choking her at the same time?).
AFTER HER OWN DAUGHTER BETRAYS AND STABS HER IN THE BACK(LITERALLY).
WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE SATSUKI DIDNT DESERVE IT?
Two wrongs don't make a right, and neither do three.
what was the point of school trip arc in the grand scheme of things? seems like waste of episodes just for the hacker diva to find out weapons to unbind people from life fibers
Satsuki needed to do it to appease her mother.
>If this is not jumping the shark, I don't know what is
I don't think you know what that phrase means
This thread has given me a boner even though i don't watch this shitty show, now i can't go to the kitchen to get breakfast.
The Super Mario movie wasn't that bad.
I found it funny in a stupid way, but I still put it in the gif because of it's overall reception.
It's called "humiliation" OP, you do this to a person to make her feel bad.
>b-but raping your daughter means you are the evilest !
Why not just throw her to a bunch of niggers so they can rape her ? That would be really evil.
It's like you faggots haven't ever read mother ntr.
How does it feel to know that OP really isn't a troll, and that these are the kind of people who seriously populate /a/?
gr8 pun m8
It's suppossed to represent just how removed from family affection these two are, and how Ragyo only ever considered satsuki as a tool for her.
The fact that junketsu is her "wedding dress" i.e. the thing that will merge her family and covers, shows it moreso.
We are to give zero sympathy to ragyo
>omg le DEGENERACY!!
I was laughing at >>102123992
when I moused over this. My smile dried up like a drop of water in the Sahara.
it was a chakra attack related shit, get over your autism
Are these people trolls or just newfags? I cant tell anymore, since screaming newfags are actually a thing now, and not just a meme.
Remember Shinji jerking off on his crush? Little fucking out there too, wouldnt you say?
Welcome to anime, enjoy your stay fggts.
What was Ragyo supposed to do? She was on the bigscreen, being watched by thousands, and you're telling me she shouldn't have disciplined her own daughter right then and there? I think a little fingering is a suitable punishment for impalement. Jesus.
Especially he female Starks have a painfully obvious vagina plot armor.
And everytime I see it to the end
Me either, I only want to fuck all the guys.
Also no homo, they're just all super sexy so it can't be helped.
It seems like this is what (or one of the things) Ragyou planned with the massage in the bath. Pleasure from that region of the body is new to Satsuki and Ragyou used that to her advantage, causing a lapse in Satsuki's control over Junketsu. I think that surging beam we saw envelop Satsuki right after was either Junketsu taking over or a strong surge of its power sweeping through her body.
Ofc it also serves as service. I find it particularly delicious and acceptable because it seems to work with what's going on in the show. It's also sensual as fuck.
This show seems to be playing all the fields and quite well imo. It's like doubletalk with a forked tongue; a paradox (or it is what you make it). [Trigger's] Having cake and eating it too, just like some anon(s) have said.
>365 replies 65 images
why would you browse a thread about a thread you don't watch
Ragyou took Satsuki's Junketsu.
Translator's Note: "junketsu" means "purity"
Maybe you should get a better understanding of what pandering means instead of picking it up from what you heard on /v/.
This. Don't worry anon, I read it too.
That's a nice interpretation. There are quite a few angles too observe this show from.
>Its crazy to me that not more people have caught on to this, maybe a lot is lost in translation.
Pretty sure a lot of people are just watching it for entertainment and can only try to seriously observe it with their plastic monocles if it's executed in a serious manner.
I don't know about Ragyou, but the whole damn show is a 12/10 for me.
God dammit, anon.
>dat mario movie
My body has never been more ready
But is it ready for this?
how can people not agree that sanageyama and gamagoori are the best devas
Because some people have shit taste, obviously.
Anyone worth a shit can agree on that. Nononfags are literally just as bad as nuifags if not worse and inumata is almost a nonfactor. he just got 1 shot after like a minute of fighting ryuko and did absolute nothing during episode 18
>I would be fine with it if they had shown scenes establishing that she was a sexual predator before the scenes that were used to establish that she was a sexual predator
Jesus Fucking Christ, when will the stupidity end?
Shhhh, it's just a troll, anon. No one can actually be that stupid. N-no one at all.
I have weird feelings about inu. I actually really like his normal design, but his character is pretty boring and his combat stuff is just... retarded. Looks retarded, and he's useless with it. I do hope that he eventually mans the fuck up and manages to make himself useful in a fight, but in the meantime I'll take more gamagoori/sanageyama.
