Not sure if this belongs in /a/, but I had just set up PS3 Media Server from my 1.2ghz netbook so I could try to stream anime to it over the network and it lags a bunch, Could it be the mkv's fucking up the decode or should I just crop all of my HD anime down to SD sizes so my Netbook can actually decode it properly?
my small collection because my Desktop is on it's way.
Could be internet speed.
(If it were just a file server then it'd just be the local speed of your network.) A 1.2ghz netbook is too slow to encode shit. Too slow to decode shit as well.
Why don't you have at least a cheap old Core2Duo 2.0ghz to plug to a TV via HDMI?
