This just got real. Any Katanagatari fans around? This show felt strange at first, and then this episode (7) caught me completely off guard. I still don't quite understand Yasuri Nanami's motivation here.. She's so powerful that she needs to become weaker to continue living? Help me with my idiocy.
Also, how the fuck does this guy have his left arm again?
the last epi will blow you off your fucking chair
His power is stealing body parts.
Oh, thats a huge spoiler.
She wants her brother to kill her.
OP get the fuck out of here before spoilers start flying
OP, run while you still can
you don't want the rest of this series spoiled for you because it ruins the wild ride
gtfo while you can, in 2 minutes imma spoil the ever living fuck out of you
>not dropping it at sabi vs shichika
Yeah, I get that. But what's the full story behind her physiological situation. She's incredibly powerful, but is somehow always on the brink of death?
I actually enjoyed that joke.
I'm immune. Do your worst.
Nanami loves her brother more than anything.
She feels guilty that her being alive means her father has to be dead because in return for saving her, Shichika forever ruined his chances of being a Perfected Deviant Blade because with his father's death, 5 of the 12 Kyotouryuu techniques went to the grave with him, and Shichika will always remain an incomplete Kyotouryuu practicioner because of this since he only managed to learn 7 Kyotouryuu techniques before his father died.
She's just a physically weak girl.
Her Grandfather had the same ability but WASN'T physically weak and caused lots of shit, so her dad figured out a way to kill people who possess said ability.
With the 13 moves of their style, which Shichika only knew 8 of when he killed his dad to save her, thereby dooming himself to be incomplete and unable to kill her. He was also only able to kill his Dad because he was preoccupied with her and he basically came out of left field and surprised him during his attempt to kill her cause ya know if you're a proper sword then Dad killing Sister really shouldn't have phased Shichika.
But then again, in both mind set and technique Shichika is lacking
Good thing Togame dies at the end so Shichika is able to make up the difference through a personality shift.
Oops, that last bit was a spoiler wasn't it? Maybe I shouldn't have typed it?
Best girl won.
Being from a warrior bloodline, I'd say she must have thought dying alone or in bed must have been too unbearable or because she did have Shichika by her side, that she suddenly found herself losing the will to live as I guess taking care of her brother must have been a huge part of why she was able to live for 27 years and not just give up and die much sooner.
Her body can't keep up with her strength, thing of it as a cable car where the cable's made of string
Awesome, thanks for the input.
She can't die even when she tries, not even with poison so she decided to use the curse of kyouto ryu. Shichika become a dull beginner at fighting when he hold a bouken (he can beat the n°1 samurai of japan with "bare hands") and nanami used a sword for weeks without eating, fighting over 1000 soldiers and STILL need to make shichika angry for him to be able to kill her.
Yup, she's this level of perfection.
In theory but from what we saw in the anime is she really weak?
Your dick attempt at spoilers was noted and completely disregarded. You don't honestly believe I'd start a thread on a show I haven't finished and not know how to avoid reading spoilers? This is my secret technique.