Did Junketsu get a big increase in "reacting to things" this episode or has that been there all along and I just wasn't paying enough attention?
I think it's just that they're actually animating things now.
gama and sanageyama are clearly best but inumuta has that dickhead charm that is enforced by his backstory.
also nonon got that smug
Junketsu was crying in episode 16.
>Nui downgraded to Sub-boss for the Deva's & Mako
>Next episode is probably mostly Deva, Mako & Nudist beach development
>Implying track 9 wont play when we finally get a battle in space against the life fiber Symbiotes final form as a Homage to TTGL.
Might be simple Power level stuff or it might be something worthwhile speaking of details shouldn't Ragyo be Syncing with Junketsu instead of Overiding?
Idea: Mind-control and mindbreak mind stitching doujin.
Also I don't like the whole "We sisters now" plot twist because it came out of fucking left field within the span of half an episode but for whatever follows next it would make sense since Ryuko has such a high affinity for Senketsu.
That's because Junketsu isn't hers. She's pulling a Maiko and forcing him to go along with her.
but Junketsu's is Satsuki's and she overides it, if that was the case Satsuki would be syncing with Junketsu not overiding.
Well she did it in the bath why can't she do it now.
Satsuki wasn't complaining in the bath when her Mom felt her up.
What, you think Satsuki would automatically sync with Junketsu? That's not how it works. She doesn't trust him and overrides him to inhibit his true eight eyed potential.
This. Besides, bitch has rainbow hair, she's quaranteed to be flaming homo.
You know what I thought was interesting about her transformation? She didn't do the hair binding thing.
Though maybe they just didn't care to animate new stuff for it.
>came out of fucking left field
>people have been theorizing this for ages
and here you are that by the same Vein Ragyo is just as mistrusting as Satsuki, she is neither here nor there in either of your posts.
Maybe it doesn't work when your Kamui transforms?
In a related note, what's with Japan and feminists? Is that a thing there?
Why would you bring that into this conversation? That is literally /v/ tier subjects. Fuck off.
It did come out of left field. No hints of subtly were given out at all till episode 18.
Well excuse me for being a concerned man. Fuck you very much.
no it is not Japan is ridiculously conservative which may be the cause of at least a few of their problems but thats besides the point.
Or, she knows that Junketsu would run back to Satsuki if given the chance.
do you like my gif guise?
don't fuck with this senator!
Protip: Rape is defined by the CDC as "forced penetration". This isn't rape.
This is also the reason why if a woman forces a man to have sex with her, it's not rape, unless the woman enters one of the mans orifices.
there is no evidence of that given that we never hear anything from Junketsu, though Given that Ragyo is Overiding instead of syncing that's possible.
Needs more "Nice knife"
>This isn't rape.
Correct. This would be classified as "abusive sexual contact".
>This is also the reason why if a woman forces a man to have sex with her, it's not rape, unless the woman enters one of the mans orifices.
But that's wrong, you fucking faggot.
Sexual Violence: Definitions
Sexual violence (SV) is any sexual act that is perpetrated against someone's will. SV encompasses a range of offenses, including a completed nonconsensual sex act (i.e., rape), an attempted nonconsensual sex act, abusive sexual contact (i.e., unwanted touching), and non-contact sexual abuse (e.g., threatened sexual violence, exhibitionism, verbal sexual harassment). These four types are defined in more detail below. All types involve victims who do not consent, or who are unable to consent or refuse to allow the act.
A completed sex act is defined as contact between the penis and the vulva or the penis and the anus involving penetration, however slight; contact between the mouth and penis, vulva, or anus; or penetration of the anal or genital opening of another person by a hand, finger, or other object.
An attempted (but not completed) sex act
Abusive sexual contact is defined as intentional touching, either directly or through the clothing, of the genitalia, anus, groin, breast, inner thigh, or buttocks of any person without his or her consent, or of a person who is unable to consent or refuse.
Non-contact sexual abuse does not include physical contact of a sexual nature between the perpetrator and the victim. It includes acts such as voyeurism; intentional exposure of an individual to exhibitionism; unwanted exposure to pornography; verbal or behavioral sexual harassment; threats of sexual violence to accomplish some other end; or taking nude photographs of a sexual nature of another person without his or her consent or knowledge, or of a person who is unable to consent or refuse.
But she's forcing the man to penetrate her. That's forcible penetration.
>I would have been fine with the rape if it's been established that Ragyo is a very sexual person or a predator in nature. However, those scenes are literally the only implication of that.
It's not about sexuality, it's about dominance. She's expressing her dominance like when a female dog humps another female dog -- it's not for any sexual pleasure.
It's not out of left field. It's in her character that she's a god damn child molester.
>dat Ryuko suit
>Japan is ridiculously conservative
That is an edit, filthy gaijin.
It's already been said in this and other threads but I'll just spell it out again.
More than a characterization of Ragyo, who has long lost any trace of human or motherly nature, the touching is there for the viewer to empathize with Satsuki.
If your reaction is one of disgust and you feel repulsed, and you wish what you saw wasn't there is the first place, then TRIGGER achieved their goal.
If you are a logical person and you can understand the narrative importance of such actions, you can overcome your first impression on your own.
If you are aroused it's fine too.
Trigger is giving you the entire package, whatever you do with it is fine. Just enjoy it.
That is how you take a kamui off of someone else
I thought that this whole molestation thing really is about how Ragyo views even her own children as just objects like dolls or test animals. She didnt even blink after she threw away that baby. To her Satsuki isnt even human just a tool or a doll. Obviosly if Ryugo was a normal healthy human being she wouldnt play around with her daughter like that just to please her own sadistic desires.
You'll need more than just pictures to justify your ignorance.
>being upset by anime
Yes! YES! Get out of my hobby, tumblr femo-whales!
I think the issue is that you were implying that that is a bad thing
Fucking vince mcmahon gets me everytime
Where were all the upset people when Chobits came out and had vagina on/off switches?
Oh right, they were just a tickle in their dad's sack.
Not that poster, I was supporting the fact that Japan IS conservative, because it fucking is.
Well if you aren't that poster please continue shutting the fuck up
OH BOY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT BEST MOM IN HERE?
ragyo looks like a mix of qubeley and Hamon
Nonon is the only exception for me. Unfortunately no doujin will ever have her voice.
I'm not saying that being Conservative is a bad thing, what I'm saying is that Japan is Conservative to the point where it is beginning to affect their society detrimentally and Issue's that need to be discussed are not being discussed.
I'm not saying they should go full summer of love here but I do believe that Japan may benefit from being from having a larger portion of their society that is Libreal in it's outlook simply so stuff that can & should be addressed is addressed.
He's criticising a scene of a sexual nature, he must be a faggot!
What Japan needs is for the USA to leave (taking the Juden with them) and for all the WW2 sanctions to cease
People were mad as fuck, where were you?
At least until people settled for anal sex anyway.
kill la kill is all about obeying tropes, it was pretty telegraphed.
They can't be trusted though. They'd invade Korea and nuke the whales.
Every people of every nation deserves to rule themselves
It's about as paint by numbers as you can get, that's not a bad thing but every plot twist is classic and over done.
The first bad guy turning out to be a noble bad guy kinda sucked though, I would have liked it if she stayed a complete cunt and just refused to bow to the life fibers out of disdain.
Japans practically a utopia compared to 'murica though.
I'm insulting you for your use of the term
Why the fuck is this so fucking long?!
Jesus fucking christ!
Oh anon-kun, you're such an idealist.
>implying "tropes" isn't the correct, professional term used to describe conventions and devices found within creative works
KLK is crossing lines that not even Evangelion dared to cross.
Yep, I'm saying it: KLK is the Evangelion of this generation.
>Why is it allowed?
The question isn't who's going to allow it, but who's going to stop her?
1453 worst day of my life
>Super Mario Bros film
I liked that film
Stop being a bitch and enjoy it
There was no vaginal penetration.
>Ragyou took Satsuki's Junketsu.
>Translator's Note: "junketsu" means "purity"
And Senketsu took Ryuuko's virginity.
Is there no purity left in the KLK sisters?
Of course not.
After all look at who their mother is.
>this is clearly 100% rape
No, it's merely sexual abuse, learn the difference.
Literally no one is turned on by that.
You honestly haven't the vaguest idea about the subject you're speaking on.
Go throw your hissy fit about how an anime character was molested by her mother on tumblr and write paragraphs about how rape culture is a thing.
>sitting on your fat ass and watching shit on a screen for hours
Nice try OP, but a woman can't rape so a real SJW would not get pissed of about it like you did.
2/10, learn your material.

KLK was the first anime I ever watched via internet and it was one of the top results after entering K I L into google
What's exactly generic about a woman forfeiting her humanity in exchange for a ridiculous amount of power, amplifying all of her worst characteristics bringing her on par to that of a monster with complete disregard to human life, even that of her own daughters, one which she attempted to kill due to being of no use to her, and the other she groomed and sexually abused in order to manipulate her into continuing her sick legacy greed and ambition. Both of whom are now set out against her. My favorite part of all this is that her own creations which were meant to be extensions of herself ended up turning against her.
Where has this been done before so many times that it has now earned itself the title of 'generic". Please, point me in the direction of the countless supposed animes that have this "generic" villian.
>each shotgun in Japan
>sitting in a chair reading shit in a book for hours
I'd agree Gamagoori is best Deva. But they're all damn good.
I can still hear the scream when she does that blast of fire.
the first bad guy staying a bad guy through out the entirety of the series would be accused of being a "trope" too.
Everything outside of writing something with absolutely 0 consistency, logic, or reason has (and will be if not already) been labeled a trope. Even being completely inconsistent and illogical has been labeled as a trope.
It doesn't matter how many other people have done a plot twist with the main villian in the past. What matters most is the DELIVERY.
Delivery of the story holds precedence over any witch hunt you go on for spotting supposed "tropes".
If a tropefag saw a character shove a basketball up their ass, they'd google "Trope: Basketball up Anus" and if there's no results, they'd be the first to write it down as a trope and then accuse the act as being generic and played out.
>I wish I was that hand
Goddamnit why is the second half so fucking short.
Why do people come to /a/ to whine about sexual abuse? Even if those scenes were just for fanservice rather than to show that Ragyo is a psychopath, why do people care? Do some people actually browse here thinking that all the sick images, jokes and fantasies are a joke, and incest vagina fondling in KLK is somehow unforgivable?
Fucking ridiculous, get out of /a/
saved and archived
I don't think you understand how many people would disagree with you.
>"We did it Ryuuko, we've destroyed the life fibers and saved humanity!"
>"No, there's still one bundle left"
Moot would do it again, wouldn't he?
>"I can't cut myself, Mako. You'll have to do it."
>And Senketsu took Ryuuko's virginity.
Why is she such a slut?
I only see you.
That generally seems to be the source of your problem.
No, it is only you who is responding to me.
That wasn't the point I was making.
Theres nothing wrong with rape anyways. Despite what the SJW on tumblr say rape is ok. If you hate rape go back to tumblr you faggot.
hold me back, because this is about to become a faptastrophy.
Gendo needs to do this to Shinji.
And then gendo and this bitch need to have a kid.
I don't care about your point, my point is that anime and books can't be qualified as hobbies.
Defending rape and you wonder why feminists have ruined everything. idiots like you who think rape is good.
He's baiting out the tumblrfags.
Why are you here? What brought you all the way from tumblr to /a/ to discuss Kill La Kill?
Did you really think we were going to entertain your rape culture circlejerk?
My thoughts exactly.
Put me into context. Why are tumblrfags associated with feminism again?
A god amongst men you are, sir.
Ragyo is a female bueno excelente. She fights with the power of perversion. During the final fight she'll likely fingerblast Ryuuko and Satsuki and force them to kiss each other.
Feminists often use tumblr as a podium for their agenda. Feminists when making an argument will often cite and link back to blogs left by other feminists on tumblr.
It's essentially their safe haven.
/co/ is a good boy. Don't bring him into this.
There's nothing wrong with anything happening in fiction. Be it baby rape, or even a reverse-futa Hitler getting fucked by a futanari Anne Frank. Fuck off.
I'd 10/10 watch that anyday
>It's a sudden injection of serious subjet matter that isn't elaborated upon nor properly used by the show.
Sexual abuse is only worse than physical abuse, in America and the middle east. More or less.
Ask yourself this. Why should anyone make any notable reaction to the molestation, when people are dying and aliens are threatening to take over the world?
Because people dieing is a part of life. In fact everything that lives dies. Rape and mulistation is less so but is still something that can happen. So dying in a spectacular and cool way is less offensive.
Alien invasions are so far removed from our reality we don't care.
